Highly recommend Chic Occasion! All of the artists we had were great and did a beautiful job! Very responsive to emails/texts and super accommodating with last minute time changes.

Spend the little bit of extra money and book with a different hair/makeup vendor. Chic Occassion has absolutely no integrity in the business they do and do not care about their clients. We had 3 artists scheduled and one flaked the morning of, the second showed up and surprised us by saying she could only stay for a couple of hours because she had to go to work, and the third stayed the entire time and unfortunately had to fix all the mistakes the second woman made. Because we didn’t have enough artists, not all of my bridesmaids were able to get their hair and make up done…we still haven’t been refunded after we asked for a portion of our money back for services not completed. We were charged an extra $700 a couple of weeks after paying the full amount due and the owner and management haven’t responded to my multiple emails and phone calls asking for a refund. We had to dispute the extra charge through our bank, but no one is taking responsibility for the error or lack of communication.

I wish I could leave zero stars for this company. They were the worst decision I made for my wedding. Not only is their communication horrible, they double charged me for my event. They then cancelled the night before. I was told by the owner, David, that a refund would be issued in 14 business days but still have not received my money back. His emails are short and useless or nonexistent at all. The only reason I booked with Chic Occasions to begin with is because I was getting married so far away from the DFW area. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company!

We booked this vendor 7 months in advance. You need to know that this is booking agency that uses free lance artists, so you have no idea who you are going to get. We were happy with the price and the trial hair and makeup with Angela. However, the day of the event, the second scheduled artist cancelled, and the main artist showed up a bit late. They sent a replacement who could not stay long enough to get her part of the wedding party ready. It was an absolute cluster of rushing around at the last minute. Thank goodness our main artist, Angela was calm and professional throughout the entire ordeal. She was a champ! To make matters even worse, they charged us an extra payment that has yet to be addressed. The booking agent has tried numerous times to contact the owner/office, and 8 days later, we still have not been issued a credit, or even had a courtesy call about the extra charge ($700). We also asked for a discount, as all of our services were not performed due to the scheduling and cancelling of the makeup artist. We will not be recommending this service to anyone.

My original hair and makeup people cancelled last minute and I was so worried we wouldn't have someone so I had to find someone new quick! Rachel and Shannon helped me get booked and found some stylists available and got us all set up with no issues. The stylists who came did an amazing job! We all looked great and everything lasted all night. The whole experience was great.

It was overall fine, not the best but I didn’t have any major issues. I had to change my wedding date due to COVID-19 and needed to book someone to do just my hair and makeup so it was hard to beat the flat rate prices for hair, make-up, travel, and tip. Communication from the coordinator was great and the stylist was very nice. She showed up early (about 40 minutes) which was great, but I felt very pressured to start early which I wasn’t ready for so it made me feel very rushed. I explained what I wanted and she did not listen and gave me a style that I didn’t want. I expressed concerns multiple times and she said it would look good when done. I was uncomfortable having her redo it but we wound up doing that. Before she finished, the curls had already fallen flat on one side so my MOH had to recurl as soon as the stylist left. Makeup looked great but I did have to ask multiple times for her to fix the caking under my eyes. Overall, I got the look I wanted eventually but it was definitely not a smooth experience and I wouldn’t use Chic Occasion again because you don’t get to know anything about your stylist or talk to them up front.

The First Lady showed up 45 minutes late to the appointment and she was buying a car the whole time on speakerphone. I ended up being late to my shoot and looked horrible, I fixed it in the car. I gave it another chance and even tho the girl was 35 minutes late, she did a fantastic job. However, that was supposed to be my trial for my wedding day and turned out she was already double booked. I only found this out because I directly texted the artist. The company would not email me back. Lastly, when I messaged the manager about it, he was very rude in the email and refused to give me a refund of my 500$ deposit. I had to find another makeup artist and get a trial before, all in a week and a half. I would stay away.

My makeup artist Frances and my hairstylist Irina were absolutely amazing! They made me feel like a princess during the trial session and even more beautiful the day of the wedding. They worked the varied skin tones, skin types an hair textures to make my bridal party look smashing. Frances is a genius with colors and was able to mix and color match all of my bridesmaids and my mom the day of to perfection. Rachel was my point of contact person during the wedding and she was really helpful with coordinating both artists and ensuring that my vision was met. If you are going to use extension during your wedding, I recommend "Belami Hair".

I did a trial last year and the experience was strange and unpleasant. My makeup artist never introduced herself, didn’t ask me any questions about what I wanted, just told me to sit down so we could start. She didn’t let me look at anything until she was totally done, and by that time it was too late. The contour was amazing, but the rest was horrifying. Had she asked me any questions, I would have told her to do the opposite of what she did. I will be finding another makeup artist for my wedding day.

Chic Occasion made sure my Wedding Day was perfect. From my trial to Wedding, Rachel, the booking advisor helped answer any questions I had. My artist were amazing and my bridal party and I loved our Hair & Makeup. Can't say enough good things. All my vendors were amazing; Chic Occasion made sure we were ready on time and looked great!

They did a great job for me and my bridesmaids last weekend for my Wedding! Their artists were on time, fun and all wore masks. My bridal party all loved their hair and makeup and it made for a great start to my day. Rachel was responsive with any texts or emails I sent through the whole process and accommodated a last minute addition I had.

Such a relief that I found Chic Occasion. I booked online, easily and couldn't be happier with how my makeup turned out. I'm rarely wear makeup so I didn't want a "caked on" look. They were able to give me a great natural look with highlight and some contour. They travelled to me in Marfa, Texas and my sister is using them for her upcoming Wedding in Oklahoma City. I appreciate my artists being so accommodating & easy to work with.

My artists helped me with the perfect look. I wasn't sure if I wanted an up-do or down-do and they helped me talk out pros and cons and they came out for a trial for both styles. I couldn't be happier with how my Wedding day Hair and Makeup turned out! Rachel was easy to book with and my artists: Kelsie and Stephanie were amazing and made sure my bridesmaids and I looked perfect!

Chic Occasion made sure my Wedding went flawless. From my trial to my Wedding Day, they achieved the look I was wanting; everyone commented on how beautiful my hair and makeup looks turned out. I can't wait to get my Wedding pictures back!!!

Cannot say enough good things about Chic Occasion! They made my wedding day run soo smoothly & executed my vision perfectly! My entire bridal party loved their hair and make up & I've never felt more beautiful! The coordination was super easy and the team was quick to respond whenever I reached out with questions or requested updates. The hair & make up stylists were super efficient and on time - we even had extra time for photos because they were able to execute the perfect looks ahead of schedule. They went over to the hotel and helped my mother-in-law and a few other family members get ready afterwards and met us at the venue for touch ups to be sure all of us looked beautiful all night long! Absolutely LOVED my experience and would definitely recommend them to other brides looking for a glam team!

My bride’s wedding was just this past Saturday in August and the hair stylist just didn’t show up. No explanation at all. It’s absolutely unacceptable that Chic Occasion decided my bride wouldn’t have her hair done for her WEDDING DAY. Would not recommend ever ever. I feel so terrible for my sweet bride!

Literally the worst experience. My sister’s bridal portraits were Friday, June 12th at 6 pm. She booked online and paid the 100$ deposit. We get to the location where she will have her hair and makeup done at 3pm, the booked time. No one is there at 3. Or 315. Or 330. We called and called the listed number and left messages. No one ever called, even through close of business today. Unacceptable. A day that should have been fun and exciting was disappointing and anxiety ridden. Being a bride right now is hard enough without this ridiculous behavior on the part of Chic Occassion. Less than 1 star would be more appropriate.

I believe my first review was deleted so I'll leave another. I unfortunately cannot recommend this company. I used them for my wedding in September and they were the ONLY vendor of the approx. 15 that I hired that I had problems with. I researched all of my companies very thoroughly and compared prices among each. This company appeared to have good reviews, reasonable prices, and was able to provide the most stylists out of any company I spoke with. I had 10 girls getting hair and makeup services done for my wedding day with a very tight timeline, and the owner of the company told me that we would get six stylists out to the venue on our wedding day to complete the services on time. We both signed the contract stating six artists would be sent out to my venue and I went about my planning, excited to have another vendor checked off my list. Shortly before my wedding day, I got a call from Sandra stating that we would be receiving four artists on the day of my wedding. I told her that we would accept that, as the contract stated we would have six and that was how many we needed to complete all services on time. She proceeded to argue with me, stating that she does this every day and knows how many artists I need for the amount of services I was having and that she had five other weddings booked for my wedding day so they wouldn't be able to accommodate sending out six artist. By the end of the conversation, I was in tears. No bride wants to have a contract broken shortly before the big day and be told that a vendor has overbooked so the contract can't be fulfilled. It makes you feel like your wedding isn't important, and for the amount of money we were paying for all of these services, the customer service should've been incredible. I quickly called my wedding planner, who stated this was unacceptable, and then called the owner of the company. The owner, David, reassured me that six artist would in fact be sent out on my day and that this would be communicated to Sandra. On the wedding day, four artists showed up to my venue. Two of them brought assistants, but these girls did NOT do any hair and makeup services, they simply handed some artists their brushes and sat on the floor, mostly doing nothing (we have pictures). I was livid, as I knew my girls and I would not all be ready on time with only four artists. Being on time is the last thing a bride wants to have to worry about on her wedding day. We called the owner and he stated that he would refund us part of the money, but that did not compensate for the fact that we were not ready on time and had to push everything back. I did get a partial refund, but that was hardly any consolation after all the added stress this company caused me and the unfulfilled promises. Keeping promises goes FAR in the wedding business, and I feel obligated to let every bride know that you will most likely not get what you pay for if you book this company. This is a shame, because the actual hair and makeup services were pretty good, but the customer service was so horrendous and Sandra was one of the rudest people I've ever spoken with. This company needs to retrain their representatives and learn how to stick to contracts if they want to have any really future. Brides, please do yourself a favor and book hair and makeup services with someone else.

This review is a couple months late, but I just wanted to say how happy I was with the makeup and hair services that were done for my bridal party! The 2 artists showed up on time, were professional and we loved the end result. The day was of course stressful at points, but thankfully the makeup and hair process wasn't. Def recommend

Cannot recommend this company enough! Sandra was fantastic to work with, and very attentive to all of my needs. We ended up doing a trial initially which ended up great, Morgan was our makeup and hair stylist. We did have some last minute changes to the timing of the wedding a couple days prior, but Chic was very accommodating, and they did a wonderful job on all of the bridal party's makeup!

I am the husband - but wanted to share our experience DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY- AWFUL A bride should never have to endure this We paid for the trial run &wedding day hair and makeup for the wedding party and my wife. The trial run was scheduled during bridal portraits . The stylist arrived very late, she carried her make up in a broken cardboard shoe box. Her makeup was not professional. It was makeup that could have been purchased at a discount store. When her makeup was complete and she left I had her mother take pictures of my wife's hair and makeup. Her face was orange and her eye lids had black eye shadow. It was truly terrible. She scrubbed her face and did her best to do her make up again and tried to comb through her hair. She had bridal portraits done but hated her hair so much that she had to have them done a second time. We spoke to Sandra from Chic Occasion after the trial to let her know the experience. We very nicely told her that though the stylist was very nice, she needed some additional training before sending her to a bride who will be paying hundreds of dollars for a service. She apologized and said that she would send someone for a second trial run. We scheduled a second trial and she did a good job. . we told Chic Occasion that we were happy with that trial and would like to move forward with this stylist for the wedding day. The day of the wedding we had the wedding party with my wife in a hotel suite and someone showed up at the door that we didn't know. She introduced herself as the hair and makeup stylist. We thought that possibly she was an additional stylist to assist the one we hired . We asked her to come in and called Chic Occasion. They did not answer the phone. I texted a number that I had used previously.. no answer.We had our families calling them nonstop and no one was able to reach them. asked her if she knew when the second stylist was to arrive and she said that she was the only person. Our wedding party was not prepared to do their own makeup- did not bring the supplies so we had no choice but to move forward. We let this stylist start working on the wedding party. We had paid for my wife and 4 other people to have hair and makeup. Forty Five minutes before my wife needed to leave for the wedding, she had 2 of her friends do her hair and make up for me. The stylist still had one more bridesmaid and the flower girl to style. She wasn't doing a terrible job but she wasn't doing a great job either. Her time management was terrible as well. Knowing that she had a bride and 4 other people to do, she took over an hour on the first person. After the wedding, I contacted Chic Occasion to let them know that i was not happy that they sent someone different than we had hired for the wedding,she didn't do a great job, my wife did not get her hair and makeup done at all.. and she was the BRIDE.. I told her that since she did not get services at all, I wanted the portion refunded for her hair and makeup and I wanted to know what she was going to do about the rest of the wedding party. Her only reply was "Thank you for the feedback, I'll take that into consideration in the future". She has not refunded the money for a service that we did not receive. We have told all of the other vendors (wedding planner, photographer, florist etc) not to recommend Chic Occasion. The artist was friendly and polite but the results were hideous. I showed the artist a picture of how I wanted the makeup and hair. The makeup and hair looked nothing like the pictures. My foundation did not match my skin tone as it was orange (note I’m fair skinned). My lashes were way too long on the sides so my eyes looked droopy. She took about 15-20 minutes to do my hair and it looked like a birds nest honestly. I’m not one to complain but I honestly thought it was a joke. She then proceeded to tell me that she did not have time to fix it. I would not recommend.

The actual services I received were lovely.  The two artists who helped my bridesmaids, my mother, and me get ready were professional and capable.  I wish I could have booked them independent of this company. However, the way the company operates really hinders communications and soured my experience.  Dealing with Sandra Rodriguez, the Dallas are booking coordinator, was exasperating.  First, Sandra asked me to send pictures of what I wanted in advance of my wedding.  However, it was clear when the hair and makeup artists arrived, they had not seen any of the pictures and we were starting from scratch. I also had some bridesmaids change the services they wanted prior to the event.  All changes were confirmed via email with Sandra.  However, I did not receive refunds for all of the changes. When I followed up after the wedding, Sandra insisted I had received the services and that she had photo confirmation.  This is impossible and, given she would not show me the pictures, I can only assume she knew that.  I am currently in the process of disputing the extra charge with my credit card company.  On the whole, I would not recommend dealing with this company due to poor coordination of services.

Let me start by saying Chic Occassion was awesome to work with! Initially I had a small hiccup with the first trial run for my hair and make up- long story short it was a bad experience! The director was in contact before, during, and immediately after the trial though and immediately jumped into action to make sure I had a great trial run with a new stylist! She wanted to ensure I felt fully confident in my stylist for the wedding! Thankfully I was given another trial with a FANTASTIC artist named Kerstie and everything went incredible from then on! They made sure we had enough artists for the wedding and kept in communication all throughout the process before and during the wedding! The day of the wedding was a hot mess but with the huge help of Kerstie she got us on track and best of all- all looking and feeling fabulous for the wedding! Chic Occassion was very accommodating and at the end of the day I’m incredibly happy with their services they provided! Highly recommend for brides looking for flexibility, communication, and an easy process!

My husband and I found Chic Occasion after searching through a long list of potential vendor, and I am SO happy we decided to choose them! We had a mix of men and women for each of our wedding parties, and the artists were totally flexible; doing an amazing job on subtle touch ups for the men and more elaborate blow outs for the women. The artists were punctual, and most importantly did a fantastic job making us all look amazing in a short amount of time. Will definitely recommend to friends!

I want to start off by saying that mine and my bridal party's makeup came out beautifully for my wedding day. However, they did not do my makeup how I originally wanted even after sending reference pictures beforehand. I was asked to send ideas of makeup looks that I wanted for my wedding which was a brown smokey eye and was told that those pictures would be given to the makeup artist who would be working on me. For some reason, she put purple eye shadow on me instead even after mentioning that she received the pictures...it was a beautiful look, just not what I asked for. There was no time to change it unfortunately because I was done last and it was time to start heading to the venue. There was a last minute change in the number of people who would be getting makeup and hair done which resulted in 2 people not showing up after all. I contacted the lady I spoke to initially who was in charge of booking clients and let her know about the changes immediately and she said it was not an issue. However the artists did not like that and their attitudes changed very quickly. They would make low key rude comments towards us but I figured as long as they get the job done that was all that mattered. The woman who did my makeup was particularly unfriendly to both myself and my maid of honor and was continuously checking her watch as if she was timing herself while making comments that she had somewhere else to be afterwards. As for the hair stylists, I was left very confused the weeks leading up to the wedding. One of the hair stylist called me and said she wasn't sure if she was going to make it because she had her beauty school graduation the same day as the wedding...I don't know if that's normal to have someone who is still a student do weddings but I called her back the next day and she said her professor would let her make up the hours later and that everything was fixed. Although she was able to make it in the end, that caused a lot of unnecessary stress. She did a great job on the one bridesmaid that she worked on, however she spent pretty much the whole 3 hours that we had the artists booked for on her which resulted in my mom not being able to have her hair done and having to just do a simple curl by herself. As for the stylist who did my hair, I had also sent reference pictures beforehand and showed her the day of as well what I wanted which was the typical low messy bun. She was unsure of how to recreate the look on me and kept trying to get me to choose a different look but I really had my heart set on what I had originally wanted. She attempted the look but couldn't quite get it right in the end. She was also a bit rushed because like I mentioned I was the last one to get hair and makeup done which left us with less time for me. Also, no one mentioned anything about doing a trial at any point, which I didn't know was a thing at the time. The artists thought that was strange and stated that usually they require a trial so I guess that was a big part of what caused a lot of problems. So in the end, really what bothered me what how unfriendly and unorganized they turned out to be. Maybe I was just unlucky and had a bad experience but I would not recommend Chic Occasion to my friends or family.

Cannot express how grateful I am for Chic's service. Flexibility was met with unprecedented professionalism and it made the booking process and my wedding day a huge success. I highly recommend going with Chic Occasion for your big day!

This company made the booking process easy and communication was incredible. My stylist was Andrea and she did everything exactly how I had pictured myself looking on my wedding day. I highly recommend this company. They are extremely professional and the pricing is unbeatable.

I really do not like leaving bad reviews online, but I feel the need to share my experience for the benefit of others. First, I'd like to say that my stylist Jennifer did a great job, and is the only reason I gave more than a 1-star rating. She was a pleasure to be around and made us all look very beautiful. However, I had major issues with the scheduling and management portion of this company. Their website advertises "We make sure to send several artists for you and your group to look beautiful, not feel rushed and assure you're ready on time!" This was also reassured to me via email by their managing partner/co-founder, David Davis. Then on my wedding day, without any warning, only one stylist arrived to complete hair and makeup for four people. We had scheduled 3 hours to get ready because Mr. Davis advised our appointments should take approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes. It took about 5 and a half hours for everyone to be finished which severely cut into our time for photos. I think the idea behind this company is wonderful, but the execution is severely lacking. Please think twice before hiring this company.

Highly Recommend! Sandra's customer service was fantastic and I loved my stylists. Everyone made sure I was comfortable and relaxed before my ceremony- I just got back my Wedding pictures and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out :)

I just had my wedding in Waxahachie, Texas last weekend, and I must say the artists at Chic Occasion made all us ladies feel like princesses! Linda M. did a fabulous job adding some glitter & glam to my typical natural look, making me feel truly beautiful!! The hair artist also did a fabulous job, creating 6 flawless updos and one gorgeous half-up hairstyle.. all within our 3 hour time limit! Working with Sandra was a dream too. She was extremely responsive and helpful as my needs changed throughout my engagement. If you’re looking for an affordable group of artists & stylists that will meet you wherever you are and give you the look you ACTUALLY want on your wedding day, Chic Occasion is for sure the place for you. We had Michaela for our bridal party hair and makeup and she did an incredible job! She was extremely friendly, and put a newbie like myself at ease straight away. I've never felt so beautiful, and my bridesmaids looked incredible too!

Was on time and professional and makeup looked good however the artist could not get my hair quite right.

My daughter just had her trial hair and makeup and the stylist did a wonderful job! She was right on time and really listened to what my daughter envisioned for her wedding day! She looked beautiful and now she is happy and relaxed that on her wedding day she will be thrilled with the results.

I'm practically at a loss for words because of how easy the entire process for booking and the actual hair and makeup session was. Very professional with great customer support including reminders for both the trial and the time of the event.

My makeup and hairstylist was wonderful! She did an excellent job and really listened and adjusted to my personal style and vision for what I wanted. However, communication with Chic Occasion was difficult. I sometimes never got a response or they would only respond to one part of my question. Hope they iron that out moving forward, because the service and the pricing was great!

I AM SO UPSET. DO NOT USE. I scheduled them 1 month in advanced for my trial on a Saturday. Then he calls me on friday to confirm my appointment on SUNDAY. NOOOO. Then of course no one was available for Saturday. I told him I was upset, and he did nothing. I let it go because I was able to change my plans and make it work. After the trial I called him and asked if I could have someone different do my hair for my wedding day. The lady was nice but I did not feel like she did my hair better than I could do it. However, I told him I LOVED the lady who did my makeup. He assured me he would send someone with more experience to do my hair on my wedding day and I would keep the same make up artist. Then on my wedding day, the same lady I did not want for my hair arrived, and someone new for my make up arrived. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! My MOH called immediately multiple times with no answer, she left a voice mail. I called multiple times with no answer and left a voice mail. HE NEVER RETURNED MY CALL. Not even after the wedding. No email, no "how was your experience". Nothing. He disappeared. What a joke. In addition, he assured me, before I even booked them as a vendor, he would send out enough stylists to finish my entire bridal party in 2.5 hours. They finished 3 people in 5 HOURS. I lost 2 hours worth of pictures because of it. To say I'm upset is an understatement.

They did a great job! Misty came out for my trial and did it right in my living room. She listened to the changes I wanted to make it executed my wedding day look perfectly. I was a little frustrated it took longer than expected and cut into my photo time with my girls and ended up rushing my first look with my dad, but in the end it all worked out. My makeup and hair, as well as my bridesmaids, looked flawless.

One of their stylists showed up late to the wedding with no communication, putting us behind schedule for pictures prior to the ceremony. A stylist also showed up late to my trial (which ended up not being a big deal). That said, my hair and makeup looked fantastic on my wedding day, as did that of my bridesmaids!
