Chef Jeff Catering

I definitely recommend Chef Jeff! We had so many dietary issues and chef Jeff was able to accommodate all of them (gluten free, dairy free, soy free and also a few vegan meals) and the food was absolutely amazing. All the comments we heard from our family and guests were positive. They had good communication and skills. A very good experience overall.

We did two tastings which they were very accommodating for. However, the food we tasted did not really taste like the buffet we had. We did a taco bar with barbacoa and chicken. The barbacoa was not spicy at all and it was suppose to be. We had people who are gluten free due to Celiac and we communicated that with them but they had the corn tortillas and flour tortillas on the same platter. The communication was difficult, the original lady we were communicating with was no longer with the company about 3 weeks before our event. None of the changes we made at our most recent tasting which was a month before the lady was let go was changed on our quote. So we needed to go over all of the changes again with someone new. We did not get the link to pay for the service until the night before our wedding, they did accept our payment after the wedding because we were clearly busy getting other things ready. Their set up and take down went smoothly. They buffet was set up on the dance floor and they were able to quickly set up and take down. They also did a nice job of clearing of the plates and napkins efficiently. They were in transition, which is understandable and it happens, but overall I wouldn't recommend them for a large catering event such as a wedding. Maybe a smaller event would be better for them.

Chef Jeff and his team are fabulous! We booked a tasting with Cheff Jeff while preparing for our wedding. We got to try each item that we were interested in, and each exceded our expectations. Presentation was charming and the taste was top notch with a scrach cooked feel; we knew we needed Chef Jeff at our wedding. We were equally taken by their story and how they give back to the Minneapolis community. It was clear that Cheff Jeff is passionate about he does and it was apparentboth in conversation and in the food. Going home with some for later was a great touch. We look forward to knowing that our guests will enjoy a tasty and filling meal at our heavy appitiser cocktail wedding this summer -- at an affordable rate! I highly recommend Chef Jeff to all brides!

He is such a wonderful cater. Very pretty presentation of food. The food was not quite as good as it was when we tested it but still good. It was a very hot day so I think it was a little hard for them to keep it right. We are very happy.
