Chef Joes Catering is known as the best in town and their food and service consistently meet those expectations. For our wedding this past September at Toad Hill Farm they developed a custom menu that featured Portuguese staples to honor the communities my husband and I grew up in. As we were developing the menu, Mora and her team did all of the work. We gave high level direction on the type of food and she came up with a wide range of options for us to choose from. The food knocked the socks off our guests. We got numerous comments from guests that this was the best event food they had ever had. Chef Joes was a big part of making the evening a success and we’re so grateful that we got to work with them. We can’t wait to come up with another reason to hire them!

Chef Joe's created a custom, all vegan menu for our summer wedding. All the guests loved it and were raving about it, even the ones who were skeptical about vegan food! I still dream about those appetizers. Their serving staff was wonderful as well. We're so happy to have gotten to work with them. Many caterers said "no" or "uhhh...I guess?" when we inquired about all vegan food. Chef Joe's said "yes, of course!" even though it's not a specialty they utilize in their restaurant. Chef Joe is just that talented and his skills are that versatile! Thanks, Chef Joe!

The food at our wedding was amazing! We had the BBQ buffet and many of our guests told us how delicious everything was. I worked with Mora mostly. She’d respond to an email a day or two later and that was fine with me. Always happy to answer questions and friendly. She even reached out the week of the wedding to check in and see if I had any questions and say some kind words. That really meant a lot to me. We even had a meal in their bistro to taste the food. Amazing. I’m so glad we chose Chef Joe! Everything went very smoothly day of and I was confident that I didn’t need to worry about the food at all.

Chef Joe's was fantastic! They were able to create a fully custom Mediterranean menu based on a few items we really wanted included and it was exactly what we wanted! They were extremely professional to work with, responded to all email requests and the day of handled our event perfectly! I would definitely hire Chef Joe's again for any catering or beverage needs!

We did a bbq buffet and were so pleased with how everything went for our wedding! We only heard good things from our guests about the food, and we thought everything was delicious as well! Chef Joe's staff were so great with communication and did a great job executing what we asked for. Overall, we are beyond pleased with the service from Chef Joe's.

Chef Joe's did an incredible job with our wedding. We got married at Bellevue Barn, which presented some challenges to them. Chef Joe and his staff strongly recommended a buffet, instead of our initial request of a plated meal, based on the limited space in the venue's kitchen. We went with their professional opinion and couldn't have been happier. All the food was incredible and the line moved through the buffet very smoothly and quickly. They're responsive and they'll work with you on pretty much any vision you have for the menu. On top of the quality of the food, their expertise in logistics played a big part in the quality of the meals and our guests enjoyment of their dinners. They also gave us a very romantic dinner at their winter bistro to try out their food which was so fun and delicious!

Chef Joe's was a huge hit at our wedding!!! We found Nancy to be really easy and enjoyable to work with! She can be a bit slow to reply to emails but if you call her you can always get ahold of her! Our guests loved our food & so did we!! We did buffet stations and had a huge variety! Nancy helped us do a great job of planning for cocktail hour & the dinner by incorporating a lot of seasonal flavors! We also did a late night snack of quesadillas and empanadas that everyone LOVED!!!! The staff from Chef Joe's was awesome! They did such a good job and made sure to find me and the groom throughout cocktail hour/pictures to make sure we were fed as well :) Would definitely recommend for anyone getting married in the New England area!

Food was great. Everyone raved about the appetizers and the BBQ buffet was a hit. It was also great that they had been to the venue before and knew exactly what to do. However, after the initial correspondence our contact was not easily to get a hold of. All things went well but felt like we were in the dark and betting on hope that things would fall into place.

We hired Chef Joe's to cater our outdoor tented wedding. The food was fantastic! We received compliments from many guests that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding! We had many dietary restrictions and they were very accomodating tailoring the menu to those needs.

We recently hired Chef Joe's to cater our 160 person wedding. Nancy and Joe were a pleasure to work with and their food was incredible. Their service was also flawless and went far beyond what we were expecting. Our guests really enjoyed the forbidden city rice stuffed bell peppers, gluten free Asian noodle salad, Korean BBQ skewers, jalapeno cornbread ... it was all scrumptious. But the best part about Chef Joes Catering is working with Nancy and Joe. They are just good people, very patient with wedding newbies who knew nothing about event planning. They worked with us on pricing and helped us find a way to incorporate our favorite dishes into a cohesive wedding buffet that could satisfy all kinds of dietary restrictions.

Chef Joe's made picking a wedding carter easier than you could ever imagine! Nancy was there to help from day 1 and was constantly in contact to make sure we were both on the same page up until day of. They let us create basically our own wedding menu, we literally picked exactly what we wanted and they made it happen, even if it wasn't on their catering menu! That is exactly what any bride wants in a caterer for their special day! Their food is perfection, delivery was flawless, the staff were SUPER helpful and had great attitudes! My husband and I didn't find time to eat our first or second courses, the staff came up to us every few minutes to remind us to eat, and when they realized we didn't get to eat our entree they wrapped it up to-go and we ate it when we got home that night! They were seriously the most helpful staff and I could not have gotten through my wedding day without them! We are beyond happy we went with Chef Joe's, #1 caterer in the region!

Chef Joe and Nancy really outdid themselves with our wedding and rehearsal dinner. It was a pleasure to get to know them both and their team. Leading up to the wedding, we knew we would be in good hands - from the personal reviews/recommendations from friends and also the lovely Mother's Day Brunch we ate at their Bistro. Nancy was a pleasure to work with via email & phone - helping us continue to tailor the menu after our initial meeting and also making last min changes when we realized a substantial number of our guests are vegetarian. During our wedding, Chef Christina led the charge and did an amazing job - every little thing from presentation to food quality was perfect. The team even gave us a special plate of oysters when they realized my husband & I spent the cocktail reception chatting instead of eating! The timing was flawless and everything was perfectly set up when needed (which is no easy feat during weddings). The food was absolutely delicious. We got so many compliments for best wedding food & best vegetarian options at a wedding. Several of our guests - at least 20% went up for seconds and thirds. Do not underestimate the prime rib. We had plenty of food left over at the end of the night. Chef Joe & Nancy did a great job making sure there was enough for all. The salmon was also perfect. Several folks told us it was the best salmon they've ever had. The groom's brother/best man hates fish and he even said the salmon was amazing! The wait staff and Chef Christina were truly wonderful to work with and so kind and helpful throughout the night. I would even say they were too efficient in clearing items. We had antique cutlery for the "pie cutting" and they made sure our knife and forks were properly cleaned and correctly placed with our belongings by the end of the reception. Never did I have to worry about my items getting misplaced/lost. I would highly recommend Chef Joe's for your wedding. This team is professional and kind and they will make your guests so happy!

Chef Joe's catered our backyard wedding of 200 guests a few weeks ago and people are still talking about the food! We had SUCH a great experience working with Chef Joe and his wife Nancy. At the last minute, after our caterer fell through, they were able to do our event and exceeded all expectations. The food was beyond delicious, we had SO many different options on the buffet, the servers were professional and very helpful- everything was perfect!! Nancy was also very responsive by email, came to the house to do a walk through a few weeks before the wedding, and was all around super helpful and efficient. I had a great experience working with her. I can't recommend Chef Joe's Catering enough!!!

All I can say is....AMAZING!!!! Joe and Nancy did an amazing job. They personalized our menu and worked with us to create the ideal menu that represented ourselves and our guests. They took the time to work closely with us to help us understand exactly how the night was going to be laid out. Me and my husband could not be happier with the food, service and communication. They were always there to answer our questions. We love Chef Joe's catering and highly recommend them to any bride to be. Thank you Joe and Nancy!

We LOVED our chef joes food! We had them do a cheese, cracker, and fruit tray for our cocktail hour that was SO beautiful, and then we got the barbecue menu buffet style for our wedding reception and it was SO yummy!!! People couldn't get enough and I think everyone went back for seconds :) The staff was extremely friendly. YES, I will reiterate what other people are saying, Nancy was not always the easiest/quickest to communicate with, but she always met our needs and in person she is absolutely wonderful and so friendly (which doesn't always translate over the phone). We were invited to their bistro to see how their staff runs a business and we got to have a meal on them to meet Chef Joe, Nancy, and the rest of their team. While we didn't eat any of the food we'd actually be having at our wedding, we very much understood it was all going to be delicious and beautifully presented since everything we had at the bistro was outstanding. I really would highly recommend them.

Chef Joe’s catered our rehearsal dinner and our wedding and both meals were delicious. My husband and I loved how enthusiastic Nancy and Joe were when we met with them to talk about our wedding menu. Chef Joe’s focuses on using local ingredients and we loved how he customized our menu to our backgrounds, for example… My husband grew up on the cape so for one of our appetizers Joe created a delicious cod cake, it was a big hit! For the rehearsal dinner they delivered our BBQ menu to the rehearsal location, set up everything and then came back later that night to collect their items. Everyone loved the food, especially the pulled pork which was a huge hit! For our wedding, the food was served hot and fresh. Multiple wedding guests have since commented on how excellent the food was. We thought that the price was great for the high quality food the Chef Joe’s delivered.

Chef Joe's catered our daughter's wedding. Chef Joe's wife Nancy handles the business end of things. It was a difficult 2 weeks of calling, emailing and actually going to their facility before we were able to get a contract in place. Chef Joe's wife Nancy was very challenging to do business with to say the least. She is difficult to contact and when you do actually reach her, she is unfriendly and visibly annoyed by her own customers. They arrived late to the wedding and when I stated to Nancy that I had left a message on her cell phone to confirm they were still coming, she was a bit abrasive and asked why did I call. Most of the wedding guests were already at the venue as well as the bride. The ceremony was about to begin. The food was pretty good, but the presentation was lacking. The crudite appetizer spread was much smaller than the picture we were shown with a lot of items missing. They served it with very cheap cocktail napkins and not enough forks for all the guests. When we requested additional napkins and forks, Nancy was visibly annoyed and unapologetic. The prime rib buffet had a small prime rib hand carved by their staff, but the quality wasn't that great. The rest of the buffet was served in disposable aluminum trays that were not heated. The presentation was not special at all. The coffee service was a small coffee urn with paper cups. Again, not a great presentation for a wedding . I wouldn't hire Chef Joe's catering again for a special event like a wedding. Nancy is a challenge to do business with and seems to really hate her job. We spent thousands of dollars on this event and Nancy made this special day a bit stressful.

Chef Joe's catered our reception and we also did our rehearsal dinner at their bistro in Franconia. For both occasions, the food was really delicious and the value was fantastic, particularly for the reception. During the planning process, Chef Joe's was often a bit difficult to communicate with and we found them somewhat unfriendly at times even during the wedding weekend. However, if you are willing to put up with some annoying communications issues, Chef Joe's might still be worth it for the quality and value of the food.

All we can say is AMAZING! Chef Joe, Nancy and their staff helped create the most memorable wedding for our daughter and son-in-law! The food was fabulous from hors d'oeuvres to dinner! We even had a BBQ with them for the next day. Everyone raved about all of the food! They really hit the ball out of the park! We had a problem with the tent that we rented for them, and they worked out of their truck which was a distance to the wedding tent and made their job more complicated. Nancy assured us that she would take care of everything and she did! Chef Joe's experience dealing with prewedding stress helped diffuse a potential problem the day of the wedding. Thank you, Joe! They helped to make the day worry free so that not only the guests enjoyed themselves, but the bride, groom and both sets of parents did as well! I also want to say that our budget was not large and they not only created a delicious dinner, but they treated us as though no expense was spared! Thank you, thank you, thank you Chef Joe and Nancy!

Joe and Nancy are wonderful to work. Joe is creative and pairs food wonderfully - he's also a great man and you'll never forget his laugh. Nancy is a huge help in planning and putting things together. She's great to just chat with as well while in the planning phases. All of the Food is wonderful. They did our rehearsal dinner, reception, and farewell brunch and we were overjoyed with everything we ate.

Chef Joe and Nancy were a delight to work with! We can't thank them enough for the AMAZING food at our wedding. We wanted a stations wedding, which isn't very common in the area, but they made it easy and brought our home favorites into finger foods. Our guests were and still our complimenting our food! They cater all over and are so worth it!! SPECTACULAR FOOD!!!

The food was great but they were not very friendly...

Chef Joe is a wonderful character, and the food is absolutely delicious. They are very easy to work with and certainly go out of their way for you. They made a family favorite pasta dish in place of a fish to keep our costs down and didn't charge any extra to take care of cutting/serving the cake we had brought ourselves. My only complaint is that Chef Joe wasn't at some of our event as there as another wedding going on, but he did make an appearance and the food was delicious none the less. His wife, Nancy, was at the whole thing but isn't as friendly as he is. They also said we could take leftovers home, but we didn't have a chance before it was all cleared away. Still, I would definitely recommend him for any event. The food is really delicious and something different, doesn't have that manufactured taste like most catering food.
