My husband and I got married in August of 2012 in Upstate New York. My parents live in the Washington DC area and were not able to help with the wedding as much as they would have liked. Cheers Event Planning, which is operated by two kind-hearted women were there for me every step of the way. We purchased the full package and they did everything from a vision board/ book to attending appointments with us to setting up the venue. This company also has the basic necessities for rent, such as, lanterns, chair covers, napkins, table cloths, chinese lanterns, vases, and serving ware. My husband and I actually enjoyed the whole wedding process. Instead of being extremely busy up to the second the wedding started, I did not have anything left to do the week prior to the wedding except worry about about friends and family arriving safely. Joanne and Debbie even called around for the best group rate on hotels. During any wedding process, the bride and groom need an advocate, someone who is not apart of the family or wedding party, they advocated for us every step of the way. We are forever grateful that this company listened to our desires and did everything in their power to make our love for each other the "main event". These two women played a pivotal role in the best and most unforgettable day of our lives.
We had several couples approach us following the wedding to ask for suggestions or helpful hints, and we always say that a wedding planner is the way to go! However, if you have the opportunity to work with this company in particular: Jump at the Chance!
This company is amazing!! The wedding planning/consulting team consists of Joanne Dumers and Debbie Morgan. They offer everything from full planning to design help to day-of decorating and coordination. Hiring them was probably the best money we spent on the wedding. While my family, friends, and wedding party was at the rehearsal dinner, Joanne and Debbie were at the reception venue decorating everything for us. They helped seat everyone for dinner, lined up the wedding party for the processional, and handled coordination with all of our wedding vendors. They met with us a handful of times to discuss our vision, hammer out details and helped us come up with some design ideas. They also had a great supply of wedding materials available to rent which cut down on cost and eliminated me having to scour the internet for deals. It also prevented us from having a hundred used candles and twenty lanterns laying around the house after the wedding.
For everything Cheers did for us, they were very affordable and worth every penny! Hire a planner/coordinator; you'll be so glad you did!
