Being able to host our ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour on the same property while also having them in distinct spaces and having lodging on site for guests was perfect. There was only one small problem we experienced with the venue while booking our newlywed suite, and Cedar Creek went above and beyond to make things right when we brought it to their attention. Special shoutout to Skylar, our wedding coordinator, for making everything so easy for us! She took care of so many little things during the wedding that really allowed us to just soak in the moment. Also, Chef Todd is great! He was a pleasure to work with, and you can really tell he has a passion for what he does.

in the hotel felt a bit dated but nothing too bad. The staff were great all around! There was a point where it took a little while to get a hold of somebody with questions but that was a little before the wedding and outside of that everyone was very responsive and helpful with anything we needed! We loved every second of our wedding here and could not think of any better place for it to happen!

The weekend of our wedding they were just as helpful and accommodating as all our correspondences the months leading up and it just made the whole time so easy on us. We decided to do both the ceremony and reception for 130 guests and there was plenty of room in the event barn for both. The sunset on the deck of the barn really made the night special!

nd how perfect it was. It felt like a vacation where all of our friends and family were in the same place and we could celebrate all weekend together. My favorite parts of the venue was the lodging, the continental breakfast for all the guests staying on the property, and the golf course (for the guys to golf the morning of, of course ;) ). The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. If you are looking for a venue, that has it all, Cedar Creek is the one.

conveniencing them when I had questions, and that is so important for a bride. Trust me, I had a lot of questions! Almost every time I had a special request, they accommodated. I had a bridesmaid that needed assistance getting around the property and they reserved a golf cart for her. I also overpaid on my guest count and Lindsey made it right by adding on some additional perks so it was fair. To top it off, they were very relaxed when it came to my guests. We sold out all of the rooms on the property and I know there were guests who got loud after midnight, but Cedar Creek let us have fun! It's always a bummer when a venue has too many rules to where it no longer becomes fun. For safety, they took all golfcarts after the reception and I thought that was actually extremely helpful and made me feel more at ease about guests continuing to drink. My guests cannot stop talking about how it felt like our private western town and now our family is wanting to plan a family reunion at Cedar Creek. The character of the property is unmatched and has tons of photo ops! I want to also recognize Skylar. Without her, the day of would have never went as smooth as it did. She was fantastic in working with my family who was decorating and she helped to make everything look amazing. Before I walked down the aisle I noticed a box full of the guest favors, and in 2 minutes Skylar got the box and put out the favors all before I walked down the aisle. She is a magician and very good at what she does! I am sure there were minor things that didn't go as planned, but I never even noticed because of how beautiful the day was and how much fun everyone was having. I would 100000x recommend this venue to anyone.

It was the only place we toured and we were sold! Leading up to the wedding, Sky, our coordinator, kept in constant communication. She kept us on deadline and answered a million questions. The weekend of our wedding, Sky was an integral part of the success of our day. She was with us every step of the way, leading us through our rehearsal and the day of. Our wedding day was rainy but that didn’t stop the celebrating. Sky assisted the photographer finding dry spots for photos, drove us around on the golf cart and held umbrellas to keep us as dry as we could. One of our favorite parts is that all our guests could stay the weekend and fully enjoy the party! Truly we could not have had a better day, thanks to the team at Cedar Creek! Can’t wait to return for an anniversary trip!

cottage. It was private, serene, and the views were spectacular. Continental breakfast was an added bonus for us-DELICIOUS! Chef Todd went out of his way to assure that every meal was made to perfection. The 9 hole golf course was a big hit for the guys before the wedding festivities. (We've already decided that we will be back for a stay in the summer to take advantage of the other amenities, such as fishing, hiking, swimming, etc). The staff was beyond helpful in every aspect. Whatever we needed, they were right there to help with. The day of coordinator, Skylar, made sure that the bride's big day went smooth and flawlessly. Bar service always greeted us with a big smile, and delicious drinks. I can't say enough good things about our stay here. It was an amazing day that we will never forget.

t. - Easy to book - Cottages are beautiful and brand new. - Big spaces to stay with groups of 5-20 on the property. Cons: - Communication was difficult. The hotel booking website did not work with our code and it wasn't ever fixed. Once you can get ahold of someone at the front desk it's easier to just book through them. Ellen the manager is fantastic to work with. - Several of our guests had to switch hotel rooms because of wasps coming up through the floor vents. - Be prepared for very little help from your wedding cordinator. Our cordinator left the wedding halfway through and our photographer was much more helpful than the cordinator. We even had to organize our own wedding entrance. There was no coordination help. All in all I would recommend Cedar Creek with some heads up about the cons, if you have patience and over communicate you'll be in good hands.

Spending the night in the manor house with my family and bridesmaids the night before made for the perfect day of our wedding just enjoying each other’s company. Additionally, having our ceremony at the lakeside, cocktail hour at the town hall and saloon, reception at the event barn and after party at the town hall led for maybe different beautiful views and experiences for our guests. It was such a beautiful and unique experience, which is exactly what we wanted. We had guests flying in from 30+ different states, many coming from New York City, and everyone agreed this was the most fun wedding they had ever been to. She kept everything flowing smoothly, helped get our grandparents around everywhere easily, and got myself, my husband, our baby and our photographers down to the perfect sunset photo spot near the lake!!! She was ready to help with literally anything and everything we possibly needed. She even helped me bustle my dress! And the food was awesome! My family is picky with wedding food but Cedar Creek actually had great food for the reception and awesome pizzas for our after party. Everyone at Cedar Creek made it the wedding of my dreams and got so many compliments from family and friends who’d never known about it before. Such an amazing time!!! We plan to go back for our anniversary each year 💕

All of the staff were friendly and welcoming not only to our guests, but also our vendors! Guests continually raved about the uniqueness of the different locations on the property and how gorgeous this venue was overall. We also heard from people all weekend about how delicious the breakfast was along with the food we had at our cocktail hour, reception, and after party. For our rehearsal dinner, we had their barbecue which was excellent and the chef was accommodating to any specific dietary needs/restrictions our guests had. Overall, it was all amazing from start to finish! We are so grateful to Cedar Creek for helping make our wedding day as amazing as it was and it was the perfect venue for our New Year’s Eve wedding! We can’t wait to stay there in the future!

, they opened up the cocktail hour early. Emily gave me her cell phone # and was basically available to answer any question I had the very second I had it. Not to mention, the facility is GORGEOUS. They were super accomodating to all the guests with any type of need being tossed their way. Our wedding went flawlessly, thanks to the support of the entire staff. The food was AMAZING and I cannot believe their chef is not at some Michelin Star restaurant in New York! It was so perfect in every way. I cannot WAIT to be invited as a guest to a wedding there. joy some beautiful scenery. From what we could tell, Cedar Creek is the only place within reasonable driving distance of St. Louis where this was possible and boy, did they deliver! Emily was our planning contact and she was super responsive and accommodating to a variety of our requests from the start. Cedar Creek uses a web-messaging system and Emily would often respond within a business day. If she didn’t know the answer to our question, she would seek it out and get back to us. We were planning the wedding from the East Coast, so having the ability to get details on the venue was crucial. At the time of our wedding, there were two packages available, a more basic one and a more premium one, and payment was per head. The set packages made it easy to think through the details and Cedar Creek worked with us to individualize it (e.g., we requested our favorite local beers and they were able to make sure those were on offer). Another example of their hospitality is their handling of the wedding cake. My parents were driving my favorite cake from Pittsburgh to St. Louis frozen (so it would stay fresh) and Cedar Creek let them drop it off and kept it cold for us for the week leading up to the wedding. The wedding weekend itself was expertly coordinated and the staff could not have been friendlier. We had great weather (early June, low-80s) and our guests had a fantastic time exploring the grounds, using the pool, or popping into Hermann for the early afternoon – we’re still hearing about how much fun folks had 6 months later. The food wasn’t unique, but nonetheless delicious and Chef Todd was really considerate of various food allergies and restrictions. The hotel rooms and the cabin lodging was modern, having been renovated recently, although one downside is some of it is on the pricey side, particularly for the area. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our wedding day – we highly recommend Cedar Creek!

oking for and more. Emily was my contact during the planning process, and I don't think I ever waited more than 24 hours for a response from her. We toured the venue 5 times total, and every time Emily was so patient answering my 20+ questions. We asked to shift the aisle at our ceremony site so our guests would be in complete shade, and with no hesitation Emily said yes and showed us right away the best location. Emily made it feel like I was planning my wedding with a friend and not just a vendor. Day of the wedding we had Tess as our coordinator, holy smokes was she on it. I gave her my schedule and she ran with it, making sure everything and everyone was on time. We even ran ahead of schedule! The men fished all morning while the women were getting ready in the manor house and Tess was somehow in 3 places at once, making sure everyone was happy and where they needed to be. There was a small miscommunication about who was walking me down the aisle, and Tess came straigh to me and we fixed it in 5 seconds. My entire day went off without a hitch, it really was my dream wedding. My guests are still talking about it 7 months later. Chef Todd is a genius with food, you don't have "typical" wedding food. When it came to choosing a wedding package, it was really easy. We added things on here and there, and it was never a hassle. The prices for everything weren't too expensive. You get your moneys worth at Cedar Creek. Our guests were able to enjoy fishing, hiking, and golf during their stay. The accomodations were top notch, whether our guests chose a cottage, hotel room or cabin, everyone was happy with their choice. Our wedding party stayed in the manor house the night of the wedding and it was perfect. Plenty of room, and we all had a great time. Looking back, there is nothing I would change about my venue and my wedding. The team at Cedar Creek really is the best and my husband and I have already booked our stay for our anniversary weekend next year!

the details! This venue has it ALL. Hotel and lodging on the site for family and out of town guests to stay, and places big enough for the bridal party to stay the night before. They will block all the rooms on the property for your wedding once you book (automatic hotel block; one less thing in the to do list, score!) We had the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on property site as well which was incredible; they were so accommodating to us. The venue & wedding coordinators completely ran my rehearsal and released each person in the processional at the right time day of! They set up all of my ceremony decorations, provided the chairs for the outdoor ceremony, etc. They had SO MANY decorations and signs I could use that I barely had to buy anything out of pocket which was a huge savings and a headache saver! I got to go in the day before the wedding at noon to decorate which was incredible as well (depends if there is a wedding the day before you). The wedding coordinator greeted all my vendors and took that load off of me. Reception was great between location in the barn, open bar provided by venue, food provided venue, etc. They provided all the table ware, flatware, table cloths, etc and cleaned them up after the reception was over (little to no clean up on my end). They offer a place for an after party after send off too which my family ate up! Stephanie and Emily were incredible and went above and beyond to meet all my needs. Stephanie even took me on a golf cart to hide me behind the doors for the ceremony so the crowd wouldn’t see me. We had access to golf carts as well to drive bridal party and us (the couple) around the venue for beautiful pictures. You won’t run shy on beautiful places for picture backgrounds! Not only is the venue a perfect site for rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and lodging but can be a get away for out of town guests. They have swimming, golf, tennis, etc. Can even use it as a little “bach trip” a few days before the wedding. 1000/10 recommend. All my guests complemented the venue and staff, and said it was the best wedding they ever been to. I am 23 years old, planned the entire wedding by myself which means I was bound to mess up but they helped me so much and the day was MORE than perfect. In booking their venue they also provided a complimentary room for me and my husband night of to go back to which was great. That also included breakfast where we got to meet the sweet owners of the venue. Long review because what they advertise can’t even compare to what they actually provide! LOVE LOVE LOVE

If she didn't know the answer, though it may have taken a couple calls to get through. She was reassuring with everything and was able to give us the most for our money, adding on items for the cocktail hour and the dinner. Our day-of coordinator, Ellen, was an angel. She helped take so much stress of me and my family on our wedding day - keeping us on track without rushing anyone. After all, "we are the bride and groom and they couldn't do much without us anyways" as she put it. I had to set up initial meetings for our outside vendors like lighting, DJ and Bakers but Ellen and Cedar Creek handled everything day-of, which was wonderful. If there were any hiccups, I never heard anything! Cedar Creek Venue itself was perfect for my family and my desired vintage/modern aesthetic. It was wonderful having everything in one place, knowing everyone could simply walk across the street instead of needing to drive somewhere. I would recommend for everyone to bring some extra blankets or sheets as they seemed to be sparse throughout the campus. We lucked out with the weather and had a sunny and 55 degree fall day, however it was nice to know there were back-up plans set in place to ensure our day would be beautiful if we couldn't have it outside. Though this place is not as up-to-date as other venues, does not have the highest of technologies or the fanciest of table settings - it was beautiful and felt like a true destination wedding away from the hustle and bustle of daily life - which is exactly what we wanted. The patio deck on the back of the Barn was a wonderful place for everyone to step away from the heat of dance floor. The food and drink was wonderful! I was a little hesitant with in-house catering at first, however the food is incredible. We received so many compliments on how delicious everything was, from the veggies to potatoes to the chicken spiedini (a must have from Chef Tod). I do wish there was someone there to remind us during the reception to do the little things, like the complimentary champgne that we never received or to cut our wedding cake. We had a dessert table and an open bar which seemed to have taken over these to things, however it would have been nice to have a coordinator or someone working to be on top of the little things - make sure your mom or MOH have a list of must have little things to do, specifically during the reception while you're walking around and greeting everyone, or dancing the night away. Everyone we worked with from start to finish was genuine and kind and understanding that it was OUR day and no one else's and made it their mission that we got everything we could imagine. The views are incredible (especially in the fall with the changing leaves) and our guests had a wonderful time knowing everything and everyone was so close. I cannot recommend this venue enough.

And Chef Todd's late night meal to keep everyone full throughout the evening was nothing short of amazing as well. My wife and I continue to go back to Cedar Creek with friends and family to enjoy their amazing food, service, and property. Emily helped us plan every detail to make sure it would be executed well. Everyone was so accommodating and made sure our experience was a great one. I will look back at this place and this day with the fondest memories. 10/10 recommend!

The wedding side of things is handled by a company out of St.Louis and no one seemed to be on the same page or know who was in charge of things. If there was a question or concern they were often pawned off on others and we had to contact numerous people before finally getting an answer. PROS: -Venue is BEAUTIFUL. -They gave a same year wedding discount that helped us to afford it. -You could come out and do as many tours with family as you want. -You can take engagement photos at the venue for no additional charge. -Anna was our coordinator for lodging and she did her very best to help accommodate us and even was able to get lower rates on the rooms. (The pricing is extremely high for what there is.) -Everything went off without a hitch day of. CONS: -Communication was less than stellar. It was very difficult to get any response on honeybook, email, or text. -Pricing was very high because you are required to use their caterer now and have an open bar which put the cost at a minimum of $85 per person and $20 for kids. -The staff was rude when asked about adjusting the chairs for the ceremony and one of them was even complaining about it to an outside person who happened to work with the best man. -Though we were told that any leftover Kraken rum from the ceremony would be free at the after party for the Bride/Groom and parents, this was not communicated to the after party staff and we were not able to drink it there. (Though they did send the bottles with us at the end of the night.) -There was supposed to be staff helping to park and direct guests but instead the guests were very confused and did not know where to go to get to the ceremony. -The guests were supposed to be able to get food at the Town Hall restaurant after the ceremony, but without communicating to the bride/groom or anyone for that matter, the Town Hall was not open for food, only drinks. -During our pre-wedding meeting, we chose the linen color for the tables and requested ivory which was currently on the tables and my fiance and I had both said Ivory and instead we got white. When that was mentioned, we were met with attitude and told there was nothing that could be done and no attempt was made to make up for the mistake. Again, overall the day was amazing and beautiful! Anna and Ellen were WONDERFUL to work with!
