Cheekadee Makeup Artists

We were lucky to be paired with Aja (makeup) and Meghan (hair) for our wedding reception. Aja helped make me and all of my family feel like the most beautiful versions of ourselves! I received so many compliments on my makeup and one friend even suggested I should have Aja do my makeup whenever I go out :) I appreciated how Aja listened to what each person wanted and really delivered on their vision. As a group that does not wear a lot of makeup, she managed to make each person feel comfortable throughout the whole process and enhanced each person's natural beauty! Meghan was a true pro with hair styling! My hair was exactly what I wanted and stayed in place all night (even through a night of dancing followed by an after party!). They were both a part of what made our wedding reception incredible!

My makeup artist for my wedding was Aja and she was absolutely amazing!!!! She understood my vision and made me feel like a freaking beautiful queen. She understood that I don't wear much makeup that often and that I wanted to feel glamorous and special but still look natural and like myself and she absolutely nailed it! My bridesmaids all loved her as well!!! Could not recommend her highly enough! The only reason I didn't choose 5 stars is because communication with the company wasn't perfect. The owner is the one that communicates with you throughout the process and sometimes was not prompt with returning emails and there was some confusion about payment. It all worked out in the end and she got back to us relatively quickly but I would have felt more comfortable if the communication had been a tiny bit better. Aja was great with communication though and even answered my texts days before the wedding when I was trying to get the correct lipstick! Aja was also very chill and super kind and fun on wedding day. Definitely added to the experience of my day and getting ready. Could not say enough good things about Aja!

My original make-up artist moved a month before my wedding, and I was having true anxiety about finding a new makeup artist. Cheekadee was responsive, and recommended a great artist, Jenny. Jenny listened to what I was looking for during the pre-trial. I ended-up finding what I didn't want from my make-up, and on my weddning day, I had the perfect idea for what I wanted, which Jenny delivered.

Nina did an amazing job on my makeup and all of my girls on my wedding day! I rarely wear makeup on a day to day basis so was looking for a very natural look. Nina did just that and more. She made me feel done up and beautiful but I still looked exactly like myself. My makeup was perfect! My mom and I both did a trial before the wedding and Nina made it such an enjoyable experience - she is so kind and talented! I wish she could do my makeup everyday! Nina did a wonderful job on my bridal makeup! She was supportive even when I made a significant number of pivots from my trial to the morning of. Nina and her team are very professional, great at what they do, and the sweetest addition to your bridal suite.

Nina and her staff are just incredible. We didn't have a ton of time to get makeup done for 6 people, but her "assistants" are all fully-trained professionals and had us all looking gorgeous well before we needed to walk down the aisle. Nina is so professional, kind, and amazing to work with. Anything you ask her to do, she can do. Any last minute changes? No problem. Suddenly feel like getting airbrushed? Let's do it! She was there with an answer to everything. My only hesitation in hiring was the lack of representation for darker skin tones on her website, but I shouldn't have been worried at all! One of my bridesmaids is South Sudanese and Nina's team mixed the foundation to match her deep tones PERFECTLY! I could not recommend her and her staff more and if you are worried about their ability to cater to you - do NOT! I promise you cannot go wrong with her team, no matter what your shade is!

Nina and Jen were amazing and made my entire bridal party look beautiful. They were prompt and efficient, and everyone's makeup was done ahead of schedule! Everyone's makeup stayed put for the entire day, which was a true feat since it was a record setting heat the day of my wedding! I would gladly recommend Cheekadee to any of my friends.

I would recommend Cheekadee because of their efficiency, their flexibility and ability to adapt in a COVID environment, and for their talent. Getting ready on my wedding day was a blast, in part because Meghan and Kelly helped add to that fun atmosphere full of joking and laughing! What's more, they arrived on time and were efficient so that we remained on schedule. Our hair and make-up all looked great, even throughout a day of outdoor pictures and a night of dancing. On a day when you want to look and feel your most beautiful, they definitely make that happen.

Fast with communication. I had Aja do makeup for myself, bridal party, and both moms. I am not someone who normally wears makeup so I was nervous before the trial but she knew just the right amount to look good in pictures but still look like myself. She did a great job and everyone loved their makeup! Aja is sweet and easy to talk to, making her fit in great while everyone was getting ready. My makeup lasted all night and through all the tears. Highly recommend

From the initial contact with Jo to the day of with Grace and Meghan, it was a pleasure working with Cheekadee. Jo was quick to respond to my many emails, and both Grace and Meghan were wonderful to work with for trials and day of. Grace is a true artist and had all of us (ages 25 to 84) looking incredible and feeling confident - even those not used to full face make-up. She was able to fit in an extra person, and Meghan did hair for two extra people. These ladies were so professional and not even bothered by the extra last minute work. I even became Meghan's nightmare and changed my hair as she was finishing. She re-did it in a completely different style from our trial, and it looked gorgeous. She is fast, talented, and amazing. Use Cheekadee and you'll have one less thing to stress about on your wedding day.

Aja was so wonderful from beginning with my makeup trial to all of her help day of! She showed up promptly and was such a calming and fun person to have around on a day that has the potential to be very stressful. Couldn’t have asked for anything better! Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Cheekadee enough! From the start, they were responsive and flexible as we needed to postpone our wedding. Nina is a phenomenal makeup artist. From my trial to the day of makeup, I have never felt more beautiful or flawless ever! All of my bridesmaids and mom’s makeup were amazing too! We were so impressed with how perfect and fresh we felt all day long and all got compliments on our makeup all day long!

When my plans changed due to COVID (who’s hasn’t?!) I had to scramble to find a new makeup artist (our previous one was booked on our new date). Cue my MOH who recommended her makeup artists from her wedding: Nina and Cheekadee. Right from the very beginning Jo and Nina were extremely friendly and responsive to all my emails and text messages. My trial was a great experience, even with all the new restrictions in place. When we got closer to our wedding date it became apparent we weren’t going to be able to have our big wedding we has hoped and ended up changing to a more intimate gathering in our family’s backyard....Cheekadee accommodated location changes without a fuss. Nina and an assistant came to my sister-in-law’s home the morning of the wedding and got makeup done for 9 girls EARLIER than we anticipated. She even did last minute touch-ups to make sure everyone looked perfect right before the ceremony. I can’t say enough about how amazing Nina is!!!

I am so happy with my decision to use Cheekadee for my wedding! I had LeeAnn as my make-up artist and she did an absolutely incredible job with my make-up and the make-up of my entire bridal party. I was obsessed with my make-up after my trial with LeeAnn and didn't think it could possibly get any better but she truly outdid herself on the day of my wedding. I felt beautiful. I highly recommend booking LeeAnn as your make-up artist and visiting her for a few facials before the big day (she is a multi-talented aesthetician)! I also used Meghan from Cheekadee for hair and could not be happier. I had Meghan as the hairstylist for myself and my bridesmaids, and she was phenomenal. She worked so fast and was able to do whatever hairstyles we wanted. She was also very accommodating for me adding people last minute.

I chose Cheekadee as the makeup vendor for my wedding after being extremely impressed by their work at a friend's wedding. Jo was a pleasure to communicate with during my planning process - her responses were prompt, thorough, and professional. My makeup trial with Nina was wonderful - and then she absolutely exceed any expectations I had on the day of the wedding. I watched Nina and Kim bring out all of the most beautiful features in my bridesmaids - they looked flawless. My mom and mother-in-law raved that Nina made them look 10 years younger! My makeup was everything I could have dreamt of and more - she made me feel beautiful. I have fairly severe keratosis pilaris on my face, which I am very self-conscious about. However, Nina made it disappear with air brushing and contouring - and I didn't see it appear again in one photograph all night. I am convinced that she is a makeup magician. Not only is she wildly talented, but she is kind and patient, and served as a source of calm energy when things around us seemed chaotic! One of my bridesmaids is engaged, and booked Nina immediately after witnessing her work first-hand. I could not recommend Nina and the Cheekadee team highly enough!!

I booked Hailey with Cheekadee for our make up artist for my wedding. Since this was my first time getting my makeup professionally done, I was hesitant and didn't want to look to far away from myself. Hailey was able to give me the look that I wanted, enhancing my features and giving me a natural/nude look for the wedding. She made everyone in my party feel comfortable with their looks and myself confident and ready for my big day. She was early at arriving to the hotel (which worked our perfectly for us!), stayed on schedule/a little early, and was able to work with a variety of faces for myself, two bridesmaids, and two moms. An added bonus is that she worked with my and my make-up style to make sure my look would be good with my glasses! I highly recommend Cheekadee to hire for weddings! Timely arrival, beautiful work, and sweet people! All around a great outcome and we recently received our pictures and were very satisfied with how our makeup looked in pictures.

Emailing with Nina and Jo to coordinate makeup for our wedding was very pleasant, but our wedding party left feeling disappointed and even offended. The makeup artist, LeeAnn, told two of our guests that they cannot have the look they wanted due to their “hooded eyes”. We asked that they not upsell additional services like airbrushing and eyelashes to our guests on the day of, which they agreed to— only to then individually offer these services without being clear about the added price. It was very unprofessional and frankly not worth the money. The only real positive was that Meghan (hair artist) seemed to be good, even helping out with a few items when there was down time! Thanks for the help Meghan!

Nina was amazing- highly organized, a true professional, and did gorgeous work. I ended up doing 2 trials (with airbrush for the first, without it for the second), and Nina was committed to finding a look for my wedding that fit exactly what I was looking for- and she delivered. She did the makeup for 6 of us on my wedding day (moms, sisters, MOH, and myself) and everyone looked gorgeous, flawless, and like themselves in the best way possible. Thank you, Nina!

Nina was the makeup artist for my wedding March 30th and she did a phenomenal job. Everyone looked so beautiful and was so happy with their makeup. I loved my experience with Cheekadee for my wedding hair and makeup. They helped set up a convenient time for my trial - since I was coming from out of town there was a little more coordinating that needed to happen from my end, and they were super willing and flexible to make the trial work with my limited windows of availability. On the day of we had Nina for Makeup and Megan for hair. They were both amazing and super fun to work with. All of the ladies were so happy with their hair and makeup - including myself. They helped me look exactly how I was hoping to look on my wedding day. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Nina did makeup for myself, 4 bridesmaids, and my mom and we all looked amazing! I told her I wanted a natural look, didn't give any other guidance, and she just did her thing! She took her time and made sure my makeup was perfect and exactly what I wanted. We all got the traditional makeup and it held all day, despite taking some photos outside in a little rain. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Nina did my makeup and it was exactly what I dreamed of. The trial was so easy and Nina listened to every detail I said. She even gave me her personal number because I had a few questions and she told me it was ok to contact if I needed anything further. The night before she sent me a text to check in and I totally appreciated that. The day of my wedding she showed up early and had a huge detailed note of everything from the trial. Wedding day I wanted a few changes from the initial trial and she did exactly what I asked for. There isn't one thing I would change about how the makeup went ! Nina is absolutely incredible! She is so nice and easy to work with and will really spend the time that you need at your trial to get everything right. She did a really phenomenal job. We had 12 girls to get through hair and makeup and we ended up being ahead of schedule and everyone loved how their makeup looked! Nina is amazing!! She handled the make up for the entire bridal party and was so sweet and attentive. My make up was perfect all night, despite all the waterworks. I couldn't recommend her more!

Nina did makeup for my August 2018 wedding for me, my 7 bridesmaids, and my mother, and we all looked amazing. My makeup looked super natural (which is what I wanted—to look like myself but better) and lasted all day through multiple bouts of crying (it was the best but also such an emotional day) and same for all my bridesmaids. She and her assistant worked super quickly to get us done as soon as possible and coordinated with our hair person to make sure things kept moving, sometimes pausing and returning to girls or fixing eyelashes or something like that. Nina was also super flexible when my mother flip-flopped on whether she wanted her makeup done and squeezed her in at the last minute, no problem, which I really appreciated. Definitely recommend!

Nina is so so talented! I worked with Nina for my wedding at Normandy Farm in June 2018 and she does the most beautiful work! She finds that perfect balance between looking like yourself with beautiful makeup, but not so much makeup that it looks so caked on and you look like a different person. Nina is so sweet and so knowledgeable at what she does, that I would trust her just walking in, having her look at my face, and just letting her do her thing! I am so glad I went with Nina and Cheekadee makeup for my wedding day! Nina was great to work with! Nina and her assistant traveled to where the bridal party was getting ready to complete our makeup. They got all 8 of us done in 3 hours, while still making sure to take their time. Everyone looked beautiful! I absolutely LOVED how Nina did my makeup! The eyelash extensions made my eyes pop and the light airbrush foundation made my skin flawless. Everything lasted all day and night! Nina is very talented and would highly recommend.

I loved working with the Cheekadee ladies! My makeup was light and natural with just a bit of glam which was exactly what I wanted! They came to my hotel on time and quickly did 13 ladies in less than 5 hours! All my ladies looked gorgeous and i couldn’t be happier!

I used Cheekadee Makeup for my engagement photo shoot and for the wedding. She was recommended to me by my wedding coordinator and I'm so glad we took her advice! Nina did my makeup and she is absolutely phenomenal. I still can't believe that my makeup held up so well throughout the entire night. I LOVE to dance and it gets a little sweaty out there - but my photos still looked perfect all the way until the end of the night! Cheekadee is super responsive via email and lovely to work with!

Hailey was an unbelievable makeup artist for my wedding day. I wish I could have her do my makeup every day. She was incredibly sweet and my makeup turned out absolutely perfect. I was unsure of exactly what I wanted. She helped me through my trial and came up with the perfect look for me. LeeAnn did my make up for my big day and she was nothing short of AMAZING! She understood exactly what I was looking for and made it even better than I imagined. Jo, the event coordinator, was super responsive and helpful in both setting up a trial along with my hair stylist, and with scheduling specific time slots for myself and my bridal party for the morning of. I was especially appreciative of the time Nina took to listen to my concerns with my rosacea and redness on my chest and arms. She worked some magic and made it so I didn’t even have to think about it at all. I felt so beautiful and the makeup lasted through the heat of the day and dancing at night. I was Mother of the Groom recently. Nina Moran did both a trial for preparing for my son's wedding and the make-up on the actual day. What a lovely woman! She is an artist as well. We scaled down the make-up a bit as I was not comfortable with false eyelashes etc. But we tried a few ideas out to see what worked best. But having taken Nina's advice overall, I felt my make-up suited me perfectly. And, after a 7 am application for an 11:30 wedding but a 5 o'clock reception, I didn't even need a touch up. .Nina was on time, calm and efficient. Highly recommend. And the Bride looked gorgeous! As well as the wedding party.

I worked with Nina from Cheekadee and had a wonderful experience. I am not used to wearing much makeup, so it took me a little time after our initial trial to realize that I wanted to make a few changes on the day of. Nina not only listened to exactly what I wanted, she also ran everything by me before putting it on my face. I was so happy with the outcome and impressed with her ability to quickly change our initial plans. I have to also comment on her professionalism, friendliness, and flexibility. My particular venue did not allow me on site until a certain time, and it would have cut deeply into my photographer's timeline. To help me make sure I got ready in time for my photographer, she let me get ready at the studio (which is very close to my venue). For the first hour, I just used the space to do my hair. She let me plop all of my stuff on the counter and use her space as if it were my home (PS, the studio is very comfy and cozy). I had no idea at the time that my good friends were planning on crashing my "getting ready" session, but out of nowhere a group of my very loud and excited friends showed up with trays of food and wine. I felt so bad, but Nina welcomed them in and did not let it distract her one bit. I'm not saying I recommend you invite all of your girlfriends to the studio for your trial or day of, but I tell the story because it's just another way that Nina showed what a very sweet, patient, flexible, and professional person she is. I'll also note that I am Chinese, and had a hard time finding makeup artists that had a reputation for working with Asian clients, as we have particular needs when it comes to eye makeup. Again, I could not be happier with the results.

Nina and Cheekadee are amazing!!! Nina was incredibly accommodating, and dealt so well with my constantly evolving numbers and timelines for my wedding this past August. Nina did my makeup, along with makeup for my mom and 5 bridesmaids at the Hotel Monaco. Everyone looked gorgeous -- radiant, and natural -- and was thrilled with how their makeup turned out. Nina was also such a pleasure to be around throughout the day. She was a calming influence on a day of total craziness! Asia and Nina were my makeup artists for my wedding this past July. They arrived timely and did a fantastic job. They accommodated all members of my party, from fake lashes to full faces they do it all. I would highly recommend their team to any brides in the area.

Some girls wanted the more natural look & others wanted a bit more dramatic look & she nailed them both. HIGHLY recommend!

Wow! Katie Custer and Wesley did an amazing job with 7 bridesmaids, me the bride and my mother. We all had different skin tones and different ideas of what we wanted and they had only met three of us before the day of the wedding. We looked and felt like flawless beauties - and not only did it look great, the makeup stayed on from about 10am - midnight on a hot (80+ degree day). They are also all beyond lovely people and I will be using them again every occasion i can!

This is my second experience with Cheekadee, the first time as a bridesmaid and this time as the bride, and once again I could not be happier! I knew from the start that I was in great hands with Nina, and she did an absolutely amazing job with my trial! From then on, I had no stress or worries about how my wedding day makeup would look because I already knew I'd love it - and all brides out there know how important that is when you're planning a wedding! Less stress is best! Nina and Katie showed up on time (if not earlier) on my wedding day, stayed on schedule, and completed myself + 8 bridesmaids + 2 mothers in a timely manner! On top of all that, both Nina and Katie were so sweet, personable, fun, passionate, and most importantly, incredibly talented! I have never felt more beautiful and all of my girls looked absolutely drop dead gorgeous! It is so important to not only feel beautiful on your wedding day, but to also look great in pictures - and Cheekadee does an amazing job of making both of those things happen! I can't reiterate it enough, Cheekadee is the best! I have been and will be recommending to everyone I know! We are so happy we chose Cheekadee! All of the ladies looked gorgeous and I'm sure the pictures will look fantastic. We worked with Kim, who took her time with everyone and listened to what they wanted. Everyone looked natural but enhanced, which was the look we were going for. They are not cheap, but compared to other makeup artists of their caliber, they are a bargain.

I'm not a big makeup fan and was wary of wearing "too much" makeup on my wedding day. Well, Kim from Cheekadee knows how to make you look like a more glamorous version of yourself--without feeling like someone you're not! From the moment I came in the contact with Cheekadee it has been a wonderful experience. Kim helped me choose the right palette, carefully asking questions and showing me photos. On the actual day, my makeup was incredible. Just perfect. And her cool and calm presence was welcome into our high anxiety room filled with Mom's and Bridesmaids! She did my Mom, my Mother In Law, four bridesmaids, and myself. Each person's makeup was done in their "style" and everyone looked fabulous. I cannot recommend them enough!
