Cast Iron Catering

Our #1 goal was to avoid “typical” wedding food. We came to Cast Iron with a super vague idea (a mix of Southern and Italian to reflect our heritages), and we had no idea how wonderfully everything would turn out! William and his team (Christa in particular) were super sweet, communicative, and offered us lots of options and opportunity for our feedback through all the menu planning. We don’t live locally so we didn’t get to have a taste test before the day, but we really didn’t stress about that because we knew the food would be great. It was AMAZING! People came up to us all night to compliment the meal and snacks so we knew it was yummy. And though neither I nor my husband actually had a bite of food the entire night (way too much going on to sit and eat), we enjoyed the leftovers once everything was over. I can’t overstate how great Cast Iron was and how happy we were with the food, bartending, and overall service!

The food was awesome but the communication was terrible in my opinion. They were nice and customer friendly but we encountered far too many issues in dealing with them. They over charged us for deposit, rescheduled tastings multiple times, and at times It was very hard to reach them. On the wedding day, the coordinator tried to give them the final payment many times and the continued to decline taking It at that moment. This caused quite a struggle for us after the wedding. They also conducted very unprofessional behavior by allowing guests to drink and make their own drinks BEFORE the ceremony even started. They also were allowing guests to make their own drinks during cocktail hour..... what was the point in having paid bartenders?? This upset us very much. We almost ran out of alcohol because they were being careless with our liquor. If someone had not said something to them, I’m sure this would’ve gone on for the rest of the night. I was satisfied with the other services but this displeased me very much. 2.5 stars at most.

Wow I don’t even know where to begin. Every single thing at my wedding was so delicious! The service of the cast iron team was fantastic.

William and his team made our Special day even more special because as everyone knows, please attend weddings to judge the Bride, the Cake, and the Food/Drinks! Well our guests were not disappointed one bit, as we have been told many times over. We asked for a special menu of heavy hors d' oeuvres instead of a sit down dinner. We also had a rendition of shrimp and grits along with my now husband's favorite foods (mini chicken tacos and mini cubans with fried pickles) Ahhmazzzinggg! The tables were also decorated beautifully. The staff was very pleasant and knew to keep giving the bride and groom food and drinks. They also boxed up food for us so we could eat later as you won't get to the day of your wedding!! I would hire William and his team all over again!!
