Century Room on the Park is a full service wedding venue located above Pack’s Tavern in the heart of Asheville, NC. Century Room on the Park is a spacious, turn-of-the-century ballroom that can accommodate 100-120 for a full ceremony and reception and up to 140 for a reception only. This hall features architectural details such as high ceilings, exposed trusses, and original brick walls that take guests back in time to a bygone era. Bistro lights are strung between the wood beams and create a dreamy and romantic ambiance as they twinkle above the festivities. The dining room also comes with a long built in bar to serve drinks to your loved ones throughout the night. In addition, a private get-ready suite will be at your and your wedding party’s disposal for all your day-of preparation needs.
While you celebrate your momentous occasion, you and your guests will be treated to Century Room on the Park’s impeccable service. Dining is provided by the venue’s culinary team and can consist of hors d’oeuvres, plated, buffet, family style, and live action station meals. The venue serves hearty and beautifully-plated American-style food paired with a full bar of local craft beers, wine, and cocktails. For your convenience during the main event, the ballroom is equipped with an HD projector, an 120-inch screen, and an audio system.

Hi! My name is Cassidy and I am the Special Events Director here at Century Room on the Park.
I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and have wanted to work in weddings since I was a little girl! My main inspiration came from David Tutera and his show, "My Fair Wedding". I graduated from college with a degree in hospitality and I also have several certifications in event planning and event management with a specialization in large events.
When I am not working hard to make wedding dreams come true I am spending my time reading, playing the piano, and loving on my two girl cats Khloe & Kyra!

I cannot say enough about Packs(The Century Room), downtown Asheville. We had our son’s welcome party event there to kick off the Wedding weekend! The food was delicious, the ambience was awesome!! The room is not only beautiful but it is spacious. We hosted 140 people , buffet style.
The staff was so attentive to everyone and everything.

Mia were amazing! We planned this event long distance. One meeting in person and the rest was email and phone calls. It was seamless. Shoutout to the two of them!!

OUTSTANDING! My son's wedding and reception was at the Century Room and it was fantastic! Cassidy and Mia were great to work with!! The service staff during the event were excellent. And of course, the food was awesome!!! Our friends and family had an great time. Everything was perfect!! THANKS!!!!

The team for the Century Room at Packs is hands down one of THE best which with I have had the pleasure of planning an event. Clear communication, upfront pricing, flexibility, and top tier services allowed our team to plan a sit down dinner for 170 people and it went off without a hitch. They were able to make adjustments to our service to keep to us on our time table and did so in such a way that our gusts were none the wiser. The servers and bartenders went above and beyond to make every person feel welcome. I have received nothing but the highest praise from all of our attendees. The food was just as outstanding as the service. They worked with a plethora of dietary restrictions and no one went away hungry! The aesthetic of the room was the perfect backdrop for our roaring twenties themed evening. If you book your event here they will not disappoint!

I cannot rave enough about having our wedding reception at Century Room. From planning, to set up, to the event and the breakdown the entire team at Pack’s Tavern was amazing to work with. We may have picked Century Room on the Park prior to the pandemic, but we could not have picked a better venue staff to work with. We unfortunately had multiple postponements and Tabitha was nothing but exceptional to work with through the whole process. Century Room sets the bar high when it comes to class and professionalism. They were just lovely! We held our Welcome Party (essentially our rehearsal dinner) at the Century Room on October 8. The staff were wonderful, the food was incredible! We were so happy with the event that my fiance thanked them in his speech that night. Have no doubt that this venue will go above and beyond any other in the area and you will be left with a big smile and great memory of your night!

We chose Pack's Tavern as the reception venue for our May '21 wedding, and it was the perfect choice for us. We had a small wedding with around 25 guests so we used their patio area to have a dinner - it was beautiful! I received so many compliments on the space, even with little additional decor.
My husband and I were also blown away by the "house" beer selection. We expected a few domestic beers for our guests to be able to choose from and instead we were offered everything Asheville had to offer.
And, the food. Oh my, the food. Five months later and it's the most mentioned aspect of our wedding! We chose a selection of brisket, bbq, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, etc, and Pack's knocked it out of the park. If you've eaten at Pack's Tavern, then you know what to expect and you will not be disappointed!
Due to the nature of a Pandemic Wedding, we had to work within Covid-19 protocols, but it was a painless experience for my husband and I, as well as our guests. Honestly, we hardly noticed and would not call them an inconvenience in the slightest.
Also, the event coordinator, Tabitha, was a pleasure to work with. She answered all of my questions, kept us up to date on the ever-changing Covid-19 mandates, and did her best to help us know what to expect. She was extremely helpful!
Our experience with Pack's Tavern was everything we had hoped for and more. We wouldn't have changed a thing!

We have received non-stop compliments on our venue since our wedding! The Century Room included everything you possibly could need/want in a venue. In addition to being a gorgeous and conveniently located venue, we thoroughly enjoyed that it was a one-stop-shop for us, as The Century Room was our ceremony/reception space, as well as our bar/catering providers! Tabitha Wyatt was fantastic to work with over the last year- she is incredibly sweet and accommodating and has just been so helpful throughout our entire wedding planning process! She was hands-on the entire day of our wedding, in addition to checking in with us frequently leading up to the wedding to make sure everything went smoothly! We truly appreciate the entire wait staff and coordinators at The Century Room who made our wedding day better than we could have dreamed of!

We had our rehearsal dinner here and they did a fantastic job. Our first rehearsal dinner location fell through within 3 months of our wedding and were lucky Pack’s still had an opening for us. Their food was delicious and they had a good selection of beer and wine. We had our dinner out on the patio and our guests really enjoyed the space, including the back area where we played games!

You need to see this one in person, and talk with the event coordinator, Lizzy! As soon as we did, we knew this was the place for us. With some of the most reasonable pricing around for food & alcohol (we did plated meal & beer/wine only), plus a GORGEOUS all inclusive space downtown that's perfect for ceremony, cocktail hour & reception- you really can't go wrong. We got so many compliments from our guests on the food, local beer, and historic beauty of the space. We had a large number of vegans that were accommodated nicely, and we took advantage of the upstairs apartment for getting ready as well. Our photos with the brick & lots of natural light have turned out just beautiful. Since we were planning from afar for our wedding back in my hometown, communication with the venue was incredibly important. Lizzy was quick to respond to emailed questions, worked with us within our budget, and most importantly-we felt such a great connection with the staff that we were truly able to trust them with the execution of our day & had a relaxing, loving ceremony & reception. We can't thank you enough Lizzy & Tabitha, and highly recommend you book the Century Room!

I really enjoyed my experience with the Century Room. My wedding reception of 90 had everything that I wanted! My guests had positive reviews of the food, and there was plenty for everyone (we had family style). The ambiance was great with the brick and lights. We had plenty of space for dancing. Really - there was no disadvantage! Awesome time! The coordinators also were flexible with me even though I had a couple of odd requests. Thank you for helping to make my wedding day such a beautiful memory!

First, this venue was so perfect for what we imagined for our wedding. It was the perfect size for our 90 person wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We fit everyone in and still had more than enough space for a band, photo booth, and food stations. Every one of our guests commented on how great the space looked AND how great the food was. We weren't able to do a food tasting prior to the wedding, but it made no difference, every single thing we had was delicious - from the passed apps, to the pasta station, to the carving station - not a single thing disappointed. Also, Lizzy was so incredible to work with! She responded so quickly and helped with any and all of our requests to make our day go smoothly. We were so appreciative to the staff who stayed and made our day so wonderful even with an impending snow storm. Every waiter/bartender/employee was beyond nice and we are so thankful for everyone! Can't say enough good things about the Century Room!!

We chose the Century Room for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We wanted an all inclusive event space and it did not disappoint! It made it easy having everything all in one space, and not having to work with external vendors for things other than decorations and flowers. We did family style dinner service, so it was still formal but not buffet. Of course the location is amazing, if you want a downtown wedding this is the place to be! Lizzy was so sweet and easy to work with, and helped me and the bridal party remain calm the day of. I would recommend this space to anyone!

We are so grateful to have chosen the Century Room for our wedding reception! The event space is gorgeous, the service was fantastic, and the value was excellent compared to the many other venues I checked out in the Asheville area. Julie and Lizzy were so professional and prompt in answering our (numerous!!!) questions and helping us plan so many details of our reception. Having them on my team made me feel so at ease, even though I was planning my destination wedding from Florida. Lizzy and Tabitha did a fantastic job of executing the event, and our reception turned out to be more beautiful than I had imagined! The food was fantastic and they happily accommodated our vegan guest's food preferences. Our guests were so impressed with you all (and so were we!), and we cannot thank you enough for helping make our wedding day magical.

Our wedding at the Century Room was everything we dreamed it would be! Everyone we worked with there was so kind, friendly, professional, and responsive. We had our ceremony and reception there, and the space was so beautiful. Our reception dinner was EXCELLENT! All our guests were raving about the food. My grandmother has some pretty serious food allergies, and they went above and beyond to accommodate her to make sure she had a delicious dinner as well. I can't even begin to describe how much that meant to me and my family! You can't beat the awesome location either - it made for some amazing pictures and memories that we will always treasure!

This venue is reasonably priced and has an awesome rustic feel with the exposed brick. The food was AMAZING, we had so many people comment on how delicious the brisket and pulled pork we chose were. Even the vegetarian and vegan food options were good! They were super easy to deal with and responded back to me very quickly.

The Century Room is an amazing venue and the staff is phenomenal! Julie and Lizzy and their team went above and beyond to make sure all the details were in place, exactly as I wanted. I started the planning process from overseas and continued it long-distance from Florida, and they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful! The food and drinks are very reasonably priced and the venue is gorgeous! I'm so glad we went with the Century Room for our wedding reception!

I cannot say enough great things about Chandler and her team at the Century Room! They were such a breeze to work with and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our special day. We planned a destination wedding from South Florida and it was never an issue with the Century Room. The event space was beautiful and the food was great. Everyone is still talking about how much they loved the venue. Their staff work with you in every aspect of your event and are very responsive to emails, phone calls, and anything you need for you big day. We had multiple changes arise the week of the wedding and the staff could not have been more accommodating. We are so grateful to have had our wedding reception at The Century Room!

I am so happy that we decided to have our wedding reception at The Century Room! Not only is it a beautiful and unique venue, but Chandler and her team were so easy and fun to work with! They went above and beyond to make our wedding day easy and stress free. They are so organized and made it very easy on me when working through the planning process.
Our guests had such a great time and we received so many compliments on how delicious the food was (we had the lemon rosemary chicken, BBQ brisket, roasted veggies and mac-n-cheese)! We choose the family style dining and it was a hit - highly recommended! We had some children in attendance and the one thing that stood out as a special added touch was that they made a point to have kids meals prepared and ready for the kids when they got to the reception. This was a much appreciated touch that made for some very happy parents. Another really cool moment that we had (and that is unique to only The Century Room) was when we entered the venue. We choose to enter through the restaurant and go up the back staircase. When the bridal party walked in the entire restaurant started cheering and applauding for us! It was such a minor thing but made for a really cool moment.

Century room was the perfect venue for both our ceremony and reception! Chandler and her team are super professional and flexible! Being right downtown was a big plus in the eyes of so many of our guests who were able to spend time exploring Asheville prior to the wedding. Speaking of guest feedback, the food was a big hit (Mac and cheese all the way!). My husband and I are so incredibly pleased with every single moment of that day and we cannot thank Century Room enough for making it so wonderful and stress-free!

We had our reception here and it was amazing! The staff was super friendly and professional. Working with Chandler was a dream! She answered all our questions and worked with us on some complicated aspects to our reception with no problems at all. She met with us on several occasions and helped us stay on budget. The food was some of the best food I've ever had at a wedding reception. All of our guests raved about the Mac' N 'Cheese...amongst the rest of it of course! You don't need much for decorations as the space itself is unique and beautiful. We had more than enough space to move around with about 120 guests, including vendors. The location is terrific, in the heart of downtown Asheville, and very easy to get to. As far as the price, it was one of the more affordable options in Asheville, but you would never guess that given the high quality of everything. It was a amazing experience from beginning to end and I would recommend The Century Room to anyone to celebrate your big day! Oh and Pack's Tavern, which is downstairs, is an awesome place to grab food and drinks too!

Words cannot express how much we loved working with Chandler and The Century Room. From our first contact throughout the entire year of planning, Chandler was always so responsive and helpful. Not one detail was missed during the planning process. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff at The Century Room were so professional and kept the event moving along with the timeline Chandler and I had previously discussed. The space was more than beautiful and literally took my breath away when my husband and I were introduced. If we could do it all over again we would pick The Century Room every time. It was the perfect evening and such a dream come true!

We cannot say enough positive remarks about our experience with Chandler and the team at The Century Room. First there’s the space: it’s simply elegant, yet inviting. We were looking for a space that was architecturally interesting enough to minimize the amount of other decorations needed, and this place fit the bill perfectly. Second, there’s the food and the event staff: it was delicious, and they were happy and professional. Third, there’s Chandler, the event space coordinator: she was perfect. Sometimes it felt we put her through the wringer with our questions, yet she consistently responded to us with nothing less than professional enthusiasm and patience. She was incredibly accessible whenever we needed information from her. There were several instances in which we met with Chandler and walked away surprised at how above and beyond she had seemed to go in preparing for our meetings and satisfying our needs during them. Everything about working with the team of professionals at The Century Room was top notch!

Chandler at the Century Room was great to work with! She made sure that we had everything we envisioned. We had a few last minute changes to our menu, bar options and room layout and she handled them with no problem. She made the updates right away and made sure we were comfortable with everything before the event.
Chandler worked with us to ensure our small (100 guest) wedding was setup perfect and didn't feel overwhelmed by the large space etc. We loved the brick walls and wooden beams in the venue. The custom lighting package the Century room offered give the space a rustic yet sophisticated feel.
If we were planning out wedding again I would book the Century Room right away! We loved the venue and staff!

April and Mary are great to work with! They made things easy and simple. It's a great space, got so many compliments!! The food was delicious! The staff was very friendly during the reception too. Was a perfect venue, easy for the guests to find, parking was no problem, and if staying downtown can easily walk to one of the many hotels. Planning was a breeze with them! Would definitely recommend!

The Century Room on the Park was a great reception location. The room itself has great character. It also has a large bar for easy access, plenty of room for dancing, and the food was awesome. It is in a great location in downtown Asheville right near a ton of free public parking, the rest of the nightlife, and hotels. April and Mary are so great to work with, and they were very accommodating when it came to food and drink tastings and working with us on our table arrangements. April and the crew even handled a night-of "crises" flawlessly. Pricing was very reasonable for Asheville.

We held our wedding reception for 130 guests at the Century Room. From the minute we visited the space 13 months before our wedding all the way through the days after the wedding, the space and the managers were perfect. Mary and April were so easy to work with and accommodated all of our special requests. They never said no and they always work with us to stay within our budget but still have the amazing wedding we hoped for. The food from Chef French was amazing and we really challenged him by requesting authentic Greek and Italian cuisine. He did not disappoint. The room is absolutely beautiful and did not require much decoration or decor which helped us save on floral and the like. The view is gorgeous and Pack Square is the perfect location for pictures. I cannot say enough how wonderful it was to work with Mary and April. They were so amenable to everything we wanted and just went out of their way to make the night everything we dreamed of. They did not stress me out at all and just followed me lead through the process. They were flexible and did everything they could to accommodate us. We are so glad we picked the Century Room for our reception. Our guests said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. We agree! Only one word can describe it - perfect!

The Century Room was amazing for our wedding. We wanted a modern downtown feel and that's exactly what we got. The food was delicious! Guests are still telling me how great the food was. Mary, the coordinator, was easy to work with and willing to make us happy. She was even able to pull off a ceremony and reception with time to flip the room and 130+ guests. Couldn't have asked for a better day!

We highly recommend the Century Room as a venue for a wedding reception. The space is beautiful and the food was great (our guests continue to rave about the short ribs). It was a pleasure to work with Mary. She provided very helpful and accurate information when we had questions. We also loved the location of the Century Room. Our guests mostly walked from their hotels and then walked to bars afterward.
