ere to set up tables, put out favors etc... well that was far from the truth. I arrived at the venue to find the only people there were two guys dropping off table cloths. We had decided on all cream for the dining tables and black for cocktail tables. They brought black for the dining tables and white for the cocktail tables. They said that they could not switch them out and after my day-of coordinator made them call Carson, the best they could provide was a mix of cream and white. In addition to the wrong colors, they didn't bring the long top table table cloths so my bridal party ended up being squeezed onto shorter tables with once again the wrong color table cloths. Next up was the fact that my mother and I ended up being the ones that had to put out all of the chargers, decorations, favors etc... all because their staff did not show up until the very last minute. I was putting everything out until 4:30 and the ceremony started at 5. We had so much to do that I didn't have any time in the bridal suite with my bridesmaids and simply had to go upstairs, put on my dress and go! I missed out on valuable time and ended up with very few pictures before the ceremony. As we got into the cocktail hour, the bar staff did not put out our signature cocktail and seemed less than pleased that we were doing a champagne toast. I cannot stress how many times I was told "Dont worry! You just tell us what you want and we make sure that it happens!" and the service that we received was simply the opposite of that. Carson set these expectations and then didn't follow through and she didn't even show up on the day to help. Overall, the food was the only good thing about Mopsies. The service was so terrible that I would never recommend Mopsies to any couples. As I said before, the one and only thing about my wedding day that was stressful was Mopsies lack of service and professionalism. I did reach out to Mopsies but they never responded.

Close to the last minute, we decided we wanted a remote bar for cocktail hour and they did not hesitate and made it happen! My husband and I also overlooked a missing detail that was important to us and we brought it up to Mopsie two days before the wedding. They came through and surprised us by serving a dish that we originally wanted but accidentally did not order! I cannot thank them enough for making our wedding day so seamless and stress free. I highly recommend them and would definitely work with them again!!

ment, guests were unable to eat the steamed dumplings offered during the cocktail hour, as there were no bamboo picks or forks in sight. Wait staff said they did not have anything for guests to use to manage the dumplings. Also, the bride and groom spent time selecting their wedding cake, to share with guests during this most important day. As guests went to dance, wait staff tossed out our guests uneaten cake....such a disappointment for us. Note to Mopsies Owners, don’t forget the little details. Please instruct your wait staff to not remove a guests plate or serving of wedding cake, without speaking directly to the guest. Hoping this note improves service for the next wedding party.

Amy provided a lot of information to me when I first contacted her and she was very prompt to reply to all my emails. We ordered their BBQ dinner buffet and upgraded the sides to green beans, mashed potatoes, and mac & cheese. It was delicious and my guests are still raving about how wonderful the food was! We had an outdoor wedding and a cold front came through that day, and somehow Mopsie managed to keep all the food very warm and still tasting excellent! Their setup included a staff member who brought my husband and myself a plate of food before all the other guests and refilled our drinks; this was amazing because a bride and groom usually have hardly any time to eat on their wedding day as you have so many guests to greet. We were able to enjoy our meal and then go around and talk to our guests. We also booked their bartending services and they did a great job there as well. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

We were disappointed in their lack of flexibility with changes in timeline on the day of the wedding, which resulted in cold food being served and not having the complimentary butler as in contract for bride and groom. Although the prime rib was excellent, the forks during cocktail hour were missing and the pasta in Alfredo was over cooked. When we expressed these things along with other hiccups only two short days following the event, they took staff's word over our own - so the bad experience was followed by decreased commitment to customer service/satisfaction. Next time I would consult with more catering vendors prior to making a final decision - they are known for BBQ and we should have been more aware of that before taking them out of there comfort zone. RESPONSE TO THE COMPANY'S COMMENT BELOW: I would not typically do this, BUT I do not appreciate the the false comment "satisfying the mother of the bride." The response to our email listing our complaints was far from satisfying as it was a list of excuses. Their response to this review highlights those excuses and lack of flexibility. I do not believe we are the first wedding to run late, nor will be the last. All vendors adjusted accordingly. We have not at any point expected perfection; however, we simply are disappointed in their refusal to take accountability for their shortcomings during our event. Side note: We do not have a group of family and friends that would come to beautiful wedding and complained including ourselves, which is why we waited to discuss these concerns shortly following the event.

With BBQ my biggest concern is usually about the meat not being tender enough, and boy was that not an issue! Upon starting to cut into our brisket, we found it only needed a light push with a fork before it would break up nicely on the plate. It was so tender! They did a great job catering our wedding (for a great price!) and we were very satisfied with our decision.

Their prices are extremely reasonable, and I received many compliments on the brisket and chicken. Because of the variety of food and sides they offered, we were able to satisfy all the guests and had plenty of food left over that I sent home with my family! I loved how they also included a complimentary water/coffee station and cake cutting. There was one small issue since my wedding cake was small and between many other desserts on the dessert table, so the servers were hesitant to try to cut it and did not seem to know how to problem-solve, and therefore did not want to cut the cake. My sister had to step in and move the cake to another table where they had space to cut it after a brief "argument" (her words). Other than that they were really helpful, efficient, and friendly! I would recommend Catering by Mopsie for any event!

We had some sort of problem with the scallops wrapped in bacon so the caterer brought the scallops back out after unwrapping them from the bacon. We also ordered an ice cream bar and they served the ice cream on plates....strangely neglecting bowls. Guests steered away, fearing dumping ice cream on themselves. All the food delivered to us, the couple, specially was cold and not that tasty. Finally, for some weird reason, they thought we choose not to serve red wine and thus did not have an red wine available. However, rather than focusing on the food, my husband and I were focused on each other and making sure our guests had a good time so it was a blip on our screen. Bottom line, I would not recommend Mopsie if you want to be certain about the quality.

When I know most vendors would have just laughed and ignored my requests, she helped me with it all! Mopsies is amazing, and will continue to be recommended to everyone I know!

We selected the BBQ plate for our wedding, and specifically chose the brisket and smoked turkey which were both very tender and moist and packed with lots of Smokey flavor! We decided to upgrade our sides for only a couple of dollars more which was worth it to us to select macaroni and cheese, rosemary red potatoes, and seasonal sautéed veggies for achieving the ultimate comfort food dining experience for us and our guest. Everyone raved about our food and said it was one of the best meals they had ever eaten at a wedding giving them full bellies and happy hearts! They also cut and served our wedding cake for us. Amy and her team were very professional and attentive to work with throughout the planning process! Definitely attend one of their open house catering experiences to sample their wonderful food selection which will help you choose what you would like to serve at your wedding. At the end of the night, they packed up hearty filled to- go- boxes of our catering food and several pieces of our cake which we noshed on for days after our wedding. You can’t go wrong with the BBQ plates and up graded sides for a delicious buffet with Mopsie catering!

Catering By Mopsie was not only delicious (seriously some of the best beans I've had with my BBQ), they were able to accommodate my guests with a pasta primavera dish, as well as offered numerous appetizer options that were fantastic - and we ordered those blind without tasting! There was plenty of food, and service for the bride/groom were amazing. There was no way we were not eating at our own party! There was a dedicated runner to bring the wedding party appetizers while we were taking photos during cocktail hour, and the bride/groom were served individual platters instead of having to go through the buffet line, which allowed us some much needed alone time to breathe in between the whirlwind of the wedding day. Cannot say enough good things about this company, thank you for a great day!
