Never would I have thought I would have fun plus size gown heaven just off interstate 91 in Hartland, VT. Chris is an honest to goodness fairy godmother. I thought shopping for my wedding dress was going to be one of the hardest part of planning my wedding, but Chris made it painless and fun. I would recommend Christines to anyone who think because of their curvy figure dress shopping is going to be a nightmare.

I had the most genuine experience at Christine’s Bridal and finally said yes to the dress! I had been to two shops before I found them and had started to become discouraged in my hunt for my wedding gown. As soon as my mother and I walked in, Chris made us feel right at home! She took the time to explain the different silhouettes to me and never made me feel rushed. She helped us understand the different styles and fabrics, and there were many to choose from! Finding THE dress with Chris was an amazing experience that left me feeling confident and beautiful. I wish I had gone to her first! I would very highly recommend going to Christine’s Bridal! Chris makes sure to give each bride very personal attention. Even before going to the shop she wants to know what you are looking for. Be prepared to answer an emailed survey and send her pictures of what you are thinking. When I got there she had a good idea of what I would like. The second dress I tried is the one I ordered. Chris has designed most of the dresses so she does offer some customization. For example I wasn't liking the buttons all the way down the back of the dress... no problem they will just leave them off. Also she locks the door so you are the only bride there and get her full attention. I would recommend this store to any plus size bride.

Christine was wonderful... I had appts at 2 other bridal stores but cancelled after going to Christine's Bridal... I found my dress she was very patient with me as I had so many ideas but the ideas on me weren't what I had pictured..... I told her the parts I liked from different dresses and she pulled out the one it. The dress was my size and was able to take it home that day.... Having g dresses in my size made it easier to get a better idea of what I really looked like in them. I said, “Yes to the dress!” At Christine’s bridal and I could not be happier. I originally was going to order a dress online and I’m SO thankful that I chose to go see Chris! She made the whole morning dedicated to finding my wedding dress. The dress I left with and fell in love with was NOTHING like I was looking at online. She was determined to make me comfortable and find the dress of my dreams. It’s very safe to say she succeeded! Would recommend this bridal shop to anyone that is in need of a dress!

I would totally recommend Christine’s Bridal. I went to four other dress shops before going to her. She started out by telling us about the dresses I was looking for and took my opinions into account. I also loved that she brought in a few of her own dresses to pull me out of my comfort zone! She was nothing but real and up front from the moment I walked through the door! I regret not setting up an appointment with her sooner than I did.

I am terrible at getting around to writing reviews. But I had such a wonderful experience with Chris that I wanted to recommend her to other future brides. My aunt actually found Christine's bridal while searching for plus size dress shops online. Spoiler Alert. They are RARE! Many shops have plus size dresses in their inventory. But not many specialize in plus size dresses like Christine's. I felt beautiful the entire time. The size and dress options prevented my from feeling "too large to be a bride". I ended up finding the most beautiful one-of-a-kind dress that I took home that day. Chris also gave me a list of people she recommended to alter her dresses. This list was very helpful when figuring out who was going to do my alterations. Thanks Chris!

I HIGHLY recommend going to Christine’s Bridal for wedding dress shopping. I had gone there when I was shopping for my high school prom dress, at a time when I wasn’t plus sized. Knowing how hard it is to shop for plus sized clothes that are comfortable, I was really nervous to try on dresses. Chris really made me feel like the most important person in the room. It was my first (and last!) shop I tried on wedding dresses at, so I didn’t really know exactly what I wanted. She did a wonderful job helping me narrow down my options without making it feel like an overwhelming process. Once I found a dress that I couldn’t stop smiling in, she brought out the veil and, that was it, I knew it was the one! Thank you for such an unforgettable experience!

As a plus size gal, I've always had troubles finding clothes that fit for a price I was comfortable with. For me, clothes shopping is always full of compromises. So since I got engaged I've been worrying -- Where could I go that would have dresses on the rack in my size? Would I have options? Would I spend 3x more for "extra fabric"? Would I even be able to find a dress in my size at all?! I was a bridesmaid a few months ago and made the 2+ hour drive to another plus size dress store in Fall River to find my bridesmaid's dress and had virtually no options in my size. The sales clerks were nice, but ultimately I had to just pick a size 2 sample dress off the rack, get my measurements taken, and hope the dress that arrived 2 months later looked good. It didn't. $200+ of alterations later, I was left with a dress that fit but was clearly not proportioned for a person my size. I made due with my bridesmaids dress, but this time around I took a chance on a new store. And I am so so SO delighted I did. It was completely night and day from my experiences at two other stores! For starters, Christine closed the whole shop for our party and gave us her full attention for almost two whole hours. Her show room was gorgeous with sturdy chairs, a large platform that I felt safe standing on and an entire wall of mirrors. Like the rustic Vermont version of Say Yes to the Dress. My party had a blast, and Christine was very helpful and attentive. Best yet, when I signed up for my fitting, Christine asked me for pictures of dresses I liked and when I arrived she had pulled dresses that resembled the ones I picked! I tried on at least 8 dresses before I made my final decision. Many of them were good and I felt like I had a lot of options. If I had changed my mind and wanted a drastically different style, I'm pretty sure she would've had me covered for that, too. At the end of the day I found a dress I loved that made me look better than I ever expected. But best of all, I didn't feel embarrassed or awkward...I just felt like a normal bride.

Hands down the BEST experience ever. Christine’s Bridal is a wonderful plus size shop. I am a bigger girl and it’s very hard for me to find clothes that fit right, especially dresses. Chris made me feel so comfortable and beautiful and confident, she didn’t make me feel fat or ashamed of my body. Each dress I tried on was beautiful and they all fit, they adjusted to my and my body and that’s what they are made for, to fit every big beautiful curvy bride. Im a sparkle girl and she did not disappoint, there was so much sparkle and different styles, anything from simple and elegant to blinged out and gorgeous. I had so much fun. Definitely the place to go!

I am so happy that I picked Christine's Bridal to be my first wedding dress shopping experience. I'm not a "girly girl" and dresses aren't my thing, but Christine was so patient and welcoming that she made the process easy, stress free, and fun for both me and my mom. Her dress designs are all flawlessly beautiful. She was so thoughtful and helped me feel great about myself no matter what dress I was in. Her process for eliminating gowns of all shapes, colors and fabrics kept me from feeling the least bit overwhelmed (which is what I expected!) I'm happy I said "yes" at Christine's bridal and I HIGHLY recommend it to any bride no matter their fashion taste or size.

I could not be happier with my experience at Christine’s Bridal. Chris was professional, knowledgeable and she made me feel so comfortable! I went in with very little self esteem and when I left, I was smiling ear to ear after finding the dress of my dreams! I didn’t want to take it off! My visit to Christine’s Bridal exceeded all expectations!! Who would have thought in the little town of Hartland Four Corners, Vermont you would have found a bridal dress shopping experience that could compete with Kleinfeld’s from “Say Yes to the Dress”. The staff was knowledgeable, congenial, supportive and invested in my happiness. Not only did I find a dress that was fabulous (designed by Christine!!), it was also at a fabulous value. This is wedding heaven for us curvaceous ladies!

I said YES to my dress at Christine’s Bridal and I had an amazing experience. It was my first stop on my dress hunt and was planning to go to another shop after visiting Christine’s to make sure I had the right dress. I did not need to go anywhere else because Christine not only found me the perfect dress, but she also explained the different styles and fits of all the dresses I tried on. We found what worked best on my body and what fit in my budget. She was so knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend this shop to anyone!

I can’t say enough positive things about Christine’s Bridal. From the moment I walked in I felt special. I really wasn’t sure what to expect but when every dress she had me try on fit I was ecstatic! Chris was knowledgeable and very sweet. She made me feel like a princess. It was a memorable experience. And I got my “wow” dress. Thanks so much!!!

First and foremost I just want to say that I found my dream wedding dress. I went to ANOTHER PLACE BEFORE here and was made to feel ashamed, like I didn't belong. Now Its not a secret that I am not a small girl, but to be sent home crying from what should have been an amazing day is unacceptable for any women. Well my cousin seeing how upset I was, called Christine's Bridal and filled them in on what happened. It wasn't even two weeks of emailing and talking with the Owner Chris, that I had my appointment. So my mom, sister- in law, cousin, friend and I headed to Heartland VT. When you walk into this place you are immediately treated like family. From the door to the dressing room, there is not one moment I felt nervous, or like I didn't belong. The owner Chris helped me with every gown, made sure all my needs were met. I have even decided to change where the men were going to get their tuxedos to Christine's Bridal. The place and Chris are without a doubt absolutely wonderful. I will be going here from now on for all my formal wear for sure!!!!

I went to two other places before ending up at Christine’s Bridal. It was worth the wait! While I found several other dresses that I liked, I hadn’t found the dress yet. When I walked in Chris was so welcoming and after talking to her for a couple minutes she really managed to pin down exactly what I wanted where the others fell short. Every gown she pulled for me to try on was gorgeous. The best part was every single gown made me feel beautiful, Needless to say, I found my dress and Chris was an absolute jewel. Thank you so much for helping me to find my perfect dress.

First off she gave us such a warm welcome when we first arrived traveling from NY. She made us feel right at home. She made me feel special in every dress I tried on and asked for my opinion on everything. She asked the other people I brought with me as well but made sure to let them know that my opinion was the final one. I love my dress that I chose and can not wait for others to see it thanks again

Can’t say enough about this place and Chris herself. Chris was wonderful! The whole experience from start to finish was relaxing and so helpful. She taught me and my party so much about dresses and what was really out there. Her unique and gorgeous designs and her personal touch really helped make the experience. It also helped me make a decision on a beautiful dress that she designed and I know nobody else will have. So glad to have found his hidden gem in Hartland!

What a great experience at Christine's Bridal. The attention to detail and brides wishes/vision was so appreciated. Customer services is great, in an intimate, one-on-one setting, which made me feel extremely comfortable. I made an appointment today not knowing what to expect, as this was my first time trying on dresses, but I felt like I was in good hands the whole time. I just want to share with you guys what a wonderful experience I had at Christine's bridal in Hartland I went in there nervous unsure and I was greeted with such kindness and reassurance that I was making the right decisions I was treated like a Queen! When it came down to purchasing my bridal gown Chris the owner actually let me know that they had a payment plan which I was Thrilled about because I had Discussed with her prior to making my appointment that money was tight but I had to have my dream dress. She also helped me through all the little details that get lost and forgotten when you're planning a wedding. I also really enjoyed our experience purchasing bridesmaids dresses Which we did at a separate appointment which I really liked that we did that so that the bridal appointment trying on my dress was all about me and then the next appointment with the bridesmaids was all about them I really liked the way that was set up it made me feel like a Queen And made my girls also feel super important! All of the fashion seemed really current trendy really up todate on the current styles and looks everyone really wants to have.The one-on-one interaction that you get there is so personal it means so much more than going to a franchised bridal shop and you run through there by yourself with not a clue what to do chris spends that 1 on 1 time with just you and it makes all the difference. I will definitely be recommending Christine's bridle for any bride and bridal party they really made my experience absolutely wonderful!

I had a really great appointment with Chris at Christine's Bridal. I went there after a not-so-great experience at a big box bridal store, where I had felt a lot of pressure to make a decision without really knowing what I was doing. As soon I I entered Chris' shop I felt instantly at ease. She took my measurements and then thoroughly explained all the dress lingo to me- the fabrics, styles, costs of different materials etc. I appreciated that so much! She then fit me into about 6 different dresses, all of which were in stock in my size (bridal 14-16), and that was great because my wedding is soon enough that I don't have time to order anything. I felt very comfortable and no pressure- just what I needed to make the right decision. Also, my two friends and I were the only people in the shop (she only does one bridal appointment at a time and we went during the week when the prom shoppers were in school). That was also great because it was nice and quiet so I could actually focus on finding a dress and not be distracted by other shoppers. It's worth a visit, for sure.

I highly recommend Christine’s Bridal to all brides looking for the perfect dress. I had gone to other bridal shops and left feeling unimpressed and overwhelmed. Christine is so knowledgeable and has a knack for picking dresses for a bride to try on that are flattering and extremely well made. She pulled some beautiful options based on my preferences and really helped me narrow down the choices as we went so that I would not be overwhelmed by having too many dresses to choose from all at once. I found this extremely helpful. Christine has created a really nice environment in which to try on dresses. Christine does not book multiple brides at the same time so you can be assured that you will have privacy and a truly personalized experience unlike some other bridal shops in which you walk out of a dressing room to an audience of strangers. Shopping at Christine’s was an experience like no other. Immediately we felt so welcome. Chris took my measurements and then sat us all down to talk about the different styles and materials, something the previous bridal shop I had visited did not do. She used my “inspiration pictures” to get a feel for what I liked and went into the back room of dresses and pulled one to get an idea of my size. Spoiler alert: this is the dress I bought! She was so in tune with what I liked and was able to read my body language when I wasn’t able to explain what I liked or didn’t like about a dress. The prices at Christine’s are also phenomenal while still getting top notch materials. I was fairly picky about the kind of dress I wanted, and even though I eliminated many styles and materials she was still able to put me in a great selection of dresses. I fell in love with 3 dresses and she was able to help me make the final decision without feeling pressured to make the decision that day. Chris was amazing and I am so glad I was able to work with someone so lovely. The professionalism and dedication I felt was above and beyond anything I could have imagined, I will be recommending Christine’s to everyone!

I was starting to get very discouraged about wedding dress shopping. My mom saw reviews of Christine’s Bridal online so we decided to go visit, and it was totally worth the drive! Christine was welcoming and supportive. She gave us a lesson about various types of wedding dresses and what may look good on my body type, no other place I had gone to had done that! Her designs are beautiful and unique and really flatter every body type. She was so accommodating and creative around what I was looking for and helped to create the dress of my dreams. Christine was very helpful in my decision making process, reassuring me along the way. There was no pressure during the appointment at all which was so appreciated! We were all so impressed and happy by the experience we had at Christine’s Bridal! I can not wait to wear my beautiful dress this October!

I have to say that I went into bridal gown shopping with reservations. It was my first time trying dresses on, I knew what dresses I had seen online that I liked and I knew what I didn’t like. But I soon realized all of that goes out the window when you start trying them on yourself. When I first got to Christine’s Bridal we were greeted by the owner herself, with a measuring tape around her neck and a smile on her face she got down to business right away. We took our shoes off, donned some of Chris’s finest fluffy slippers, and after a couple of quick measurements we started learning. Chris is extremely knowledgeable, and the first thing she did was to teach us all about fabric, fit, style and construction. I didn’t realize until then how much I didn’t know! But she walked us through it all with confidence and caring, and let me tell you, 2 hours flew by so fast!!! There were so many dresses in so many styles, and all of them beautiful! And the best part was that I could actually fit into nearly every dress she brought out, and some were even roomy!!! That was a refreshing change from almost every other shopping experience I’ve had as a plus size woman, and it certainly made it a lot more enjoyable than I had expected. Never once did I feel out of place, uncomfortable, or self-conscious. Not only was it fun and educational, I found the most beautiful dress for my big day and we even got a discount for paying up front! Christine’s is definitely the place to go, especially for plus size women. The selection spanned every type of dress imaginable, sizes and styles flattering for every body shape, and prices for every budget. Thanks Chris!!

I went to Christine's bridal for a wedding dress and that's exactly what I found! I found the most stunning dress that they have created. Fair prices and well made dress that make shock all my guests and most importantly my finance on our special day! Everyone was very nice and really listened to you and what you were looking for. The only thing suggested is to have your guests wear an extra sweater. It was a little chilly for my family. i would 100% recommend Christine's bridal to anyone looking for a beautiful dress.

I have had the most incredible experience at Christine’s Bridal. I found my wedding dress at my very first visit. I was nervous to try on wedding dresses because I am a bigger girl and I've always compared myself to other woman. One of my favorite things about her shop is she works one on one with you. Christine is an amazing woman and really knows how to make you feel great. She was able to choose styles for me that really compliment my body shape and accentuate’s my hourglass figure. She’s very creative, stylish, and helpful. Definitely made the right choice with Christine’s Bridal!

I’m so glad I came across Christine’s Bridal when I did a search online. Being a plus size woman, I thought I would never find a dress that I could try on to see whether I liked it or not. Since I had a not so pleasant experience at a different bridal shop due to the dresses not being in my size (Staff member was very nice I will add), I started looking online. I found many styles I liked but was unsure of whether I should order one or not. I really wanted to try on some dresses and decide from there. I came across Christine’s Bridal online, read her story and made a call for an appointment. I was fortunate to deal with Christine directly. She is phenomenal. It was a pleasure to work with her. She is very informative and really makes you feel good about yourself. She knows the styles that look best on your shape. I drove a little over 2 hours one way to get there. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! This had to be the most enjoyable experience I have had shopping and given that this is one of the most important events to shop for, I was thrilled. I am a plus size woman and the idea of trying on wedding dresses frightened me. Working with Christine, I found it easy and as if I was working with a friend. She made me feel special and like I mattered. At the end of it all, I said yes to the dress and I couldn't be any happier. I'd recommend anyone looking for a wedding dress to go here, especially if you are plus size and want to feel beautiful.

Christine's bridal is a dream come true. As a plus sized bride I was so nervous to even think about trying on gowns. It brought back awful flash backs of trying on prom dresses, and I had no desire to go through that nightmare again. I spent some time online looking at beautiful dresses that i knew wouldn't come in my size and if they did they just wouldn't fit right, and then I came across Chris' website. I took a leap of faith and made an appointment and was still skeptical. From the moment we walked through the doors I knew that this was going to be the place I found my dream dress. Chris is such a lovely woman who knows everything about wedding dresses. She had my dress picked far before I had one picked. Not only did I find a beautiful dress of my dreams, I had many tough decisions to make because every dress I tried on was gorgeous and fit so well. The dresses aren't just beautiful either, they are super comfortable and you can feel the support they give you...(super important as a bigger lady) I would recommend this bridal shop to anyone, it is truly an amazing experience. After several disappointing visits to dress shops in search of the perfect bridal gown, I happened upon Christine’s Bridal shop while doing an online search as a last resort…and I am SO GLAD I did! I just wish that Christine’s had been the first place I looked! Although Christine needs to be commended for the beautiful dresses she keeps in the store, what is even more important is her professionalism, knowledge, flexibility, courtesy and all around pleasant nature. The dress I found with Christine’s help was exactly what I had envisioned, and Christine made sure that it was a perfect fit with the help of a skilled seamstress. My experience began with a detailed conversation over the phone with Christine, who asked relevant questions about what I was looking for, my size, etc. Christine then used this information to pull several dresses for me to try on during my visit to the shop. Let’s just say that it was love at first site on the 2nd dress I tried on! I was so impressed! Don’t let the location or size of the shop fool you – it contains unbelievably beautiful gowns and the people inside make it a true treasure. Christine's was the second bridal salon I went to. The first one was good and I found a dress that I thought I would be okay with. Then I went to Chris, she explained how a dress like I was describing would end up looking different after it was altered for my 5' frame. She is so knowledgeable since she designs the dresses she was able to show what would happen to my shape when different dresses were shortened for me. The other place did not do that and it was drastic, I would have been so upset with the dress had I bought the other one. Instead Chris showed me gorgeous dresses that could easily be altered to my height without changing the appearance of the dress at all. I am so in love with my dress, it's perfect and unlike anything I've seen online. Everyone should go to Christine's Bridal even if you don't buy anything on your first visit like I did you will come away with so much more of an understanding of how things look on you and what's realistic to expect when a seamstress alters your dress.

From the moment I walked in the door at Christine’s Bridal, I felt at ease and comfortable. This was a huge deal for me. As a larger bride shopping for a wedding dress was something that I dreaded. I didn’t think there was any way for me to feel comfortable, find a dress that fit, and not feel judged. The thought of stepping into a dressing room and having a judgemental salesperson help me in and out of dresses that didn’t fit was almost enough to make me cry. Then I found Christine’s bridal. Take a minute to read Chris’ story on her website. It’s worth your time. When I arrived she greeted me with a manner that put me immediately at ease and treated me like I was special and that there would be a dress for me. The first thing she did was take my measurements and put me in a beautiful dress that fit. It was incredible. I felt beautiful. She listened to what I thought I wanted and encouraged me to try other things. She was incredibly knowledgeable and just plain good at what she does. My girls and I had the place to ourselves and Chris brought out dresses for me. One of the most amazing things was that I never once set foot in the room with the dresses. At no point in time was I overwhelmed nor did I ever experience “dress fatigue”. Chris was wonderful also about giving her opinion when asked, but not trying to push me in one direction or another. And of course, I found my dress. And it was perfect.

I found my gown with the help of Christine . She was professional and curteious. It was a stressful decision made easy as I lost 141lbs (and counting) and wasn't sure if I would find something that would work with me and make me feel beautiful. With her help I did. I bought my prom dress at Christine's bridal 11 years ago so I knew I wanted to go back when searching for my wedding dress. Christine's was the only place I looked for a dress and my experience was absolutely wonderful. Chris was so welcoming and during my visit there were no other buyers in the shop. Chris really listened to what I wanted in a dress and was very thoughtful in choosing dresses for me to try on. In the end, I chose a dress that I wanted to add sleeves to and Chris was able to order the perfect fabric and details so you would not know that the dress did not come that way! The seamstress she recommended was so easy to work with and was able to make the sleeves exactly as I described them. The prices are so reasonable and I could not have been happier with my dress! I highly recommend Christine's!

I can’t say enough good things about Christine’s Bridal! What a wonderful shop with great selections, a warm personal touch, and one on one excellent customer service. Not only is her website super informative that lists the minimum to maximum cost of all dresses, but she also offers an easy layaway which helped me get the dress of my dreams, without having to compromise due to price. I don’t care how far away someone lives this place is worth the drive. Chris, the owner personally worked with me to figure out what style wedding dresses would work for my figure. She was extremely informative and familiar with styles, shapes, and fabrics, which all bridal shop workers or owners should be, but are not. It is nice to have found such a great shop in a small town with little traffic. I love giving to small, local businesses and it is even better when you feel how much Chris appreciates your business.

I had the most wonderful bridal gown shopping experience at Christine's Bridal. Christine listened to all of my comments and she was able to find the exact dress that I was looking for, even when I myself didn't know exactly what I was looking for. She was patient and kind with me and my entourage and truly listened and cared about each comment. Chris made sure that I felt comfortable throughout the whole process. I cannot say enough good things about Chris and her shop. I couldn't have asked for a better dress buying experience and I encourage every bride to be to make Christine's Bridal their first stop, you will not regret it!

I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about finding a dress in Hartland, in fact when I drove up I wasn't even sure I was in the right place. Was I ever wrong! I had not planned to even purchase a dress when I went and walked out with a beautiful dress. Christine worked with me and made this my best shopping experience (I had been to two other salons). She listened to what I wanted and brought me dresses near my price point. The dress I bought is one that fit all my requirements but is not something I would have picked on my own. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Christine's Bridal is a wonderful little shop in Hartland Vermont. I was amazed at the variety of dresses available in this small shop and the amazing overall knowledge of the owner, Christine. Many of the designs in the shop are complete originals and absolutely beautiful. Christine stocks dresses in a variety of sizes so you don't have to be clipped into a dress, but can actually see what it looks like in your size. She has a great eye and knows her job. This was my first and last shop as I found my dress after only an hour. In that hour, I tried on about 15 dresses. It was amazing. In addition, Christine's has a full line of bridesmaids dresses, flower girls dresses, tuxes and shoes. I ended up completely most of my wedding apparel shopping here and recommend it to everyone. Christine is amazing and affordable. Definitely check out this great little shop.

My dress was amazing Christine is great about making an appointment and making the experience personal. She is very educated about wedding dresses and dress fits. My dress was discontinued. She really worked with me. We got the maid of honor and brides maids dresses there as well as both of the mother of the brides dresses and the shoes there. My only complaint would be that the lady who she recommends for alterations is very bad about keeping appointments and messed up both of the flower girl dresses and charged me to fix them. I got them back finally 4 days before the wedding but had to pay for her to fix her errors which was not right!
