Catering by Robert is an absolute must have caterer for your event. When my husband and I began planning our wedding in 2023, we were overwhelmed by the endless choices. Shortly into our search we connected with Susan at Catering by Robert and immediately felt a connection. During the initial tasting at their design studio, Susan was very informative, inviting and shared in our excitement. It felt like we were talking to family. From that moment on we knew our search was complete. Throughout the planning process, Susan and her team offered more than your standard catering package. Multiple group tastings, consistent communications and a design meeting to plan our linens, table arrangements and displays, all which the team sets up day of. Catering by Robert assisted with day of coordination far beyond the food and drinis. Our coordinator, Maryn, was there to help every step of the way helping with ceremony processions, ensuring our wedding party had drinks and snacks before cocktail hour and much more. The food we chose was absolutely incredible. We had endless compliments from friends and family on how wonderful everything tasted. Even better for us, they packaged up all of the leftover food for us to take home and enjoy. We could not be happier with everything Susan, Maryn and the entire Catering by Robert team helped us with and it was a pleasure getting work alongside them to ensure our day went as smooth as possible and executed even better than we imagined. Food is one of the most important elements of a wedding, and our food was excellent. Catering by Robert’s service and food were excellent and all of our guests kept going back for more! We went with their buffet option and I’m so glad we did! No one left hungry! Susan was beyond amazing, making sure there were food and drinks brought to the bridal suite after the ceremony. They served us first but because we were making rounds to say hello to all of our guests, our food went cold and they immediately brought us out another plate. There was SO MUCH FOOD. Some fan favorites were the mojo pork, sweet and sour chicken, the mashed potatoes, and pasta. Susan also provided the charger plates and other decor items at no additional cost which was AMAZING. Thank you so much for everything!

When my fiance and I began our journey as an engaged couple, we realized we didn't know a thing about planning a wedding. We live in Sweden and wanted to have our ceremony in my hometown of Clearwater, Florida- which was a lot of planning to do from across the pond. Susan at Catering By Robert not only went above and beyond to understand exactly what we wanted to do, but worked tirelessly to ensure that we would get our perfect day within the budget that we wanted. That's not even including the food, decoration, and coordination- all of which were absolutely stellar. I'm genuinely not sure what we would have done without them- and my (now) husband and I both agree that our wedding may well have been the best day of our lives. Everything was perfect. We are also continuously hearing after the fact how well-coordinated everything was, in addition to how amazing the food turned out to be. If you're a couple looking for the all-in-one complete package for your wedding, we cannot recommend Catering By Robert enough. They are truly next level for the value that you get.

Susan and her team are absolutely amazing! From first meeting with her to wedding day it was a breeze. She also provides a lot of decor within her food packages which makes it a lot easier. She is your one stop shop for all wedding needs! The bi-monthly food tasting really helped out when it came down to choosing our menu. All the guest had great comments on the food. Working with Susan was amazing. To start, we ran into a stressful situation where our original venue backed out. Susan found our dream venue and it couldn't have been more perfect. She has so much knowledge and connections because her years of experience in the industry. Susan is great with communication and very on top of it. We're from Florida but don't live there anymore. I was nervous about planning an entire wedding from another state, but Catering by Robert made it a breeze. Susan was communicative, informative and wise during the entire 10-month process prior to our wedding. She made great recommendations and was always looking for a way to make things easier for us! When they say they are full service, they are not kidding--they thought of everything under the sun. On our wedding day, we were blown away with the kindness and professionalism of the entire catering staff. And people are still telling us how the food was the best food they'd had at a wedding in a long time--which is a huge compliment, considering we had several guests who work in restaurants and hospitality!

Catering By Robert handled our wedding, and while people raved about the food, I’d really like to call attention to the staff. They were beyond wonderful and friendly! And it wasn’t just Susan and Maryn, but every server, bartender, and staff member. We got compliments not just on the food, but their personalities as well. Beyond that, they provide so many different services in one easy, convenient package. We also planned this wedding almost 100% remotely from another state. Being able to work with them from so far away was a lifesaver!

From the start Catering by Robert has been the best. They truly made my wedding day spectacular. They have several tastings that you can attend which helps you figure out what you want for your wedding. They are truly a on stop shop from food, decorations to the day of coordinating. Where to begin?  Catering by Robert/Event Concepts was, simply put, AMAZING!  That is the best way to describe our experience.  From price, to food, to how my daughter's wedding day went, Catering by Robert was just amazing.  Specifically, Susan Stalnaker (owner) coordinated everything and all went without a hitch.  Everyone loved the food and the staff was fantastic!  Susan's vast experience proved to be priceless during the entire process - from the first day we met with her to the day of the wedding - she made herself available to us.  We will definitely be using them again for our next event!!!! TEN STARS OUT OF TEN!!!!!

It was a pleasure to work with Susan. It is evident that she and the Catering By Robert staff are very experienced. Several of the wedding guests raved that the food was delicious, and that there was a nice variety.

I cannot speak highly enough of Catering by Robert! We retained them last April for my daughter’s wedding this past January. Susan made everything go as smoothly as possible from day one. We have a lot (A LOT!) of complicated allergies in my family . So first we had a private sample tasting for which Susan took into account all of our dietary constraints. Then we attended regular events hosted to sample more of their food (the servers let us know what had gluten and other ingredients of concern) – it is like going to a reception with out the loud music! Even sampling signature drinks! To me this is going above and beyond anything I ever heard of. My daughter had very specific centerpiece ideas and wanted to do most of them herself but we were able to coordinate to use Robert’s supplies in some cases to save us money and effort. At the end of the evening the catering staff packed up all of the various pieces and sorted out which were my daughter’s and which were theirs. I am not at all comfortable hosting events (That is an understatement. I find it terrifying.) and as the day approached it was a relief to know that Susan was keeping track of all the vendors involved, the deliveries day-of etc. A Day-Of Coordinator can easily run $1500 just for that service and she tosses it in. Susan came over to Pinellas twice in advance, once to meet with the woman who runs the hall and to see the hall. Then the day before she happened to be able to bring us the tablecloths so we could set the tables up in advance. This is not always a practical thing to do and took so much pressure off that she happened to be able to do it. Susan has a calm demeanor and seems to take everything in stride and her presence and demeanor helped me to keep calm as we hosted the biggest event we have ever hosted. While the advance and Day-Of Coordination is nice, the primary reason to pick the caterer would be for the tasty food and Catering by Robert absolutely delivered on this. I am *thrilled* to have so much leftover mojo chicken in my freezer right now ( a lot of last minute cancels from covid/flu) and I would really, REALLY love to get that signature smokey cheddar dip recipe as we have been enjoying it since the wedding and I am pretty sad it is gone. The staff all did a super job and Maryn, our Coordinator, was very good at communicating and coordinating with me. By the time we started the reception I could just relax and know all was in good hands and I was able to enjoy the evening and even the wrap up at the end was so easy working with this excellent and professional team. Cateringbyrobert was amazing with helping us with all the big and little details of a wedding. Susan was so patient and helpful with helping us plan for our wedding while living all the way in Alaska. I would recommend cateringbyrobert as they made our special day come to life. Susan and her team were an absolute DREAM!! She was sooo communicative and helpful throughout the entire process! The group tasting events throughout our planning were fantastic- it really gave us a feel for their menu options (which are almost limitless) and how the staff functions at an event. It was so easy to customize everything and truly make our day exactly what we wanted. We had some last minute tweaks due to the groom’s mother being ill and they handled everything like complete professionals. The day of our wedding was perfect. Everything was taken care of without me having to lift a finger. Everything from the setup, the bar, the AMAZING food, AND the decor were perfection! Susan was absolutely amazing! With my family being in Texas and having the overwhelming feeling of disparity for help, Susan and her team stepped in and made my wedding planning so simple and inclusive. Susan helped us design our wedding, set up a menu, figure out decorations, and coordinate everything. The group tasting gave us an opportunity to try so many of the dishes and come up with the perfect menu for our wedding. The one on one meetings with Susan made all the little details come together beautifully. The fact that we started out just looking for a caterer and we were able to find someone to not only do that, but supply the table placements/china, linens, and coordinate the whole day made the experience simple and unforgettable. Our coordinator, Maryn, was a dream! She was on top of things the whole day and we were able to simply relax and enjoy our day. Susan and her team were amazing… people don’t often comment on the food but our guests did.. we served Prime Rib and the pieces were soooo large and the sides were a perfect match….the decorations that Susan used for the center pieces were beyond beautiful… thank you for making this such a beautiful day for our daughter…

Susan and the rest of the team at Catering by Robert are fantastic! Susan was with us every step of the way in the designing of the reception, and provided great input and recommendations. Everything turned out beautiful, and the food was delicious! We did a served buffet with the chicken marsala, Parma Rosa pasta, honey baked ham....and the star of the show, a giant dish of paella! At the end of the night, they packed up all our decorations and leftover food and put them in a spot close to the venue entrance, so all we had to do was put it in the car. Thank you all so much, everything was perfect!

This combo-team of caterer/event planner/rentals supplier absolutely NAILED what I asked for! And then some!!! I honestly can't think of a single negative thing to say... and I can be a bit of a harsh critic. Susan quickly replied to (and resolved) any and all communication from me, and from anyone else on my behalf. She asked excellent questions so she could be sure to give me exactly what I wanted; and her questions clearly demonstrated her many years of experience and expertise. She gave advice and offered solutions to problems that I didn't even know I had. She made sure that I was on top of things that needed to be done within a certain timeframe. On the day of my wedding, I sincerely felt like a queen. No exaggeration. She assigned a particular young woman to be my "assistant" for literally any and everything I could ask for, and then she also offered me things I didn't even know I wanted; all done within moments. (I REALLY wish I could remember her name to give her proper credit for truly making me feel like royalty!) The food was just incredible! I STILL have guests begging me for recipes from our wedding! The calypso meatballs - NOT TO BE MISSED! And the home-made vodka sauce... just mouth-watering!! EVERYTHING tasted WONDERFUL! And I am EXTREMELY picky... The fact that I was able to get my tables, chairs, plates, etc. and A TON of decor from them just made everything that much easier when it came to coordinating the whole event, especially on the big day. I KNOW for sure that I had to be a complete pain to work with; I was totally clueless every step of the way, I procrastinated everything because I'm also an indecisive control-freak... The list goes on and on... I can't imagine having my wedding done by anyone else! Every time I thought that Susan and her team were perfect, she'd go and do something else to surpass my hopes and expectations again! Every single person on her team that I encountered seemed so genuine and warm and happy to be helping our event run smoothly. They all felt like extended family! I'm so grateful that I was able to have this company for my wedding, thank you all soooo much!!! Words aren't enough! <3

Susan was so helpful throughout the planning process and her team helped us keep everything on track throughout the night. Susan and her team not only provided great food but also helped with event setup and decor. So happy we chose Catering by Robert for our welcome dinner!

This catering company was fantastic! The food was incredible! This company offers a day of coordinator, linens, and centerpieces included in their dinner prices. We went with a buffet style dinner, which was fast and efficient. We also used their bar service in which we provide the alcohol and they provide the mixers and bar tenders. The drinks were made really well and not too strong! We were able to have several meetings with Susan, who is so sweet and truly knows what she is doing. The staff was great and they also set up all the decorations we brought, as well as cleaned up. They even packed up all of the leftover food we had and sent it home with us. Overall, a great company with great prices that include so much, making it a stress free process!

If I could give them more than five stars I would! Susan and her team made our day so special. It was a pleasure working with them and I really appreciated how she was so responsive through the entire planning process. Highly recommend!!! Thank you again!

I was the planner for a friend's wedding and I can honestly say that the catering was the easiest thing to handle by far thanks to Catering by Robert. Susan made sure to have regular, open communication and even met with me on site well in advance of wedding to ensure that everything would be laid out as planned. The food was delicious and plentiful and came at a great price point. Also, she and her staff did an absolutely phenomenal job during the event and were extremely professional and kind. Susan and her crew at Catering by Robert were an incredible team to work with for our wedding! We live in East Orlando, but got married in Lake Wales and thankfully it was within their range. We came across CbR and it was such a gem. Reasonable prices. Delicious food. Beautiful table set ups. I cannot recommend Susan and the whole Catering by Robert team enough! I started working with Susan in 2018 when I got engaged and she was wonderful from the start, especially through the challenges of being a Covid couple (original date 6/6/2020). She checked in regularly and helped to make sure I had every but if support and advice I needed including other vendor recommendations (all of which were fabulous!) She and her team made our entire wedding day run so smoothly! We ran out of a specific liquor during our reception and rather than just say that we were out of that spirit, someone from her team went to pick up more so that our guests could enjoy the drinks they wanted. On top of all of the fantastic service and team members the food was to die for! All of our guests commented on how good the food was and there was plenty for everyone to try some of everything. Overall, Susan and her team made my and my husbands wedding day the best day ever and if you are looking for the most well rounded catering and design team, look no further than Catering by Robert!!

Catering by Robert is absolutely superb!!! Our daughters wedding reception was a huge success because of Susan and her team!!! We presented Susan with specific food challenges and she knocked it out of the park with Vegan and Gluten Free delicious dishes!! Some of our guests did not even realize some of the food was vegan (plant based proteins) and said how delicious it was. Susan’s team was impeccable. They were so kind and professional. Kept the food hot and I noticed when they served your food it was artfully placed on the plate…not just slopped on. I highly recommend Catering By Robert!!!

Susan, the owner, and her team were amazing from day one. The food was phenomenal, the service exceptional, and Susan herself helped me so much along the way. We had a buffet style dinner with a chicken option, pasta, salad, rolls, sides and a carving station. Susan's team provides table clothes, silverware, plates, chargers, centerpieces (you buy the flowers), etc. so a large portion of the décor is handled. Fantastic caterer. On time with everything we needed for 102 outdoor wedding at our home. I could not have asked for better service. Very professional and kind. Came to our home several times prior to wedding to make sure everything was happening correctly. Highly recommend them.

We immediately started our search for another caterer, after seeing the great reviews and after the first meeting with Susan, we knew they were it! Susan was great to work with for my daughter's wedding! Even with the pandemic delaying our event, she was always so accommodating and knowledgeable. It really was helpful to have her provide the day of coordination, catering, bar service, table linens & decorations. It seemed to simplify many details for us. We were able to attend many tastings which was helpful in planning the menu. She contacted our other vendors to make sure everything was on schedule. We had so many guests compliment how beautiful everything was and the food was amazing! The staff was so attentive to all our guests, they really went out of their way to provide outstanding service! Heather went above and beyond in coordinating the ceremony location and happily helped us with some unique challenges. Susan's expertise and calm demeanor was invaluable, and we found it wise to follow her advice!

We did a lot of research before choosing a caterer. Catering by Robert was a perfect fit for us. We had a 125 person wedding and they took care of literally everything for us. I didn't have to lift a finger the day of to worry about putting tables together or where the cake would go or the leftover food. We were able to meet with them several times prior to our big day. They had monthly tastings so we could really decide on what we liked for our reception. Everyone from our wedding commented on the food all night and how good the decor was. The best part was that they cleaned up all our decor at the end of the night and even sent us home with desserts. I would recommend them to anyone who asks. Truly a full service company that was so caring and put in a lot of attention to detail.

We booked Catering by Robert 11 months in advance. We we very fortunate to attend and truly enjoy several taste testings at different venues offered by Catering by Robert to help choose our wedding menu. We also met with Susan several times to review our place settings and decorations. Susan was such a great resource for ideas and for decorations. Susan always answered our questions very quickly. She was always calm and had great advice! The day of our wedding was fabulous! So happy we hired Catering by Robert to do our entire set up and take down as well as provide our bar service and all the food! Our cocktail hour was great with drinks and hand passed hors d’oeuvres. Everything was displayed beautifully and all guests enjoyed the service. When it was time for the buffet, we were so pleased with our choice of food. So much food displayed so professionally and the buffet line moved at a steady pace thanks to Susan’s planning. The hand carved ham as well the huge dish of Paella were both a big hit with guests. We had a great variety for all to choose from. The food was delicious and the evening went so smoothly. I am grateful that Susan was there through the entire process so that everything was perfect on our wedding day!

We have actually be working with Susan (one of the owner of cateringbyrobert) for almost 2 years due to several reschedulings as a result of the pandemic. We finally had our wedding this August 2021 (originally scheduled for April 2020), and we are very happy with Susan. This is not only a catering of food service, but what you sign up for when you hire cateringbyrobert is the whole wedding package. Susan tirelessly and patient worked with us throughout our preparation process in helping us pick out everything from our table runners, food, meal presentation designs to the order of our ceremony procession. It becomes instantly clear that she is very experienced in this wedding business and has an eye for detail that any bride would appreciate. Susan made sure that things were tucked and taken care of - when I didn't even know that those things existed (and would have definitely presented as problems on the day of if it weren't for Susan). Speaking of the day of, Susan and her team arrived ready to make everything perfect and just the way we had been discussing. The setup was impeccable and really complimented our venue. Her team was swift and effortless - they were able to work the entire event without being disruptive, and we could not be more grateful for this. Catering by Robert- Review We cannot say enough positive things about Susan and her team. From our first meeting we knew that she was going to be instrumental throughout our wedding planning process. The multiple food tasting opportunities assisted us with planning the perfect wedding day menu. Susan was always available to answer any questions and provided us with wonderful guidance to ensure that our special day was the most fantastic day ever. What could have been a stressful moment was already take care of! Our guests loved the food and I only heard good things! If you’re looking for a Day of Coordinator and/or a catering company I highly recommend!

Susan took my Pinterest dreams and made them reality. Actually, her team made it better! From start to finish, Susan and her team were so thorough and made the day completely stress free! Also the food was amazing. I highly recommend the Paella, as every guest came up to tell me how good it was! Can't thank Susan enough for all her hard work! It was really a dream come true!

Susan and her staff were so wonderful to work with! They had multiple tastings which offered a wide variety to choose from. The food was amazing I can’t say it enough. Everybody loved the beef empanadas we had in the pasta with the scallops and shrimp in it. Everybody kept raving about the food the whole night. Susan‘s daughter and husband were our bartenders and they were so fun to work with. Their Margaritas were a HUGE hit! Everybody had a great time. Susan also does decor options which was such a lifesaver to have a two in one vendor. She was willing to work with what we had followed what I had on Pinterest and really made our day is special and as beautiful as we could’ve hoped it would be. Susan was also very patient with us as we put our wedding on hold briefly to find out if we were going to have it or not during this pandemic. Her entire staff was flexible and was constantly working with us. I can’t say enough good things about Susan and her company. Thank you again so much for a wonderful wedding!!
