Amazing vendor!! We received so many compliments on the food and the professionalism of the staff. Alicia was such a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process. She even stepped in when my wedding planner wasn’t doing a great job and made sure everything ran smoothly.

Chef’s Expressions is by far the best caterer we could have chosen for our wedding. All appetizers and entrees we tried during multiple complimentary tastings were absolutely delicious. Sarah went out of her way to order many different linen samples for us to play around with during one of our tastings. She also provided us with all plate options, so we could see our vision in person before the wedding. Alicia was our wedding producer, and she coordinated food service flawlessly! She, along with our planner, provided us with a sampler plate of every appetizer that my husband and I could enjoy in private before walking into the reception and returning back to the guests. All food was absolutely delicious, hot, and fresh! Better than any large quantity food that I have ever had, and each dish tasted like restaurant quality. We also had a few guests with tough allergies, and Alicia went out of her way to meet with each of these guests, tell them what they could and couldn’t have, and ensured all meals served to them were safe for them. We were blown away in all regards by Chef’s Expressions and would recommend them every time!!

Our venue recommended Chef's Expressions for our wedding and we could not have chosen a better caterer! Sarah was a delight and dream to work with-she was super down to earth, knowledgeable, friendly, organized and just the best. I really can't say enough wonderful things about Sarah-she went above and beyond what I would have expected for a caterer and doubled as wedding planner. The food was also DELICIOUS and got multiple compliments from our wedding guests. Sarah and the Chef’s Expression team were so attentive to my husband and I throughout the day, in addition to our family, and always made sure we had delicious food on our plate or tasty drink in our hands. The Chef’s Expressions team were very accommodating and conscious when dealing with allergy and dietary restrictions as well. Would definitely recommend Chef’s Expressions to any friends and family!

I cannot advise this strongly enough: DO NOT use Chef’s Expressions to cater your wedding. I will summarize my experience without involving the extremely negative emotions I dealt with: -Did not provide adequate staff or appetizers to cater to the amount of guests at our wedding -We made a specific list of brands of alcohol we preferred (and paid for those brands) but the company did not provide (Coors light instead of Bud Light, Tito’s instead of Grey Goose; it almost seemed like they just brought whatever they had in stock) and they ran out of alcohol at our wedding -Missing several services that were outlined (and paid for) in contract -Double-booked their “wedding planner,” Meghan, the same day for another wedding (she attended mine but I later read the review from the wedding on the same day stating that she was not available to coordinate anything for their wedding after promised) This is a short list of everything that went wrong in working with this company. They overcharged and under-provided to the embarrassing point that our guests noticed. The owner promised us a check in the mail to reimburse for the services that were not provided; the check bounced. He asked that I did not leave a bad review if he sent another check... and as you can see me leaving this review, I am sure you have guessed that he never sent that check. My husband and I still (two years later) talk about how our wedding was perfect in every way except for the awfully disappointing catering service.

Jerry and his staff at Chef's Expressions were nothing short of exemplary. We felt supported every step of our wedding planning. On the day of our wedding, they were professional and accommodating. We received countless compliments stating that this was the best food and experience our guests ever had at a wedding. We would recommend them without reservation! You will not be disappointed.

The food from Chef's Expressions is unrivaled in flavor as well as presentation, but equally importantly, the staff are so pleasant and professional. They ensured guests were always comfortable and never in want of food or drink.

The food was amazing!! My husband is French and very oppionated about food, he was not able to make it to the tasting. He has said that was know at least one thing was perfect about our wedding, the food! The main dishes were terrific and the cake was outstanding. They really went above and beyond on the cake to make our vision come to life. While there was a little mix up on timing, Alex our coordinator was simply amazing! He had everything running so smoothly. We gave him some last minute tasks before going to the ceremony and he got them done better than excpected. They really made our fairytale come to life without either of us worrying. The wait staff was wonderful and kind making sure everything was set and everyone had every thing they needed. They even helped at the end of the night move tables when the skies decide to open up. Prior to the big day, Bonny was a pleasure to work with. She saved the day when our rental place told us they could not get our chairs just about a week before the wedding. We ended up getting exactly what we wanted at a better price. Chef’s Expressions was simply phenomenonal through the whole experience.

The first call we had with David, he wanted to know about US and what we liked, disliked, favorite restaurants, etc. This wasn't just a catering company trying to sell us on their cookie-cutter menu. We were able to craft a personalized menu together with David that represented who Justin and I are as a couple. We knew we had chosen a great caterer right from the start. From there, David extended an invite for us to see first hand how their service was in person without even locking them in yet. We were blown away by the professionalism, timeliness (this was a 7-course dinner), and presentation from this event. Leading up to our wedding, David answered any questions we had and really bought into the whole vision of our wedding, even offering advice outside of the food. He made sure we had all of our bases covered, from decorations, to timeline, to setup/cleanup crew so I wouldn't have to worry about a thing on my big day. Chef's Expressions brought their A game to our wedding and not only made sure the food was delicious and ready to go for our guests, but helped tweak last minute decoration adjustments. Who else can say their caterer did that?? David and crew were professional, available, and approachable! The biggest hit was the bacon bucket which went immediately every time a new one was brought out during cocktail hour. My only regret from that night is not taking time to enjoy more of the food. Those stuffed shells were incredible. Our guests raved about the food and we will forever be grateful to David and staff for all of their hard work and dedication towards our dream wedding. We used Chef's Expressions for our wedding this past weekend and I cannot recommend them enough! Our main coordinator - Megan - was fabulous!! Everything looked amazing, all our guests commented on the food and presentation. Their staff were so nice, professional and on top of everything. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them. If you are needing a catering company I absolutely encourage you to go with this company!

I had the pleasure of working with Alex and Megan for a recent event. With just an email exchange, they were able to design a menu with plattered and plated items, as well as specialty cocktails, that were the perfect compliment to the day's theme. The food was not only delicious, but also beautiful to look at!

From my first tasting, to our wedding day Bonny and Alicia were amazing!! Their exceptional customer service and responsiveness won me over as a client. The food was amazing and all of my guests raved about the food and CAKE. Ahh yes! The cake was out of this world! The serving staff were knowledgeable and professional with our guests. Guests of our wedding are still raving to me about how much they loved the appetizers and meals at our wedding several weeks ago! Bonny and Alicia were super easy to work with - from food choices to ordering special chairs for my grandparents for the reception to last minute seating changes - and are a huge reason our day went as smoothly as it did!

Chef's Expressions was a joy to work with. From our first contact with them, to our consultation, tasting, and subsequent meetings, I felt that Bonnie was invested in making our wedding a success. We were married at a venue that only allowed a few caterers (Gramercy Mansion), so Bonnie works there all the time and knows it inside and out. We relied so heavily on her wealth of experience and insight to help guide us into making good choices. Because she works so closely with Gramercy and knew most of our other vendors (in fact we picked our DJ based on her recommendations), Chef's Expressions almost acted as the coordinator for us. Our food was wonderful. Everything was delicious. We got so many comments from our guests about how much they liked it--especially the butternut squash ravioli. We had loved the food at our tasting but were afraid that they would not be able to sustain the same quality when cooking for 120 people, but our fears were happily unfounded. Chef's Expressions allowed us to supply our own alcohol, so we brought all the wine, beer, and liquor (they supplied mixers). Although it was a lot of trouble on our part, Chef's was so helpful and accommodating with this. Our only quip is that one of the six passed hors d'ouvres seemed to be in short supply (I don't think my husband or I tried any, but other guests say it was there). For everything else, the quantity was perfect.

Bonny, Alicia and the team at Chef's Expressions were absolutely fabulous to work with! Our guests raved about the food. The crab spoons and grilled cheese with tomato soup appetizers were crowd pleasers! The black angus and chicken roulade entrees were delectable. Alicia coordinated the event with our DJ, AJ Smith, so that everything went seamlessly. We refer to them as the Dream Team! They truly made my wedding at the Gramercy Mansion the best day of my life!

Chef's Expressions, particularly Bonny and Alicia, provided wonderful service at our wedding! I was impressed at how efficient everything was and how often people came to check on us. Everyone loved the food, particularly the hors d'ouevres! Bonny was very responsive to my phone calls and emails, and she did so much to make everything run smoothly.It was pricey, but worth the money. Thank you again for an amazing wedding!

Chef's Expressions is so much more than just a caterer. From our tasting where Chef John personally tailored our menu to my husband's and my sophisticated palate to executing the menu at the wedding perfectly. We couldn't have been happier with the food. The hors d'oeuvres were fabulous and the sea bass and fillet cooked to perfection. My husband and I had our own personal server that ensured we were able to eat (or box up everything) so I actually got to enjoy the food at my own wedding! Bonny was our coordinator and she was absolutely amazing. She covered every single detail and kept things perfectly organized. Even when there was a small mix up with table numbers right before guests entered the reception, she was on it in a flash and resolved the issue quickly and efficiently. Chef’s truly helped to make my wedding exactly what I wanted it to be and I would definitely use them again!
