So amazing everyone was so pleased with the menu we chose and bobby made it easy! He stayed in touch throughout the entire time. I would recommend catering by mopsie to anyone!

I would never recommend Mopsies to any couples planning their weddings! During my final walk through, we met with Carson who promised time and time again that her team would be there to set up tables, put out favors etc... well that was far from the truth. I arrived at the venue to find the only people there were two guys dropping off table cloths. We had decided on all cream for the dining tables and black for cocktail tables. They brought black for the dining tables and white for the cocktail tables. They said that they could not switch them out and after my day-of coordinator made them call Carson, the best they could provide was a mix of cream and white. In addition to the wrong colors, they didn't bring the long top table table cloths so my bridal party ended up being squeezed onto shorter tables with once again the wrong color table cloths. Next up was the fact that my mother and I ended up being the ones that had to put out all of the chargers, decorations, favors etc... all because their staff did not show up until the very last minute. I was putting everything out until 4:30 and the ceremony started at 5. We had so much to do that I didn't have any time in the bridal suite with my bridesmaids and simply had to go upstairs, put on my dress and go! I missed out on valuable time and ended up with very few pictures before the ceremony. As we got into the cocktail hour, the bar staff did not put out our signature cocktail and seemed less than pleased that we were doing a champagne toast. I cannot stress how many times I was told "Dont worry! You just tell us what you want and we make sure that it happens!" and the service that we received was simply the opposite of that. Carson set these expectations and then didn't follow through and she didn't even show up on the day to help. Overall, the food was the only good thing about Mopsies. The service was so terrible that I would never recommend Mopsies to any couples. As I said before, the one and only thing about my wedding day that was stressful was Mopsies lack of service and professionalism. I did reach out to Mopsies but they never responded.

The food was delicious!! The BBQ was a hit among our guests and a few went up for seconds. The staff was very professional and our event went off without a hitch. We were definitely happy with Mopsie and would recommend to others.

Catering by Mopsie did an AMAZING job at our reception. We got the BBQ and it was fabulous. All of my guests were raving about it that night a still after. The coordinator and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and helped everything go off perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a better catering company.

The food was delicious! We had the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, grilled vegetables, and rolls. Our guests raved about how good the food was. We also had an appetizer, and coffee bar. Everything was perfect! The service was outstanding as well. I highly recommend catering by Mopsie!

Catering by Mopsie was incredible to work with!! The staff at our wedding was very professional and attentive throughout the entire evening. We chose the BBQ buffet and it was absolutely delicious. Our guests continued to compliment the food and the service too! Close to the last minute, we decided we wanted a remote bar for cocktail hour and they did not hesitate and made it happen! My husband and I also overlooked a missing detail that was important to us and we brought it up to Mopsie two days before the wedding. They came through and surprised us by serving a dish that we originally wanted but accidentally did not order! I cannot thank them enough for making our wedding day so seamless and stress free. I highly recommend them and would definitely work with them again!!

My daughter and son in law selected Mopsies for their wedding in Hill Country this past weekend. The food was outstanding- brisket was tender and sides delicious. To our disappointment, guests were unable to eat the steamed dumplings offered during the cocktail hour, as there were no bamboo picks or forks in sight. Wait staff said they did not have anything for guests to use to manage the dumplings. Also, the bride and groom spent time selecting their wedding cake, to share with guests during this most important day. As guests went to dance, wait staff tossed out our guests uneaten cake....such a disappointment for us. Note to Mopsies Owners, don’t forget the little details. Please instruct your wait staff to not remove a guests plate or serving of wedding cake, without speaking directly to the guest. Hoping this note improves service for the next wedding party.

Book them!!! Mopsie was one of the most professional and prompt wedding vendors that I dealt with throughout my whole wedding planning process and they made this part easy for me. Amy provided a lot of information to me when I first contacted her and she was very prompt to reply to all my emails. We ordered their BBQ dinner buffet and upgraded the sides to green beans, mashed potatoes, and mac & cheese. It was delicious and my guests are still raving about how wonderful the food was! We had an outdoor wedding and a cold front came through that day, and somehow Mopsie managed to keep all the food very warm and still tasting excellent! Their setup included a staff member who brought my husband and myself a plate of food before all the other guests and refilled our drinks; this was amazing because a bride and groom usually have hardly any time to eat on their wedding day as you have so many guests to greet. We were able to enjoy our meal and then go around and talk to our guests. We also booked their bartending services and they did a great job there as well. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Mopsie did a fabulous job at our wedding! We chose to do the chicken cordon bleu, and it was absolutely delicious! As I walked around the reception hall during the reception, my guests raved about the food! Overall, I am super pleased with their services!

Unfortunately, we did not get the quality of service that correlates with the reviews. I chose this company because they had amazing reviews and we were nervous about the uniqueness of venue (which had no kitchen on site) and a limit of 9 caterers to select from. Needless to the say there was a lack of follow through with set up as requested various times over email. We were disappointed in their lack of flexibility with changes in timeline on the day of the wedding, which resulted in cold food being served and not having the complimentary butler as in contract for bride and groom. Although the prime rib was excellent, the forks during cocktail hour were missing and the pasta in Alfredo was over cooked. When we expressed these things along with other hiccups only two short days following the event, they took staff's word over our own - so the bad experience was followed by decreased commitment to customer service/satisfaction. Next time I would consult with more catering vendors prior to making a final decision - they are known for BBQ and we should have been more aware of that before taking them out of there comfort zone. RESPONSE TO THE COMPANY'S COMMENT BELOW: I would not typically do this, BUT I do not appreciate the the false comment "satisfying the mother of the bride." The response to our email listing our complaints was far from satisfying as it was a list of excuses. Their response to this review highlights those excuses and lack of flexibility. I do not believe we are the first wedding to run late, nor will be the last. All vendors adjusted accordingly. We have not at any point expected perfection; however, we simply are disappointed in their refusal to take accountability for their shortcomings during our event. Side note: We do not have a group of family and friends that would come to beautiful wedding and complained including ourselves, which is why we waited to discuss these concerns shortly following the event.

They were great and loved the food. The meat was a tad dry compared to our food tasting but the amazing summer salad made up for it. The salad and mac and cheese were my favorite items

We had the BBQ buffet at our wedding and was delicious! We received so many compliments on how good the food was. Also, the staff was so helpful all night long! They set up all the tables and chairs and helped break everything down after the night was over. We had a great experience with them!

We went with the BBQ buffet, which was delicious. We were able to set up a tasting beforehand (and Mopsie's was very accommodating, as we live out of state). The buffet ran smoothly during the wedding, and it was a great touch having someone carving the brisket on-site. It was simple enough to do the buffet, and we're glad we went with Catering by Mopsie!

Mopsie really was an incredible caterer from start to finish. We went with the double entree Filet Minion and Chicken, both were delicious. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how much they loved the food and the service. Amy was great to work with throughout the planning process. She was always quick to respond to questions and flexible in any requests that we had. I really can't think of a single criticism. We cannot recommend them enough!

Catering by Mopsie was way ahead of the pack early on in the planning process. They were responsive, detailed, professional, and easy to work with. We chose to go with the BBQ buffet to give our many out of state guests a little taste of Texas while providing a crowd-pleaser for the rest. With BBQ my biggest concern is usually about the meat not being tender enough, and boy was that not an issue! Upon starting to cut into our brisket, we found it only needed a light push with a fork before it would break up nicely on the plate. It was so tender! They did a great job catering our wedding (for a great price!) and we were very satisfied with our decision.

After calling around to many other catering companies for my wedding, I discovered Catering by Mopsie on The Knot, and immediately knew I wanted to work with them. Amy was extremely professional and communicative, she worked and adapted to what I needed, showing reasonable flexibility, and her staff were well prepared for the event. Their prices are extremely reasonable, and I received many compliments on the brisket and chicken. Because of the variety of food and sides they offered, we were able to satisfy all the guests and had plenty of food left over that I sent home with my family! I loved how they also included a complimentary water/coffee station and cake cutting. There was one small issue since my wedding cake was small and between many other desserts on the dessert table, so the servers were hesitant to try to cut it and did not seem to know how to problem-solve, and therefore did not want to cut the cake. My sister had to step in and move the cake to another table where they had space to cut it after a brief "argument" (her words). Other than that they were really helpful, efficient, and friendly! I would recommend Catering by Mopsie for any event!

Catering by Mopsie is AMAZING and you cannot go wrong with hiring them for your wedding. We did the BBQ buffet and people couldn't stop talking about how great the food was (and that's always a big deal at weddings!). Amy was wonderful to work with. She always kept us in the loop. We actually were never able to go in for a tasting- my husband and I live out of town and are in the medical field so our schedules are so hectic- but we didn't have one fear of the food not being fantastic. Hire them for your wedding! They won't disappoint!

We had the bbq for our 150 person wedding. The food was SO GOOD! Our guests went back for seconds and thirds, and kept praising how delicious the food was. We planned our wedding from a different state, and Amy was very helpful and accommodating.

We had a pretty terrible experience with Mopsie. Communication from Mopsie was pretty poor leading to the wedding. While the price was good, the quality was pretty poor. For instance, the appetizers looked tossed on the haphazardly on the platters. We had some sort of problem with the scallops wrapped in bacon so the caterer brought the scallops back out after unwrapping them from the bacon. We also ordered an ice cream bar and they served the ice cream on plates....strangely neglecting bowls. Guests steered away, fearing dumping ice cream on themselves. All the food delivered to us, the couple, specially was cold and not that tasty. Finally, for some weird reason, they thought we choose not to serve red wine and thus did not have an red wine available. However, rather than focusing on the food, my husband and I were focused on each other and making sure our guests had a good time so it was a blip on our screen. Bottom line, I would not recommend Mopsie if you want to be certain about the quality.

Simply the best choice I made for our wedding. Food was great, and their staff were amazing. When a little rain started to fall between the ceremony and reception, Mopsie staff went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that everything goes well. Mopsies was the best vendor choice we made for our hill country wedding. The food was phenomonal - and we all know that is the most important thing at a wedding! We chose to have their award winning bbq and we absolutely can see why it is award winning. The sides we had were also great, and the wait staff was very timely and helpful with requests. Amy was very helpful throughout the entire process - she made sure everything was just the way I wanted even down the the day before the wedding. When I know most vendors would have just laughed and ignored my requests, she helped me with it all! Mopsies is amazing, and will continue to be recommended to everyone I know!

Absolutely amazing! You can't beat their pricing on food and table settings. We had nothing but compliments on the BBQ. People told us it was some of the best brisket that they've had. The servers were very attentive and helpful to everyone's needs. I would hire them for any event and highly recommend them for yours. Mopsie Catering was an amazing catering company to work with for our wedding! They have an extremely large selection of menu options to choose from that will surely fit you and your guest palette preference all with being budget friendly. We selected the BBQ plate for our wedding, and specifically chose the brisket and smoked turkey which were both very tender and moist and packed with lots of Smokey flavor! We decided to upgrade our sides for only a couple of dollars more which was worth it to us to select macaroni and cheese, rosemary red potatoes, and seasonal sautéed veggies for achieving the ultimate comfort food dining experience for us and our guest. Everyone raved about our food and said it was one of the best meals they had ever eaten at a wedding giving them full bellies and happy hearts! They also cut and served our wedding cake for us. Amy and her team were very professional and attentive to work with throughout the planning process! Definitely attend one of their open house catering experiences to sample their wonderful food selection which will help you choose what you would like to serve at your wedding. At the end of the night, they packed up hearty filled to- go- boxes of our catering food and several pieces of our cake which we noshed on for days after our wedding. You can’t go wrong with the BBQ plates and up graded sides for a delicious buffet with Mopsie catering!

Mopsies was absolutely amazing. They are some of the most affordable caterers in the Austin area for the quality that you will receive. We had a private tasting with Amy before the wedding, where we received amazing service and were able to sample some of their catering options to help us decide which menu we wanted to go with. My guests loved the chips and guacamole during cocktail hour, and the fajitas that they served at our wedding were delicious. The service that Mopsies provided us on our wedding day was incredible. Table side service for my husband and I, they set us off with a to go box of food and cake, and they even helped light the sparklers at the end of the night. When we first started planning our Texas Hill Country wedding, we knew we wanted to serve our out-of-town guests a BBQ buffet. The caveat - I have a handful of family/friends who were vegetarian. Catering By Mopsie was not only delicious (seriously some of the best beans I've had with my BBQ), they were able to accommodate my guests with a pasta primavera dish, as well as offered numerous appetizer options that were fantastic - and we ordered those blind without tasting! There was plenty of food, and service for the bride/groom were amazing. There was no way we were not eating at our own party! There was a dedicated runner to bring the wedding party appetizers while we were taking photos during cocktail hour, and the bride/groom were served individual platters instead of having to go through the buffet line, which allowed us some much needed alone time to breathe in between the whirlwind of the wedding day. Cannot say enough good things about this company, thank you for a great day!

We could not be more pleased with Catering by Mopsie, who catered our wedding this last Friday. The food and service were incredible, and the entire experience was perfect! We worked with Amy and she was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. We have received so many compliments about how good the food was, especially the mashed potatoes and chicken marsala. The staff is very professional and on top of it. I never saw an empty glass or plate left anywhere. They have a variety of services: moving chairs from ceremony to reception, bussing tables, taking out trash...the works! I would recommend them for any wedding or event! Amy, thank you to you and your team for making our evening flawless! I would - and will - confidently hire Catering by Mopsie for future event needs. We hosted a semi-formal banquet for just over 100 people at the beautiful Texas Hill Country Olive Company in Dripping Springs, and Catering by Mopsie made everything easy and delicious! The wait staff arrived early and were patient, professional and super helpful during the event set up, going above and beyond to chip in with things like balloon untangling while waiting for banquet tables to be delivered (from another source). The food was excellent and the clean-up was prompt and thorough. Bonus - the pricing was excellent as well. Two thumbs up for Catering by Mopsie!

It was great working with Mopsies for our wedding! We are still getting compliments on the delicious food and the service was amazing. Not once did my husband or I have to think about how the catering was going, it was all taken care of for us! I definitely recommend them if you are searching for a full service caterer for your wedding!

We hired mopsie to cater our 150 person wedding on 4/2. While I did not get to experience the food like a guest did, I DID get to experience the excellent service that Mopsie as a bride. They prepared a generous plate of food for the groom and I and placed it at our tables before we even sat down. They checked on us throughout the dinner and made sure that we were satisfied. My favorite part was when the head-caterer ran all the way across the street to where we were taking photos to ask what my favorite salad dressing was! At the end of the night, Mopsie boxed us up some dinners and made sure they were in the car to head wherever we were. And last, but not least, I got a vital piece of advice from the one of the servers (bummed I don't remember his name): Before we made our grand exit, he told me "remember to stop a couple of times and kiss each other-- it looks great for pictures!". That was brilliant advice and we did just that. Thank you Mopsie!

Catering by Mopsie did a wonderful job catering for our March wedding! The entire process was very simple and Amy is wonderful to work with - very friendly and quick to respond to emails. We searched for our wedding caterer for a LONG time and were so grateful to find Catering by Mopsie - their pricing was the most reasonable we found by a landslide, and we got a lot of bang for our buck! The food was delicious and our guests are still raving about it! (It tasted even better at our wedding than at our tasting). The staff was also very professional and attentive during our reception - they even included a "private butler" to cater to my husband and I to make sure that we ate dinner! Something that's easy to be forgotten during all of the excitement. Overall, we were very pleased with their service and recommend them to anyone needing catering services! Thanks Mopsie!

Mopsie provided a BBQ buffet line for our wedding. The food was great and our guests were happy -- very pleased with the service. They had a special running and threw in some bonus services as well (such as appetizers and cake cutting). Keep up the great work!

Our catering was excellent. Amy was amazing to work with, everything was easy and on the day of the wedding it was flawless. We had our own personal butler and he climbed all the way to the top of this tower to make sure we got appetizers. So awesome.

Amy and her whole team were great the entire time we worked with them. She was so helpful deciding what to serve and stay within our budget. BBQ was a given for us and they are great at it! The food was hot and yummy! The turkey we went with was so good. It was not dry at all like what happens sometimes. We really enjoyed the leftovers that were packed up for us to snack on after the wedding. I enjoyed the food and working with Amy so it was for sure a win for me!

We uses Catering by Mopsie for our wedding in June. Amy was an excellent cater contact, and the food was excellent. We chose the chicken, fettuccine alfredo, and veggies. We had several compliments from our guests on the chicken. We highly recommend using this caterer for their services.
