We got married at the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg and our experience was wonderful! Michelle and her team made sure that our event went flawlessly and our guests all enjoyed the venue. The grand ballroom was perfect for our wedding ceremony and reception- it was a beautiful space. The tent was also a great location for our cocktail hour. Overall we really enjoyed our wedding at Chicago Marriott Schaumburg and would highly recommend this venue to others!

Michelle is amazing and was extremely helpful and responsive the entire time! She made the process so easy! The hotel is beautiful, the food was very good, and all of the staff are super accommodating and helpful!! Our guests also kept sharing how beautiful the hotel is and that they had a great time! Everything went super smoothly and I'm so glad we chose the Marriott Schaumburg for our ceremony and reception! Had our rehearsal dinner here too and it was perfect as well! Super great service!

us from start to finish and helping us make the most perfect day. All of the staff went above and beyond to make sure ourselves and our family was taken care of, not for just one day but for the whole weekend. Everything was simple and beautiful and the hotel has everything you need, including delicious food. 10/10 would recommend to EVERYONE.

The only complaint we had was with the bar as we paid for the premium bar package and there was some liquor forgotten so the bar had to be shut down to resolve the issue. Other than that our wedding at the Marriott was perfect! Also, fantastic grounds for outdoor pictures! If wedding planning stresses you out, Michelle is your lady!

a wedding reception venue!!!! From start to finish, we had such a great experience. Katie worked with us to customize every part of the reception to be exactly what we wanted – from centerpieces, other table decorations, allowing us to bring our own charger plates, providing cocktail hour music, keeping the outdoor pool open for a week longer than usual at the end of summer so we could have our cocktail hour outside…I could go on and on. The package price was really reasonable for everything it included, and our guests raved about how good the food was. Katie and the Marriott team were truly invested in making sure our reception was everything we wanted it to be. Before booking with Schaumburg Marriott, I had read about a bunch of crazy things to look out for in reviews of other venues, and I didn’t have to worry about a single one of them with Marriott. Our cake was included (no extra cake cutting fee), and it was delicious! When we chose to forego full chair covers for just sashes, we were able to apply the leftover credit to something else. As far as I can tell, it’s really unheard of for cocktail hour music to be included – usually you have to pay for an extra hour with your DJ or band to provide that, but with Marriott Schaumburg it was included. I asked so many last minute questions, and Katie was always so sweet and accommodating when answering them. Another huge help was when Katie allowed us to start setting up in the tent on Friday before our reception on Saturday night! Being onsite at a full service hotel was perfect also. We had a gap of time in between our ceremony and reception, and it was great for guests to have something to do in between – head to their rooms, the hotel bar, or mingle with other guests in the lobby. During the reception, guests who didn’t want to dance or wanted to step away from the loud music also appreciated being able to gather in the lobby. And at the end of the night, it was so nice for us to not need to hop in a car or shuttle to get to the hotel – we were already there. Thank you so much, Katie and Marriott team! We loved everything about our planning process with Marriott Schaumburg and especially the reception itself!!

ut I had it all in writing so the new women followed threw. Both ladies were very very nice and the hotel is beautiful. On the wedding day everything went pretty smoothly. I think dinner was a little slow getting each course out but I was busy that is just what my mom said. Also the lady was very nice if we weren't at our seats when our course was out she would come tell us to make sure we got it warm. The salmon is delicious!!!

However, we were disappointed with the lack of food options, attempts at upcharging for items that should have been (and told they would be) included, lack of consistency regarding price quotes, and lack of return of items we provided for our wedding. In addition, we were provided a recommendation by the Marriott for a vendor which they ended up encouraging this vendor to charge us more than the original quoted price. This is when it became clear that they were not really working with us...

But none of this would have come together without the expert advice of the event coordinator at the Marriott, Denise Englemann. We can not say enough about her. From the first time we met her through today, everytime we talked to her she was up beat and made the whole process wonderful. We would recommend the venue and especially Denise to everyone. It was an incredible day and the reception was beyond our wildest dreams! We can not thank Denise enough for all she did to make our day incredible!
