Susan was also very patient with us as we put our wedding on hold briefly to find out if we were going to have it or not during this pandemic. nning and food tastings. I love how customizable and creative we could get. The Catering was the most important thing for us at our wedding and they blew it out of the park. They did not forget any detail which was very important to me. Her team even had horderves and cocktails waiting for us after the ceremony & they also had our food plated (we had a buffet style) for us at dinner which made it incredibly easy to eat before we mingled with the guests. Hands down one of our best decisions of our wedding day! I could go on and on but truly thank you for everything!!

She also emailed a finalized list of everything we needed down to the number of liquor bottles for the reception to who was pinning up my dress after the ceremony; little things that you don't think of until it's too late! There was not one detail that went unnoticed or addressed before the big day. Her team was wonderful and very helpful throughout the entire night and did whatever they could to make our day seamless. My wedding would have seriously been a nightmare without Catering By Robert (Susan ;) She's worth every penny and I highly recommend her!!

We did not have any hiccups in our day, Susan and her staff were amazing, super friendly and very helpful! Her prices are very affordable and she is worth every penny, and more. And the best part is, you don't have to supply decorations or hire a decorator, she has them for you already and delivers them the day-of so you don't end up with useless wedding decor afterwards! It was the best choice I made to have a caterer who was also our decorator and day of coordinator. She also supplied the bartender to serve our guests the liquor we provided at a very affordable price, even supplied mixers and champagne glasses!! Not to mention our guests were raving about the food during and even after our wedding. I couldn't have asked for anything better. You and your staff are amazing Susan, thank you all so much!

She provided layout help, alcohol estimates help and vendor help. She stood in as our day of coordinator and made sure everything was perfect. She gave us VALUABLE advice and is not afraid to make suggestions when needed (even with us hard headed engagies). She coordinated with our florist (who she knew) and had a table sample night where we could make adjustments as needed. She is a staple in the industry and highly respected. Everyone loved the food... we thought the prices were extremly fair. Considering the service she provides... this is a no brainer. She even showed up to our rehearsal and set us up for success. Id also like to add that I am not easy to please... she did all of this with grace. Bravo!!! Catering by Roberts make dream weddings come true in all budgets.

Including serving us our food because we were stuck talking with guests. The meetings- We enjoyed the food tastings we were able to attend in the short planning process for our wedding. It was a great way to try different things from their menu. The meetings we had with Susan were always productive and the last planning meeting was amazing. The day of the wedding was based on that meeting. Susan know what she is doing for sure. Setup- We literally dropped everything off in the morning and everything was done when we arrived to do first look. They even moved our ceremony chairs (rented) to our reception tables for us and moved flowers as well. They provided all of our table coverings and parts of the centerpieces and it was perfect. The Food- It was delicious and everyone was raving about the paella. Including us. It was so nice to be able to have the extra food to take home. We had a lot of family still in town and it came in handy. They cut and served our cake as well. The Bar- There was never a line and everyone was happy with the service. Very friendly and professional bartenders. Vendor coordination- Susan gave us amazing recommendations on a bakery for our cakes and videography and DJ. We could not have been happier. Everyone was were they needed to be and setup with no problem. Breakdown- They broke down all the tables and chairs and collected all of our stuff so it was very easy for my family to gather to leave. They also have worked with our venue before and knew what they needed to do to ensure we got our deposit back. I will literally hire them for any event in the future when I need catering. Not just based on food, but for the relationship we built with her and her team. We are so glad we used them for our catering. They are more than a caterer. I had no idea what I wanted nor how to plan a wedding and she helped tremendously. The value of what we paid to what was included was huge. rk together remotely. I live in Ohio and they are based in Florida. The communication via email was prompt and very detailed. I changed my idea on table design at least 10 times. I was blown away at how perfect our table setting came out without actually seeing it in person; the colors, center pieces and fun addition of candy was perfect and beautiful. The day of wedding, a rain storm came through 30 minutes before the ceremony and we lost power. I remember looking out the window and seeing all the caterers removing the table clothes/plates. Susan stayed positive and kept reiterating that the rain storm would be gone soon and everything would be fine. Low and behold it was; within 30 minutes after the rain, we had a beautiful reception set up.. Power went back on; we served dinner a little late to improvise. Thank you Susan for helping me stay calm during the storm. Additionally, the food was delicious. We got many compliments from our guests; specifically the southwest pasta was a hit!! I'd also like to mention Caitlin. She was the lead. She was attentive, professional, and informative. Always had a smile on her face. She introduced herself after our ceremony and made herself available at all times! The day was hectic, we forgot to cut our cake. Caitlin went out of her way to find us and suggested we should cut the cake. I'm so glad she did this because it was such a special moment! Thanks Caitlin! Overall, id highly recommend this business to anyone. By the end of the day, I gained so much respect for this company by how they handled all of our unexpected circumstances; rain storm and power outage..Through all the obstacles they managed to still give us our perfect wedding!

In the midst of planning we decided that our original venue would not work, so Susan searched high and low to find a new venue that met our expectations and visions. We are from out of state so she even visited venues and facetimed me for a walk through. We never did a food tasting, and I was nervous but our guests raved about the food. The day of our event Susan and her staff were there to ensure that everything ran smoothly. She knew my vision like no one else because we spent countless hours planning and she ensured that the entire day went off with out a hitch. All of their services are included in their quote which was incredibly helpful for us to stay within budget. They were so easy to communicate with and schedule meetings on our very limited visits to Florida. Our families come from two different cultures and Robert BLEW IT OUT OF THE WATER with the cuisine and meal options. They created a variety of flavors and foods that matched our guests perfectly. They even worked around any of our guests dietary restrictions with ease and made sure everyone was taken care of. The day of staff was beyond anything we could have ever expected. A huge advantage of working with Susan and her team is that they have been in this area doing weddings for a long time and as such have many wonderful recommendations for any sort of vendor you may need. They also take care of everything from the bar to the table and chair rentals in addition to making the food for the reception, all without making sacrifices to overall quality. Something we particularly appreciated was how responsive Susan was via email - any question or concern we had was answered within less than half a day. On the day of our wedding, we couldn't have asked for more! Everything was set-up beautifully, the staff was wonderful, and at the end of the night, all of our decor and other odds and ends were nicely packed away and set aside.

She gave me advice on things like how much alcohol I needed, and provided recommendations for vendors like the DJ, florist, and transportation, which all turned out great. This certainly alleviated the stress on my end, the groom, as we didn’t hire a planner or even a coordinator for our event. Turns out we didn’t need to! Most importantly, despite having a busy schedule, Susan would always make herself available via text and email, and always responded promptly to any questions we had. There’s no substitute to having someone you can reliably communicate with. I wholeheartedly recommend Catering by Robert!

a New Orleans stayed wedding. I was immediately attracted to the vendor and upon tasting the Jambalaya in the huge paella pan I was pretty much sold. My Husband and I met up with Susan shortly after and went over all of the offerings. CBR provided in house decorations, linen, china, glassware and even bar services. Not to mention the client tastings that was held every other month. I think we will definitely miss those the most. What we loved MOST about CBR was working with Susan was a breeze and the communication was always on point. We definitely also loved the fact that we didn't have to add as many vendors with the decor items, linens, napkins, china and bar services. Typically these can be separate and costly. CBR does have a few menu options however they always stood up for the challenge of anything we wanted. Food was really important to us for our wedding as most of our friends and family knows us for cooking but we certainly couldn't cater our own wedding. Our wedding was held on 2/18 and we still have guests calling or telling us that the food was superb and definitely not wedding food. One of Must haves was finishing the night with beignets to complete the New orleans style wedding and Susan and her staff delivered. The Jambalaya with crayfish was a hit, the whipped mashed potatoes was a hit, the crab cakes and pickles was amazzzinng and the beignets was the icing on the cake! We could not have asked for anything more in a wedding caterer. We really enjoyed working with Susan and the staff and I recommend them to all of my friends constantly. They were professional and shared a ton of expertise in the wedding/catering industry.

She was constantly checking on us and at the end of the night, I forgot I had numbered sparklers with our wedding date and almost left without getting a picture with them, but she brought them out to us. She also had plates of food put together for us for later that night as we barely ate at the wedding.

This was better service than the Don Cesar where my sister had her wedding. Catering by Robert is the way to go!

e read all of these great reviews so signed the contract a year in advance. BEWARE!! Do not use this company for coordination/ decor, it was a disaster to say the least. Susan pressured us into signing a contract because they only do one wedding per day and it was busy season on the day we chose. Well she didn't even show up on my wedding day...she sent her assistances that I've never met and they were sweet however very clueless. I had met with Susan numerous times discussing the day of and planning a schedule. The ladies she sent had no clue what to do!!!! People were arriving and no one was there to direct them to there seats. The items they used for decor were old/used and broken ( the lanterns used down the isle). She reuses the candle holders and places a new candle on top of the old one!!!! Thank god I had an amazing florist to trust and make sure that didn't happen! I hated the loose chair covers and wanted the spandex fitted ones and guess what...the loose ones were on the chairs. She has yet to send me a message or follow up after the wedding. She lied about doing our centerpieces the correct way. Said it was impossible to sink roses in the vases. Come to find out..she told our florist It would be too much work. This company only cares about being paid and I feel like I've been scammed. After months of debating if I should leave a review I decided I should warn others.

me across Cateringbyrobert I was thinking of using them for my wedding food bc the reviews were OUTSTANDING!!!! Then after talking with Susan she told me about the "treasure Chest package"! This package should be called the anti bridezilla package lol! This package included everything for the big day!!! You can use the entire package or pick and choose the vendors that you want to use! I used all Susan's vendors and I was happy with each and everyone one of them! These vendors are people Susan has worked with in the past and they have a relationship which really takes a lot of stress off the bride. When it was time for a payment or planning something in detail Susan would handle it! If there was multiple deadlines she would email me and say maybe plan on coming into town for a meeting and she would get as many vendors together during our meeting and knock everything out!! I'm a planner and a type A personality! Susan made my life so easy bc she is so good at what she does!! Trusting her to handle my big day was the best decision I could have made!! I couldn't have been happier with the outcome of everything!! Future brides please take my review to heart! She makes you feel like you are the only bride bc she responds to emails so fast and communication is key in planning!!! The price is right and the food is out of this world! Catering By Robert was a great value for the incredible food provided. All of our wedding guests raved about how delicious the food was, many even mentioned it was the best wedding food they had ever eaten. They coordinated all rentals (tables, chairs, linens, etc.) which made planning very easy. Susan and Vicki were extremely responsive and helpful throughout all of the planning and the day of the wedding. All of our emails were returned within hours or even minutes. They were helpful in guiding us through all selections from food to chairs and linens. The tasting was wonderful and we felt like valued customers throughout the process. The staff went above and beyond to make sure all guests were happy during the event. Special attention was paid to make sure the groom and myself had plenty of food and wine throughout the night as well. We highly recommend using Catering By Robert for your wedding.... trust me you won't regret it!

Included in the food price was the many of the table linens and decorations so this was an excellent value; CBR is definitely more all-inclusive than any of the other caterers that we researched. We also saved money because CBR allowed us to provide our own alcohol for the bar service. We met with Susan in her studio on several occasions leading up to our wedding day so that we could figure out the table design, venue layout, timeline, and almost every other detail of our reception. Susan was always very responsive to emails and phone calls whenever we had a question; she even referred us to a few of our other terrific vendors. My husband and I didn't live in Tampa during most of our engagement so we were unable to attend the CBR open houses, but my parents attended several of these events where they enjoyed sampling food and gathering design ideas. On the night of our reception, everything was perfect! The venue and table decorations were beautiful, the service was top-notch, and all of our guests commented on how much they loved the food! We even had a ton of food left-over that they boxed up and sent home with us. CBR truly provided us with peace of mind throughout the entire planning process! We definitely recommend CBR to anyone who is looking for a wonderful wedding caterer!

They really do go above and beyond to make sure your event is a huge success! My sweetheart table and cake table were so BEAUTIFUL! When I walked into my venue and saw how everything looked, it literally took my breath away and made me cry because it was SO amazing! The staff was also SO helpful, they got us drinks when we needed them, they brought my husband and I plates from the buffet so we didn't need to get up! We were treated like royalty! Our friends and family could not stop raving about all the delicious food! I has so many different people approach me during the wedding just to tell me that the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding! That made me so happy, because food is a very important part of your wedding day! The seafood paella is the BEST dish, and it is HUGE! It was so fun everyone was amazed by it! My husband and I are very blessed to have found Catering by Robert. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and they were a huge part in making that a success. She always had great recommendations for every kind of vendor, and I knew I could trust anybody she recommended. She was also very responsive. Every question I had was followed by an almost immediate response. They had frequent tastings where their clients could come and taste all the great food they had to offer. This was extremely helpful when it came time to pick our menu. Susan also coordinated a time for me to come in and see a guest table exactly how it would be set up at my wedding. The extra time that the company puts in makes a huge difference and makes the planning experience very enjoyable. The day of my wedding, I was at ease knowing that Catering by Robert and Susan were coordinating all the set up. I knew everything would be beautiful! All the staff was extremely professional and friendly. They even had appetizers and drinks ready for the wedding party when we arrived at the reception. Afterwards, the staff saved all the extra food from the buffet, and my family could not have been happier that they had more of the delicious paella! I would absolutely recommend Catering by Robert to anybody planning a wedding!

The more I met with other vendors, the more I really learned that not all companies are created equal, and I grew to appreciate her talent, years of experience, and assistance even more. She truly felt like a partner during the process and you can tell she enjoys helping couples with their special day. We didnt feel like just another bride and groom with Catering by Robert, and the attention to detail and prompt communication we received made us feel so at ease. I wasnt entirely certain what I was looking for in a caterer, other than affordable, not bland hotel food, and reasonably priced. With Catering by Robert, we got that and so much more. From helping us select our table designs to discussing menu options, they do it all. Susan worked with us in a non pushy way and really made us feel like she was there to help our vision become a reality and ensure our wedding was everything we hoped for. Her years of expertise and knowledge were so beneficial when werent certain how to proceed with various aspects of the wedding. The food at our wedding was great and we had tons of leftovers (having enough food was very important and they delivered!), The service we received before the wedding and during was phenomenal, and many guests commented on how nice the servers were. I was really pleased with the number of additional wait staff Catering by Robert offered, and having a day of coordinator at the reception hall was so wonderful. Right off the bat, Susan was the most responsive and helpful vendor that we reached out to. As you begin planning, you will find that MOST vendors take 2-3 days to respond to inquiries (which can be extremely frustrating). Susan would always respond almost immediately. Even if she didn't have an immediate answer, she would send a note just so I knew that she had received my message and would have an answer to me soon! She was also very helpful in our venue search and little tips of the trade as we were digging through the challenges of planning a destination wedding (we live in Atlanta). As the wedding drew nearer, she walked the venue with us and helped think of key details that we may have forgotten or hadn't thought of yet. To say they are a full-service catering company is an understatement!! The venue we booked had a "built in planner" that was a nightmare to work with, so I put Susan in charge of everything with the reception: Table placements, paying other vendors, general coordination of the evening, etc. Because we had met and talked numerous times, I knew that we were in good hands with Susan. Not only was the food INCREDIBLE (guests were RAVING over the paella!), but the decor was perfect. Catering by Robert provided centerpieces, table linens, dishes etc. and Susan knew exactly what my vision was for our decor, and executed it perfectly. The entire evening went off without a hitch, and it was more perfect than I ever imagined, thanks to Catering by Robert!

I knew I wanted to have input on the decor, styling, theme & overall look of my wedding, but I still wanted expert guidance. I knew I wanted something beautiful & elegant, but also fun & relaxed. And I knew I needed to stay within a reasonable budget. My wedding ceremony was on the beach, with the reception held in a private home, which I thought meant that I was going to have to take care of every single little detail myself: linens, tables & chairs, silver & glassware, centerpieces, flowers, dishes, tables, bar & bartender, waiters, all the food, cake... the list was endless & completely overwhelming. When I met Susan, she immediately put me at ease with her charming & laid-back attitude & obvious knowledge & experience. She sent me a questionnaire to get things started, & we talked about my "vision" for my wedding & reception. I wanted to be very involved, & she allowed me to be - but it was clear that she would have been fine completely taking the reins too, if I that was what I wanted. Susan was in contact with me throughout the process & always available for a phone call or a meeting. She has the resources to take care of everything, & if it is something you would rather take care of, she has the knowledge & the contacts to point you in the right direction (& save you money!). We worked together to come up with a menu consisting of food that our guests would LOVE rather than just another "wedding meal" & she had several open houses where we could come & taste all the food which was wonderful. Susan & I worked together to come up with beautiful & unique table settings & centerpieces that were exactly what I was looking for. She had suggestions for things I might want to change (black table cloths instead of white was EXACTLY the right decision!) & gave me ideas I would never have thought of. The day of the wedding her staff was there bright & early getting set up but they were so unobtrusive I didn't even know they were there for hours! When I finally realized & I walked outside, the scene took my breath away - the tables were even more lovely than I had imagined. It was so wonderful to not have to stress about anything - Catering by Robert had every single detail under control. Later that night in the candlelight, the setting was magical. The servers were elegant, the bartenders (serving the "signature drink" that Susan suggested) were fun, & the food... oh my gosh, the food. How often do you hear people RAVING about the food at a wedding? It was truly spectacular. The ribs, the paella, the coconut shrimp... there are no words. And there was so much of it! We had rented the home for the entire week & my family feasted on leftover ribs & paella the entire time we were there! Finally, I want to mention budget. For the level of service they give & the quality & quantity of the food provided, there IS no better value in the area. Catering by Robert made my wedding beautiful, elegant & above all MEMORABLE. We have already decided to do a 5 year vow renewal & can't WAIT to have some more of that paella!

We had to move up our wedding by four months because of relocating and Susan was amazing with helping arrange a secondary wedding date at our venue and coordinating with all the other vendors, as well as keeping me calm and reassuring me that I was still going to have the wedding I originally planned for. When I walked into the reception and ceremony area which Susan and her daughter Christy had decorated, I was amazed it was everything I pictured it was absolutely beautiful! The food was absolutely delicious our guests could not stop talking about their paella and pulled pork sliders. The service from their team was impeccable, someone from the staff would not walk passed my husband or I with out asking if everything was OK and if we needed anything. All of the staff were friendly and hard working. I would definitely recommend using all of Catering by Robert's preferred vendors, they have a long professional history with these vendors and you don't have to worry about contacting them because Susan will keep in contact with them through the whole process. This is the best catering and event company in town hands down you won't be disappointed!

You pay a small fee per person and they cover all the sodas, water, mixers, etc. and the liquor liability insurance. You, as the client, can provide all your own alcohol and they will serve it, as long as your event hall allows it. Another note they informed us about is if you have any leftover unopened alcohol, then you could potentially take it back to the store and get your money back. My husband and I did this and got back $400 dollars. You can spend as much or as little as you want without any up charges. We feel this is really sets Catering by Robert apart from other catering companies along with all the other great things I have mentioned above. My husband and I are very blessed to have found Catering by Robert. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and they were a huge part in making that a success. t sat down with Susan, you could tell she really cares about each event. She really made us feel that we were the only thing on her plate and she made us feel like family. Susan was great in being the practical voice when my husband and I couldn't decide or were going off on a tangent. I never felt that Susan wanted to over charge us for anything. She went over our budget with us and she went above and beyond to help us stay in our budget. She even called all over to find me whiskey barrels and specific sequin tablecloths. One of my favorite things about CBR is that they do an open house every few months. Here they have a different food theme each time (which is great so you can try all their different menus) and they also highlight one wedding tablescape. This was the perfect way to really bring things to life and help us make menu decisions. With CBR we tried probably 5 different full menus, so when it was time to put our menu together we knew which items we had to have. We ended up going with a Cuban theme and for our "live station" we did their mixed seafood & meet paella. The food was a hit!!! I cannot tell you how many compliments I received on the food. They also provided AMAZING hors' deourves for our cocktail hour. They set aside a few platters of each item for us and the wedding party to have before we went in for our entrance (this was extremely thoughtful and much appreciated). Susan was so amazing through the entire process. She made my entire wedding day go smoothly and I felt 100% comfortable knowing she was setting everything up (decor, tables), Robert was cooking AMAZING FOOD, and the whole team was making it all PERFECT (and happen) on the one day of my life where I wasn't in control. Susan also recommended some other awesome vendors we used for our wedding. We were able to save time and money with Catering by Robert. And by choosing vendors they recommended and who have worked together in the past made things a lot easier. As far as Catering by Roberts food, it was delicious. All of our guest can not stop talking about it. This was exactly what we wanted. When your guest talk about your wedding your food is one of the top things they will remember. Susan was so familiar with our wedding venue she was my main contact and source of information for my entire wedding planning. Her money saving tips (i.e. wait to book the photo booth until you can get a Groupon or snagging a great photographer with a daily fee and no copyrights) made all the difference. She definitely makes you feel important and her weekly emails range from an honest reminder of what to work on (and not slack on) to really great suggestions on various wedding planning topics. I started to get anxious about the ceremony and brought in Vicki from Beach Angels. Not only did Susan accept this addition, there were "organizing emails" that worked behind the scenes and made everything from ceremony to cake-cutting seamless! I didn't worry about anything the day of my wedding. Can you put a price on that? I will tell you that we DEFINITELY saved thousands by using a venue that allowed outside vendors/alcohol and using CbyR's bartenders. Our guests were well-lubricated for the evening at an 1/8th of the price I've head from other brides. Also, when you reach out to her suggested vendors... there is often a "Susan discount" that makes things like foliage or uplighting within budget. All of our vendors worked as a team, even when I did pick a random DJ and a local cupcake place as vendors. While talking about my caterer, I realize I haven't even mentioned how GREAT the food was. We went with a Tampa Bay/Island theme menu. Relatives are still talking about the paella and I am still dreaming about our signature appetizer (bbq pork served on Hawaiian roles with a sliced pickle on top). We also had some vegans in the house and she (and Robert) were amenable to making some small adjustments to menu items so they didn't have to starve. Can't say enough...

all is thanks to Catering By Robert. Never have I received so many compliments on the food, anywhere. The food was just what everyone did see/enjoy. Behind the scenes, Susan met with me several months prior and was key to making my dream day come together. She met with my fiancé and I at times best suited for our schedule, in sometimes not great situations. Susan is very knowledgeable in what she does and is very accommodating. We were able to set up a payment arrangement and have everything settled prior to the big day. The staff can make any location work for you. Catering by Robert did set up all of our tables/chairs and decorated them beautifully as well. I call them an "all inclusive" caterer because they took care of pretty much everything. If they didn't do it, they recommended a highly skilled professional that could. I'm very grateful to them for all that they did! No need to look anywhere else for your perfect caterer!

Susan called the bride the following day to assure it would be beautiful – that she personally would take care of it. It was breathtaking – beautiful beyond our imagination. That singular moment defines Susan and the personal care she delivers. At the wedding, the staff was professional, pleasant and very helpful. They were present but not obtrusive. Clearly, it ran smoothly or I would have heard about. At the end of the night, they had packed up our stuff and put it all in one place – leaving the venue tidy. They say things will go wrong but with Susan in the picture, those things are reduced to a minimum.
