My wedding venue offered a photography package at a discounted price, but when I looked at past weddings I felt like the photographs were super generic. These are photographs I would always look back on, and hang in my house. I did some research and found Chrissy. I saw Chrissy had written “fun, laid back, real” on her website and I was sold! That is exactly what Chrissy is, and I am so glad I went with Chrissy. I, my groom, our wedding party, and our family loved Chrissy and thought she did such a great job. I even had some people say they wish they knew about Chrissy when they got married. Only hard part is to be able to choose just a few of my favorite photographs to put them into a wedding album. I would 100% use Chrissy again, and would recommend her to everyone.

This review is LONG OVERDUE. We had our wedding in August 2021 and had Chrissy as our wedding photographer! From the moment we spoke on the phone I knew that I could trust and rely on her. Chrissy is so personable and really tries to know the couples she works with she made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions during our initial call. She goes above and beyond to make sure what we envisioned was executed. When I was having trouble deciding on outfits for our engagement photo shoot she was there to provide her honest opinion on which colors and patterns would work best for the location that we choose. Chrissy helped us with our day of timeline and made sure everything flowed well. On the day of our wedding, she was not only our photographer, hype woman but also our friend. Her energy is amazing and really helped us get out of our shells and just enjoy ourselves. She got along with all of our family, friends, and vendors. Her assistant was awesome too! Chrissy was AMAZING!! I knew when talked on the phone about what I wanted that she was going to be perfect. I love how professional and fun she is. She is very honest and up front with you (which is what you need with a wedding photographer). My husband (who hates taking photos) kept saying how fun it was taking our wedding pictures with Chrissy and how much he enjoyed her and her assistant. If you're looking for a wedding photographer who's down to earth, loves people (I mean anyone and everyone!), organized, and most importantly - passionate about her work, LOOK NO FURTHER! Chrissy is hands down one of the coolest people I've met and she is SO SO SO great at what she does - which is capturing the real you! I can't say I am comfortable in front of the camera but from the first time we've met for our engagement session, I immediately felt comfortable with Chrissy. It didn't feel like I had just met her! My husband and I both loved how comfortable she made us feel at our engagement session and absolutely cannot wait for our wedding day. Our wedding had been postponed a few times due to Covid and Chrissy was so understanding and accommodating. Let me tell you about the best photographer EVER! From the moment I first talk to chrissy I knew she was going to be the best fit for us. She is fun, outgoing, bubbly and all around a great person. Chrissy made our wedding photos look like they came out of a fairy tail book with a little extra spicy and a whole lot of dancing! Taking photos has always been uncomfortable for us but Chrissy made it easy, comfortable and just 100% real! When I look back at our photos it brings me right back to that moment and all the feeling come rushing back again. She was on top of everything from the timeline, to the details, and everything in between. I couldn’t imagine my special day without Chrissy. She is without a doubt the most amazing photographer anyone could ask for!

Chrissy is an absolutely amazing photographer and extremely fun to work with. Let me first say that neither my wife or myself enjoy taking pictures. However, Chrissy made us feel so comfortable and helped coach us up to get AMAZING photos for our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. She did a fantastic job at making suggestions in regards to timeline, poses, location, etc. for our photos. On the flip side, she also completely supported us when making independent decisions in the few instances when we did know what we wanted. Some of our favorite photos that came back were ones that she suggested and we would have never thought of. I cannot say enough about the time and effort Chrissy puts in to editing literally every single photo she sent back to us. We love hearing the reaction from friends and family about how amazing each and every photo we received looks in regards to coloring, focus, angle, etc. I was amazed with how well she managed our large (and easily distracted) wedding party and families. Her energy was infectious and really made the photo session fly by. We decided to do ALL of our photos before the ceremony on a very tight timeline and thanks to Chrissy we got all the shots we wanted with time to spare. Her assistant Brian was awesome as well. They both knew when to let us have fun and when to reel us in to move onto the next group or location. Chrissy was the perfect mix of experienced/organized/time-sensitive and lively/carefree/engaging that you could ask for in a photographer. We are so grateful to have found her for our Wedding Day and cannot imagine having used anyone else to document it!

I can't rave enough about Chrissy, every step of my experience. I pre-booked her more than a year before my wedding date, then COVID postponed it and she was very understanding, and she's incredibly fun and professional all at the same time. She was able to handle my challenging family dynamic, pic up on jealousy queues from each side of the family and fix them, and make myself and our whole party look incredible. Her photos are flawless yet real all at the same time, I feel like I'm reliving the moments every time I look at them. She is worth every penny

Partnering with Chrissy was one of the very best decisions we made when planning our wedding- we love her! Beautiful wedding pictures were a high priority for us and Chrissy’s portfolio quickly put her at the top of our list. However, it was the introductory phone call that sealed the deal. We just clicked! Chrissy brought her energy and passion to that call - and every interaction after that. We knew she’d be more than a wedding photographer but a fun, warm part of our team who would bring out our best selves for our pics. I’m not one who loves being in front of the camera but Chrissy helped us feel relaxed and very in the moment. Her assistant Katie was fab too - super nice and talented as well! Having an engagement session as part of her package was so smart - we got to shoot together before the big day and get to know each other. A big perk! Where do I even begin? Our journey with Chrissy started almost two years ago. We were on the search for the perfect wedding photographer who would be able to capture our full day of ceremonies. When we reached out to Chrissy and had our first phone conversation, we immediately knew she was the one! The conversation was seamless and we really connected well. It was like we had known her our whole life and were just catching up. From the very first day, she was 100% on top of it. She got every single detail down before the wedding day even began. Now, I would like to say that I am totally camera shy. I don’t take photos of myself at all, I think it’s super awkward so just the thought of having to take pictures made me cringe to my core. When we had our engagement session with Chrissy, all of those feelings went away. She made us, especially me, the bride, feel super comfortable and relaxed. She made us laugh, she made us smile and most importantly she got some amazing pictures. When the time came for our wedding, I was more than ready to get my show face on! The day of our wedding was absolutely perfect. She captured everything we had asked of her and let me just tell you, we asked for a lot. We just got our wedding photo gallery and WOW! Picking a photographer is tough, because yes, you might love their photos, but will you enjoy working with the person? The working relationship was equally as important as the actual photos, simply because my husband and I are VERY camera shy. Chrissy is full of energy and every session with her felt genuine. I can't say enough about Chrissy and her gorgeous photography. As a photographer myself, the first question I continued to get after my engagement was "Who is going to photograph YOUR wedding?" Chrissy had been a client of mine and I had been admiring her beautiful work for years, she congratulated my engagement post and I face palmed and said "DUH, CHRISSY!!!" She was who we needed. I knew I needed someone that could match me in loud energy and who could talk me out of my instinct to sabotage any photos of myself (There's a reason I prefer to work BEHIND the camera) Chrissy was absolutely the girl for the job. She produced the most sweet and fun engagement photos, despite a hangry and cranky fiancé who was not super thrilled about taking photos in 90 degree heat at a mini golf course. She fielded constant questions and concerns with the ongoing issues surrounding the pandemic. And when wedding day came, she absolutely ROCKED IT. The day started off with POURING rain, hail & wind! She showed up to us girls getting ready right as it cleared up and we got some great shots, then onto the venue where it started a torrential downpour once again. I was near tears, but she talked me off the ledge and got me back and excited again. This was the first rainy wedding day my coordinator had experienced in over 30 years of weddings. Things were delayed, times were cut short, but Chrissy pushed through and made do with what we could get-- despite a pandemic, despite a frazzled (but also amazing) coordinator and despite an insane rainstorm. The sky opened up to a gorgeous clear blue, with a dazzling rainbow right as I got set to walk down the aisle. And Chrissy (and her fabulous second shooter Sheryl) just created magic. She captured the crazy, the fun, the tears, the laughter, every moment and emotion throughout the day. We are beyond over the moon with these images and so in awe of how she managed to capture so much, especially being limited by the circumstances. My husband and I got married in October of 2020 amid some of the worst uncertainty of the year. As you can imagine, this was not an easy time to attempt to plan a wedding as every day brought new challenges and regulations that impacted every facet of the day. One of the only rock-solid foundations of our planning, and realistically our main source of confidence that everything was going to work out, was our wonderful photographer, Chrissy. Her attitude throughout the entire planning stages helped bring us calm, and her genuine excitement for our big day, even in the face of challenges, made us even more excited ourselves. Once the day finally arrived, her confidence behind the camera brought us confidence in front of it, and even though our wedding was much smaller than originally planned, our time with Chrissy capturing every moment made the day so much more full. None of this even begins to speak to her photographic skills! Chrissy captured in her images the very essence of the feel we wanted in our photos, which was a whimsical and moody fall wedding. Our final photos were stunning and you would have never guessed it was just a ceremony and toast. RUN. DO NOT WALK. To hire Chrissy as your photographer/confidant/friend for life. So I had a conversation in the beginning of Covid with Chrissy and automatically knew she was different. Coming from a bride that has a lot of brides as friends I had a very high bar set for who I wanted my photographer to be. Little did I know, I would come across the most amazing human being on the earth. She is tenacious, adventurous, caring, empathetic (with everything you ever go through), thoughtful, and the list could go on forever. And I say all of this and she hasn’t even shot our wedding yet. Our wedding is in 6 months but I can tell you one thing.... our experience so far has been so incredible I couldn’t wait to write a review about her. She has a way about her that just makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. She will do ANYTHING to get a special shot of you and your special someone. She will become apart of your family. She will listen to your concerns (we hated being in front of a camera) and she will make you feel like a supermodel. Not because she wants the business but because she really cares about her couples. I could ramble on for days. She is the most talented photographer I’ve ever come across. And she’ll be a life line for me and my family. We hired Chrissy for our wedding and let me tell you, she will forever be part of our fam. She is not only professional, incredible at what she does, and does what she says she is going to do... she is one of the easiest people to love (fun, passionate, and magnetic). From the moment we met her we knew we had to have her for our big day. She is more than just a “vendor”. She is a friend who helped us with any question we may have had and eased any concerns we had at every turn. Even during the stressful times Chrissy was there to guide us and give advice on things well outside the normal photographer realm. Like many others we did not feel like naturals behind the camera but Chrissy made us feel comfortable and she helped us have fun. We thought we would feel awkward but we laughed the entire time and enjoyed each other’s company with Chrissy encouraging us with every shot. We had a backyard wedding but with Chrissy’s talented eye, our pictures turned out looking like a fairytale venue and never once did she hesitate to do everything she could to find the perfect spot all while listening to what was important to us. Can you say perfection?! We both agree that hiring Chrissy was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process and would not have changed a single thing. We could not have had our beautiful wedding without the help of Chrissy. She is an amazing person whose pictures and personality were more than we could have dreamed of. If we could give Chrissy more than 5 stars we would. From the moment we first talked to Chrissy we knew we made the right decision! Chrissy went above and beyond to make sure we had not only the most amazing photos but a wonderful experience overall. It started with making my dream come true with the engagement session in Yosemite. All our pictures could not be more beautiful. Then when COVID hit, Chrissy was so flexible and supportive with our having to change dates...and then when we couldn't wait anymore and wanted to get married in two weeks she was all in. We can't say enough wonderful things about Chrissy: she is extremely talented, fun, supportive, and feels like a long lost friend. We can't wait to book more sessions with Chrissy throughout the years. You can't find better than her!

After one conversation with her my gut told me she was the one to capture the most intimate and special moment of our lives. Chrissy truly captures peoples emotions through her lens and her images will leave you speechless! For reals, call her NOW! Our story... The pandemic hit a few months before our wedding date. Chrissy was SO accommodating of our ever changing plans and she was down for whatever we ultimately chose to do, which every couple NEEDS to hear that when the possibility of their day that they envisioned for a lifetime was slowly slipping out of view. We ultimately went forward with our original date, but changed the venue and cut the guest list, and without Chrissy and her expertise I honestly don’t know what I would have done. She recommended an amazing beach location for our first look and our bridal party pictures. They are to DIE for! At our new venue (aka my parents backyard) she did what she does best, captured all the incredible emotions of our ceremony, all the new details, and everyone celebrating with many many shots of tequila, all completely on the fly as we were coordinating our own wedding at this point. Another important thing to note is Chrissy typically encourages an engagement shoot for us to all get comfortable together in front of the camera, which we totally were down for but covid forced us to cancelled that...lame. Even without that happening she brought out the best in us, gave clear and fun directions for poses and made us look like damn models!! I have been in 6 weddings, and no one, seriously no one, can do what Chrissy does. She truly is one of a kind and is a big ball of blonde fun wrapped in nothing but smiles and laughter. It’s safe to say she is our girl for all our life events from here on out. Hiring Chrissy is hiring an insanely talented friend for life. So seriously, call her and book her right now!

Chrissy was AMAZING! My husband and I had her shoot our engagement and wedding and we are so glad we did! She's full of energy and personality and made us feel so comfortable and try different things without feeling nervous or awkward. She climbed up crazy rocks with us and even slipped and cut herself at our engagement shoots, but still wanted to keep going and made sure we got the best lighting and angles, can we say AWESOME! If you want someone who's going to capture moments that you will look back at and awe, adore, laugh and cry Chrissy is your gal! My sister loved her so much also that Chrissy is going to be shooting her wedding in 2 weeks! If she doesn't know the venue where she's shooting, she will make sure to go there to check out the location before. All we can say is that Chrissy is a ROCKSTAR and you won't find a photographer as dedicated as her!

This is a long overdue review. Chrissy photographed our wedding in November 2019 - back when things were a little more normal. Almost a year later, she's still the BEST decision I made for my day. If you're scrolling through, undecided, stop now! You've got her. Chrissy is so rad and fun. I've never been professionally photographed so I was nervous. I felt like Ricky Bobby in Talladega Nights when he doesn't know what to do with his hands. She eased all of my nerves and concerns. She was extremely easy to work with. It felt like I was hanging out with a friend. Not to mention, ALL of my photographs were incredible! Stop shopping around and hire my girl. 11/10 stars. Honestly, you won't regret it! I am THRILLED that we hired Chrissy for our wedding. Easily one of my best vendor hires. She’s incredibly talented, easy going, FUN, and so down for anything. We had an outdoor Indian wedding at a Palm Springs estate. I really loved how candid and natural Chrissy’s pics were and I wanted that feel for our wedding pics. Other photographers that had experience with Indian weddings didn’t quite have her style. At first, I was a bit hesitant because Chrissy hadn’t shot an Indian wedding before. There are so many cultural and religious elements that would be new for her, not to mention the fact that my family is huge and hard to wrangle. And, let’s face it, Indian weddings are chaotic. I needed someone who could roll with it and handle the chaos. When I spoke with Chrissy on the phone for the first time, she totally put my mind at ease. She was so excited to shoot a different kind of wedding. AND she did not disappoint!!! Before we got to the wedding day (and after), communication was great. She makes you feel special and is genuinely excited to be part of your special day. The engagement pics were beautiful, and the shoot was so much fun. Even my fiancé who hates taking pictures usually had fun with it. Chrissy and her assistant were AMAZING day of. She was incredibly respectful while taking pictures of all of the cultural ceremonies before the wedding and the ceremony itself. Even my guests commented on how seamlessly she took pictures and how respectful she was of the religious ceremony. She was MASTERFUL and SO PATIENT with my family. She’s super flexible day of so when plans changed it was no big deal. She could totally handle the chaos of the day and just had fun with it. By the end of the night, Chrissy was best friends with half of the wedding guests--- no joke! We had a crazy fun reception and she captured it ALL! The pictures we got back are so incredible—they are stunning. The energy of the day and night leaps off the page. And we got our pictures back so quickly and the site was really easy to use and share. Look, there are a lot of talented photographers out there. But you are not going find another like Chrissy--who brings the talent and MUCH more to your day. Whatever kind of wedding you are planning Chrissy is DOWN FOR IT and the energy and joy she brings will make the day even better.

Chrissy was amazing for both my engagement and wedding shoot! She definitely knows her stuff and it shows. As nervous as I was for my engagement shoot, she did a wonderful job at making me feel comfortable and captured beautiful shots. On the day of my wedding, I already knew she was going to do a great job, so I left in all in her hands. I would totally recommend Chrissy!

Chrissy was recommended to us by a friend in the wedding industry. Because we lived a little further from her our first few interactions were over the phone. Immediately we felt very comfortable talking to her and could tell she would be a great fit for our wedding. We scheduled our engagement shoot with her and she drove all the way from San Clemente to Santa Clarita to come to the location we had chosen. Afterwards we went out for dinner and got to know each other even more and had such a great time. On our wedding day, Chrissy was so attentive and so helpful with everything; she almost took on the role of planner and photographer! She had done weddings at our venue before so she knew all the great spots for lighting and background. We received so many compliments about how fun Chrissy was from friends and family throughout the night and the days afterward! At the end of the night I felt sad to say goodbye to her because we had bonded so well and I truly felt comfortable with her. The ONLY issue we had was that due to car troubles, Chrissy was a little late to the hotel prior to getting to the venue so we did not get any pictures with our bridal party pre-dressed up. But that doesn’t take away from how beautiful our pictures came out! Our wedding album is gorgeous and a wonderful reminder of our special day. We would definitely use Chrissy for future photo shoots (maternity?!?) if she would have us :)

This review is LOOOONG overdue, but had to make sure to recognize how freaking AMAZING Chrissy is. When searching for a wedding photographer, we were looking for someone who was able to capture how weird we are together while also getting those glam money shots and Chrissy's portfolio stuck out immediately. She knows how to make people (even our most awkward friends) so comfortable and allow their personalities to shine through and it made for such beautiful and personal photos. We had only spoke to all of our vendors over the phone and Chrissy was the only one we actually met when she took our engagement photos (which are incredibly fun & true to us). Because of this (and because of how great she is), my nerves on my wedding day immediately went down when she arrived and I felt like everything was going to fall into place after that. She's so organized and knows EXACTLY what she's doing. She's a total Boss B and got things done efficiently without us feeling rushed or stressed (or looking like we were rushed or stressed in the photos). She worked so well with our other vendors and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Her second shooter, Sam, was so sweet and spent the morning with the boys and got some amazing photos of them and their relationships with each other. Whenever an occasion comes up where we need a photographer again, we'll always come back to Chrissy. You will not be disappointed!!

We hired Chrissy to be our photographer for our wedding and honestly, we cannot recommend her enough! If we could give 10+ stars, we would. From day one with our initial phone interview, she was super interested in getting to know us, seeing what our vibe was, and making sure she was a good fit for us. When we told her that we were having a COSTUME PARTY WEDDING, she shrieked with excitement (we hadn’t even officially hired her at that point!) It was clear that she was going to be a great match for us. Chrissy couldn’t wait to shoot the engagement photos for us, and as she said, get to know us a little better. Due to our compressed timeline, the engagement photos were only two weeks before the wedding, and we were tempted to skip them altogether – Chrissy insisted that we should do them, and we acquiesced. She was right – the engagement photos turned out even better than we could have hoped for as we made our way around downtown Long Beach. Chrissy has a great eye for backgrounds, and coached and directed us with ease and confidence. For our pre-wedding day-of photos, we were planning to just do them at the venue (which was very practical and not very photogenic). Again, Chrissy stepped in – she and her team got to the area early (on their own personal time) to scout out some locations for us ahead of time and we ended up taking some fantastic photos against the very colorful background of Long Beach’s street art and food vendors. This is just another example of Chrissy’s commitment to the people she works with and her very high level of care about the final product. Adding to all of this, Chrissy and her crew were also in costume!! She really understood our vibe, and leaned in with us. She went above and beyond to make sure that not only did we get great photos, but that we felt comfortable and at ease the entire time. Our venue did not have the best lighting or backdrops, but Chrissy was able to work her editing magic and ensure that we got dozens and dozens of outstanding photos. She was super responsive leading up to the wedding, making sure that we had a timeline, that we knew what photos we HAD to have, and working with us on a day-of schedule. After the ceremony, she and her crew did a fantastic job of wrangling 194 guests into 22 different group photos with maximum efficiency. After it was all over, Chrissy stayed in touch with us to let us know when we could expect photos, etc. She posted a small collection of photos shortly after the wedding, just so that we and our guests could have a few photos ASAP (it was really great timing, as the COVID-19 lockdown had just started and there was a lot of uncertainty with what was going to happen). When she finished editing the remainder of the photos, she sent them over to us along with a great photo montage video that even featured our songs from the wedding! Chrissy went above and beyond in every possible way, from her attention to detail and eye for photos to her coordination and effort on the day of to ensure we had the best possible photos with the minimum amount of effort on our part. Seriously, Chrissy is an absolute GEM and you will be thrilled with your decision to hire her.

If you are reading this you are probably where I was about a year ago, trying to piece together a wedding and having no clue where to start. If you will take advice from me, a complete stranger than do yourself a favor and book Chrissy. I won't take your time and talk to you about her work because that speaks for itself. I'm here to tell you that when you book Chrissy you wont just get amazing photos you get something you can never pay for, a friend. Yes I know that sounds cheesy but believe me when I say that it is true, from the first time we spoke I literally wanted to invite her over just to hang for drinks! Fast forward to our wedding day, lets start with it RAINED at our OUTDOOR wedding, obviously I was incredibly upset and between my bridesmaids and Chrissy they got me so freaking excited about the rain that we took pictures out in the rain and they are the cutest photos of my gang ever! Chrissy loves LOVE and goes above and beyond believe me, so just send her a message and thank me later. Chrissy Gilmartin is not only the most magical photographer but one of the best human beings we could have brought into our lives.

BEST PHOTOGRAPHER EVER! Chrissy has the ability to make you feel like you have known her for years. She makes you feel comfortable and knows exactly what to say to make you get the best/most genuine shots. On my wedding day, I was not feeling great and she was so patient with me and made me feel supported. I would 100% recommend her to any couples out there looking for engagement or wedding photos. WOW! What can I say about Chrissy? Thank goodness there's a 3,000 word limit because I could go on and on about how absolutely PERFECT she is! My husband and I got married on January 5th of this year and every time we speak to our guests the first thing out of their mouth is "Oh my gosh, your photographer was amazing! She's the best! We love her!" (and that's before they even congratulate us!). I am so glad I found her after stalking venue instagrams for months. I knew I needed someone fun, creative, and incredibly talented with perfect color grading skills, and I got that in Chrissy. We genuinely couldn't find a bad picture in the bunch and actually had a hard time narrowing down what pictures we'd put in our photo album. She captured our day perfectly and we are so happy to be able to look back at our wedding day and see how much fun everyone had. I just wanted to start off by saying that Chrissy seriously does not NEED another review...I mean I would be surprised if she isn’t already completely booked this year AND the next!! So if you’re reading this while considering booking Chrissy for your big day, keep your fingers crossed and email her NOW…like NOW!!! It will be the best decision you ever made!! My husband and I totally fell in love with Chrissy for several reasons. First, when we were browsing through TONS of websites and instagram pages of potential photographers for the wedding, Chrissy’s work immediately stood out. Pristine editing aside, we couldn’t help but notice how DIVERSE her clients were and how BEAUTIFULLY she captured every single couple. She clearly knew how to make EVERYONE feel fabulous and comfortable in their own skin. My husband is pretty camera shy, and I can tell you that even he was won over by Chrissy from the very beginning! Her kind, warm, bubbly personality just completely overwhelms you! You can’t help but feel like you’ve known her for years and she’s a friend that just happens to know how to take the most amazing photos. I also wanted to say that Chrissy is incredibly considerate and has a professional attitude. The day that we initially had our engagement photoshoot session planned, her baby boy unfortunately started feeling very sick at school and had to be picked up pronto. Just as I finished my trial hair/makeup session, Chrissy called me to apologize and say that she unfortunately had to reschedule with us. BUT, when I let her know that I would now have to plan for another hair/make up session since I just used up my trial, she offered to cover the next one. Chrissy also provided really great tips for what to wear, what to bring, etc., so my husband and I definitely felt prepared going into the engagement shoot. And can I say what a BLAST we had? I have never smiled/laughed so much in my life!! Even my husband was dancing around on the beach being super goofy! It was definitely a day to remember thanks to Chrissy! That’s not to mention our ACTUAL wedding day…! I can’t remember ever crying so much on a single day. Not just me…the whole wedding party, my husband, and our parents! And Chrissy captured all of these special, dear moments with absolute PERFECTION. She was so much fun to work with throughout the whole day and always made sure that we were comfortable. My husband and I felt pretty shy about PDA, but Chrissy totally did not judge and told us that she still wanted us to have our own moments privately even if she wasn’t there with her camera. We were SO thankful for her support and understanding!! She even stayed longer into the night than she needed to, just out of the goodness of her heart! <3 When we got our photos back, we were just BLOWN AWAY. She had them done in only a little over 2 months, AND there were SO many photos we couldn’t even get through them the first few nights that we sat down to relive our wedding day. We were absolutely amazed at the quality of her work and couldn’t help but keep saying “WOW!!” Long story short, my husband and I could not more strongly recommend a wedding photographer. We are so fortunate to have found Chrissy and to have made a wonderful friend throughout this journey. When we have the 10+ children that Chrissy has demanded from us, we know who we will be coming back to for family photos!! ;)

As I was looking for a photographer, many of the images in their portfolios seemed “cookie cutter” like. They seemed to have very similar poses, and as I would be flipping through hundreds of pictures, they started to look all the same. Only difference would be the venue, bride, and groom. Those who know us, know we are FAR from cookie cutter! We are a couple of fun, adventurous, and spontaneous human beings. After all, we did meet in Japan while we were both serving in the Marines. I would get more frustrated the closer our wedding date approached, and we still didn’t have engagement photos for our save-the-dates. Having a photographer is one of the most important details for any wedding, and I refused to pick just anyone who was going to match our budget. My MIL sent me one “hail mary” of a link knowing exactly what I was looking for. It was the link of Chrissy’s Photography Website. I started looking at all the couples she had photographed over the years and as I clicked to go to the next image I could almost hear the laughter through my laptop screen of these amazing couples she had beautifully captured. That link was the answer to all my frustrations. Her images captured the twinkle in the grooms eyes as he saw his soon to be wife for the first time, or the tear rolling down the father’s cheek as he gave his baby girl away. I knew she had to be our photographer! I wanted those images of my special day to be captured by her and turned into not just some picture frame on our mantel, but a work of art. Due to my busy schedule with work, and my need to have our engagement session as soon as possible, I was unable to meet her in person for the first time. She was super understanding and we did a phone conference instead. Even as I spoke to her over the phone, I could not get over the sense of how passionate she was about her photography. I felt that our pictures NEEDED to be outdoors as most of our adventures were outside, he even asked me to marry him on one of our spontaneous camping trips. We had scheduled our engagement session on what was suppose to be beautiful sunny week, but became a cloudy rainy one. The days just seem to fly off the calendar, I could feel the pressure of the BIG day getting closer, rescheduling would not be an option. My phone rang the night before, and I thought she was going to cancel. Chrissy knew how important it was to us to have an outdoor shoot, so she asked if we were comfortable shooting in the rain. My jaw literally dropped!!! That’s when her dedication just started to shine! I am not a photographer, but I do know a little bit about lighting, shutter speed, and of course about how water and expensive electronic equipment don’t mix! The next day this beautiful blonde came out of her SUV and introduced us to her “umbrella holder” husband! You guys!!!! She actually brought her husband with her to help hold an umbrella for her!! They say a picture is worth a million words, well just look at how much of a committed artist she is. This blonde was almost knee deep in a fast flowing creek, climbing slippery tree trunks and all while she steadily held a camera to make sure we had the shots we wanted. She truly holds up to the saying “adapt and overcome”, and that she did by managing not only to create new memories of us splashing around, getting muddy and wet, but turned a campground into a romantic rainy outdoor photo-op. With her quick turn-around time, I was able to get our Save-the-Dates out!

I hope that my review can do Chrissy justice. Honestly, if you are reading this review you HAVE to hire her. She’s the best find on the KNOT or any other wedding website. Besides being incredibly easy to work with (kind, fun, responsible, laid back, generous) she is an amazing artist. I am an artist myself (painter and pro musician) so I’m very picky about aesthetics. Her photos are so artistic and capture emotion. My husband and looked through many photographers portfolios. We couldn’t believe how boring most photographers images were. The ONLY problem in hiring Chrissy is that every image is so beautiful that it’s hard to choose our favorites (both with our engagement pics and wedding pics). Hire Chrissy if you want a smooth experience and to look back on your special day as if you’re reliving the moment.

Chrissy was amazing from the beginning to the end! My husband and I can be somewhat camera shy and Chrissy's enthusiasm, energy, confidence helped to drew us out of our shells. When we first met her for coffee, we clicked right away, and I knew this was someone I could trust to capture my wedding day. She loved all of our wedding ideas and made suggestions along the way so that our day could be the best. We did our engagement shoot with Chrissy at the UC Riverside Botanical Garden (we wanted a desert look), and it really helped us to get to know each other and become more comfortable posing in the front of the camera. Chrissy gave us directions, but everything felt natural. The pictures came out gorgeous! The album with our engagement pictures is proudly displayed in our home, and all of our family and friends compliment the pictures when they look through it. In preparing for the wedding, Chrissy had a detailed questionnaire to help know what specific things we wanted - it included lots of things I wouldn't have thought of! We opted to do a first look before the ceremony, and I'm thankful we did because it gave my husband and I time to have pictures of just us. Chrissy made taking the bridal party pictures fun (from the groomsmen tossing the groom into the air to us gals strutting toward the camera) and the family pictures efficient (we both have somewhat large, and on my side, loud, families - she made everything go smoothly). We got our final gallery of pictures around a month after our wedding (much sooner than expected - especially during peek summer wedding season), and every picture highlighted and captured the love and celebration of the day. I'm incredibly thankful to have found Chrissy! If you're looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, professional, and amazingly fun photographer to work with, Chrissy is the one!

We could not be happier with our choice in wedding photographer! First and most importantly, Chrissy took the most amazing pictures of us for our wedding and engagement photos, and they are pictures that we will print and frame and hang in our home and cherish forever. She was so easy to work with, professional and punctual, and made us and our families feel so comfortable on the big day. Chrissy is hands down, an unbelievably talented photographer. She’s very easy to work with and her sassy attitude works perfect to get the pictures done quick. She took our engagement session and did our entire wedding. I would definitely spent the extra money getting the second shooter because she was able to get pictures that Chrissy wasn’t. I highly recommend Chrissy as a wedding photographer. She is super sweet and easy to get along with. I usually feel very uncomfortable getting my photo taken and Chrissy made me feel totally at ease AND she made me look like a model! She has an artistic eye and does a great job of setting up shots. Her positive energy is contagious and she is totally the type of person you want to have at a party. She got our engagement photos back to us the day after the shoot and sent us a preview of our wedding photos (40-45 photos) the day after the wedding. Sometimes you come across someone that has such a light about them and it is very contagious, well that my friends is Chrissy in a nutshell. She is so incredibly warm and bubbly, and probably the most fun person to talk to ever. When I talked to Chrissy for the first time it was as if we had been friends for years. She was so easy to talk to and I knew from our first conversation that I just had to have her as our wedding photographer. What first drew me to Chrissy was her style and her ability to capture candid moments that seemed so effortless and yet so elegant. I am in general an extremely picky person and I have always hated those typical wedding pictures that everyone has of all the same poses and with everyone just standing there looking straight at the camera smiling. I definitely did not want those generic boring photos. So when I came across Chrissy’s work, I was so blown away. I quickly pointed out to my fiancé at the time, that this is what I wanted. Chrissy seemed to capture real emotions, real candid moments, and the real excitement of the day. We met Chrissy when we did our engagement shoot and let me tell you, it was probably the most fun I have ever had taking pictures. I had a little entourage of family and friends with us and she had us all cracking up and in love with her within minutes. The pictures turned out so lovely and so artistic. I was ecstatic to use them as the main focal point for our wedding invitation. And I used a lot of them to display in frames at our reception and got so many compliments. I now have those great pictures hanging in our home and just love them. Having Chrissy at our wedding was like having a close friend there the whole time. She is so amazing, she captured our day like it was a story. There is so much light and life in all of our pictures. You get a real sense of the joy and emotions of that day. It was truly effortless and honestly felt like I had one of my closest friends around us. Chrissy has a more killer squad than Taylor Swift’s. Simone Jaramillo was an amazing second shooter who captured so many beautiful elements and amazing candid shots. And Kaylee Duke, our videographer blew us away with her artist eye and amazing editing skills. These three ladies knocked it out of the park. I couldn’t be happier with my choice to have them capture our day. At the reception when it came time to dance, I looked over to see the three of them singing along with huge smiles on their faces and that made me so happy to see that they were genuinely enjoying themselves and you could see how much they truly loved their work because of the joy that radiates from them. If you can’t tell already, I highly recommend Chrissy and her squad. These ladies were amazing and now I have proof of what an awesome day we had and I have added more people to love in my life!

There are not enough positive adjectives to describe our experience working with Chrissy Gilmartin for our wedding photography. From the second we picked her she was an absolute delight to work with. Our engagement shoot was amazing thanks to her. She made us feel really comfortable and totally not akward which resulted us in having pictures we will cherish forever! She compiled a bunch of our engagement pictures into a book and surprised us with it. She really is the sweetest! The day of the wedding went seamlessly and Chrissy fit right in with our family and friends. It seriously felt like she was another guest at our wedding which made everyone super comfortable and I’m sure the pictures will be beautiful. I didn’t want to spend a whole lot of time taking pictures, I just wanted to join the party, and Chrissy rolled with that and made sure we got all the pictures combinations with the family members we wanted in a small amount of time. Chrissy is so great! She photographed our surprise engagement. She was so sneaky about it that I didn't even realize she was there until after my fiancé was down on one knee! Her photos were beautiful! She is so fun and was so excited for us that it made the whole evening even more special. I would highly recommend Chrissy!!!

The amount of stress that can go into a photoshoot is tremendous when you are in front of the camera. Let me start by saying Chrissy was texting me back and forth days before and night before the shoot giving me pointers, even helping me pick the best color combo outfit for the beach shoot. She even helped narrow down which props would be best for our on location set. Of course life throws you curve balls and day of- FOG! Not one ounce of sun dang it, trust me I wasn't sang dang either!!! No fear, she quickly ran with plan 2 and moved cities and beaches to get us the quality shots. May I just say, do yourself a huge favor don't look any further and book this talented and way too sweet pretty lady for your special day. Wedding, engagement (we did), family etc. it is worth the investment!

Chrissy is an amazing photographer and person. We first met her over drinks to scout locations for our wedding day photos and we knew right then she would not only capture great photos for our wedding day, but be an enjoyable and fun addition to our bridal party for the day. During the evening, she and her assistant captured a bunch of photos. Even though she left after 10 p.m., she sent me a "sneak peak" with over 20 photos the next day! Now that's dedication. The photos look amazing and I cannot wait to see the rest of them! You won't regret hiring Chrissy. Chrissy is not only an amazingly talented photographer but a great person. She became a quick friend which made taking pictures a breeze and actually a good time.
