Chic Soiree Events

I found Chic Soiree via Instagram because of a wedding with similar colors of mine. On their instagram and website it says services are offered in Houston and the Dallas area. Sabrina the owner of Chic Soiree was booked for my wedding as my month of wedding planner and event designer. Wasn't pleased with her event design services, many of the things she offered were things I'd already shown on my Pinterest board. Also, I only saw her twice over a one year span which was to sign my contract and the weekend of my wedding which was also when she saw my venue in person. All meetings were conference calls despite me visiting the Houston area on many occasions where her home office is located. I booked a year in advance and was hoping to have a few more meetings face to face, simply because I'm a visual person and she was supposed to do the event design for my big day. I ended up using another vendor for the design of my wedding who was referred by a co-worker. Also, the day of my wedding there were a logistical decisions that needed to be made between the venue rep and I would think my wedding planner, but instead the venue reps were coming to me asking questions while I was getting my hair and makeup done because they couldn't find a rep from Chic Soiree's staff. Wasn't too happy about that as I was supposed to be in the moment with my bridesmaids, mom, and flower girls. Also, there weren't supposed to be any children or guest that weren't invited and no one was there to enforce those rules with my hostess which I asked Sabrina on several occasions before the wedding, who would be there to assist. Our reception was plated with a seating chart, because we had a strict guest count and couldn't really go over our numbers. Despite the hiccups we had a beautiful wedding and mostly everything major ran smoothly but wish things would have went a little different with the planning process.
