e didn’t hire a videographer and looking back we didn’t need one. Christie can tell the whole story of your wedding and your emotions, no video needed and far more beautiful if you ask me. Plus she’s just so much fun to work with, from her personality to the prompts she gives us to get the best shots. I truly cannot recommend a photographer more highly!

how to navigate the different vendors when you couldn't meet anyone in person. Christie was so warm and welcoming on the phone and walked us through all the questions we had. Our engagement shoot was a year later, which I absolutely recommend doing for a few reasons. Not only do you get beautiful shots at a gorgeous location (which she'll help recommend if you need!), but you get to play around with the lighting, poses, etc and become more comfortable in front of the camera if you're a bit shy like I was. Christie helped us discover the angles we loved, unique posing ideas that felt very natural and fun, and was super receptive to making sure we loved everything. Then, she was an absolute rockstar on our wedding day itself! She scoped out ideal places to do all the different shots and made sure we got some incredible group family shots after the ceremony. Then, she did a 5-minute (seriously, we timed it!) golden hour shoot with us which resulted in the best shot of the entire wedding in my opinion. We have an entire portfolio of stunning photos that we get to treasure for years to come! I cannot recommend Christie highly enough - if she is available for your wedding day, BOOK HER!

We had our engagement shoot short after and I was blown away not only by the beauty of the pictures she took but by the way she helped my husband and I relax and feel comfortable in front of the camera. Fast forward to our wedding day this past September. I remember being so excited for her to arrive at our venue and I kept telling everyone all about her and how much they'd love her. We did sunset pictures across the street and then a private last dance at the end of the night both of which Christie got some amazing pictures of. We received our sneak peak pictures after we got home from our honeymoon and it was such a great surprise. I was STUNNED when I saw them. I was so blown away by all the moments that she captured that day. You're so busy on your wedding, you have no chance to absorb the beauty of the day so seeing it in her pictures was such an amazing feeling. We received all of our pictures recently and made an entire night of it just going through them. We laughed and cried tears of pure joy while looking at them. I have not a single clue how I'm supposed to narrow them down to make a wedding album! Without any doubt, Christie was the best choice we made when planning our wedding. And after our venue, hair and makeup, and photographer had all been forced to cancel on us, my fiance and I were left feeling very helpless. Fortunately, we were not hopeless as we found some gorgeous photos on the internet with a name and number attached. Christie Heimbach Photography. After one phone call, this talented artist blew new life into our wedding plans and revitalized what was initially seeming like such a sad turn of events. Although the 250 guest wedding we had planned for was still postponed, my fiance and I were still married in a deeply intimate and evermore beautiful ceremony in the midst of an apple orchard before our immediate family and pastor. No moment in our life has ever been so sacred, and only through the raw talent of Christie did such a sacred moment get so perfectly captured. Being in front of a camera was something that my fiance and I were very uncomfortable with and had made it clear to Christie. However, there was some spark in this woman's heart that brought forward a newfound comfortability in us. She made us feel safe and unjudged, she created the perfect moments for us to naturally feel the intimate love that we had as if we were alone in the orchard, and in those moments, Christie created magic. Christie had no problem getting into weird positions like straddling me to get over head shots or lying on the ground between me to get shots of us looking down at her! I truly can't pick a favorite photo because I love all of them, the romantic ones, the funny ones, the candid ones and the ones we planned.
