About this vendor
People ask Lori why she became a wedding officiant. Here’s the story, short and sweet. She had friends that were looking for a Rabbi to perform a marriage ceremony for them and could not find one because they were a same-sex couple. They asked if she would become ordained because she knew the Jewish rituals and believes that love is love. That was Lori's first ceremony in 2013.
"As a wedding officiant, I create and perform joyful, meaningful, and personalized non-denominational wedding ceremonies for ALL couples." ~ Lori

A huge thank you to Lori! My husband and I decided to plan our wedding ourselves, but we needed someone to bring everything together for us on the day of the event. That’s where Lori came in. We hired her to be our officiant and day-of coordinator.
We had multiple meetings in the months leading up to our wedding, and I can confidently say that Lori is an expert in her field. Her extensive knowledge was incredibly helpful during a very stressful time. Her organization and attention to detail contributed to making our evening perfect and magical. Without her, our day would not have gone as smoothly as it did.
As our officiant, she perfectly captured the essence of our relationship and helped us begin this amazing new chapter in our lives.
Lori is always available to answer any questions you may have, and she provides helpful tips and tricks to save you money and time. We highly recommend Lori for anything you need regarding your wedding! Thank you again, Lori!
Lori officiated our wedding ceremony on 10/14/22. From the beginning, Lori was very professional and responsive. She worked with us to create a memorable ceremony and we loved the personal touches she added in our ceremony speech. Lori made sure we were happy with everything and sent us multiple drafts to approve. Lori answered every question we had and made us feel prepared for our big day. She even noticed that the groom's suit jacket had stitching still on it that needed to be cut. Lori went above and beyond for us and we couldn't have asked for a better Officiant. We definitely recommend her and her team!
My husband and I booked Lori to be our officiant. We chose the endless love package which includes 3 script revisions/edits, travel to the ceremony, arriving 30min early, and reviewing with the photographer/videographer prior to ceremony to assure they get the best shots.. also we booked her to come to our rehearsal the night before. The total of this came to $600. We had a video chat with her before we booked her. We put down our deposit and filled out about a 7 question questionnaire. Final payment was due before we got our first script. I got the first script about 2 weeks later after final payment.. and to be honest, I was very upset with it. The whole questionnaire we did, Lori only used one part of my husband’s and she literally copy and pasted what he wrote.. So she would be talking in first person about when he proposed to me. The rest of it was basically like a script you would here at every other wedding. I paid the higher package because I wanted it to be personalized.. fortunately, I was able to edit it and change it to make it more personal. When I got done editing it, I realized one major issue… the ceremony date AND time were wrong. I thought oh maybe because she obviously uses this script for many weddings, she accidentally forgot to change the time and date. Well I resubmitted the script, and approved it once she sent it back. One week out from my wedding, my wedding planner called me to discuss all my vendors and the plan. Well, she got to Lori and informs me Lori won’t be able to come to the rehearsal. Which is an issue because, she is the reason we have rehearsal. Also, she messed up the time our wedding ceremony started. The plan was for 3:30 the whole time, and she thought it was 5. Which explains why she had the wrong date and time on our script. I was very upset about how she messed up the time, date, didn’t really have a personalized ceremony script, and was now saying she couldn’t do rehearsal. At that point my husband and I decided to fire her. I didn’t care if we got our money back because I wanted her to have nothing to do with our most special day. We found a new officiant less than a week away from our wedding and he met with us, got to know us and wrote the most beautiful ceremony with NO GUIDANCE! Firing Lori from being our officiant was the best thing we did. Our ceremony was beautiful and not one dry eye was present. Do yourself a favor and just don’t book Lori, it isn’t worth the money. Keep scrolling. Book someone who takes the time to get to know you and your husband. On the up side, she did give us a 50% refund.. which is better than nothing.
Lori was great to us, kept contact and was responding constantly to my questions. She guided us in the marriage license process and sent out all of the paper work for us. She preformed the ceremony we requested and was catering to our wishes to keep it short and sweet. She was dog friendly (as we had our dogs present for the ceremony). I would recommend her to anyone needing officiant services!
From the announcement of our engagement to our wedding day, Lori worked with us every step of the way to ensure that we had our dream wedding. Lori was always very professional, replied to emails/texts/calls in a reasonable amount of time, and made sure that we were always ahead of our timeline to stay stress free. On our wedding day, we received many compliments on how the ceremony was truly unique and reflected us as a couple. I would recommend Ceremonies by Lori to any engaged couple who is looking to have a ceremony/wedding day that reflects who they are and truly breaks free from the "cookie cutter" mold.
