Lisa made sure everything was perfect leading up to the big day and they both ensured I didn’t have to worry about anything the day of! Most importantly they ensure YOUR vision is carried out! I HIGHLY recommend Cherish The Day for all Iowa weddings!

When my daughter got engaged, we were feeling overwhelmed with the prospect of wedding planning. We found Lisa & Cherish the Day online, read all the great reviews and contacted her. She was prompt in returning our inquiry and very friendly and professional in an online consultation and we decided on her quickly as our wedding planner/coordinator. A wonderful decision! Lisa is very attentive to detail, knowledgeable about the wedding industry & vendors in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area, and had even worked weddings at our venue (Hotel Millwright in Amana) so knew the property and staff there (which was extremely helpful). She met with the bride & groom in person & online and was very attentive to emails/texts from them and me. She helped keep my daughter accountable for each step in the planning process so they didn't get behind in planning and kept in touch with our vendors and on top of our contract details. She brings many ideas to the table from weddings she's been part of in the past but also mainly wants to help execute the day to include your dreams and desires. One of the best things was the TIMELINE she put together to give to the wedding party to keep everyone on the same page and things running smoothly for makeup, hair, pictures, etc, on the wedding day. Lisa did a super job running the rehearsal and on the wedding day, she and her husband, Scott, were incredible - keeping things on time and they were ready to help with whatever issues came up with a smile. Lisa is able to take charge gracefully so you can relax and enjoy the day. She also brought an awesome bag of emergency items that was very helpful. We received many comments from the wedding party, family and guests about how smooth and non-stressful the wedding felt which was due to Lisa & Cherish the Day! My son has been in multiple weddings lately and said none were as well planned & executed as this one. I consider Lisa & Scott friends and would HIGHLY recommend Cherish the Day to anyone - they helped create a storybook wedding for my daughter and son-in-law!

We could not have done it without Lisa! We connected to late in the process for their coordinating services. We were absolutely blown away by how thorough her coordinating skills were, especially with the vendors, allowing our family and us to actually enjoy the day! A lot of things happened last minute, our point of contact at the venue was replaced a week before the wedding and the musicians we had hired were no longer willing to play. Lisa diligently navigated everyone through with absolutely ideal results. I struggle to relax in situations like this, and have extremely high standards. Lisa not only met my standards, she exceeded them, all while making me fell so taken care of and special! Our wedding could not have gone more smoothly. She valued what was important to us and showed that through her execution of every aspect. Our wedding day was beyond perfect, and we have Lisa to thank for that!

We highly recommend Cherish the Day for wedding planning and coordinating needs! We used Lisa for day of coordinating and it was so helpful. Incredible experience with Lisa at Cherish The Day. I lived two states over and needed someone who knew the local area for my daughter’s wedding. Lisa was so knowledgeable about vendors, timetables, troubleshooting, etc. Easy to communicate with, responded quickly to all questions. She even chased down vendors when they wouldn’t get back to us. She was a liaison with church personnel at the rehearsal and made sure the wedding day was smooth. What a relief as the MOB not to have to think about issues. When she noticed the “picture booth” had no back ground, she suggested we take the arch/greenery/signage behind the head table to the area after dinner. It was perfect!! Lisa had a portable kit with her for any troubleshooting and she kept an eye on things at the reception. Reasonably priced but worth more! Lisa gets the highest recommendation from our family.

I was looking for someone to essentially "take over the day" with decisions and problem-solving. We had been extensively involved with much of the planning but on the wedding day I wanted to be on auto-pilot and just enjoy the day as my son married the girl of his dreams. Lisa allowed me to do just that. She even reminded me that was what her purpose was that day. I truly did "cherish the day" and am so glad that we were able to have Lisa and her assistant/husband help us with this. During the planning process, Lisa was very receptive and speedy in her responses to my questions/ideas. Her wealth of knowledge about what is needed to plan a successful wedding is very different than when I was married over 35 years ago and I appreciated her expertise.

We could not recommend Cherish the Day enough!! I’ve been raving to anyone who asks—and even those who don’t—about working with Lisa. I initially started looking for “Day Of” coordinators when Lisa presented her “Month Of” package. It was the perfect amount of help for someone who was willing to do all of the legwork of finding and selecting vendors and just wanted assistance with the communication and execution once it was closer to the wedding date. We met with Lisa over a year before the wedding just so we could talk about our vision for our wedding and to see what areas we might need help in. She gave vendor recommendations when needed and made sure I had checklists to stay on track with booking everything. With her experience, she asked us questions about things we didn’t even realize we need to consider and gave suggestions if we were struggling. The best part was that she handled all of the vendor communication in the month leading up to the wedding, and she built the most detailed timeline for us (bridal party and vendors) to follow. My goal was to have someone that any and all questions could be directed to so that I didn’t have to add any stress—Lisa was that person and so, so much more. Both Lisa and her assistant (there on the day of) are amazing to work with—so personal and professional at the same time and there every step of the day. Cherish the Day is truly one of the best investments we made for our wedding!!

My overall experience with Cherish the Day was amazing, and their name stood true to that as I was truly able to Cherish the Day due to Lisa and her Husband. Lisa was in our corner from booking through the day of. She kept in contact with us every few months to ensure the planning process was moving along and often asked if we needed assistance. Leading up to our wedding day, Lisa coordinated with all vendors, ensured they were aligned on arrival times and contract fulfillment. Lisa even created a day of timeline that helped our vendors, family and friends know what to expect for rehearsal and wedding day. On the day of our wedding, Lisa keep everyone calm and in order throughout the day. She was a huge part in ensuring we stayed on schedule for the photographer, the ceremony, and reception. She brought kindness and a relaxing environment to not only the bride and groom but also the bridal party, who often complimented her services. Lisa and her Husband were also key in making sure the bride and groom took private moments for themselves, were properly feed and hydrated, and remained calm & relaxed. I would highly recommend Cherish the Day services to anyone getting married, and looking for a day of coordinator. We debated getting a planner and coordinator but went with just the coordinator and it was perfect for our budget and needs. Their services are extremely affordable and worthy of all the praise.

Lisa and her husband were absolutely amazing! I am so glad I had her for my wedding. She organized everything from vendors to the wedding party, helped set up, and literally got me anything I wanted and needed. Lisa and her husband were so sweet and even babysat our two yorkies most of the day while photos were being taken. No task was too big or small and I really appreciate everything they did. I would highly recommend her services because it took a huge weight of my shoulders.

I cannot say enough good things about Lisa. My husband and I have agreed that having Lisa as our day of coordinator was the single best investment we made for our wedding day. Everything we could have asked for, Lisa Syring delivered. She was comprehensive! Helped us manage our logistics and (maybe even more importantly!) our emotions ahead of our wedding. She was there for us all day on our big day and was a gentle yet firm hand when needed to move things along. After my daughter got engaged, I started a binder to organize all the contracts and details. Not too long after, we hired Lisa to coordinate the day-of, and I realized quickly that I no longer had to manage that binder. Lisa was always on top of everything and organized the details, including all those I would have never thought of myself. She was always professional, sweet and patient, and she made the process fun. We are so thankful for all that Lisa and Scott did to make our day so special. From day one, Lisa was all over each and every detail surrounding our wedding. She noticed important items in contracts that we had missed and brought them to our attention. My husband and I got married last fall on October 23rd and could not of done it without Lisa. At first I was hesitant about if we needed a planner but after our first talk with Lisa I realized 100% we did. Lisa handles everything for you to help make your day run as smoothly as possible for you. She handled any issue we had with vendors, helped answer all hundred of my questions throughout, and was always there to help us advert any crisis. She is professional, kind, fun to work with, and very good at what she does. She gave us check lists which let us know what we needed to do and when throughout and she helped us think of all the little things you forget (trust me there’s a lot), down to every detail. She ran our rehearsal which I never would’ve known how to and made sure our wedding day stayed right on track. She is like your wedding manager and keeps everyone in line. I can not say enough good things about Lisa. If you are questioning if you should hire her, this is your sign. Don’t walk, run! We are so thankful we found Lisa and that she was such a huge part of our special day.

Holy cow, I don't know what I'd have done without her. Besides making me feel she had about all the details covered for the stressful weeks before the wedding, she was my rock at the wedding. Words can not describe just how amazing Lisa was on our wedding day! I myself am a stickler for timelines and nothing makes me crazier than when things don’t run on time. I knew after our first initial Zoom call that Lisa was someone I could trust to keep the entire day running on track. Of course I couldn’t help myself and questioned things on our wedding day, but every time I asked Lisa a question she was two steps ahead of me and had it all taken care of! I can honestly say that I was not stressed at all the day of our wedding! I also received multiple compliments following the big day (from our officiant and my mother-in-law) on how wonderful Lisa was! I think the exact words were ‘your wedding planner was a BOSS’. We had a large farm wedding that had many moving parts and not easy to navigate. Lisa did such a good job of communicating with everyone, orchestrating the rehearsal and keeping everything moving despite many obstacles the day of our wedding. It went off without a hitch because of her and she was simply amazing on the day of the wedding. Calm, fun personality, organized, decisive..I could go on and on. I am a wedding photographer so am used to working with many wedding vendors and she is one of the best vendors I have ever worked with. I recommend her to all of my clients looking for a planner. If you want someone that will go above and beyond and stay happy and fun-look no further!!

Lisa really stepped up when our original planner couldn't be there on the date of our wedding, but you would have thought she was planning with us the whole time! She was so thoughtful and a calming presence for me, while making sure everyone else was where they needed to be and doing what they needed to do! If anything did go wrong that day, she made sure that it was not my problem. Her husband Scott even served as engineering for a light display issue and security for some wedding crashers. Lisa and Scott are AMAZING!!!! We were planning a wedding in my hometown in iowa from out of state. We found Lisa, and thank God!!! If you are looking for a wedding planner or day of coordinator, look no further! Lisa is absolutely amazing. We had met with other wedding coordinators before picking Cherish the Day, however, we ultimately picked them because we knew Lisa would listen to what we wanted while also providing her input. We hired her for day of coordination and let me tell you, she did so much more than that. She frequently checked in with us in the year and months leading up to the wedding. Whenever we hit a problem planning she was there to help offer suggestions to find a solution. She was an essential part of our day, weekend, and planning process. When things came up on our wedding day that were unexpected and out of our control we knew we didn't have to worry. Lisa was there to take care of it. She was also a pleasure to work with and her husband was the perfect assistant! They make a great team! Lisa genuinely cares about every couple and helping them have amazing memories to look back on from their perfect day. She is there to make your day stress free so you can truly cherish it!

I would consider Cherish the Day as a necessary investment if you are not as organized and are a new bride. I only give Cherish the Day 4/5 stars because of the plan I chose, I did most of the planning while my planner guided me through every step of the way. Lisa was very helpful, reliable and a reassuring presence on the day of our wedding. She was pushy when necessary, respectfully, and she always made sure that whatever decision we made was what we wanted and she made it happen. When we were looking for a wedding planner we were looking for one that was within our budget and was amiable enough to feel comfortable to be around. We found that in Lisa and we could not have asked for a better wedding planner. Cherish the Day made sure that everyone knew what they were doing, where they were going, and what their role was. Lisa met made sure everything was smooth and worry free. I don't recall being worried about anything and just enjoying our wedding and having fun. Lisa (Cherish the Day) was my wedding planner, and let me tell you..you need one!! She took care of every single detail that you could think of! She was exceptionally organized and had everything under control for us. She coordinated with vendors, made phone calls, went to numerous meetings with us, and so much more. And that was just before the wedding. On wedding day, she was literally our backbone. She made sure everything was done, the timeline was perfect, people were lined up, etc. All I had to do was relax and have fun. She went above and beyond for us and we were SO grateful to have her.

We booked with Lisa prior to COVID with the desire to let our day be as stress free as possible for us. Then COVID happened and we couldn't have been more lucky to have Lisa by our side working with us and our vendors as we navigating through the process of trying to have a wedding in the middle of the pandemic. Lisa was very supportive and helpful throughout the process. From checklists that made us aware of things we would've never thought of, to detailed timelines that kept our vendors and bridal party aware of what was happening and where on the day of the event; it felt like she truly had our backs when it came to ensuring both our guests and we had fun. I went into booking this wedding coordinator thing with the goal of doing it to keep my fiance happy. After going through it - Lisa was the reason I kept my sanity. High recommended. Thank you Lisa!

Lisa was awesome! She took charge of the rehearsal, the photo session, and the wedding. She kept in contact with all vendors, calmed anxieties, stuck to a schedule, and the bride had no worries. Simply put, don't have your wedding without Lisa! My wife and I interviewed quite a few planners to help with our big day but it was clear that we wanted to work with Lisa as soon as we spoke with her. Not to mention the fact that she is reasonably priced, the work she (and her team) team do is outstanding!! Once we agreed to work with Lisa, we met a few times to go over what had already been planned and where we needed help. She took over from there and handled every detail big and small that needed attention. In addition to helping us put together a timeline for the entire weekend (down to the minute as we're two type A people :) ) she made sure everything flowed seamlessly by working with our vendors. She called all of them (floral, venues, DJ, bus, etc.) to make sure everyone was on the same page and knew when to be where on the wedding day. My wife and I planned on SOMETHING going wrong on the big day because something always goes wrong, right? Not with Lisa! The entire day went off without a hitch, it was all perfect! Finally, I'll add that we enjoyed working with Lisa (and her AWESOME husband Scott) not only because of the great work they do but because they are great people. We were able to relate to them so easily and were entirely comfortable around them. It made our entire day all that much more stress free and enjoyable! IF YOU HIRE A PLANNER, HIRE CHERISH THE DAY!!

It's entirely possible that we never would have had a proper wedding without Lisa! We're both very busy with work, tend toward procrastination, and were overwhelmed with the complexity of wedding planning. But Lisa kept us on track, helped us with every important decision, and sent us timelines for every stage of wedding planning. But then the day of the wedding arrived, and Lisa was even MORE critical! She could not have been more helpful. She kept the entire day moving and allowed us to just experience the day without ever having to be responsible for any logistics or scheduling. The day was magical and it really would not have been what it was without Lisa (seriously, if it weren't for her we probably would have given up during the planning process and eloped!). Overall, Lisa is cheerful, organized, funny, and her services are crucial to making a beautiful wedding happen. Thank you, Lisa!

I'll keep this short, but do know, I could write a novel about how absolutely amazing Lisa is. Lisa is very organized, professional, tactful, on point, and truly there for your special day every step of the way. My wife and I were a little skeptical at first in hiring a wedding coordinator, but Lisa met and exceeded our expectations. Our whole wedding day was a breeze and happened without incident because of Lisa. She is constantly looking for ways in which she can help, and takes direction very well. I had the privilege of working with Lisa at a wedding at Walker Homestead! She was professional and very friendly! Awesome communication before the event, during and after! I truly feel like Lisa went above and beyond her duties and was helpful to only to the bride and groom but also to me! I even expressed concern over not being able to find the arch I wanted and she had her husband MAKE me one so I could have the perfect arch. She was my support so many times and she always had a positive attitude! While everyone was getting their makeup done and dresses on, Lisa was running around making sure my centerpieces were just the way I wanted. She worked with all my vendors to make sure everything was as perfect as I wanted it to be and she came up with so many ideas that just took my wedding to the next level. She relieved so much stress and anxiety for our day so that my husband and I could just sit back and enjoy.

Lisa is an absolute life-saver! I spent a year plus planning but Lisa thought of details I hadn’t even thought about. She was the backbone of our day making sure everything ran on time and smoothly.
