Cheshire

This sure is a beautiful venue, but we had so many issues with our wedding weekend, almost too many too count. The day before my wedding I had a $1500 charge from the Cheshire when my room was supposed to be $150- I was told that the people at the front desk were new and it was a "mistake". Day of the wedding, multiple people could not check into there rooms till about 6PM and were told that they were not ready yet, all while receiving extremely poor service from the front desk. People were given wrong keys to rooms (that had people in them) the AC went out in multiple rooms, and a few of our guests car's were broken into at night (windows smashed). Two weeks after my wedding, my MIL received a $5000 charge on her credit card, and they explained this was a mistake and they "accidentally" charged all events for that week on her card. This place needs some serious improvement with customer service as well as the hotel in general.

We had both our ceremony and reception at The Cheshire. The whole venue is gorgeous. The staff was incredibly accommodating. The food is also delicious!

Sarah and the crew at the Cheshire were phenomenal! With COVID delaying our initial plans, they stepped up to be accommodating and excelled at making our wedding day one we will always remember even though it was about 15% the original size. Even when we arrived an hour late for the reception, because of pictures, Sarah and staff had everything in place like we were right on time. I can't thank the Cheshire crew enough. Everyone had a blast, and the space is wonderful. Thank you again for all that you did and will recommend the Cheshire anytime somebody asks us for a recommendation!

I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience with Sarah and the staff at The Cheshire. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was nothing short of stressful, but Sarah was extremely communicative and supportive (while also ensuring safety) the whole way. The reception was modified but essentially felt exactly how we planned. We also ended up having our rehearsal dinner at their space - which was a last minute request that they happily took on! The food was phenomenal and the staff were so friendly. Sarah and her staff made the night feel absolutely perfect. Highly recommend Sarah and The Cheshire.

I want to give the highest marks possible to the Cheshire Inn; both for the Inn (and its accommodations ) and the wedding ceremony and reception venue. From the beginning of our association, Hanna for the Inn and Sarah for the ceremony/reception were a pleasure to work with, both in the initial coordination and the execution. Each provided helpful hints and guidance throughout. The staff at the Inn (a true gem) were always helpful, caring and considerate. Sarah and the staff working the reception were unbelievable in the manner they converted the ceremony setup into a first class reception venue. The service they provided during the reception/meal was exceptional. The wedding and reception was a huge success; everyone enjoying it. We received quite a few wonderful comments from our guests and they are due, in large part, to the Cheshire and its stellar support staff. I would recommend the Cheshire without question.

Sarah, Terry and the entire staff provided excellent service and the food was great! I highly recommend this venue due the quality of service and food. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception following flowed fantastically. We were very happy with how everything turned out. Thanks Cheshire!

I recently attended a wedding at The Cheshire, everything was fabulous! The food was amazing the staff was so polite and helpful! It was also nice that the hotel was so close and there were so many options for dinner and drinks... it made for the perfect little get away for a friends wedding!

The entire staff at the Cheshire/Boundary made the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding this month perfect! They did everything possible to produce a fabulous evening! In addition, the food was delicious and the Bartender was great! I would definitely plan another special event here. Thanks to each and every one of you! Especially Sarah.

We recently had a wedding at The Cheshire. This space is absolutely perfect. The food is delicious, the staff is very welcoming and completely on top of it, and Sarah especially helped calm my nerves as a mother of the bride. Our little girl’s big day was so special thanks to her. We would definitely use this venue again.

Don't market yourselves as event space if you don't want to host events. My fiancee and I called last week to schedule a viewing of the Cheshire's event space as we search for a wedding venue. The person who answered the phone seemed baffled I would ask for such a thing and transferred me to a manager who seemed equally unprepared and/or unwilling to take my call. But they did allow me to schedule a two o'clock appointment to tour the event space. When my fiancee and I arrived, there was no one to greet us and the signage about the front desk was confusing. When we found the front desk, there was no record of the appointment I had made and the manager I had spoken with could not be contacted by any of the employees, despite numerous attempts. We were told to wait and "someone would be with us soon." We waited for half an hour with my fiancee leaning on a cane the entire time due to a recent back injury. Though we saw many staff members pass us, not one of them offered to help my fiancee with her obvious discomfort. Only the receptionist at the front desk was helpful, as she tried multiple times to contact the manager I had scheduled an appointment with who clearly had forgotten or did not care to communicate this appointment with any of her staff. Another manager passed us, but rather than show us the event space himself, he attempted to contact the missing manager, but only after obtaining Starbucks. He also neglected to offer any assistance to my fiancee. After 40 minutes we finally left without being shown the space that we had scheduled a week prior to see. Aside from the receptionist, none of the staff was helpful or attentive to our needs. I can only assume from these other glowing reviews that this was an off day for the Cheshire but that is no excuse. No one should be made to wait 40 minutes for a prior appointment while in pain. Needless to say, I cannot recommend them and will not be using their services at this or any other time.

We met with Sarah in May to discuss our August wedding plan. She is very knowledgeable and professional, as well as easy to work with. She was able to arrange a tasting the same afternoon we met with her. The chef, Ryan, did an outstanding job and we were really sold on going with the full wedding package after the tasting. The space is lovely and really doesn't need any decoration, and the whole planning process was very simple because of how organized and accommodating Sarah and Ryan were. We highly recommend working with them for a wedding reception!

This was the easiest yet the biggest part of our day! Sarah made everything soooo easy. If you like to fuss over details she will talk you down lol. This venue made for a no hassle, all inclusive style wedding. I only had to answer a few questions the last month before our wedding and voile! it was perfect. She worked seamlessly with our other vendors. She answered questions in a timely manner and was a "yes" woman for everything I wanted to make sure was at our wedding. Simply a wonderful day made easy and carefree. My husband and I got to enjoy so much more of the day because we knew the Cheshire had it covered :)

We had our wedding at the Cheshire on New Years Eve and it was magical! We were able to completely customize our experience so that every detail felt personal. The wedding coordinator Sarah was great to work with and she made sure everything was perfect. Our guests raved about how delicious the food was and and loved the unique event space. Plus, with a hotel, bar, Starbucks, and several restaurants on the property, our guests said they had a blast spending the weekend at the Cheshire.

The Cheshire was the perfect winter wedding venue. Sarah was responsive, efficient, and very helpful throughout the months before our wedding. We also felt that the services provided were significant given the price person. The food was incredible and made the night feel unique and delicious! We also felt like we were able to decorate the venue with many personal touches. It was a magical night that we will never forget!

We got married in Italy and were looking for the perfect place for a cocktail party with family and friends back home. We selected The Upstairs at the Cheshire for our event and could not have been happier with our selection. We worked with Sarah; her prompt response to emails made for stress-free planning. She was more than accommodating. The menu had a vareity of selections and all of our guests were happy with the taste of the food. The bar also had a great selection of liquor, beer, and wine! We strongly recommend The Upstairs for any upcoming event!

My good friend's daughter had her wedding reception at the Cheshire and many of the guests stayed at the hotel. I enjoyed our room. Everyone was exceptionally nice and very helpful. Anything we needed, they did their best to accommodate. For the reception, we couldn't get in until Sat. morning to decorate, but everyone we encountered was very helpful. Ryan offered whatever help we needed. Terry did a great job of handling dinner and the whole evening. The bartender was great! I don't remember all the names but please extend to them and to you our "Thanks!"

I cannot say enough about how perfect my wedding was at The Cheshire! The wedding coordinator, Sarah, was unbelievable! A total rockstar!! She was so quick to respond to everything, and she was accommodating of every request I had. The food was just as amazing at the reception as it was at the tasting. I had many people tell me it was the best wedding food they ever had. The space was beautiful and the staff was helpful, friendly and quick. When we accidentally left some valuable items there, Sarah was quick to call me and they kept everything safe. The hotel itself is gorgeous and unique. Very British! I would recommend this venue to everyone!

As a wedding planner, I had the chance to work with Sarah and her crew at The Cheshire last weekend for a gorgeous ceremony and reception. The staff was extremely helpful, professional and efficiently "flipped" the ceremony to reception allowing us to add the finishing details to ensure the guests were greeted to a warm and welcoming reception ballroom. During dinner, I spoke with several guests about their meals and everyone was thrilled by both the portions, presentation, and taste. I can't wait to do another wedding with the Cheshire! My husband and I got married at the Cheshire over Labor Day weekend. It was the perfect venue for us. The staff was flexible and accommodating all our requests (we were a pretty nontraditional couple). All staff was beyond friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure there was nothing I had to worry about during the ceremony or the reception (we got married and did the reception in the Upstairs Room). Our guests stayed at the hotel and all had positive experiences. Highly recommend this venue.

The Cheshire was the perfect venue for our reception this past June. Sarah was extremely helpful with all aspects of planning and the staff was amazing. We would highly suggest the Cheshire to anyone looking to host a reception under 200 guests, great location, beautiful setting and amazing people! Compliments to the Chef as well, we are still getting feedback from our guests about how amazing the food was!

Good food was a major priority for us for our wedding reception and we found it at the Cheshire! They do such an amazing job there not just on the food but on bringing everything together beautifully. The Cheshire is the BEST place to have your wedding! We had our ceremony and reception there. I have loved the Cheshire Inn since I discovered it 25 years ago, making it an easy choice to have my wedding reception here. So convenient having banquet space, restaurants, bars and a hotel all in one place and absolutely beautiful! The reception was amazing, from the delicious food, to the helpful and pleasant staff, I couldn't have asked for more. They helped to make my wedding weekend perfect! The venue was gorgeous. I couldn't of been happier. What a great place. Guests can stay right there, fabulous restaurants, Starbucks on site. Everything you need. My sister recently had her wedding at The Cheshire and it was fantastic. Sarah Heckemeyer, the event manager, helped us in every way possible and accommodated all of our needs. Chef Rex's food was over the top amazing! Everyone was thrilled with the event, the beauty of the space and the service of the bartender, Terrie, and the rest of the waitstaff working the Atkins-Snarzyk wedding! This event went off without a single worry or problem and we owe that all to Sarah and the terrific staff at the Cheshire! We highly recommend the Cheshire for any events that you may have coming up! We also had a graduation party there the very next weekend at the pool. It was perfectly executed, as well. Thank you to the Cheshire for making memories with our family that we will cherish forever! 1000% AMAZING! We fell in love with the charm and elegance of The Cheshire, and it certainly did not disappoint! The staff was amazing, the food was fantastic and the overall ambiance was perfect for a small winter wedding. We would highly recommend!! Just wish we could do it all over again...

The Cheshire was a fabulous choice for our rehearsal dinner. Sarah worked with us very attentively to meet all our needs and plan out the menu to our budget. The servers were great and personally came up to me and congratulated me, telling me what a beautiful event it was! We were so touched.

The Cheshire was a fabulous location for our reception. The staff, service, food, etc. were wonderful and the coordination/arrangements were a breeze with their events coordinator. We loved it and received many compliments on the venue from attendees.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVED having our wedding and reception at The Cheshire!!! I completely love the event space and everything about this hotel. I got so many unique shots just with in the hotel for our wedding and couldn't have been happier. Mary Beth who is the event coordinator is so lovely and easy to work with I can't say enough nice things about her. She listened to everything I wanted, had great follow up and quick responses and was there the day of to check in and make sure things went smoothly! I also loved Brian who is the events Captain and the man who literally pulls it all together for you. I went through my vision with him and he pulled it off flawlessly and totally exceeded all of my expectations. The entire night just flowed smoothly with no issues and everything was just stunning and perfect. All of our guests stayed here as well and LOVED the cute themed rooms! We stayed in the James Bond suite and were surprised with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries at the end of the night from the hotel which was a very nice gesture. I wanted a venue that really would provide most everything I needed as I was planning my wedding from LA and I didn't want the stress or worry of juggling too many vendors and you can get that in The Cheshire. The only extra's I brought in were a cake, photographer, flowers and a DJ. I should also add that not only is the venue fantastic but the food here is top notch! All of our guests complimented us on how great everything tasted! If you want a venue that is unique, gorgeous, with top notch staff I highly recommend you check out The Cheshire!
