Cedar Cove Ranch

So, I didn't actually book this place. I'm writing this review because I want people to be aware of what they might be in for if they decide to look at this venue. I've never actually encountered this type of behavior with any vendor before (though I'm sure that it can happen), and normally I don't make a fuss about communication breakdowns like this - however, given that you'd be hinging your entire wedding day on a chosen venue, I think this is definitely one of those critical red flags to be aware of. I hope this provides the venue staff with understanding and room to address this kind of problem so others don't need to go through it. It's highly possible online communications aren't their strength, which works fine for anyone who prefers phone calls - but I am in meetings 90% of my work day and have to rely often on text communication to make things happen and when I am free to talk on the phone, most of these offices are closed to talk. So that's that. Below is the timeline & detail of messages which led me to write this review, you can judge for yourself if it's something that would bother you. If I could have attached images instead, I would have so this is just a breakdown. -------------------------- First day of Messages (the 17th) Message 1: I send my initial inquiry message to the venue Message 2: Venue responds with some basic info about the place Message 3: I asked if specific dates were available Message 4: Venue responds with availability Message 5: I ask to schedule a tour Message 6: Vendor responds with the exact same response as Message 2 Message 7: Vendor sends another message, exactly the same as they did with Message 4 Message 8: I ask for a tour to be scheduled again, trying to ignore the strange message behavior. There is no response. Two days later (19th) Message 9: Venue sends a message to tell me they don't use the Knot as their primary sales software. I decide to not respond at this point as I'm trying to find a place that will be responsive. 3 days later (22nd) Message 10: Venue send me a sales pitch message explaining that booking dates are filling up and that I should schedule a tour. Message 11: The exact same message as in Message 10 again a couple hours later 3 days later again (25th) Message 12: Venue tells me that they just booked 5 weddings in the past week and that I should schedule a tour. Message 13: Exact same message AGAIN as in Message 12, a couple hours later 4 days later (29th) Message 14: Venue sends me yet another sales pitch marketing message. Message 15: I decide to respond and let them know I already booked another venue and that I no longer need any assistance. Message 16: Venue responds with the EXACT SAME MESSAGE as Message 14!!!! I ignore this. 3 days later (2nd) Message 17: Venue asks me how my venue search is going... Message 18: I respond asking if they even read anything I ever wrote them and asked them to stop messaging me.

Breathtaking, luxurious, top notch customer service We fell in love with Cedar Cove Ranch & Resort the moment we stepped onto the property. The views are breathtaking, the Hitching Post Venue is beautiful and spacious, the overnight accommodations are incredibly luxurious and the customer service is top notch. Our wedding was an intimate 70 person affair. Ripple and Arlan made sure we had everything we needed and more. Our guests were thoroughly impressed. We will definitely be repeat customers for future family events and family getaways. Thank you for making our wedding weekend perfect, beyond our wildest dreams. I absolutely CANNOT say enough about Cedar Cove Ranch…. The property is beautiful and everyone involved truly made my dream wedding a reality (even in midst of tornado warnings!). I could write a book about how amazing our experience was, but I’ll try to keep it as short and sweet as possible. We stayed in both of the cabins on the property for 5 nights with our wedding party and parents. Their property manager, Josh, was super nice and readily available for any activities we wanted to do and any needs, questions, or concerns we had. Their event planners, Vanessa and Paul, were absolutely incredible! We took most of the afternoon on Friday before rehearsal talking about plans A, B, and C for rain moving in. They took care of all the setup for the rehearsal dinner at the Hitching Post and then the day of the wedding met all of the vendors and organized the entire setup of the ceremony and reception. Unfortunately, it stormed ALL day with not one but TWO tornado warnings!! With that being said, they (along with my florist and caterer) created the most beautiful ceremony and reception site- it really was more beautiful that I could have ever imagined! It was truly a rustic fairytale wedding and I absolutely cannot thank them enough! I would HIGHLY recommend Cedar Cove Ranch to anyone looking for a beautiful rustic wedding venue with people who care just as much as you do in making your wedding a dream come true.

Everything was very nice! They were so kind to let us have the day before the wedding to set up since the wedding the next day was early. We decorated the barn to where when the guests walked in they were amazed. Everyone commented on it as a "beautiful, fun wedding". The deck was a perfect place for the ceremony with it's beautiful view and the barn for the reception was perfect also for the 70 guests we had and the necessary food/card & gift/sign in tables. We even had room for a good size dance floor for guests enjoyment and the bride and grooms 1st dances. We rented the smaller lodge for some overnight guests and then used the upstairs for the bridal suite. Ripple and Erica were great to work with. We purchased a few hours of help from Nate and that worked out well. The bride and groom loved all of it and that's what it's all about! Thank you to the Cedar Cove Ranch crew!
