CBD events/Catering By Dale is a nightmare for brides & grooms who should be focusing on having fun on their own wedding day! It’s really unfortunate, because I can see that when Dale was there, they had a different, positive reputation. However, Susan is scattered, unresponsive, and combative when you approach her with any issues.

DO NOT use this company! They canceled on me 10 days before my wedding was supposed to take place! They were extremely unresponsive and would not answer any of my questions, I had to email multiple times in order for them to respond. I signed with them late June to cater my wedding, I tried reaching out a month before the wedding she didn't respond for two weeks.. During the weeks leading up to the wedding I asked multiple times about finalizing the menu, and if the menu was going to be able to meety now husbands dietary needs to which she always avoided the question, making it very obvious his dietary needs would be somehow forgotten the day of the wedding. I was also having issues with the rental company they use, they don't tell you ahead of time but they ONLY use a specific rental company. She finally canceled saying it was too short notice to focus on new clients ( We signed our contract in JUNE, not a new client!), it was too short notice to focus on the menu being changed to meet our dietary needs, the rental company wasn't going to work out, and she wasn't familiar with the hall we were having the reception in and they hadn't had a walk through of the space. She never once tried to see the church hall, and the. Never tried to fix the issues just canceled on me. Do not use this company unless you want to be treated the same way!
We had a good overall experience with CBD -- most importantly the food is and cocktails were DELICIOUS and the servers were amazing, so the day of experience was wonderful. We had a very long engagement (4 years) and over time some things got lost in translation such as linen/dish rentals, and response turnaround overall could have been a bit quicker for me. That being said, Covid really did a number on the wedding industry and overall I am very happy with our experience and would book again!
Beyond Horrible! So extremely disappointing. Unprofessional, unresponsive, disorganized and the meals and service were not worth the money at all!!!! Staff was very slow, confused and with no direction. Prices for meals were increased weeks before event and meals were luke warm or cold! Don’t waste your hard earned money and experience the embarrassment for your guests in a lifetime event like this.

Our entire experience with Catering by Dale, from start to finish, was personal, professional and wonderful. They are a team of experienced wedding professionals who go above and beyond just a food and beverage service. In addition to their delicious food and seamless service, Susan also provided wedding coordination services for us leading up to and day-of our wedding. I was so confident with everything that they had planned that I was actually able to show up and enjoy the party as a guest and not be worried about the details. Not only is the team organized and professional but the food is incredible and beautifully plated, matching the quality of a five-star restaurant experience. We had so many of our guests comment on how amazing the food was, as well as the cocktails. I would absolutely recommend Catering by Dale for their great value, professional service and delicious food.

The wedding was spectacular.... made glorious despite the weather.... and the unique corporate events yielded a surprising uptick in orders and phone calls.

We loved the food from Catering by Dale -- there's no question they prepare some of the most delicious dishes. Our event planner, Cher, was superb the day of our wedding. The one draw-back was in the organization and communication leading up to our wedding. Pricing was not clear and it took a while to get our questions answered. Don't be afraid to ask questions - they're happy to help when something doesn't look right on your estimates.
Cher was our wedding planner and event hostess. She had everything running smoothly, every detail perfect. Everyone felt relaxed and could enjoy the day. The staff was professional and friendly, The food was phenomenal. Every tenderloin steak, and there were many, came out perfectly medium rare. The chicken with cognac sauce was also superb. We are so happy with this service and highly recommend them.
We recently worked with Catering by Dale for our June 3 wedding. We had an incredible experience with them - working both with Dale developing the menu and Mary, the event coordinator. We were in communication with them throughout the year in the planning process, and both were respectful and prompt. The food was delicious & reflected our vision exactly. Mary did an amazing job making the day feel like a breeze - our wedding was all that we dreamt of and that day there was not an ounce of stress or uncertainty about what might happen, she took care of it all!
My husband Luc and I got married one year ago on August 1, 2015. Dale and her team provided absolutely amazing support and service for our wedding! Everyone raved (and still does!) about our food, saying it was the best wedding food they ever had. It was a true pleasure working with Dale, Mary Norton and the team. Fantastic food and wonderful service! Cher and Dale worked with us regularly in the months preceding our wedding and were so flexible as we changed our menu several times. We received endless compliments on the food at our wedding! Thank you Cher, Dale and your wonderful team!

I used Catering by Dale for my June 9 wedding in Shelburne Vermont. The food was excellent and she was very creative and flexible. She worked with American Flatbread (we wanted to incorporate the pizza oven) and she baked Cookie Love cookies for us (we provided the dough). Her event coordinator, Cher, was excellent as well. You don't have to worry about anything with her in charge! And, the chef Garrett was fun and obviously was behind the great food. I'd highly recommend hiring them!
Dale did a fantastic job at my wedding. I gave Dale a clear budget and she found ways to serve the food that I wanted within that budget. The food was beautifully presented and was delicious. One thing that really stood out for me was the helpfullness of Dale's staff. They were incredible. Dale's staff includes a wedding coordinator-type person (in this case, Mary) who jelped me stick to my schedule and made sure she was thinking of all of the little details. She helped make the day a perfect one and I am so grateful for that!
Dale was recommended to us by site managers at several sites we considered, not only as a popular caterer for weddings, but as a caterer that the site managers call when they host parties in their personal lives.
Dale is very creative--we gave her an idea of what we like to eat, and she put together a delicious menu for us in minutes. I called her in a panic after having sub-par food at another local wedding, and she promptly organized a tasting and meeting with her head chef, Garret, who showed us around the very clean kitchen and talked about his locally-sourced produce while we sampled his delicious creations.
Cher, Dale's Event Coordinator, went above and beyond to make sure all of the decor was set up exactly how I wanted it. One or two problems arose, and Cher handled them so well, I think the end result was better than my original plans.
Dale & company were a delight to work with. I will absolutely call her again for any future catering needs!
