Celebrations on the River is a riverside wedding venue located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The spacious location is just blocks away from I-90 and overlooks the river. This gorgeous wedding spot is a stunning backdrop for the celebration of your love.
Facilities and Capacity-
Celebrations on the River, has three separate venues built specifically for weddings. Each venue features indoor and outdoor amenities, including outdoor ceremony altars, outdoor patios, full-service bars and catering for your wedding day.
-Center Court is the 1st venue accommodating up to 400 guests. The brand-new venue features unmatched elegance, breathtaking views of the river, gorgeous gardens, an outdoor patio overlooking a riverside wedding altar, topped off with the best bridal suite in Wisconsin. The room spans more than 4,400+ square feet with high rise ceilings, elegant flooring, large indoor and outdoor bars, custom LED lighting, state-of-the-art audio/visual system plus full-service catering.
-River Park the 2nd venue features high-rise ceilings, wood floors, a built-in stage, a private bar, and custom LED lighting that will transform the room into the wedding of your dreams. The room spans more than 3,000 square feet and is able to accommodate more than 275 guests. The attached 3 Seasons Room covers 1,600 square feet with floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase the river and woods. Its vaulted ceilings with wood trim create a cozy ambiance for your wedding reception. The Outdoor Wedding Altar is a beautiful location for your ceremony that is just off the water, surrounded by trees and gardens. It features overhead sunshades and state-of-the-art audio equipment, and can seat up to 275 guests. The property also has an on-site bridal suite and groom’s room, that can be used by the wedding party to get ready in before the ceremony.
-Court Yard is our 3rd venue. Brand-new in 2023, accommodating up to 325 guests, featuring jaw-dropping elegance and a stunning modern design creating the picture-perfect venue for your wedding or event. The interior design is timeless, showcasing black and white colors, paired with a private outdoor courtyard that will blow you and your guests away!

ons. Food was good, bridal suite was amazing but ac wasn't working in the suite and it was 86 degrees outside and trying to get ready was a challenge. Tye ac wasn't able to get it fixed that day but it wasn't there fault. We did the best we could. The service, the decorations, the bartenders, the wedding planner, the DJ, the cupcakes and cake, the appetizers, the late night snack, the groom suite, the atmosphere. It was all perfectly put together. They are amazing people to work with and I highly recommend Celebrations on the River for your wedding venue and ceremony. Its absolutely stunning

eautiful venue… but that’s basically all I got, a venue. After that I had to find everything else: hair stylist, makeup artist, DJ, caterer, cake, cupcakes, decorations, a wedding planner… the list goes on. Planning a wedding this way has been a lot of work and honestly pretty stressful. You see all these TikTok videos that make planning your own wedding look so easy, DIY decorations, budget hacks, and weddings planned for super cheap. It looks great online, but when you actually start planning, you realize how many vendors you need to coordinate and how easy it is to forget things.
Looking back now, I truly wish I had chosen Celebrations On The River. I originally looked at Celebrations On The River because the venue is absolutely beautiful, and even just walking through the space during the tour, you can tell that they have weddings down to a science and truly know how to take care of couples. At first the price made me a little nervous because I thought I could plan my own wedding for less. But once you start adding up vendors, decorations, food, and everything else, you realize it adds up quickly anyway.
One thing I didn’t fully think about when choosing my venue was setup and cleanup. At my current venue, my family and I will actually be setting everything up the morning of my wedding and cleaning up our space that same night. If we want extra time to set up the day before or tear down the next day, it costs extra. It’s definitely something I didn’t realize would add more stress to the day. Knowing that Celebrations On The River takes care of those kinds of details for you honestly sounds like a dream come true for a wedding morning.
What makes Celebrations On The River so amazing is that they handle so much of the planning for you, such as food, decorations, coordination, and making sure the whole day runs smoothly. Having professionals take care of those details so you can actually enjoy your wedding day would be priceless. Don’t get me wrong, I love my venue and how it looks, but the amount of time spent researching vendors, making phone calls, and organizing everything has definitely been overwhelming at times.
If I could go back and choose again, I would 100% go with Celebrations On The River without hesitation. Future brides and grooms will thank themselves for choosing a place that helps make the planning process easier. If you’re debating between planning everything yourself or choosing a venue that helps with it all, trust me, the peace of mind is worth it.

low us to refund the money we paid in, they did allow us to change the date twice. We ended up working with multiple coordinators over the 6 years (we booked the venue in 2019) and the venue had many big changes in that time as well. Everyone was very forthcoming with information as circumstances changed. We finally got married on 10/31/2025.
As our event approached, we did have some issues with floorplans changing and some items adjusting on our contract. My guess is that notes got lost as coordinators changed. These changes were quickly corrected or explained as we started hammering out details for our event.
Kayla was wonderful to work with! She was responsive to email and made sure to double and triple check that details were in order. She went above and beyond by assisting with moving tables and coming up with back up plans when the grandfather of the bride was having issues making it down the aisle. When our DJ failed to show up on time, she helped us queue music on the venues overhead sound system. I do wish there had been more communication regarding our allergen friendly dishes, as we had not set up a system for how those guests were going to receive their plates.
The venue was gorgeous and the staff was friendly. They even had decor items for rent if needed. Overall, we had a very nice experience with Celebrations, even if some things had to be gone over twice due to miscommunication. I would recommend using Celebrations on the River for your next event!

The venue is beautiful on the river with twinkling lights and fire pits at night. The inside decor is customizable and everything turned out just how we wanted it. Celebrations made wedding planning fun and very easy. The hair/makeup, DJ, shuttle bus, and photographer were arranged through their list of trusted partners and we cannot speak highly enough of all of them also. Prices were fair and upfront. Many of our guests have commented how our wedding was the most beautiful they have been to and enjoyed the riverside, playing beanbags, and the indoor/outdoor bar. The outside ceremony space is beautiful and we would not have changed a thing. The bride/groom "getting ready" rooms were set up so well and had everything we needed. Our wedding planning experience was low stress, and even fun, because of everything Kayla and the Celebrations team did for us. We will be recommending Celebrations for anyone that wants an amazing wedding experience.

She was very accommodating and provided excellent insight. My fiancé and I attended a tasting event prior to my wedding, which made everything come together in my mind. We got to try the food, which was delicious, but we also got to see the decorations and possible centerpieces to choose from. I had a winter wedding, but I really wanted to use the beautiful outdoor space for engagement photos before the weather turned frigid. Kayla was kind enough to allow for this. I didn't realize how many little details to into planning a wedding and a reception, but Celebrations made everything so simple. When my reception was over, I didn't have to stay and clear the tables, instead I got to enjoy being with my new husband. . The indoor space is beautiful and offers space large enough to host very large weddings. They have a few different venue options. We chose Center Court which is the largest. With Center Court, we loved that they had a large outdoor space for cocktail hour and also a large bride and groom suite to get ready. All of the food we had was great and we received many compliments from our guests. You cannot go wrong with anything that they have to offer. Kayla, our wedding coordinator, and the rest of the team at Celebrations was great to work with. Kayla made everything go so smooth and worked through any changes we wanted to make. She was awesome! You will not be disappointed with your decision to have Celebrations host your wedding!

The food was good, the drinks were well tended, and the staff was so attentive to my husband and I all night making sure we were happy and had what we needed. Our bridal party was able to have a relaxing day being part of our wedding because we were so relaxed knowing Celebrations had everything managed!

e red stain would look better especially if your color scheme doesn't go with red). Having a venue that's all encompassing (food, dessert, and event timing coordination) took a lot of stress off of the planning and they have a lot of options when it comes to decor, food, and desserts.
But we do have few a critiques. One of the entrees (Shrimp scampi) was served lukewarm. Celebrations changed the chair style that comes with the venue after we signed the contract. The woodsy chairs are now included with the venue, but because we signed our contract when the black plastic chairs were standard we had to pay per chair to get the woodsy ones. It would have been nice to give us the option to choose without paying extra since both were available.
Lastly the food we chose as part of the grooms package had 8 total sliders whereas the bride's package had a full platter of sandwiches. Not sure what happened there but thankfully the guys were able to take the sandwiches the girls weren't going to eat.
When talking with others who chose Celebrations and through our own experience there is a general consensus that the pricing/cost of things (what's included and what isn't) wasn't as clear as it should be given the overall cost of venue. I know they've revamped their process since we signed our contract so hopefully those issues have been resolved. But I cannot stress the importance of asking a lot of questions. If you can't find any reference to your question in the paperwork/contract ask! Don't assume you know what the answer will be and you'll will be fine.
All that being said Kayla Korish, our coordinator at Celebrations was very helpful, responsive to our questions, and remained professional when handling our frustrations. She worked hard to ensure our day went off without a hitch and stepped up during rehearsal when our day of coordinator was late. She also succeeded in getting us a bottle of Jezynowka (polish blackberry brandy) to enjoy during the event, which is a celebratory staple of the bride's family. We would definitely recommend Celebrations (especially River Park) to those looking for an all encompassing venue that sports both indoor and outdoor ceremony locations that has a woodsy vibe.

hem was extremely helpful, especially because we were out of town and it would have been difficult to bring all of the decorations to La Crosse. The day of, was really great, and a lot of fun. Unfourcently after the wedding was over, they did end up charging us for damage that we know we did not do, but because there are no cameras/no way to prove, we do have to pay. As the bride, I am not very happy because I know how the placed looked before I left. Now when I look back on what was supposed to be the best day of my life, I picture the fact that I got blamed for something that I did not do. Which is extremely heartbreaking. We do understand that someone needs to take the blame, but it really sucks that it has to be the bride and the groom. They were a good venue, but the entire damage thing felt like a scam to us. This is just a reminder to all brides out there, to be mindful of the wedding venue that you are looking at, it is easy to take advantage of brides because all they want is the perfect day. Read all of the reviews not just the good ones, regardless of the amount that there is, and do what is best for you. Oh yeah, and take pictures at the end of the night, so you can prove that you didn't break anything.

no need to “inquire for pricing.” The staff was excellent, and our coordinator was particularly wonderful. Not only did she promptly respond to numerous questions via email throughout the entire process, but on the day of the wedding she would pop in from time to time to see if we needed anything. Our guests raved about the food and never had to wait long at the bar for a drink. It was such a stress reliever to not have to coordinate any food or beverage service as they take care of everything in house. We were told numerous times throughout the evening how stunning the indoor and outdoor spaces were, it was definitely a bonus to have access to both. Another detail about Celebrations we thoroughly enjoyed was their decor. We loved their options and loved the fact that they set up and took down everything for us.
We chose to have a winter wedding with beautiful Christmas trees, rustic decor, pine needles/cranberry centerpieces, all provided by Celebrations. It was everything we wanted and more.
Again, we can’t thank Kayla enough for all of her hard work of making our dream wedding come to life.

d Kayla we had no issues. Kayla was excellent throughout the process with answering our questions and requests with honesty. Celebrations was very accommodating throughout the process as well. We gambled with an outdoor ceremony in the middle of November but the Wisconsin weather held off. The entire day of, Kayla and the celebrations team were extremely accommodating and easy to work with. Kayla kept us on track with the timeline throughout the day and evening. She even threw in some jokes along the way. Brandon and the other bartender were absolutely phenomenal. I heard great things from our guests about them. They kept the beer stocked all night long and poured some great drinks. I highly recommend Celebrations on the River to anyone looking for a venue. They have all sorts of different packages with different perks in each. Being in school and planning a wedding is extremely stressful but with the packages they offer, the planning process was streamlined and made super easy. r packages which were quite ideal because you’ll end up spending that amount anyway and it created options right away to help us choose. They had already put in so much legwork for us. The packages include an array of things but my favorite was the decor. We didn’t have to buy decor and then spend time trying to sell it after, so we essentially weren’t out any money. Sometimes the options in decor were limited but they do a lot to try and help make it work. They also do all of the setup and take down. To top it off, you get a wedding planner. I have a very stressful job and the last thing I wanted to do was be stressed about our wedding. Allie was INCREDIBLE and so easy to work with. She was professional and personable. Allie helped us navigate decisions and the day so swiftly. If you’re looking to have family actually enjoy their time together rather than worrying about set up and take down, this is the place to get married. We felt like we got to be so present in the day and we actually remember the day itself. So many people say it goes by fast and to try and soak it all in. With Celebrations on the River and Allie, we truly got to soak it all in.

as great! Decor was exactly how I imagined it! It was extremely nice to have everything set up and torn down without having to lift a finger. Kayla was also super accommodating to whatever came up in my husband and I's schedule. The reason I didn't give 5 stars overall was due to the bar service... The indoor bar was EXTREMELY SLOW. We had roughly 330 people at our wedding, and the average wait time for a guest to get a drink was 15-30 minutes... They ran out of Coors Light bottles, and Busch Light bottles. We even warned Kayla prior to the wedding that there would need to be good bar service for our friends and family, especially Coors & Busch, I mean we are in Wisconsin for goodness sake. There were only two bartenders for the huge bar, and they were extremely rude and unapologetic, especially the male bartender. In my opinion, if you are going to wait over 15 minutes for a drink that's overpriced, the bartenders should at least make the experience better, or smooth it over. Following our wedding, the bar is the only thing our guests complained to us about.. Honestly rate the bar 1 out of 5 stars, and that's being kind... Super unfortunate experience considering everything else throughout the wedding planning and experience at Celebrations was good.

They kept our venue price the same and let us view it after construction. It was beautiful and convenient being right by the venue with more chairs than the original ceremony space. The planning process with celebrations makes for a lot less stress for brides. You can choose a VIP package with everything included or for a small guest count like we had- an a la cart option. We met with a coordinator to go through all the details about 5 times during the planning process and they were very responsive to emails with adjustments or questions. We got so many compliments from guests on the beautiful wedding venue and the convenience of it being all in one. Our parents also noticed how attentive our coordinator Allie was during the rehearsal and day of the wedding. A HUGE help!! Couldn’t recommend Celebrations on the River enough!!

ly we were working with Ann but about 3 months out we found out she had left, I was a bit worried but Kayla was absolutely AMAZING. The day of the wedding went so smoothly and nothing went wrong, we got soooo many compliments on the food/dessert, the venue, the decor, the drinks and bartender. If I had to go back and redo the entire day I would choose celebrations again. I seriously cannot recommend them enough! Thanks for making our special day perfect in every way possible!

We originally had worked with Sarah up until about two months before our wedding. We had been waiting weeks on a few questions to be answered by her until we finally were told she left Celebrations. We then worked with Kayla for the remaining time and was very impressed with the timely responses and helpfulness. Overall, it was an amazing day at an amazing venue with an amazing coordinator. If we could go back in time and plan the wedding all over again, we would still choose Celebrations.
