Chez Josef

We chose Chez Josef because the price was good and the venue offered in-house kosher catering, so we wouldn't have to coordinate with an outside caterer. Marc was easy to work with, and he and his team really went the extra mile to make the day go smoothly. I'm very glad we went with Chez Josef, and it was definitely the right choice. I'm giving them 4 stars because there were a couple of hidden costs - we were told the cost of the bar but not the cost of setting up the bar, which we discovered on the invoice, for example - and because communication can be very slow - it wasn't unusual for Chez Josef to take a week to respond to an email or phone call. In the end, everything went smoothly and the wedding day was lovely. Recommend.

Our wedding reception at Chez Joseph could not have been more perfect! From the early stages of planning to the final goodbye, Marc and the entire staff were beyond amazing. Their professionalism and passion made preparing for such a special night as stress-free and magical as it should be. We also had some non traditional requests involving the flow of the reception and they far exceeded our expectations without missing a beat. The banquet facilities are stunning and the food and drinks are second to none...at a value that far surpassed other high end venues we looked into. We had our wedding in the Tivoli Room which I think is the best room that Chez Josef has to offer. With the recent renovations this room is stunning, classic and beautiful. I loved the stairs from the bridal suit and the bridal suite itself is very spacious (including the bathroom which is very key if you have any type of ballgown dress!!). The day of the wedding everything turned out great, the staff decorated the room just as we had envisioned and they did a good job with all the details we had added for our fall theme. My only set back is that I felt that I had to step up and be on top of things during the process leading up to the big day. We had the room booked two years in advanced and I almost felt forgotten by the staff when the date was nearing. I had to remember to call and set up an appointment to finalize details and had to remind them of when we'd have to do the tasting. I think that it should have been Chez Josef reaching out to me to set these things up because as a bride you have enough on your plate to remember all the details.

I was very happy with my overall experience with Chez Josef. They accommodated my schedule well when scheduling planning meetings and my dining room manager Anthony was available by email and phone to answer all my questions. The food was great and all my guests said so! We had our ceremony here as well. It was planned to be in the Tivoli Garden but needed to be changed to inside the day of because of the weather. The staff made a remarkably quick job of changing the ceremony set-up into the dining set-up. My mom and I brought extra decor and Anthony and the staff had everything set up just like we requested. There were a few minor issues such as the chairs. I noticed they had different chairs then the ones described in my information (chairs with white chair covers) when we went for rehearsal. When I asked about them, Anthony was quick to offer a solution. They had put out new chairs but he offered me use of the old chairs with the white covers or a free upgrade to Chivari chairs. I thought this was a nice and appropriate gesture. We used the Tivoli Room for 100 guests and had plenty of space for moving around and dancing. It was a wonderful night!
