The new owner Chris is so sweet and wonderful. Her shop was the last in a long day of dress shopping, I was completely overwhelmed and she was so kind and fun. She was genuinely excited for me as a bride who wanted something different. I said yes to a dress, and was scared to look at the price tag but was happily surprised! I ended up going back and picking a different dress that we will customize to my preference, and I'm so excited! She offers layaway, and is a seamstress so she can give you realistic expectations of what can be changed. I can't wait to work with her to make my dream dress!
Chris and Alex were both so attentive and caring! They made the whole process so fun!
I had a wonderful experience at Champagne and Lace Bridal! Chris and Alex are amazing. Alex picked out a dress for me that I was totally not looking for and it turned out to be the one! Chris' skills as a seamstress are out of this world! I was measured and ordered a dress but in the meantime I had lost a lot of weight for the wedding. Chris was able to take the dress in at least 4-6 inches and my dress fit perfectly! They are so professional and make you feel welcome anytime you go in. I also love the fact that they are local and I didn't have to drive to St. Louis to find a dress and a seamstress. Chris is now altering my dress for a christmas party coming up! I would highly recommend Champagne and Lace Bridal!
Chris and Alex are the best! so sweet so professional, and so incredibly caring and attentive to each and every client! They do amazing and surprisingly fast work, top notch! They keep a cute and clean little shop, they have amazing selections and pricing to fit every style and budget! I can't say enough great things about them! They went above and beyond and took care of everything! Full service bridal salon and there is nowhere else I would go. They also have an amazing selection of formals for every occasion and they deliver every time! I take all my alterations there now and always check them first for formal wear for any occasion! You will not be disappointed in their service. So fun to work with and such high energy and sweet ladies!
Lydia and her team provided great service during the selection process and beyond. I always knew what was going on with my dress, and she even has connections with a very affordable and amazing seamstress. She was able to do both of my fittings In one weekend at the shop to accommodate my traveling with COVID.
I was looking for a specific dress and called around for several places searching for it. Most places I called just checked their inventory and let me know it was not available. When I called Champagne & Lace Bridal, Lydia checked her inventory and didn't have the dress available like the other places. However, she took the extra step to search through the inventory she did have to find a dress that was similar to the one I was looking for. Lydia took the time to dress it on the mannequin and send me pictures so I could see. She also let me know that she would be willing to order the exact dress I was looking for if that was what I preferred. Lydia was so friendly and I appreciate the extra effort she put in to help me.
Owner is very friendly! Excellent customer service!
She knows what she's doing. She makes sure the bride gets what she's looking for. Makes you feel at ease.
Lovely atmosphere!
Don't go here. Bottom Line. They have beautiful dresses, I will give them that. Their staff, for the most part, was terrible. There was one blonde girl that was extremely accommodating and nice, but the rest, including the owner, were downright rude. They lost the belt (and then broke it) for my wedding dress, and then tried telling us we didn't ever order it. Luckily my mom kept the invoice to show them. Then, they ordered another one for me and said "Don't worry, you won't be charged for this." Um, I would surely hope not. When I called to schedule a fitting, they were rude to me on the phone. They said they could transport my dress to their sister company, Willard's Tailor Shop, for a fitting, and later told me they don't offer that service and we would have to figure it out. They were totally disorganized and rude, and I would NOT go back to them again if I had to.
Good selection, good prices, very friendly and helpful staff! They made dress shopping not stressful! Found the perfect dress and they arranged for alterations. I enjoyed my experience with them!
I found the dress I wanted online just scrolling through Pinterest feed a few years before I got married. The day after I got engaged my mom scheduled an appointment with them because they had that dress. It ended up being the one. Finding the dress and trying on was a fun and enjoyable experience. They did my altering for the dress as well. It was an older style dress so I got the floor model and they moved it down from a size 14 to a size 8. Before the wedding I had lost some weight and they were great about me coming in multiple times to try it on made sure it still worked. I truly felt beautiful and comfortable on my wedding day and the owner of the store Debbie was amazing to work with.
At first they were nice, fun, and friendly. When I went into the shop again to make sure everything got ordered my MOH and I continuously kept asking the clerk why did I have to pay taxes the first time and not this time and her response was that they got a new system. I stated out loud to the clerk, as well as to myself, numerous times that the price that I was paying did not look right. She began to talk to me as if I could not comprehend and so I just decided to leave it alone. I was told that my dress would be ordered on Wednesday. I called on Friday because I did not receive a call stating if the dress had been ordered just for them to say that it was not ordered because the taxes were not included in the price causing it not to be at the half way mark for them to order it and that I needed to put more money down. After numerous phone conversations I told them that I would like to speak to the owner. On Sunday I received a call from the company and she told me that my dressed had been ordered. I called again on Tuesday to receive a return date and Lydia stated she had previously talked to me and told me that my dress was not and will not be ordered unless I put the rest of the money down that was needed. I told her that I would just call back to speak with the woman that I spoke to on Sunday about my dress. About 30 minutes later I called back and asked to speak to the owner again because she never reached out to me. She stated that the owner was not available, but that my dress was ordered. That she had made a mistake and did not know what occurred over the weekend, but I still needed to put the money down. I told her that I would still like to speak with the owner about the horrible customer service that I had received. The owner still has not called. Also, with looking at other shops after I had already put a down payment on my dress, the same dress was $200.00 cheaper at the shop that my bridesmaids purchased their dresses from. I would not recommend that anyone buy their wedding dress from this place.
I bought my wedding dress here and while I love my dress I may have been better off finding the same dress locally. The reason I went to this particular ship was because they carry a certain line of gowns I couldn't find locally so I went 2 1/2 hours away. I did not end up with a dress from that line but fell in love with one by the same designer. My experience picking the gown was excellent but it was while I was waiting for it to come in that I had some issues. I got a phone call in February that seemed to be a mix up and I found out that the manufacturer was backed up and it would be longer than originally thought. Ok no big deal. I got another call a month later asking for a parking to be made on my dress. We were under the impression that we could pay the balance when the dress came in. The message that was left made no mention that the dress had come in. When I called back they took 10 min to find someone to tell me that my dress had come in the week before. Not very happy that they asked for payment but did not tell me they had my dress until I questioned them about it. That left a bad taste in my mouth. When I picked up the dress they were not as helpful as when I ordered it. I took it home that day and had a good friend who alters wedding dresses and other formals do my alterations for me. I did not trust this shop to do my alterations in a timely manner. They are not terrible but I would not travel the distance to use them again.
My experience at Champagne and Lace Bridal left me heartbroken. My mother had already purchased my dream dress from J.Crew Bridal as a surprise (best mom ever)! It even fit perfectly! My mom and I ended up going to Champagne and Lace to look at hair accessories. We ended up looking at belts as well and decided to bring the dress in to try them on. The owner Debbie was present at this time and seemed helpful, but to the point (a kindred spirit in my mind). She heard us talking about putting a bustle in and said that they could do that. She also said that they could tack the belt down and even add in some cups for some added humph. At the last second I decided to even add some organza cap sleeves – I had no idea my dream dress could get any better but it did! Debbie assured us that everything would be done in a timely manner as it was just a couple weeks before my wedding. We went in the following week to see the finished product – not good. The belt was not tacked now or trimmed, the material was poking out of the cups and it did NOT zip! We took a look and the material had not been put back properly around the zipper and it would not zip when just on a hanger even. Debbie came out and promised that she would personally fix everything and to come back at the end of the week and she would be there to ensure it was perfect. Friday rolls around and we head up to the store. I do not know if anything in the world could have prepared me for what happened next. They ruined my dress. It was dirty, not steamed, a paperclip was through the organza material of the skirt, the belt was sewn on crooked (by an INCH), the whole bodice sat crooked as a result of the belt, one sleeve was noticeable tighter than the other, there were small tears all over the organza material AND there was a SIX INCH HOLE where the skirt and bodice were connected. We were both clearly displeased and wanted to see Debbie immediately. She, however, was not there and not nearby, even though she, herself, scheduled this fitting. The two girls, who were there, were truly lovely. They agreed it was horrifying, unacceptable and one girl was even talking about quitting because she did not want to be associated with this type of service. So, they called Debbie and were told that we either had to pay the $400 some balance or leave the dress. We paid the bill, told the girls to have Debbie call us immediately, and got the dress away from there as fast as possible. When we got to the car, I was beyond upset, but proud of myself. Both my mother and I handled the situation with poise and grace, while being very firm about our displeasure of the service. It was two weeks until my wedding… and I no longer had a wearable dress. When Debbie called my mom, I was let down once again. Instead of apologizing and doing whatever she could to make it better, she said we were stupid for buying such a cheap dress (a $2,500 J.Crew Dress), she said she did not do anything wrong to the dress, and was overall hostile and rude. I ended up going to David’s Bridal that same night and walked out with a dress. It was a gorgeous dress, but it was not my dream dress that was no longer available anywhere. I have no idea why this happened or if this is their normal customer service, it seemed like a cute boutique upon first glace. Either way, I feel that my experience needed to be shared in the off chance that it prevents another bride from feeling the pain that I endured. Find your dream dress and treasure it!
This was the bridal store I was most looking forward to going to, and the one I was most disappointed in. First off, the dresses are displayed poorly - in a small space with little room to browse and look. One of the biggest downfalls in the limited selection is most of the dresses were sized way too large for me. I understand, to accommodate most brides, dresses tend to run on the bigger side because they can be clipped and fitted down much easier. However, when I needed a size 6 and was trying on dresses that were size 18 and 20 because that's what was in stock, I might as well not have tried them on because by the time they were clipped to size, it was not a true representation of the dress. Most other places had a rack of size 14 and unders, as well as a 16+, so that you could get at least with in a reasonable range of your size. The number of designers was fair, but many of them were lower end and this could definitely be noticed in the quality of the dress. The fabrics used and construction of the dresses were sub-par (I've had several years of experience in sewing myself, including two years of professionally taught fabric and sewing classes). This being said, the prices for these dresses were out of line - costing the same or more as dresses I tried on, and eventually bought elsewhere that were much higher quality. This is definitely not the best bang for your buck.
The two ladies that worked in the shop were very sweet, and helped with the selection, and trying on of dresses. Additionally, compared to other shops I visited, I'd say this one had more trendy selections others didn't - for instance, a high-low dress.
Champagne and Lace were the best I have had so far with trying on wedding gowns. Nichole that helped me was very nice and did not push me to any dress style or anything she would ask me if i liked what I saw and if I did not like the way it looked on me we were on to the next gown. I would go back and use them again and I might of even found my dress from there but I still have a bit of time on my hands.
I was so excited to try this little boutique. They called me the week of my appointment to ask me what my budget was. When I arrived at the store, again, they asked my budget. So, I began looking at gowns and the woman started taking some of my favorites to the dressing room. I found the dress I LOVED. However, when I looked at the price tag, it was $2,000 OVER my budget. I was completely devastated because I thought for sure everything I was pulling was in my budget since they asked me twice. Of course they offered a 10% discount which was a whopping $200. Needless to say, I was very disappointed in their customer service. Do not let a bride try on the gown of her dreams that is WAY over her budget when she is in the mindset that everything she tries on is within her budget since she had been asked several times.
When I found out my son was engaged I knew where I wanted to shop! This quaint little bridal salon is right down the street from me and I so wanted to go in there and buy something before but now I had the opportunity to actually buy something for that special occasion. My experience was efficient, professional, and definitely a great experience! I was welcomed and treated with a smile and they were so helpful to say the very least! Then when Debby the owner did my alterations, all I can say is wow! I lost 50 pounds and I went from a size16 to a size4 and my dress was to say the very least was absolutely PERFECT!!!! I received many compliments all night long and I loved the dress that I chose to purchase! Thank you Champagne and Lace Bridal!!!!
I was fitted for and ordered a bridesmaid dress in October and it did not arrive until March. They measured me and allegedly ordered the correct size based on my measurements but when I tried on my dress, it was HUGE. At least one whole size too big. I live out of state and when I called to request a smaller size be ordered, they told me there was nothing they could do. "That happens sometimes," they said. No returns, no other sizes available. Alternations are to be expected, but this is beyond an alteration; this dress is much too big.
They were nice enough in person, but the order came in so late and their customer service leaves much to be desired. The dress does not fit; it's their mistake. Yet they were not willing to do anything to fix it.
I wish someone had warned me to stay from this place. I'd heard awful things about their alterations of dresses but I figured I could just find someone else if I found a gown I liked here. My actual shopping experience with my consultant was great, I found my dress, I cried, I put down my deposit, and it all went downhill from there. First, they had a fire in the store the week my dress was due in and no one could tell me if it had been there and burned up or not for weeks. They later called me to tell me my dress was in. I no longer live in the area so I paid my dress in full over the phone and asked my Mom to pick up the dress for me. When she picked up the dress, they weren't even going to show it to her. She had to ask them to open the bag so she could inspect the dress and that's when we realized we had a BIG problem. It wasn't my dress! The dress had a corset style back and I was told by my consultant that it could be ordered with a corset or a zipper and the zipper was the option I selected (it was noted on my contract.) When my Mom pointed out this error to the manager and the owner, they said they would call the manufacturer to see what happened. That's when they dropped the bomb that my consultant lied to me and the dress only came with one style of back, the corset. When my Mom inquired about alterations and if a zipper could be put in they told her they don't recommend it, they couldn't guarantee the integrity of the dress, and that the designer obviously intended for the style to be that way. In short, they made no acknowledgement that their employee lied to me just to make a sale and offered no option for fixing the dress, or apologizing for their error. They told my Mom that if we didn't want the dress they would keep the deposit and the dress. That's almost $1000 I'd be out few months before my wedding and still, no dress. It was only after I called the manufacturer that the manager would even speak to me about the situation. The next time I was in town, I took the dress back to the store to ask for a refund since I was lied to and the dress was not what I paid for. First, the owner was nasty to me and said they would have no problem putting a zipper in the back, which is the exact opposite of what they told my Mother when she picked up the dress the first time. After enough persuading, they finally agreed to give me a refund minus a 20% restocking fee and they wouldn't take the veil.
Don't walk from this place, run! The tears I cried over their mistake, the money I lost over their lies, and the scramble to find a last minute dress is the last thing any bride wants or needs.
i like the ladies that work there they know their job and how to make you feel special, slight communacation problems their main store caught on fire and their sample dresses of what i choosed for bridesmaids and my dress burnt in the fire, slight problems with price changing i need to talk to them about that, and see what the sition is for that. other then that i have nothing but great things to say about them they are helpful friendly and can multi task and keep a smile on their faces which i know can be hard for them when they are extreamly busy and tried but they donot show it to the customers, i would say to any bride also on a tight budget to go there they work with you on payments which is another reason i like them.
Very helpful, slight communication issues.
