After getting married, you realize just how chaotic and busy the day really is especially as the bride—but Lisa was there every step of the way, remembering every detail. I never had to worry about a single thing; if I thought of something, she was already ten steps ahead of me. Lisa has been a part of several of our family weddings, and I would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone. As our wedding planner, Lisa kept us on track with timelines and tasks leading up to the big day. She coordinated with every vendor and managed the entire week’s schedule with incredible organization. Whenever I needed a recommendation, she had the perfect suggestion. She exceeded every expectation—though I can’t say I was surprised. Lisa is truly gifted at what she does; this is the job she was made for.

Lisa did exactly that, everything was on time and ran so smoothly because of Lisa. It was perfect. She was always checking in on us throughout the whole day making sure we were okay and if we needed anything and most of all making sure we were just having fun, she took all my stress and worries away. We can not recommend Lisa enough, if you want a stress free day hire Lisa! You will not regret it I promise!

She was extremely hands on—even her husband helped handle our dog between events when he needed help! We had nothing to worry about once things started rolling because Lisa had it all handled and coordinated our vendors to ensure that all of our needs were met. I highly recommend Lisa and would definitely do more events with her if we ever return to Iowa!

r. She was prompt in returning our inquiry and very friendly and professional in an online consultation and we decided on her quickly as our wedding planner/coordinator. A wonderful decision! Lisa is very attentive to detail, knowledgeable about the wedding industry & vendors in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area, and had even worked weddings at our venue (Hotel Millwright in Amana) so knew the property and staff there (which was extremely helpful). She met with the bride & groom in person & online and was very attentive to emails/texts from them and me. She helped keep my daughter accountable for each step in the planning process so they didn't get behind in planning and kept in touch with our vendors and on top of our contract details. She brings many ideas to the table from weddings she's been part of in the past but also mainly wants to help execute the day to include your dreams and desires. One of the best things was the TIMELINE she put together to give to the wedding party to keep everyone on the same page and things running smoothly for makeup, hair, pictures, etc, on the wedding day. Lisa did a super job running the rehearsal and on the wedding day, she and her husband, Scott, were incredible - keeping things on time and they were ready to help with whatever issues came up with a smile. Lisa is able to take charge gracefully so you can relax and enjoy the day. She also brought an awesome bag of emergency items that was very helpful. We received many comments from the wedding party, family and guests about how smooth and non-stressful the wedding felt which was due to Lisa & Cherish the Day! My son has been in multiple weddings lately and said none were as well planned & executed as this one. I consider Lisa & Scott friends and would HIGHLY recommend Cherish the Day to anyone - they helped create a storybook wedding for my daughter and son-in-law!

She was a liaison with church personnel at the rehearsal and made sure the wedding day was smooth. What a relief as the MOB not to have to think about issues. When she noticed the “picture booth” had no back ground, she suggested we take the arch/greenery/signage behind the head table to the area after dinner. It was perfect!! Lisa had a portable kit with her for any troubleshooting and she kept an eye on things at the reception. Reasonably priced but worth more! Lisa gets the highest recommendation from our family.

I truly did "cherish the day" and am so glad that we were able to have Lisa and her assistant/husband help us with this. We met with Lisa over a year before the wedding just so we could talk about our vision for our wedding and to see what areas we might need help in. She gave vendor recommendations when needed and made sure I had checklists to stay on track with booking everything. With her experience, she asked us questions about things we didn’t even realize we need to consider and gave suggestions if we were struggling. The best part was that she handled all of the vendor communication in the month leading up to the wedding, and she built the most detailed timeline for us (bridal party and vendors) to follow. My goal was to have someone that any and all questions could be directed to so that I didn’t have to add any stress—Lisa was that person and so, so much more. Both Lisa and her assistant (there on the day of) are amazing to work with—so personal and professional at the same time and there every step of the day. Cherish the Day is truly one of the best investments we made for our wedding!!

She brought kindness and a relaxing environment to not only the bride and groom but also the bridal party, who often complimented her services. Lisa and her Husband were also key in making sure the bride and groom took private moments for themselves, were properly feed and hydrated, and remained calm & relaxed. I would highly recommend Cherish the Day services to anyone getting married, and looking for a day of coordinator. We debated getting a planner and coordinator but went with just the coordinator and it was perfect for our budget and needs. Their services are extremely affordable and worthy of all the praise.

We are so thankful we found Lisa and that she was such a huge part of our special day.

Of course I couldn’t help myself and questioned things on our wedding day, but every time I asked Lisa a question she was two steps ahead of me and had it all taken care of! Lisa is a LIFE SAVER! She was so kind, honest, and professional and made sure to keep us on task with regular check ins.
