The food was amazing (cocktail hour snacks, dinner, and late night snacks), the reception room was organized and decorated so well, and the whole night flowed exceptionally well thanks to Jill R. and the rest of the team. They made the whole experience so easy for us. There was never a doubt that the day wasn’t going to be perfect with this staff running the show. We had outstanding communication leading up to the day, we had multiple in person meetings and phone conversations, and they just made us feel so comfortable. My wife and I are extremely grateful for all their efforts, and we are so happy with how everything turned out! It’s also very satisfying that it’s not a multiple wedding space. It’s a big hotel, but they are dedicated to hosting one wedding at a time. We loved the fact that we had the whole place to ourselves! We highly recommend having your wedding here!

oordination team was SO easy to work with (Lisa, Jill & Faby) and responded so quickly whenever I had a question. The suite we got ready in was perfect— we had 14 ladies all getting ready, 4 hair and makeup artists, 2 photographers and 2 videographers and we still had space. The patio and gallery for cocktail hour was spectacular. The staff is also super friendly. Not to be biased, but their food is TOP TIER and the best wedding food we’ve ever had! My husband and I are forever grateful for the Marriott team!!!

Jill and her team set up our tastings, venue walk throughs, and even let myself, my mom, and my now husband come to the Marriott the week of our wedding to drop off our decor, so we didn't have to worry about it the day of. Jill and her team listened to my vision for the venue and executed it perfectly. By the time my mom showed up to the Marriott on wedding day to start setting up the venue, Jill and her team had already almost finished decorating the entire event space! Jill and her team took all the stress of wedding day away, and allowed myself, my husband, and our families to enjoy every minute. The food and service were fantastic, and the event space was extremely clean. Our guests could not stop saying that our wedding was the best wedding they've attended in years! to days AFTER my wedding, everything was spot on. From Jill to Victoria and all servers at the wedding, I can't express enough how thankful I am that you made my day PERFECT. Everything was just so easy on me. The emails flowed without me waiting on answers and the line of communication was really important to me and they killed it. From the landscape to the lighting an even the temperature of the rooms, they made sure everything was what I wanted. The menu tasting was super special and so much fun. Chef even came in and made a totally different soup for us, talk about service. Victoria, the hotel wedding planner was AMAZING. She worked with my wedding planner and all my vendors on the wedding setup which was breathtaking. She stayed all night long and checked in personally with me throughout the entire night. I requested something, she made it happen. Jill, let me tell you, she is amazing too. She treated my mom and I with just grace a respect the entire time. She even reached out days after the wedding check in on me. She was professional and such a joy to work with. My wedding was the most magical night of my life, and I truly am so thankful I held it at the Marriott in Bur Ridge. Beautiful ballroom, beautiful rooms, beautiful outside for photos, just beautiful everything!! There isn't one thing I would ever change!! A million Thank Yous to everyone that played a part.

t the dinner rehearsal there as well. BEST idea ever! Let me start with the convenience factor. To all you MOGS (mother-of-grooms) deliberating on dinner rehearsal venues- trust me, having dinner just a 5-minute walk away is a complete game changer. Next- the space. We were initially interested in Marriott's outdoor patio due to its charming ambiance. Unfortunately, the weather was not our friend. Our event planners, however, displayed remarkable adaptability and seamlessly transitioned us to an indoor space with a beautiful view that ended up being the perfect fit for our group. The food was another highlight. I had a bit of insider knowledge on this one as I'd previously attended a work meeting here. We opted for the Mexican buffet at the rehearsal which, from the fajitas to the churros, did not disappoint! However, what truly set our entire experience apart was the consistent above and beyond efforts from the staff. Jill, Katrina, and the entire sales/event staff were insightful, patient, and intuitive to our specific needs. They didn't just orchestrate an event; they created a cherished memory. Thank you, Marriott!

Victoria helped us come up with our signature drink and its name, the Fall Bubbly, and Faby was also our day of coordinator who constantly checked-in to make sure we were happy and if we needed anything. Both were very professional and friendly. The entire staff including our coordinators were helpful, always ready to answer any questions we had and truly cared about us and our big day, which is a must-have trait from a venue for any couple getting married. My guests can't stop raving about the food (we recommend the Halibut because its to die for), the elegant decor (our Fall theme wedding was elegantly complimented by the gold and brown interior decor), and the amazing bartenders. While rain from the night before prevented us from doing the first look under the big willow tree, their patio overlooking the pond and willow tree was the perfect alternative location. If you pick this location, you will have a ton of location options for photos, both inside and out. Another benefit we really enjoyed was having everything all on-site. The ceremony, cocktail, and reception were in the same general area/floor of the hotel which eased the minds of our guests with mobility issues. he Marriott staff, who were amazing. Things we loved about the Burr Ridge Marriott: • One convenient – and beautiful - location. Easy to get to right off of I-55, we were able to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony under a willow tree on the property (more on that later), an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour on their awesome stone patio and the reception in the ballroom, and since it’s a hotel we didn’t need to arrange any transportation. • The food was excellent. We went with the grilled striploin, pecan crusted chicken, and an eggplant dish for our vegetarian option, but everything we tried during our tasting was incredible and would’ve been a good choice. One of the reasons we wanted a location in the suburbs rather than the city was that we didn’t want to have to worry about catering, and their kitchen did an amazing job. • Higher-end, but still affordable. We thought the Burr Ridge Marriott had the best outdoor area of anywhere we saw, at a price we could afford, and we also thought that the food and alcohol packages they offered were the best value for the money, like the 5 hour open bar. • Amazing, dedicated staff. Honestly, the best part of the Burr Ridge Marriott location was the way they took care of us from the moment we came to visit, especially Ella. They started going above and beyond for us at the very beginning. When we first saw the location, we thought it checked almost all our boxes, but were worried that the outdoor location on the patio might be a little narrow for our guests during the ceremony. Ella suggested that we have the ceremony elsewhere on the grounds, and found us a beautiful location under the willow tree to hold our ceremony – a location they’d considered, but never offered before. This is typical of the way we were treated throughout the planning and the wedding itself. The staff did so many wonderful things to make our day perfect, too many to list in a short review, so I’ll just say that you could tell they truly cared about how our day went and that made all the difference. We couldn’t be happier with how things turned out, and we didn’t even have a wedding planner. Things you might want to be aware of: • If you’re having an outdoor ceremony, you might want to order extra chairs. • The area under the willow tree does have a lot of goose poop. The Marriott cleaned it up before our ceremony so it wasn’t a problem for us. • We had the bridal party exit from the stairwell for the ceremony, which is the only way to get there through the building. The walk outside is short, but some guests found it confusing. I can’t recommend the Burr Ridge Marriott highly enough, and hope this review helps another couple have the wonderful experience we did. If possible I’ll update with pictures once we get them back from our photographer.

dream wedding on January 8th with 300+ guests. However, COVID had other plans. Due to the significant uprise in COVID cases and guests who reached out cancelling due to COVID, we had made the decision about 2-3 weeks prior to the date to post-pone our wedding. I was devastated. However, the Marriott and all their wonderful staff did not let me down. They immediately helped with changing our date and postponing our large wedding to a few months later. Any questions/concerns/thoughts we had were always answered promptly and they were so accommodating and helpful from the very beginning. With that being said, here we are on May 23rd, the weekend after my fairy tale wedding. The venue is absolutely stunning, the food could not have been better, the staff is beyond kind, friendly, and helpful, and I honestly have not a single bad thing to say about this venue. Trust me when I say, you will want to be hosting your wedding or event at this location!

Having good food was important to us and Marriott is NOT disappoint! The chief is amazing! Hor d'oeuvres, each entree, and late night snacks were DELISH! We didn't have any leftovers! I also cannot say enough wonderful things about the planners we worked with. Throughout the craziness of having to plan, and then reschedule our wedding multiple times (thanks, Covid) we were greeted with people who genuinely wanted us to have our big celebration. They were prompt and helpful with each question we asked. I would highly recommend the Marriott Burr Ridge for you to host your next event!

tic. As someone who is in the wedding industry, I have seen many great venues and others not so great, and the Marriott tops the list. From the beginning of the planning process, everyone I worked with was extremely quick to respond, was proactive with the information they needed, and are just the nicest people. Both Ella and Jill knew how much I wanted to get married outside and unfortunately when the day came the weather didn't cooperate. They created a backup option that was better than the original and everything went flawlessly. My maid of honor saw my detailed timeline, and she said everything was going according to plan to the minute. As a very type-A person, it was hard for me to let go of some of the planning processes, but I am sure glad I did because Ella and the team did better than I could have imagined. Ella is the sweetest and is fantastic at her job. The food was great and portions were huge. Chef Daniel checked in with my husband and I multiple times throughout the night to ensure everything met our expectations. It was the best customer service from a venue I have ever seen. I will be recommending the Marriott to everyone I know moving forward.

They were both so knowledgeable and insightful, helping us along every step of the way. There was never one circumstance that they were difficult to get a hold of. They went above and beyond to always be there for us with the fastest response times. They were quick on their feet, especially with some last minute changes and additions of guests last minute. They decorated our ballroom better than I could have imagined. As a bride, I knew I didn't have to worry because we were in the best hands. The Marriott had a beautiful, scenic patio overlooking a pond that was perfect for our cocktail hour. The ballroom is grand with plenty of space. In the same regard, they put together an amazing floor plan to make our 68 person wedding feel like a 150 person wedding. It didn't feel empty and we utilized all the space. They had a lounge bar that we enjoyed after the wedding. The hotel was recently renovated so everything was beautiful with a modern feel. All of the staff, including the serving staff (Captain Steve) and the bartenders were top notch. Rob and I were pulled away from dinner and Captain Steve sent our meals up to our room for us to enjoy later. The food was AMAZING! All of our guests commented on the size of the portions (huge) and how much they enjoyed it. The chef was excellent! They made our wedding day PERFECT in every way. I would recommend this venue for any sort of occasion, but especially for a wedding.

The hotel will work well with your vendors as well. Even the cake is included in your package here! They didn’t play hardball on anything, and didn’t come up with additional charges once we were in the process. As I do many events for work, I know that is the exception to the rule in this industry. The Presidential Suite also comes with your package, and this was amazing for the day of. The fact that the shopping center is a block away is fabulous for guests who arrive early. We really were happy with the Marriott. Their rep, staff, servers, and housekeeping were really terrific. We will always have a soft spot for this hotel and the staff that made it a very efficient, fun, and memorable process.

There was plenty of space for myself, bridesmaids, moms, hair and makeup artists, and photographer all to have enough room to be functional getting ready day of. Little did they know just how wonderful their day would turn out when they booked the room? Kelly did an outstanding job of making sure every detail was covered. Her hard work, organizational skills and pleasant demeanor reduced our stress and enhanced our experience. She made sure everything (except for a few minor hiccups out of her control) was set up as agreed upon and her team made sure the event went flawlessly. The banquet team was wonderful. They went out of their way to make sure that all our guest’s need were met. The food was served quickly and hot, the portions were generous and the soup, salad, chicken and steak were delicious. The dishes were removed once the guest was finished and the water glasses were replenished. The sweet table was beautiful and delicious. It was kept up and replenished all night. In addition to the above, a couple of other things that really impressed me were that the staff did not remove the water glasses until the end of the night and they did not take my drink if I walked away from the table. At other venues it is very upsetting when they take away a full drink as soon as you walk away. Thank you for not doing that. At the end of the night the staff did a wonderful job of collecting all the items that were ours and storing them for us to pick up the next day. The only suggestion I would make is to allow the guests to take home their left overs. I had a number of guests tell me how disappointed they were that the food they couldn’t eat was going in the garbage. Over all though we received many compliments on how delicious the food was and the overall comment I received was “that was a wonderful venue for a wedding”. Thank you to the Marriott Events Team for an outstanding job.
