Celebration Golf Club

We had a small wedding (around 50 people) and I booked from another state, without having ever been there in person. John Bixler and Carol Daniels were amazing. When my wedding planner created an unrealistic floor plan based on size of the room, he stepped in and created one with two options, measuring the space himself to make sure the tables could be the way I wanted! They were professional, helpful, flexible (like when we decided to bring in a baby grand piano for the ceremony). The food was awesome, the staff was great, and the location is beautiful. Highly recommend this location, so glad we chose it!!! Also, so many vendors praised my decision for selecting Celebration Golf Club, I am surprised there aren't more reviews. Thank you Celebration staff, it was really perfect.

THANK YOU SO MUCH Celebration Golf for an unforgettable wedding night. John Bixler (GM) and his team did a phenomenal job! The food was a amazing, thank you Chef! We heard nothing from our guests but appreciation and good things about the place, the workers, and the FOOD! The value definite is worth every penny. Everything went well and I couldn't ask for more. I would definitely recommend and use their services again!

Our experience was wonderful. The food was excellent, complements to the chef he did a great job. The venue works great for smaller weddings, we also had an Event Planner to help out with all the little extras that we wanted. John the GM was easy to work with and responded quickly to all of my questions or concerns.

Very pretty location, having both the ceremony and reception in one location was very convenient. Cassie Franks and John were great. Food is delicious.

Please heed this warning and do not even think about Celebration Golf. They are grossly understaffed and so unprofessional. Here is a list of some things that went wrong at our wedding. -There was no power to the gazebo for officiant's mic or musician, even though a long, bright yellow extension cord was lying on the side (which is seen in most of my ceremony pictures!) -My guests had to help clean off seats before wedding due to a slight rain shower. -Cocktail hour was NOT where it was supposed to be. All paperwork I have mentions the breezeway and the greens behind the pro shop. NO WHERE does it EVER mention the “tournament green” -AND my guests had to again step over a yellow power cord (which was not taped down or any sort of mat covering it) to get to the cocktail hour because some kind of buffet table was still set up from something earlier. One of my guests could have easily tripped! Unacceptable -There were not 2 bartenders all the time as I vehemently requested. -The hors d'oeuvres were 20 minutes late and only came out AFTER I asked where they were. When they did come out, the servers were wearing blue Celebration Golf shirts, one guy had on a baseball hat. CLEARLY in your documents, in BOLD print it says, “Weddings are staffed with our professional servers, chefs and bartenders. All staff will be appropriately dressed in black banquet shirts and black pants.” One poor kid kept apologizing and said he didn’t know there was a wedding until he got in that day and normally he’s a dishwasher. CLEARLY, they were understaffed! -We ordered an extra cheese and extra veggie tray, They came out with no extra napkins no toothpicks, NO CRACKERS OR NO DIP what-so-ever! -Water glasses on tables were empty. -Candles were not lit on tables. -Coffee was not served. -Kids were not offered kid’s meals. -TWICE… TWICE guests came up to me to let me know they were out of food, no plates, no salad dressing, and there was no one else around to tell, NO ONE was monitoring the food. -When we came to pick up everything the next day, I was shocked to see OUR Centerpieces were being used on the tables and the carving station and on the bar instead of everything gathered in one area for us to pick up. The bartender had to take centerpieces off tables, even where people were seated. We met with Catering manager and Food & Beverage manager (which you don't need their names because within the year of our wedding planning, both positions were replaced...a clear sign of problems!!!) and were told 5 people called in sick that day but that doesn't answer why the cocktail hour was in the wrong place and WHY they used MY centerpieces for THEIR Sunday Brunch amoung other things. We got no apologies from upper management, even though we did email them, but we did get somewhat of a refund. But money doesn't erase the memories of a bad wedding experience.

We held our rehearsal, ceremony and reception at Celebration Golf Club. It is a beautiful location with gorgeous views and a really cute and cozy reception area. It doesn't require lots of decoration, which is super nice for a busy bride, but it still looks great! The food was delicious, and the beer and wine selection for the open bar was waaaay more than I expected. The staff during the reception were attentive and helpful. My husband and I never had to refill a glass, and we were surprised to have champagne on our table, which we did not pay/ask for. The staff cleaned up our centerpieces and kept them for us overnight so we could come get them the next day. Really, I can't say enough about how amazing the staff was the day of. There are just two drawbacks that I noticed. One, there is no dedicated area for brides/grooms to get ready. You're in the locker room, which is also the only bathroom. So guests will see you while you're getting ready if they have to go to the bathroom before the ceremony. This didn't bother me at all, but it might bother others. Second, the catering manager, while extremely nice in person, is very difficult to get in touch with over the phone or via e-mail. The best and apparently only way to contact her is to text her and mention your payment. The only time I get the attention I thought I deserved was when we had a problem with our debit card not working to pay our bill. I would literally go weeks without getting an e-mail response, and often, my questions would go unanswered. It's as if she didn't read my entire e-mail. Also, I was told that the venue would sit 155 people, our group of 90 really filled the space up, and I wouldn't recommend much more than that. But, I really do recommend the location, just be prepared to be a little frustrated with the attention you get, or don't get, beforehand.

We recently had our wedding and reception at Celebration Golf Club. I found the actual wedding day to be wonderful! However, planning was a little difficult. The catering manager gives very short, and sometimes snippy answers to questions. I felt like I had to dig to get information. Then the week before our wedding we were told that the person we planned with for the whole year wouldn't actually be at our wedding. I was really nervous about this, but it ended up being great. Pierre was fantastic on the wedding day and the catering team did a wonderful job. Overall we were very pleased with how everything turned out. The food was also very good!

We recently got married here and the area on the lawn reserved for weddings really is lovely. The chairs were laid out for us but we had to ask for the drinks to be moved outside as we had requested. Overall it's a nice place but I didn't find that I had a great deal of help from the person we organised it with and it was frustrating to receive one word or very brief replies to my emails. And considering we only had our cermony here, it was quite expensive for what we actually had, it didn't spoil the day however as everything was as planned in the end and we thouroughly enjoyed it.

We were very happy with the location of our ceremony and reception. The ceremony was outside on the lawn and it was quaint and perfect for what we were looking for. It was secluded so their weren't a lot of random people walking by our ceremony site. We had about 140 people so it was a perfect fit. The area for the reception was very nice, but it was a little cramped. The dance floor was very small and there wasn't a lot of room in between tables. Other than that, we were very happy with the layout of the reception area. The food tasted pretty well for wedding food and the staff was more than helpful and very kind to us.

Great to work with! Great cost! Gorgeous grounds for a wedding, and the food was fabulous.

The location, venue, & scenery at Celebration Golf Club was wonderful. Guests raved about the food as well. However, the wedding coordinator needs to learn better communication skills & organization. We were told that she would be at the wedding until the cake was cut, but she didn't show up until the cake cutting and left right after. We had paid for open bar, only to find out in the middle of our pictures that guests were getting charged for drinks. We had to stop our pictures to go handle the problem. There weren't enough seats at our head table either & they never dismissed any tables to go to the buffet, so my husband had to do it. This could've all been taken care of quickly, but she wasn't there so they had to call her which took time out of our celebration. The staff was clueless about the drinks because she didn't communicate clearly with them. I am disappointed in her because she said a lot of things without following through. The venue is amazing and we had a great time, but they seriously need a new wedding coordinator.
