Hands down, Nicole is the best dance instructor ever! My husband and I were looking for a dance instructor to help us with our First Dance, in the style of a Viennese Waltz. I had no idea how many lessons we would need or how easy or difficult learning the choreography would be for us since we really hadn’t danced together before, so no idea about anything whatsoever. We had our first lesson 3 weeks before the wedding and from the start all my worries went away! From the first lesson we were already learning the basic steps and theory of a Viennese Waltz, and had started to learn parts of the dance that were seamlessly integrated to the final version. Honestly jaw-dropping amazing how quickly she had designed a vision for the dance. The highlights of those final weeks of wedding planning were whenever we were scheduled for a class with her. We had so much fun, she provided great critique and encouraged us as we went along, with such a positive and zero stress vibe every single time! We took 5 classes and the results were PER-FEC-TION! My parents replay the video about +10 times per day and tear up every single time. My dad will ask question after question about the dance, the song, the choreography; and every time we are delighted to tell him how great of a dance instructor Nicole is! We cannot say this enough! Not only extremely talented but a super fun, great and patient instructor! We loved it so much we are learning swing soon!
My (now) husband and I decided just to take one lesson before our wedding as sort of a refresher ;) Didnt want anything choreographed but also didnt want to fall on our faces ;) Nicole was fantastic! She really put us both at ease and gave us the pointers we needed to get a few steps down :)
We are so happy to have found Nicole for our wedding dance lessons! My fiance and I had no idea how to dance so we wanted to learn a few steps so that our first dance would look natural. Nicole helped us pick a song that went with the vintage theme of our wedding and had a good rhythm for dancing. We took 2 lessons a few weeks before our wedding which was perfect. Nicole is super friendly and great at teaching you steps that are easy to learn. It really helped that she took a short video at the end of each lesson so we could see and remember what we did. She gives little critiques as you are dancing to help perfect your steps, which is so helpful! Within 2 weeks we had our dance down! You will want to practice on your own for about 20 minutes in the evenings, but Nicole will give you all the steps you need to get it!
What do you do when your beloved bride-to-be daughter has choreographed an elaborate father-daughter wedding dance and you are a non-hoofer with lifelong terror and dread of cavorting in public? What you do is pray fiercely to the heavens that someone like Nicole Woodling comes to the rescue. Fortunately my girl inherited some pretty decent problem-solving genes and enlisted Nicole's assistance a leisurely--and for me frightening--one week before the blessed event. Not to worry. For the moment we met Nicole's infectious enthusiasm put me at ease. More to the point, she has a God-given gift for communicating non-verbally through example and touch. In her hands it felt as if the rhythm and sense of the steps were flowing directly from her into me. She allowed me to feel for the first time in my life the pure joy of dancing and the satisfaction of expressing yourself through movement. I make no great claim for my final performance: The only review I needed was the look of happiness and love on my little girl's face as she breathlessly said, "Dad, we killed it!"
If you have the opportunity to study or work with this woman--seize it!
I had a great experience with Nicole - for my wedding I wanted to do a Waltz with my husband who has two left feet. Nicole had great suggestions for our routine, including a creative and cute introduction, and polished us up! She was very enjoyable to work with, and was able to easily convey dance steps and rhythm. A great teacher! Our wedding dance was perfect!!
Nicole is a wedding godsend.
Long story short, my husband had an epic vision for our wedding dance and it would take a highly talented, strong-minded choreographer to get the job done. Enter Nicole. From the get-go, Nicole’s creative, thoughtful, decisive personality meshed with our (reasonably?) demanding needs. We loved how she always came prepared, bringing ideas and choreography to every lesson, but maybe a bit more importantly for us, she was always willing to make changes on the fly. (Did I mention my husband had a vision? :)) The end result was perfection and could have landed us on a wedding version of Dancing with the Stars.
