ious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. We left our tasting counting down the days until our wedding because we couldn't wait for our family and friends to experience the food too.
There were so many standout dishes, but I have to give a special shout-out to two of my favorites. We added the strawberry lemonade with mango ice as our signature happy hour drink, and it was an absolute hit. It was refreshing, unique, and the perfect treat on a hot summer day. And then there were the mashed potatoes...which, as a mashed potato enthusiast, is saying a lot! They were hands down some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had and were absolutely to die for.
On our wedding day, the entire staff was incredible. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. One of the waiters even put together a plate with every cocktail hour appetizer so my husband and I wouldn't miss out while we were taking photos and talking with our guests. It was such a thoughtful gesture that meant so much to us. Throughout the night, someone was always checking in to make sure I had food, a drink, or anything else I needed. As a bride, it's so easy to forget to eat because you're busy talking to everyone and soaking in every moment, so their kindness and attentiveness did not go unnoticed.
One of my favorite memories came after the wedding. They carefully boxed up all of our leftovers, and the next day my husband and I picked them up before heading back to our hotel. We spent the day relaxing, reliving our favorite moments from the wedding, and eating the most amazing leftovers. Honestly, it was the perfect way to end the best weekend of our lives.
To this day, our guests still rave about the food. Whenever someone brings up our wedding, one of the first things they mention is how incredible everything tasted. Amazing food, outstanding service, and a staff that truly goes above and beyond—John Lowe Catering delivered all of that and more. We are so grateful they were part of our wedding day and helped make it unforgettable. 🤍

The tasting experience was fantastic. It was clear that the chef takes great pride in his work, and that passion was reflected in every dish we sampled. When our wedding day arrived, the quality and service exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding, the presentation was beautiful, and our guests absolutely loved it. We are still hearing compliments about how delicious the meal was!
One of our favorite touches was the dessert platters. They were the perfect addition to the evening, and there was just the right amount for our guests to enjoy. Everything was thoughtfully planned and executed.
We were also incredibly grateful for the care they took with food allergies. We had several guests with dietary restrictions, and the team took every request seriously. They made note of each allergy in advance and ensured accommodations were in place on the wedding day. It gave us peace of mind knowing our guests could enjoy the meal safely without having to worry.

The staff members were all so friendly, professional and knowledgeable and made the experience great! I was blown away by the crostini bar they created (all gf!) and how filled the table was with all different food selections. It was truly STUNNING!! Everyone was raving about it! We had a chef attended lunch buffet with multiple options and the presentation was beautiful! From carved beef tenderloin with potato latkes and poached eggs laced with hollandaise, to pan seared rock shrimp and coconut curry over risotto cakes, a pear salad, and gf muffins. For dessert we had a pear tartlet, panna cotta topped with pear granita and assorted macaroons and all were outstanding! John and his team go above and beyond with their presentation and taste. You can tell how passionate he is about food. Our wedding day came and everything was outstanding. As the bride and groom we had our own personal server during cocktail hour to ensure we got to enjoy everything with all the chaos that comes with pictures and such. From happy hour to dinner to desserts, specialty drinks and late night snacks, everything is top tier. Almost 2 months later and our friends are still talking about the food. I’d rate John and his team higher than 5 stars if it was an option. Our wedding day would not have been the same without them!
We were really picky when it came to choosing our wedding caterer. We love food — and we’ve been to a few weddings where the event was amazing, but the food didn’t quite measure up...
. From our very first meeting with John Lowe Catering, we were completely wowed.
They had us sample several appetizers and meal options, and everything was so good that we literally wrote a check and paid the deposit before we even left the building. That’s how confident we were.
Fast forward to our wedding day — and all anyone could talk about was the food. The cocktail hour bites were incredible, and guests were going back for seconds (and thirds) at the buffet. As the bride and groom, we were completely spoiled — someone from their team even brought us our own plates and made sure we were taken care of. It felt like such a thoughtful touch.
Since we didn’t hire a full planner, we managed most of the coordination ourselves. The venue required a lot of paperwork from vendors, and John Lowe’s team could not have been more patient, kind, or helpful — even when we asked the same question multiple times.
I’m still dreaming about their food. I can’t recommend John Lowe Catering enough to anyone who wants to prioritize high-quality, delicious food and truly exceptional service on their wedding day.

was definitely daunting, but the staff was incredibly kind and responsive to any questions or changes/alternations throughout the process. The food tasting was our favorite part of the planning process, and they even made that feel extra special. We went with family style, which was perfect for our wedding, and our family absolutely loved it. We only had 55 guests, with the majority being close family, and the family-style made it feel much more special. Also, I still hear about how good the food was. Highly recommend.

The long and short of the situation is this: The experience was frustrating every single step of the way. To the point that the quality of the food didn't even matter at that point, I was fuming in the days before the wedding because all of the frustrations over the past year compounding.
At every turn we were told no to things, even when they had been promised at the tasting. And on the wedding day our kids didn't eat because of their screw up, and rather than apologizing or trying to make it right we just got a shrug and were told they were out of food.
I waited a week to cool down before writing the review but instead I'm MORE upset because I'm a nice person and I feel like I got walked over by them and that's not okay.

Our favorite part was that they went above and beyond to ensure my husband and I got to taste all the delicious food we had chosen. We had our own server for the day and right after the ceremony, we got to try our amazing appetizers with a special tray just for us. They also ensured we got some of everything on our plate for dinner and it gave us the opportunity to make sure we actually ate our meal on such a crazy day. Our guests raved about how delicious everything was, and the late night wanderer station was a HUGE hit! To top it all off, they sent us home with leftovers that we got to enjoy the next day. John Lowe also offers a unique family style serving option that is the perfect balance between a buffet and served dinner. My husband and I both come from Jewish families and I was initially really anxious and concerned about finding vendors who would be able to accommodate our guests and their expectations. John Lowe and the team EXCEEDED our expectations with their attention to detail, food requests, assisting us in finding a few glatt kosher meals and a few surprises for my husband and a few couples who were celebrating anniversaries and recent nuptials. Everyone was raving about our food and we also LOVED everything. I have to give a special shout out to the server they had working with us - she was SO respectful, kind, and attentive. I was not sure how closely I wanted to be followed around during my wedding and she was incredibly respectful but when she saw my husband and I were not getting enough food during cocktail hour, swooped in (with a second server!) to make sure we actually got to enjoy the food and drinks on our day. Susan was so lovely (as always) and we just cannot express enough thanks for their flexibility, attention, hand holding, guidance, all of it. I highly highly recommend this team. People also often tell you before your wedding to make sure you eat because you get so caught up in the moment that you might forget. Well, the staff made sure we didn't forget to eat. They served us a full plate as soon as we got into the reception and waited on us hand and foot the rest of the night while still providing wonderful service to the rest of our guests.

You are able to try many different options, ones that you may have not even thought of, and I can promise you, you will not leave hungry!! So many of the guests called to rave about the food and to say it was the best meal they ever had at a wedding. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend this caterer for any occasion !
