We had the most beautiful wedding reception ever at Chesapeake Inn! Our destination wedding was cancelled due to COVID, and we had to quickly plan a new "mini" wedding. We worked with Lindsey and she made everything so easy and simple. We had a small dinner with family on the Terrace and it was absolutely perfect. We created a menu for the event, and the food was fantastic. The atmosphere was great and the staff was so helpful. We really couldn't have asked for a better event. The only "negative" of the Terrace was the noise from the lower deck. It did not bother us, as we were a small group, but if you are looking for a quiet affair an inside room might be preferable. We really enjoyed having the band so close to us and hearing the live music.

Eddie and all of the staff at the Chesapeake Inn were so easy to work with. They never hesitated to answer any of my million questions and continued to offer their help. The ballroom is gorgeous no matter what time of year you are there. I would highly recommend taking a look at this beautiful venue!

We had to quickly move our ceremony inside and Eddie was amazing!! he calmed me down, rearranged the room, guided guests to the new locations, and made the hall beautiful and transformed to our decor, all within one hour! Throughout the planning, he was responsive, attentive, and fantastic to work with!!

Everyone at the Chesapeake Inn was Incredible! Eddie made the whole planning process easy and made sure my day was exactly what I wanted. From talking me off ledges to setting up my beautiful room, Chesapeake Inn was everything I needed and wanted. There wasn't one detail missed!

My husband and I were just married at the Chesapeake Inn Ballroom and we can't say enough good things about it! Days later and we are still glowing and gushing over the entire experience. Eddie (Greer) and his staff are top-notch and made the entire evening magical. The planning process over the past year has been a dream because of Eddie's consistent communication with us (we never seemed to bother him, no matter how many emails or changes we made!). We had the ceremony in the Ballroom, then the cocktail hour on the Veranda and Terrace while the staff flipped the ballroom for the reception. The entire event went so smoothly that we were able to take a few minutes for ourselves while the team changed things around us and we didn't even notice. They set up all of the decorations we provided beautifully with minimal direction from us a few nights before the event. The food was amazing. From the hors d'oeurves through to the dessert tables, there wasn't a dish or item that wasn't a hit. Everyone raved about the food - and are still raving about it! The team was great about making sure that we (the bride and groom) had food at our table, as well. They brought in hors d'ouevres to us while we were in between the ceremony and reception, they made sure our dinner plates were covered with warmers when we didn't make it back to our sweetheart table as dinner was brought out, and they made sure to swing through the dessert room for us and plated up several desserts so that we didn't miss out on those while we were socializing. There is just not enough good that I can say about the entire experience! The staff at Chesapeake Inn Ballroom made our wedding seamless, easy, and magical!

I don't even know where to start. Shannon and Eddie are exceptional!! From our initial meeting with Shannon, to check out the venue, to the last dance at our wedding, Eddie was there to help with EVERY detail. He and his staff always had a smile on their faces and made sure that everyone was laughing and relaxed at all times. The ballroom was set up better than I could have ever imagined with all of my DIY decorations - they saw my vision and made it better! Our family and friends can not stop talking about how great the food was and how fun and beautiful our wedding was! I had the most stress-free wedding and I owe it all to Eddie and his staff.

Our entire experience at Chesapeake Inn was wonderful. From our first meeting with Eddie we were completely sold on the venue. The ballroom is beautiful and everyone at Chesapeake was amazing to work with. We dropped everything off two days before the wedding and they took over from there. Eddie Greer was great to work with and when he left for the night and Craig took over he did a great job too. We highly recommend Chesapeake Inn!

I had my bridal shower here in the larger room they have upstairs. We did a buffet with unlimited wine/mimosas and bloody marys. It was an absolutely beautiful day and we were able to go outside for pictures on the upper deck. I'm originally from Maryland and moved to NJ so I had guests coming down to stay over in the different local Bed & Breakfasts they have over town. I really was able to give them the Maryland experience: on the water, delicious seafood, and great service! The boys all hung out at the tiki bar downstairs for drinks, food, and to watch the game while we were upstairs. The coolest part is that in the middle the shower, an enormous cargo boat came through the canal!!!! Everyone was blown away!! Afterwards, those who could stay for the night joined the guys downstairs at the tiki bar and we had a fun filled night.

Guest can't stop talking about how great our reception was! The food, the signature drink and the beautiful ballroom. We unexpectedly had to change venues the month before our wedding and were able to book Chesapeake Inn at the last minute! They were so accommodating and wonderful to work with! We highly recommend them!!

We had our wedding reception at Chesapeake Inn Ballroom. The ballroom is beautiful, we loved the ceiling with all the lights in it. They did a wonderful job. The service was great and everyone enjoyed the food. The staff did a wonderful job setting up all of our centerpieces and other decor as well as helping us pack up at the end of the night. Eddie was a wonderful help in the wedding planning process. He was always so prompt in answering any questions we might have. He did a great job making sure everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding and we did not need to worry about anything, we were able to just enjoy the day.

Eddie Greer and his staff at the Inn were amazing! Our day would not have ran as smoothly as it did without them. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. My husband and I could not be happier that we chose the Inn.

This venue was absolutely gorgeous and my guests agreed! I fell in love when I saw the twinkling lights and after reading the amazing reviews I knew this was the perfect venue! Eddie and the staff were amazing! They make you feel like the most important couple they have ever worked with. The staff is well prepared and make the night go smoothly, I didn't need to worry about a thing! The food was delicious and definitely met our high standards. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an elegant venue that is easy to work with!

We chose to get married here after seeing the venue with the beautiful windows, ceiling lights and the fact that everything was included, unlike many other venues. You had the option of upgrading certain things (linens, appetizer choices, etc), but even if you didn't, it was still beautiful and great food. Cake is included as well. We chose to have cocktail hour on the deck which guests loved. Everyone commented that they have never been to a wedding with so much food - 8 appetizers plus salad, appetizer main course and sides at dinner and sweet and coffee table. Eddie was very responsive. We had our ceremony outside at the Moon Property and I was worried because it's a newer venue but it all went off without a hitch.

We had an afternoon reception at the Chesapeake Inn Ballroom recently. The food was good but I wish there was more of an opportunity to eat it! The atmosphere was wonderful, very beautiful room. I would have liked for water pitchers to be offered the whole reception and food only taken away if someone said for it to be at the tables. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would do it all over again. Eddie was wonderful with communicating the whole time while planning.

About a year ago my husband and I had our reception at the Chesapeake Inn. There is not one bad thing I can say about the wedding and all the events leading up to the wedding. Eddie helps you every step of the way, is very quick to return an emails or phone calls you may have and is extremely helpful in the whole process. Andy the dockmaster was also extremely helpful when it came to wanting boats on the docks. He was extremely friendly to each boat guest we had and helped us out greatly. There is not enough I can say about the staff at the Chesapeake Inn. They treated our guest with the most respect and made sure everyone was having a great time. My husband and I could not have imagined having our reception anywhere else! The food, the venue, the service, the view and the staff are above and beyond anything we could have ever imagined! The prices are extremely comparable to any other venue with no "surprise" money due at the end.

The ballroom of The Chesapeake Inn is breathtakingly beautiful! The ceiling has a gorgeous chandelier surrounded by fiber optics that make the ceiling twinkle like a night sky. Very dreamy and romantic! If you've ever had dinner at The Chesapeake Inn, I don't have to tell you how good the food is. We got so many compliments from our guests on how much they enjoyed the food! The staff was great. They don't nickle and dime you like a lot of caterers that have a $2/person cake cutting fee. The Chesapeake Inn Ballroom is very upfront about all of their costs -- what's included and what's not -- so there are no surprises. Our wedding was perfect and I could not have asked for more!

We couldn't have asked for anywhere better to celebrate. The food is phenomenal as well as the view. The staff is fantastic and friendly and the atmosphere is upscale but doesn't break your wallet. Eddie is the wedding coordinator and he is fantastic. I would recommend anyone I know to have their reception here. It's the perfect compromise for a reception on the water without having to go to the beach

Our wedding was absolutely perfect. Everything went so well and Eddie was such a great help at keeping everything in line and everything calm. What an absolutely gorgeous place to have our wedding at!

Our Wedding was so amazing and went without a hitch. From the day we booked the venue Eddie was on top of everything. He is extremely prompt with emails and responding (as it was easier for me to email than call all the time). We live over an hour away and I felt very confident with everything!!! A few days before the wedding when we met with Eddie to finalize the details, he had check lists for me, and had specific steps he took to ensure nothing would be missed. The food was AMAZING!! We had so many compliments on the food, the professionalism and atmosphere. We had a day Wedding and myself, my husband, our families, and closest friends all stayed after and went to the tiki bar for the night - the whole staff knew who I was and made sure we were taken care of while there. If I had to plan it all again, I would not hesitate to have my wedding here! I checked hundreds of venue pricing and nothing compares. Thank you Eddie and staff for making our wedding a day we will never forget!!!

We absolutely could not be happier with the Chesapeake Inn and their staff! Everything was perfect! You could tell that this was not their first rodeo and the night went off without a hitch. The food was phenomenal and our guests are still talking about it! Eddie is a rockstar and I wish I could hire him to organize all of my events!

Chesapeake Inn and their staff made our wedding day exactly how we imagined it. We received countless compliments on the ballroom, food, service, and overall ambience. Eddie, the banquet manager, was extremely helpful and responsive through the planning process. He provided constructive feedback when we suggested various ideas, but in the end, he's always there to make sure everything suits your style. We also couldn't say enough about the staff at Chesapeake Inn. Everyone worked together to make sure the night ran smoothly. It was important to us that we had a good time with a minimal amount of stress, and that's exactly what we did. They were professional and friendly and this was noticed by our guests. People also loved the feel of Chesapeake City and thought the setting on the water was beautiful. The banquet room is unique and at night absolutely breathtaking. The ceiling and chandelier really add an elegant and intimate feel to the room. With regards to the food, we couldn't be happier. The appetizers and entrees were filling and delicious. We served filet mignon and crabcakes and chicken and scallops and we had numerous guests comment that it was the best food they've had at a wedding. We'd highly recommend the crabcakes. Chesapeake Inn has the added benefit of being located in Chesapeake City, which is a historic and quaint little town. If you'd like (as we did), you can have your guests stay in bed and breakfasts, have your wedding at church or Pell's Garden, and reception at Chesapeake Inn and never have them leave the town. There are also several hotels within 10-15 minutes of the town if you have more guests than the B&B's can accommodate (we ran shuttles to and from the hotels so our guests didn't have to drive). We would offer some constructive criticism but we honestly have nothing worth mentioning. The location, ballroom, food, and service were impeccable and the price was very reasonable. A sincere thank you to Chesapeake Inn for making our day so memorable!

My husband and I loved getting married here! We had the best night ever and it truely was the best night of our life! We had a sweet heart table up on a platform and we were the center of attention and we got so much alone time together to really talk and spend time one on one. A night part of the night was it was colder than expected so we ended up getting into our private cocktail hour early; so we were able to go into cocktail hour to see everyone and mingle with each table before dinner so it made a lot of dancing time for us! Eddie the planner there was AMAZING and did everything and anything we needed to make our night special! I work recommend this venue for a small or large wedding and i would go to see it at night time before deciding because the room looks A LOT different from daytime to nighttime.

The Review Title says it all. That was the comment we received from every guest that attended who cared to comment. The location is beautiful, the natural decor of the room, breathtaking, the service of the banquet management and his staff.. TOP NOTCH , the food... UNBELIEVABLY PERFECT. I would not have changed one thing about our reception. Ask for Eddie... Chesapeake Inn KNOWS how to throw a wedding. And they don't nickle and dime you like a lot of places. Our package was basically all inclusive (service, gratuity, valet parking, all you can drink bar, champagne toast, two entree choices for guests, 5 course service, so much food at the cocktail hour - the food just KEPT coming, includes cake by a professional and AWESOME cake baker, linens, place settings...) I just can't say enough about how WONDERFUL Chesapeake Inn and their staff was. We had our Rehearsal Dinner in their restaurant, the wedding in the Ballroom, the After party at their Tiki Bar, and the Next day Farewell Brunch in their private veranda... EVERYTHING was FLAWLESS! look it up, you won't be disappointed.

Eddie, the banquet manager, and his team are true professionals. They constantly went out of their way to make sure that all of our wants and needs were met. We wouldn't have changed a thing!

Chesapeake Inn Ballroom is a beautiful venue and the event manager, Eddie, was wonderful to work with. They were very accommodating and helpful. I had many guests tell me that the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding. The wedding package included a 5 hour reception, the wedding cake, plus a room at a B&B on the wedding night for the bride and groom - overall a great value! There is also a Tiki Bar onsite, which was perfect for our after party!

We had our reception at the Chesapeake Inn. It was simply amazing...the food, the service, the layout. They did such a great job with everything. We received so many compliments with how organized our reception was - nothing went wrong! We're very happy with our decision.

I have to say, Eddie Greer, who was our wedding coordinator, made everything seemless. We had originally planend to have our wedding outside, but the weather didn't seem to agree. We had to make the decision the day of our wedding to move it into the ballroom at the Chesapeake Inn and Eddie made everything work perfectly!

We were so pleased with our wedding at the Chesapeake. The coordinator Eddie is so wonderful and helpful and made the entire experience a breeze. Although the nearest hotel is about 15 minutes, we arranged a shuttle and didn't seem to have any complaints from our guests. My husband and I were given a complimentary night in a bed and breakfast within walking distance of the inn. The ceiling in the ballroom is beautiful and looks amazing in pictures. The food was also fantastic! The pictures by the water were beautiful. I would absolutely recommend the Inn to any bride.

I can't say enough about my experience with the Chesapeake Inn. The venue and the ballroom were absolutely beautiful (waterfront venue, beautiful room) and I liked that they only hosted one event at a time. The food was delicious!!! My guests kept raving about how good the hors d'oeuvres and the meals were. Eddie Greer (the ballroom manager) was easy to work with and gave excellent suggestions throughout the whole process. The nicest part for us was knowing that everything was taken care of and that we could relax afterwards at our room at the B&B in town that was part of the package. Overall, having the reception at the Chesapeake Inn was one of the best choices my husband and I made.

Chesapeake Inn is so beautiful! We had an evening wedding and the ballroom ceiling was glowing like a starry night sky :) Eddie the Venue manager was amazing! He went out of his way to make sure everything went off without a problem. I was not feeling the best and I asked for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and my request was fulfilled :)

The ballroom is gorgeous, especially with the starlit ceiling in the evening hours. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious! The guests could not stop talking about how they had never tasted better food, and how gorgeous the hall was. Eddie, the coordinator for Chesapeake Inn, was incredibly easy to work with, and was very flexible. He works to make the day yours, and will work with you to make whatever you want a reality. If you can get a date at the Chesapeake Inn, TAKE IT!!!!!! It is well worth the money to have a reception you will never forget!

We were so lucky to have the Chesapeake Inn available for the day we wanted to get married. The whole team at the Inn were such a pleasure to work with and made my day so special and the location totally impressed our guest from the amazing food (beyond better than any other wedding ive attended) to the super beautiful ballroom. If Chesapeake Inn is available for your wedding day jump on it. SO WORTH IT!!

The staff at the Chesapeake Inn were amazing. They took great detail in helping to plan our special day. The food was AMAZING and the venue was gorgeous! Eddie, the manager, took care of organizing all of our various vendors, so I didn't have to worry about it! Everything was included in the per-person price (open bar, all of the food, cake, tables, chairs, linens, dishes, drinkware, etc). It's important to see what you venue includes, because all of those little expenses add up. That's why I liked having our venue take care of everything! We have received so many compliments about how our wedding reception was the best one that anyone was at (food, venue, ect.)....and I honestly believed all of our guests, because I had a blast!

great food, great service, cake, bar, 5 hours, champange toast, nice room included. private venue, linenes availible many extras availible. EDDIE was fantastic! so many compliments! after lloking at so many venues we came back to this small town, vinatge ballroom on the water with all the speaical touches that make a wedding memorable! valet parking, adorable bed and breakfast, excellemnt food. BEAUTIFUL ballroom with beautiful views, NICE chairs!!!!! the things that cost extra at other venues were included here! thats a value! thank you chesapeake Inn for making our day so special!

I would have another event at the Chesapeake Inn in a heartbeat. They offered us many options so we could do our wedding within our budget. The setting was beautiful on the water in Chesapeake City. Pictures are gorgeous with the water and bridge in the background. The staff was wonderful, extremely helpful, and willing to answer any questions I had. We had the ceremony in the Veranda room with 75 guests, and the reception in the Ballroom. We got so many compliments on the setting, food, the whole day was perfect!

The ballroom is FABULOUS with a beautiful 'starlit' ceiling and fabulous food!
