Cater 2U

For my sister's wedding, I acted as the wedding planner while my sister was deployed. She wanted a barn style wedding and choose Updike Farmstead in Princeton, NJ. Cater 2U helped me with everything (food, rentals, decor, flowers, etc.) which alleviated a lot of stress. Everything was beautiful! In spite of the heat, Cater 2U made sure that all of guests were well feed and hydrated. They even setup an ice tea and lemonade bar during the ceremony. My sister had the best day every. It was so classy, yet casual, and abosuletly the most amazing day ever. I give Corinne and Ursula five stars, because they made sure we had everything we needed. Even cupcake displays for the dessert my sister's friend made for her table of treats!

Cater2U provided catering services for my outdoor wedding and ceremony at the Smithville Mansion in Eastampton, NJ on June 28, 2014. I cannot truly express how amazed I was with the set-up, menu, staff, and overall ambiance they provided for our wedding. They helped walk us through every step of the way in planning, from the menu, to the rentals, to the overall design and setup. I was originally very nervous to plan all the nitty-gritty details but they explained everything in a clear, understandable, honest, and upfront way. That is exactly what every bride and groom needs...no monkey business like other places! It was very reassuring to know that one of the most important parts of our wedding was handled by experienced professionals. Mike, Joyce, and their entire staff made sure our day was perfect. Not only did they provide and AMAZING variety of food and excellent bar service, but they also provided us with peace of mind. The staff service was exceptional, and the cocktail hour, dinner, and dessert time were all executed flawlessly. The staff was helpful, friendly, and man did they get the job done! My guests are still raving about the delicious variety of appetizers, carving stations, entrees, and desserts! Cater2U knew exactly what to suggest to make sure our menu was fresh, seasonal, and fun. The taco bar was a HUGE favorite of our guests. The staff made sure that my husband and I were able to enjoy the delicious food even while we were entertaining our guests. They personally delivered us plates with everything that we wanted, and constantly refilled our glasses whenever we needed. We was SO HAPPY! For all you out there planning your big day, this is often something that is overlooked. But the Cater2U staff knew to take care of us because they have so much experience. Walking into our reception, we were so happy with how everything was set up. The tables and chairs were arranged perfectly and they placed the bar and tables in an outside courtyard. Our guests loved this because they could admire the grounds and gardens. The whole arrangement was exactly the vibe my husband and I wanted- beautiful and elegant outdoor affair where all of our guests could feel comfortable and enjoy themselves. Even the details of the plates, displays, and linens matched the vintage theme of our wedding. All my other brides out there know how important those little details are! Cater2U has been in business for almost 50 years, and there is one very simple reason why- they know their stuff. No gimmicks, no monkey-business, just beautiful results. THANK YOU! :)

Our overall experience was good. The food was excellent and the guests seemed to enjoyed themselves. The staff was pretty friendly too. However, we were told that we were going to recieve an ice sculpture, but we never got it. They mixed up two tables, which caused some confustion for our guests. The cake that we recieved through them was not exactly want we ordered. But it still tasted good. They also told us that the fire place would be on, but it wasn't. And they were very unorganized when we went in to confirm everything, including the price that we agreed on.

My wedding was in June, and we planned a Caribbean wedding at Cater 2U. The initial sale proved to be great because they promise the world to me for my wedding day (that should have been my queue to look elsewhere). The ceremony and the reception were held at this establishment. We contracted to have a traditional Caribbean Wedding that included a package deal which offered a wedding coordinator, DJ (which I should add was supposed to be Caribbean), catering, cake table settings and chair covers, and an open bar. The week before the wedding things started to fall apart the venue just book the DJ, and we had to provide him with our style music to play. The venue’s coordinator failed to coordinate with me about the detail of the ceremony and the agenda for the day. In addition she was nowhere to be found at the reception. So I ask a close friend, who is a coordinator, to assist. The groom’s cake was made by an outside vendor that I personally knew, that informed me of the late notice to bake the traditional rum cake, which had I known earlier, that would have been a deal breaker for me and the groom. In addition, they promised food that was so off the mark that my family, who are Caribbean, informed me that they were not satisfied with the caterer’s rendition of Caribbean food. However, the nontraditional food was great. If you can picture it, they even tried to be cheap with the air conditioning when it was about 100 degrees outside. The open bar was limited, we had a special drink that was supposed to be marketed to the guests as the bride and groom’s Caribbean sunset, and the barmaid failed to do so. The bar maid’s knowledge of drinks was also limit (for example a White Russian made with half and half). All and All I enjoyed my wedding, I got pass the issues, and focused on the meaning of the day. In short I will out recommend this venue for specialty wedding‘s.
