Amber and her team were an incredible find. She was so kind, helpful and thorough throughout the whole process. She gave us really great ideas for the menu, and it paid off! Our guests RAVED about the food; we did some Charleston staples and they were a hit (the shrimp and grits are awesome). The entire catering staff was very professional and pleasant and the service was excellent. We couldn’t be happier with choosing Charleston Catering and Events!

Amber and the team at Charleston Catering and Events were AMAZING! I immediately felt comfortable working with Amber and she really helped bring my vision of the menu to life! Their presentation is gorgeous, and the food was incredible! We're still hearing from guests about how delicious the food at our wedding was. Can't recommend working with Amber and the Charleston Catering and Events team enough!

Jayme was amazing and helped us pull off the perfect wedding! The food was so delicious and Jayme was so helpful. She was always was so pleasant even when my mom and I would email her every little question we had. We cannot say enough good things!

I can't even begin to describe how amazing Cafe Catering was for our wedding. Our guests would not stop talking about how great the food was the entire night. Everything from the shrimp and grits station, to the fried green tomato hors d'oeuvres, to the sick biscuits was to die for. Their staff was fabulous and worked with us to make custom changes to the menu and helped keep everything within our budget. SO happy we went with them to cater our wedding.

Would recommend this company for catering: the food, presentation and service were great. They are also reasonable in pricing. Though that's all I'd recommend them for -catering!

Katie and the team were outstanding! Cafe Catering was our food vendor of choice from the beginning. Katie worked with us to get our menu down to the "T", we did a tasting a few months out (p.s. ensure to be hungry - haha), and then the day of was executed flawlessly. I ensured to eat a little bit of everything...and I believe most of my guests felt the same way. So many guests came up to us and said the food was the best they'd ever had, let alone the best at any wedding. The display of the food was even gorgeous. Thanks again Cafe Catering for an unforgettable night, we are forever grateful.

Planning any wedding can be difficult, but its an extra challenge for us that plan a destination wedding. Cafe catering was amazing from day one, especially since our main communication was though email! They were extremely patient and accommodating through the entire process, and went above and beyond to create the perfect menu for us! Since I said this was a destination wedding, Lauren even set up a last minute tasting, when I told her I would be coming to town for a few days! The food was phenomenal, absolute perfection!! All of the guests raved about it. Anyone looking for a unique, affordable and upscale option, Cafe Catering is highly recommended! I also used Lauren as my "day of coordinator", She was incredible! She made sure everything ran smoothly, and we always had what we needed. She kept the guests happy, and more important the bride!!! I couldn't have asked for anything better!! Cafe Catering had a huge part in making our special day extraordinary!!

If you want people to talk about how good your food is after the wedding, choose Cafe Catering. I heard about Cafe Catering because they catered a friend's wedding. Their fried green tomato and pimento cheese sandwiches, crab cakes, and demi-tasse she crab soups convinced me that they were the caterer to choose. We had sauteed scallops and sushi-grade seared tuna on top of seaweed salad that was so delicious that my guests had eaten all of it by the time I had a chance to eat. The same happened with the crab cakes. I did get some of the fried green tomato and pimento cheese stacks, and they were so so delicious. Also, I chose the standard bar plus one premium beer selection. I was so busy with other things that I didn't ever say what beer I wanted. They provided a selection of 4 or 5 local craft beers that my friends were crazy about. Many of our guests told us that this food was the best wedding food they had ever had. It looked like a 5 star restaurant had catered our event. The food was Southern, but modern. It was all perfectly cooked. All of the fried food is fried onsite so it doesn't get soggy. In addition, they packed us a huge bag of leftovers since we didn't get to eat much at the wedding. I do have to say though, you have to think about the event too. My friends had a delicious mac and cheese bar, but I decided not to go with that because, if mac and cheese doesn't get eaten immediately, the noodles soak up all of the moisture, and it gets dry. So, we planned the menu with the event in mind. I want to have another event just so they can cater it. I've given great reviews for all of my vendors, but it's because my wedding was perfect. I would not change one thing about it.

Lauren and Café Catering provided catering, beverages, and coordination for my daughter's recent wedding. We had approximately 140 people and I cannot count the number of people who told us we served "the best wedding food they had ever had". The food was outstanding, well-presented and demolished! And Lauren is exceptional. She was easy to deal with, really listened to what my wife and daughter (and I) wanted, and she was the first person onsite the day of the wedding, and the last one to leave. She coordinated flawlessly with florists, dj, dessert bakers, and all vendors. There are always last-minute "glitches", but Lauren handled everything beautifully and made it look easy. I did flowers for the outdoor wedding, and she even ran to the hardware store for me to help resolve my self-induced glitches. I suspect Lauren creates good friends along with great weddings. We could not have been happier with Lauren and Café Catering.

Everything from the first meeting to the end of the reception was amazing with Lauren and Cafe' Catering. The food was incredible and many guests from the wedding are still raving about it! I have many family members that have worked for different catering companies across the states, and they all agreed that this was the best food and service that they have ever encountered. Lauren was more than helpful with everything, responded quickly to e-mails or questions, set up meetings to fit my schedule, allowed multiple food tastings, and made the entire process easy. I highly recommend them to everyone. I am already trying to get my friends to use them so that I can taste the delicious food again! I have only great things to say about them!

The food is to die for! We had a stations reception. The shrimp and grits and macaroni and cheese was awesome! Guests did not go home hungry. Lauren and Katie were awesome to work with. Their pricing is great! The cost included an open bar (which was crazy affordable)!

We chose Cafe Catering because we did like their menu and we haven't been disappointed. The food and the presentation were outstanding. We couldn't have taken a better vendor for our wedding. Unfortunately we weren't to happy with the service, I didn't feel comfortable with the majority of the staff and they didn't seem to be to enthusiastic to work there. We also had a disagreement with Lauren about the umbrellas she had organized and despite the fact that we had proof that we are right, she didn't agree with us. At the end, due to several inventions of our wedding planer, we got some (but not all) of the money for the umbrellas back. We can definitely recommend them for the food, but not for the management.

I cannot say enough about Lauren and the Cafe Catering team. From the very first phone call with Lauren I knew I'd found my girl. Caterer PLUS wedding planner. I told her my vision and she completely nailed it. Everything was impeccable, the food was delicious, all the coordination was perfection. Lauren's coordination is an absolute must. From managing all the major rental vendors, to making sure all my wedding party was where they needed to be the day of, to getting my now husband and I anything we needed, she was on it! My mom would ask Lauren if we had any number of things..Lauren's response would either be yes or I'll make it happen. Always going above and beyond all of our expectations. She's such a pleasure to work with and her attention to detail and ability to really understand your vision for the overall feeling of what we wanted was dead on. We wanted romantic, formal/vintage, whimsical... I have people calling me everyday and saying that it was hands down the most beautiful wedding they've EVER been to. I have to be honest it was the most beautiful wedding I've ever been to. Thank you Cafe Catering and Lauren, you guys are rock-stars! We cannot ever thank you enough for making our day so magical and memorable. It was such a dream come true. Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU!

I can not say enough great things about Cafe Catering! The food was amazing! I thought the food was great at the tasting but it was even better at the wedding! Lauren was also our day of planner, and she is wonderful! She went up and beyond my expectations, and I would highly recommend her to any bride and groom! Our wedding day was completely perfect and I owe so much to her! Highly, highly recommend Cafe Catering and Lauren!

Lauren at Cafe is incredible! She knew my style immediately and as my Mom said "had my number". She recommended a menu based on my likes that was pretty much right on cue. She based everything off of your budget and would cut back or help you if you started getting nervious that you were going over. She was so easy to work with and my mom and I instantly connected with her. We were so impressed that we ended up hiring her on for the Coordinator. She was such a wonderful help from deciding on linen colors, decor, food, bar, and table placement. She thought of situations I never would have thought of to help our night go as smoothly as possible. She is young so you feel comfortable right away and like an equal and not threatend. She was incredible at getting right back with phone calls or emails-- very important! She helped recommend other vendors. Before we walked out she packed up a to go box for us in the Black Cab which was awesome since we hardly ate any of the food at the wedding. Everyone keeps ranting and raving about the food. Saying it is some of the best they have ever had. What helped me make my decision -- Go eat breakfast/lunch at Charleston Cafe. You wont be disapointed with the quality, service, and value. Don't hesistate-- Go with Cafe Catering! Very professional!

Café Catering was a hands-down winner among the different catering companies while I went through the selection process and collected reviews. I used them for catering, bar, and day-of planning. Lauren gave me invaluable, honest feedback at each meeting and was never short of great ideas. Even though my emotions may have been all over the place, I never felt judged. She would listen, and then we’d solve the problem. I’d walk out of every meeting feeling better than when I came in. The day of the wedding, everything went beautifully. Just at the perfect moments, Lauren would be right there to cue me (or anyone else who had a responsibility). Everyone I met on her staff was sincere and would go above and beyond to make my event great. (Three of them even learned my surprise flash-mob dance and performed it with us at the reception!) I give Lauren and all of the staff at Café Catering an A+!

Another recommendation by our planner. My only complaint is that my dress didn't allow me to eat EVERYTHING I wanted!!! We had a perfect menu that tasted great! Everyone complimented the food and wanted to know the caterer. We were so happy to have used them and would definitely use them again.

Cafe Catering provided food, drinks, and coordination for my wedding. They did a wonderful job! The food and drinks were delicious and completely customized to our tastes. Lauren did a great job coordinating and went above and beyond the day of the wedding. All of our guests were very impressed with their services. I would also recommend their restaurant too.

We used cafe catering for coordination, alcohol, and food. They did a wonderful job, were extremely flexible and professional, and made delicious food and drinks. Everyone was impressed with the quality of food and the bar selection was customized to our tastes. Their prices are very reasonable and staff did a wonderful job. Couldn't be more satisfied with their services.

These ladies are worth their weight in gold! They did our catering, bar and ceremony and reception coordination and I am so pleased with all aspects. We did a breakfast menu for dinner and I have heard nothing but raves on how great the food was. I tried almost everything at the reception and again late that night from our bride & groom goodie basket. Even cold at 1 AM the food was still amazing. We also had the stress of an outdoor venue and uncooperative weather, but they jumped into action and made everything smoothly! They also were very helpful in the planning process. Very willing to work within our budget and offer great suggestions the whole way through. I originally didn't want to spend the extra money for coordination, but we (my husband and I and our family) are so grateful we did. It was absolutely money well spent for saving my sanity. I really cannot say enough good things about this company. They made our wedding a huge success and eliminated a ton of stress.

I'll start by saying that the most important thing to my husband and I was the FOOD. We wanted our guests to leave with full bellies and memories of lowcountry yumminess that they had to coming back to Charleston for. And we want to hear about our food 10 years from now. That was accomplished with Cafe Catering. AND they sent us back to our hotel with a huge shopping bag full of leftovers so that we were able to try everything - something that we were unfortunately not able to do at the reception. In addition to the food and drinks, the decor was perfect as well. The decor and setup does cost extra, but it was so very worth it. I worked with Lauren and she matched my vision to a tee. I was so pleased with her, the catering staff, the quality and presentation of the food and the cocktails, the decor, and the pricing. This is not the fault of Cafe Catering, but one of the event rental companies they were working with, Stage Presence, did not come to pick up their event rental items the night of or morning after our event. So my only complaint is not even really about Cafe Catering, but about a company that they used to help make our event perfect.

We decided on Cafe Catering based on our initial conversations with Lauren, their reviews, pricing, and their extensive menu. Throughout the planning process, Lauren was very accommodating and responsive. She also performed our day-of coordination (a MUST HAVE, in my opinion). Everything was perfect. The food (which our guests still rave about), the coordination (I did not have to manage anyone that day!), and the generous getaway box (my husband and I had a late night feast!)... I just can't say enough positive things about Lauren and Cafe Catering. They have earned some loyal fans here -- we'll definitely stop in at the Cafe on every future trip to Charleston! Thank you!

I recently had Cafe Catering coordinate and cater my wedding reception. I could not have been happier with their food and service!! The food was phenomenal, the coordiation was detail oriented and hassle-free for me, the decoration was gorgeous, and I didn't have to worry about anything during my event! Lauren Miller was a fantastic coordinator who took care of every single detail! Overall, my experience with them was great!

Lauren Miller and the entire staff did such a fabulous job for us. We love Charleston Cafe and were thrilled to discover their catering division. Lauren helped us chose a menu of foods we love that got great reviews. In addition, the decorations were beautiful and really helped accentuate the maritime theme of our wedding. The staff made sure our drink glasses were full and that when we did make time to nibble, we got extra attention to make sure our food was hot and fresh. And the getaway box of food was literally overflowing. Can't say enough good things about them!

She coordinated everything from the rentals, the setup, lining us up for the ceremony, and making sure everything stayed on schedule during the reception. They even packed up food for us since we didn't get an opportunity to eat very much at the reception. All in all they were a pleasure to do business with and I would recommend them in a heartbeat!
