Very happy with all the food and the caring attentive servers. My daughter's wedding at RGNY July 1, 2023. Unlike some other caterers, Matt the chef and Christine the Maitre'd were there all evening and everything ran smoothly with tons of compliments from wedding guests on the delicious food.

We worked with Matt Kar to cater our wedding at RGNY. We loved that he was local, sourced ingredients locally and really cared about his business. All very important things to us. He offers something unique called French style where servers go to each table with 3 entrees and serve everyone a little bit of everything of their choosing. Not only is the food delicious, but our guests felt taken care of. They were served multiple times and never left hungry. Matt was wonderful to work with and so was his staff. He doesn’t do traditional tastings but he did invite us to his restaurant to have a meal. It sold us. It was one of the best we’ve ever had. I would recommend them for everyone’s catering needs and would use them again. We were taken care of, and never had to worry about a detail. Matt and Christine were there answering all our questions and guiding us through our very special day. We couldn’t thank them enough.

We worked with Matt Kar and Christopher Michael to cater our wedding at Bedell Cellars, and it was one of our best decisions. The food was delicious. Everyone loved the unique French Style, where they could pick and choose their entree at the table. But the cocktail hour was the best part. He had all the favorites, plus some unique options that our guests have been raving about. More importantly, Matt was so easy to work with throughout the entire planning process. He was incredibly accessible and instantly put any anxieties we had at ease. Not to mention, since he's supported by the robust infrastructure of his restaurant (i.e., we didn't need to rent a catering kitchen for him or bring in any of the tables/chairs/linens/dishes/etc. separately), he was by far the least expensive caterer in the area. We can't recommend him enough!

Matt Kar is the owner of the Jamesport Manor Inn/Dimon Estate and Christopher Michael Catering. He was catering our wedding when it was at JMI and we ended up sticking with Matt to cater our wedding at Duck Walk. We really appreciated how empathetic and accommodating he was given our situation and venue cancelation within 2 months of our wedding. He offered to discount his price which helped to offset the additional fees of changing venues. We are so glad we stuck with Matt because the food was SO incredibly delicious, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food. Matt has his own staff and offers a “French style” menu where you choose several entrees and sides and the servers come around multiple times to offer seconds and thirds to everyone. They cook onsite and the food was fresh, hot and unlimited. Matt Kar is a great guy with a respected reputation in the wedding industry which was why he was able to help us pivot on such a short notice. Typically Duck Walk and other venues in the area do not allow other caterers to come on property when they have their own contracted. Because of Matt’s reputation he was able to speak with different vendors/venues and most were accommodating thanks to him. Matt’s site coordinator, Christine was an absolute angel, and I appreciated her flexibility and willingness to take on the challenge of coordinating at a site she has never coordinated before and was unfamiliar with the site staff, layout, and flow of the day. We did not have a wedding planner, so she was my point contact for coordinating the whole day. Christine came through for us and our day went off without a hitch. If anyone is hesitating about working with Matt and his team because of what happened with the town, I hope this eases your doubts because they truly stepped up to the plate, went above and beyond and knocked it out of the park.

Randi F. The most important parts of a wedding, in our opinion, are the music and THE FOOD!!! The Knot assisted on both fronts . Christopher Michael Caters exceeded our expectations; and then some. The flavors, attentiveness, presentation and professionalism were EXACTLY what we envisioned. We have been privileged to indulge in their creativity at other celebrations and were blessed and thankful to have them partake in our magical wedding.

I can’t speak highly enough about Matt, Tricia and their team. From start to finish, they were flexible and helpful. We had to postpone and they were understanding and flexible and made it easy. I am fairly particular and they were thorough and helpful and satisfied everything we asked for. The day of, they were outstanding. I can’t say enough praise for them, they were better than I could convey. I would book them again in a heartbeat.

We used Christopher Michael Caterers for our wedding on Saturday October 23rd, 2021 and we couldn’t be happier! The food was unbelievably delicious- all of our guests were wowed by the appetizers and the dinner. The MaitreD, servers and bartender that worked our wedding were all professional and friendly and wonderful! You will be very happy if you work with Matt and his team to plan your big day!!!

Let me start by saying that I am an event planner and have worked with many, many caterers in my time. Working with Matt and his wonderful team was a dream. He is a straightforward professional who clearly has a passion for making gorgeous weddings come to life on Long Island. For our RGNY wedding, we opted for French Style service, which was hands down the most unique and special event dining experience I have ever had. The food was immaculately served, delicious, and abundant. The service team, including our Maître d Trisha, were fantastic. Everything ran on time without being rushed. My guests loved their experience and the value of what Matt and his team provided was beyond compare.

The Staff at Christopher Michael Catering were efficient and took care of everything with big smiles on their faces! The food was wonderful and Matt was readily available to answer all my questions and concerns!

The whole team at Christopher Michael is amazing, especially Matt, the chef and owner, and Christine, the coordinator for the day. Having great food at our wedding was very important to us and Christopher Michael Caterers delivered above and beyond. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing! It genuinely felt like we were eating at a high-end restaurant rather than just at a wedding. All of our guests (and us) were raving all night about the great food and how attentive the servers were. Christine was amazingly helpful leading up to the day in answering all of our questions and helping ensure everything went off without a hitch. In addition to the day of, we also celebrated our minimony ceremony at Jamesport Manor Inn last year when we had to postpone the larger reception to this year. Matt was incredibly kind and understanding when we needing to postpone and all of our guests really enjoyed the intimate experience (and excellent food) at his restaurant last year as well. We would absolutely recommend Christopher Michael for any catered event or Jamesport Manor Inn for a nice dinner out!

AAAAAAmazing! That’s the best way to put it. From price, to food, to how the wedding day went, it was just amazing. Christine was the coordinator for the actual wedding day and it went on without a hitch. Matt is the owner and chef and everybody raved about the food, how wonderful it was and how they’ve never been to a wedding with better food. People were still talking about it even weeks after the wedding. It was exactly what I pictured when I thought of my wedding day caterer. We absolutely loved working with Matt, the owner. He is very easy to work with, his food is amazing, his staff is so professional. Our wedding guests can’t stop talking about how amazing our catering was. His restaurant, The jamesport Manor is also one of our favorite restaurants on Long Island. Would highly recommend, you won’t regret it!

From our first interaction Matt Kar was professional and caring. He answered any of our questions or concerns in a timely manner. The majority of tasks and requests we had were expertly handled by him and his staff. The catering manager, Christine, was extremely detail oriented and made sure we were comfortable and happy with everything at the wedding. She went above and beyond to ensure the day went smoothly with minimal input needed from us the day of. The onsite staff, especially Jaclyn and Trisha, were incredible, frequently checking in with myself and my husband to ensure we had anything we might need. For guests with allergies, all the staff were vigilant and would make sure there were items to offer them that they could enjoy. We used the French Style service, many of our guests are still raving about the variety and how delicious everything was. We used Christopher Michael for all of the rentals as well. They did a beautiful job with the entire event.

Due to COVID-19, our original wedding plans were canceled. We still wanted to get married on our wedding date, albeit with a much smaller guest list, so we booked a last minute outdoor venue. I emailed Matt on a Sunday, about a month and a half before the wedding. Within hours I was speaking to him on the phone. Matt was super responsive, attentive and accommodating throughout, and so was Christine. Matt and Christine and their service team made our wedding day a reality! The service and the food were superb! We cannot thank Christopher Michael Catering enough!!!

We do not have enough words to express our gratitude for all the Christopher Michael Team did to make our wedding beyond anything we ever could have imagined. The food was fantastic- everyone was raving about it all night long! The service was FIVE STARS and truly a “well oiled machine”- it was seamless. I am SO happy we were lucky enough to have hired Matt, Christine and the rest of the Christopher Michael team for our wedding this past June. It was very easy to work with them, and the food was unbelievable!! We got so many compliments on it from our guests! We chose "French Style" service, which is unique (I've never seen it at any other wedding) - guests got to choose from 3 proteins being served to their table along with sides, and they could choose all 3 if they wanted, and even got seconds! Needless to say, our guests were very happy and well-fed. I highly recommend choosing this caterer!

5 Stars is not even close to enough to express our gratitude to Matt, Christine, and their whole team. We had our wedding in June at a home and they were the easiest people by far to work with. Everyone on the staff was so kind and always smiling! The food was out of this world amazing and our guests have already been asking for their information. It was an amazing experience to have them. From the appetizer service to the dinner, and the late night menu... WOAH was it the perfect end to our wedding. I would get married 100 times over just to have them come back and do it all again. A complete MUST when hiring a caterer is to choose Christopher Michael!!!

Christopher Michael Caterers was flawless. I can't say enough about their wonderful team. They provided great/upbeat service AND went the extra mile to set up our decor at the venue for us so we didn't have to stress about it. Wow, words cannot express our gratitude for the AMAZING job by Matt Karr and his entire staff for our wedding at The Old Field on June 23rd, 2018. I booked Christopher Michael Catering 10 months in advance of the date. This was on the early side but I did not want to risk losing out on what would be our centerpiece vendor for the entire event. Matt was so easy to work with from day one. I had initially solicited all the major catering vendors on the North Fork. Matt was far and away the most organized and responsive of everyone I reached out to. I had full menus and price lists within a day and he answered all questions right away. His menus were so good! He had great options for every palate, with very fair pricing and great add on options such as the raw bar and lobster rolls. When we met in person, he put all our concerns to ease. He’s been doing large events and weddings for decades now and knows all the venues, other vendors, etc. I was struggling to find a tent vendor who could provide what we wanted, his suggestion “just call Bobby over at American Tent, tell him I sent you” was perfect! Not only did the team at American Tent deliver a beautiful Sail Cloth tent at a fraction of the cost of the other vendors, I had peace of mind knowing that Matt, who helped me plan all the final details, knew the other vendors very well and would step in if I needed assistance. In deciding our menu for the event, Matt hosted us for a delicious dinner at the Manor where we got to sample all sort of dishes to get a taste for his quality and vision. Everything we tasted was perfect. Picking the menu after that was a breeze (filet mignon with horseradish dill sauce, chicken and lemon capers, pesto ravioli, raw bar, etc.) Months later we still have friends telling us it was hands down the BEST wedding food they’ve ever had. In addition to the food, Matt and his team went above and beyond, essentially filling in as assistant wedding planners and coordinators. He provided me with sample timelines for the day as well as how he likes to coordinate with the other vendors to ensure the entire event runs smooth from start to finish. His event manager, Cynthia, seemed to be everywhere at once the entire day of my wedding. She was at my Mom’s and Day of Coordinator’s sides for much of the event, taking care of everything before it could even be asked. She knew exactly where and when for every detail, beyond just the food, working with the DJ, photographers, etc. The serving staff was also amazingly professional and courteous. I went with French style service so food came out on platters and was served to each person HOT! So many people were shocked that everything was fresh and hot, the timing and prep was perfect. I can’t imagine my day without their entire team. Every single one of them went above and beyond all our expectations to deliver the wedding of our dreams. To anyone looking for the perfect caterer for your event, Matt and Christopher Michael is your answer.

Matt Kar and the whole Christopher Michael team..where do I begin? I can’t say enough good things about our May 19th wedding at Martha Clara Vineyards. Our guests are still raving about the food and the friendly, efficient staff. I asked for a specific swordfish preparation and I have to say everything I asked for Matt said, “of course!” and made it happen flawlessly. He helped us walk through our cocktail hour food options and even had an employee come out with a tray of food for us while we were taking photos in the rain! Such dedication. When my mom went to give them their envelope at the end of the evening the CM team complimented my mom on our guests! It was truly a match made in heaven. I am thrilled with the way the day went thanks to the pros at Christopher Michael.

We highly recommend Matt Kar and Christopher Michael Catering. From our first meeting at his restaurant in Jamesport, we were confident he was the right choice for our wedding at Martha Clara. Communications were very easy - we dealt with Matt leading up to the day and then Christine a few weeks prior to our event. Emails were returned quickly. Matt was very flexible and was very willing to make modifications from the basic packages. Christine was very much on top of what was needed and reminded us several times that she had everything under control -- and she did. The food was simply amazing. We opted for the raw bar, which was a huge hit. Matt's staff seamlessly moved from the cocktail hour outdoors to the main event indoors. We opted for the French style service, which was great - guests could have a little bit of everything instead of being limited to one entree. We have had many people tell us after the wedding that it was the best wedding meal they've ever had and it was hard to disagree. They were very flexible with us bringing in outside cake and pie. The bartenders and waiters were extremely professional. Everything went perfectly. We can't thank Matt, Christine and the Christopher Michael team enough! Book with them - you won't regret it!

Matt Kar and staff at Christopher Michael Catering went above and beyond the call of duty for our wedding. As a native North Forker from the moment my husband and I got engaged we knew Christopher Michael Catering would be at our wedding based on their sterling reputation! Mr. Kar helped us design our menu with local seasonal foods that highlighted what the North Fork had to offer. His staff was beyond attentive. From set up to clean up Mr. Kar's staff were professional and personable to all our guests. I was amazed that our 200 person wedding was served dinner french style in under 30 minutes. Many of our guests have shared with us that they went back for seconds, even thirds. The mac-and-cheese balls and corn salad were HUGE hits. Mr . Kar prepared tuna, steak and chicken for our wedding all were phenomenal. I could not give a higher recommendation for a wedding caterer. Thank you CMC for making our day so special and making our guests so satisfied!

If I could give more than five stars I would! Matt and his team really made our wedding day perfect. We can't say enough good things about them and the food is out of this world!

We had the BEST wedding EVER at Jamesport Manor Inn, Jamesport, NY. Matt was a pleasure to work with and everything was as perfect as we had imagined. The scenery was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for with the orchard, tractor, and barn. The food was amazing and if anyone didn't eat enough it was their own fault.

Wow, what an amazing caterer! Our guests are still raving about the catering for our August, 2017 wedding! Matt and Kerri were absolutely incredible to ensure our guests were fed and satiated. They paid great amount to detail to provide a stress-free day. Our cocktail hour was amazing and the lobster rolls were my husband's favorite. The bar was always fully staffed, as guests complimented our signature drinks of mojito and dark n' stormy. The dinner was served in French style so guests could eat as much as they wanted without getting up. Matt's staff was fantastic; each individual was friendly and cared for the guests. Each person always had a smile on their face no matter how many plates they carried or how many tables they had to clean up. Matt's staff was the last to leave the reception because they wanted to make sure everything was cleaned up perfectly. We are forever grateful for the delicious food (some of the best food we have ever had!) and the caring spirits of Christopher Michael Caterers.

We absolutely LOVED working with Matt and his team at Christopher Michael! We knew we wanted to go out of the box for the food at our wedding (i.e. not traditional chicken, fish, steak options) and Matt worked with us every step of the way to make a perfect menu. He even made us a dish that wasn't on the menu, bringing our dreams of having paella at our wedding to a reality. Matt's staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. Everyone wants their wedding to be perfect. Matt and his team achieved perfection at our wedding. Their all-inclusive package was a lifesaver. The frequent, helpful, pre-wedding communication alleviated a lot of my stress about setting up the venue. And the food was incredible. Every dish was perfect. Dinner was served French style, which meant that the three entrees were open to all guests through table service -- no need to get up for seconds and thirds, the food comes to the guests. We chose the shrimp, the pesto ravioli, and the filet mignon, all of which were delicious. The filet mignon was cooked especially well. It's making me hungry just thinking about it. Also, Matt worked with us to customize the menu by adding more duck items to cocktail hour (to honor Long Island) and to add some of his restaurant's chocolate-macadamia nut pies to the dessert table. Throughout the night, the staff made every effort to make the experience special. A few days later, the catering manager even sent over photos that the staff took of the venue to show how beautiful everything was. Matt Karr's years of experience were demonstrated in our wedding. We enthusiastically recommend this catering company.

Thank goodness for Matt and his team!! My husband and I were getting married in NYC and had such a tough time finding anything in our budget. I found Christopher Michael on the knot and decided to reach out to see if they were willing to travel. Matt was so pleasant to work with, and took the time to listen to exactly what we were looking for; he helped us plan a customized menu from start to finish. He and Christine even met us at the venue prior to the event to make sure they were comfortable with the space. Speaking of Christine, who is the event manager/coordinator, she was absolutely delightful to work with. She was so helpful in planning the layout for the venue and making sure all vendors were on the same page with the schedule for the day. She even brought with her some lanterns and candles for the food stations that went perfectly with our venue and decor. These guys deserve every one of these 5 star reviews and then some!

My son, Chris and his now wife Amanda, called this great catering company with a budget for their wedding reception. Mr. Kar met with them and worked out a great menu within their budget. No other caterers they met with could provide such a bountiful menu as he did. Everyone raved about the amazing, delicious and abundant food that was provided by a staff that was delightful, professional and prompt. To provide for approximatly 180+ people under a tent, on a chilly, wet evening on September 30th is one thing but to have it served hot was amazing! I would highly recommend Christopher Michael Catering.

After meeting with many caterers with our wedding planner (Laura Mastriano-who was absolutely fantastic, btw) we decided to go with Christopher Michael Caterers. Our wedding was on July 2nd, 2016 at the Hempstead House in Sands Point. It's a unique venue that requires you to bring in EVERYTHING. It was quite an undertaking... Ok well first let me say why we chose Christopher Michael and then I'll get into how they executed. When we first met with Matt, we hit it off. Matt is the type of guy that wants the food to be perfect. He's the type of guy that you want to have a drink with. From the moment we saw Matt's menu we knew he was our top choice. He reassured us that not only was his company the best fit but he could execute everything to perfection. That was exactly what we were looking for. We discussed prices (very fair for the level we were looking for), logistics with our production company and also challenges if we wanted to make last minute changes (which we did). All along the way his responsiveness could not have been better. If we wanted to something changed, he changed it at no extra cost.. His "go to" line is "sure, whatever you want." We trusted him and that was HUGE to us. We decided to have a "recovery" brunch at our home the next day with around 150 ppl and we chose Matt for that as well. The execution was FLAWLESS! Our cocktail reception perfectly captured our Gatsby themed wedding. Three high end cuts of meat, three fresh seafood options and everything else from salads to the raw bar/slider station, small patron bottles filled with Margaritas.. the list goes on and on. The feedback from our guests was incredible. The "wedding of a century" is what we've heard repeated over and over again. Matts high-end professionalism matched the story tale execution of our event. Appetizers were just amazing.. custom designed, delicious and decadent. I rarely write reviews but I feel like I owed Matt and his team the respect. The next day at our house was a repeat of the night before (with some chuckles from the staff seeing us just a tad tired). A few things that we got to know about Matt through the process. Why is it called Christopher Michael Caterers? Thats his boys names. We thought that was just awesome because we're such family people. Matts staff has been with him for years and years unlike some of the other caterers who hire temp help for big events. He wants you to have fun!! He makes excellent suggestions.. Many times we disagreed with his opinion of placement of chairs/stations, etc. In the end we listened to Matt and, admittedly, he was right every time. My suggestion to anyone on the east end of Long Island, Hamptons or the North Fork-or anywhere on LI would be to meet with him and you'll see what I mean. Several times he said to me, you can do that but it's a complete waste of money.. I'll do whatever you want but I'd hate to see you spend the money if you don't need too. Who does that? Granted we wanted the best of the best.. and we got it! Thanks Matt & Staff for making our special day the best day of our lives. You'll forever be apart of us. Cheers!

My wife and I got married Sept. 2 2016 at Martha Clara Vineyards, which is beautiful venue to have a wedding. Christopher Michael caterers was suggested to us after we met other caterers in the area. My wife and I sat down with Matt at his office and right away we were impressed. Matt did not try to sell us on things that we did not need or want. He gave us options that were exactly what we were looking for, he was really professional and straight to the point. When I got to Martha Clara vineyard on our wedding day, I met with Matt while he was setting up, and he was a great person to talk with and he wished my wife and I all the luck in the world. When it came time for the reception and dinner hour, the food was perfect. Matts staff came around to each table and served dinner in a relaxed and comfortable way. And the food was amazing. My wife and I have heard back from many of our guest and they all raved about the food and professionalism of Matt and his staff. From the very beginning, Matt and his staff were prompt, professional, and so easy to work with. Matt answered all of my questions in a timely manner and with honesty. He also had some great ideas when my fiancee and I met with him. He made everything a breeze, and we knew we were in great hands. Christine and Cynthia were so friendly and easy going, and helped me so much in planning my wedding. On the day of, Cynthia and her staff worked like a well-oiled machine. The service was impeccable and flawless. The food was incredible. I still have people talking about the food and its been months! From the time we started discussing the possibilities until the last staff member left the premises, Christopher Michael did a stellar job. Matt Kar was a breeze to work with throughout the process. Every promise was kept. Period. Our guests commented on the quality of the food during the cocktail hour and dinner and they were especially impressed with Christine and her serving team. Impeccable yet low key service was given throughout the day and evening from the time the team arrived to set up the chairs for the ceremony until they left. Christine made every special last minute request happen - including managing the recorded music for the ceremony! When I asked her to handle the logistics for turning on the lighting as evening fell, Christine sent THREE of the staff to learn what we wanted done. If you've got Christine, don't waste money on a day-of coordinator. Most importantly the bride (our daughter) and the groom were ecstatic with the way their party went off from start to finish! What more could we ask for? Bravo, bravo Christopher Michael!

Mtt and his team did an amazing job at our son's wedding. His suggestions were all perfect, he even advised us where we could save money. The extras we added (raw bar, lobster rolls and corn salad) were all worth the minimal extra cost. Staff was courteous and attentive.

Matt did our wedding on June 4th at Lenz vineyard. It was the BEST service I could have ever imagined. In fact it was better than I had even hoped. The staff were more than attentive but also remained unnoticed in a perfectly balanced way. They were always there with a fresh plate of appetizers or french plated food. I highly recommend the french plating. It was such a unique thing and our guests couldn't stop raving about it. They could try all the three options and have unlimited quantities without having to get up for a buffet. Everyone was so pleased with all the food cooked on premises. It tasted way more fresh than any catering hall could have provided. The filet was so tender and medium rare, the chicken was super very flavorful and the shrimp were cooked PERFECTLY. The side dishes were so fresh and tasty too. The appetizers were the perfect, chic cocktail hour too. Not too much food and just a perfect array of little bites. I could not recommend this caterer any more! 10 out of 10!

Our wedding would not have been as big of a hit as it was without all of the hard work and delicious food from Matt and the rest of the team at Christopher Michael. After doing our homework on several caterers, we ultimately decided on Christopher Michael for numerous reasons, perhaps mostly because of the experience and professionalism of Matt. From our initial conversations, to our first meeting at the Jamesport Manor Inn (which we would also recommend for a fantastic dinner), to the dozens of questions and specific details we discussed over the phone and e-mails, Matt was always extremely helpful and quick to respond. Similarly, as we got closer to the big day, Matt offered his insights and experiences on our timeline for the reception and other critical details that we hadn't considered, even though those things weren't necessarily in the scope of our relationship. He also went out of his way to personally deliver some of the tables and chairs to our venue a day early for us to use for our rehearsal dinner. In terms of the day of, the experience could not have gone any better. The entire staff that was onsite acted professionally and efficiently; aside from the times that they were serving, they were never in the way, but always available when needed - they run a very smooth ship! And last, but certainly not least, the food itself was incredible! After getting Matt's opinion, we ultimately decided to go with French style service, giving our guests the option to choose from three entrees; everyone loved that they had the option to choose from three delicious entrees and that they could get seconds, or even thirds, if they wanted, although many of the guests had already filled up already on all of the delicious h'or deurves at cocktail hour! Even over a month later, we have at least one of our guests bring up how incredible the food was almost every day. Overall, from start to finish, working with the entire Christopher Michael team was as great of an experience as we could have expected. Not only did we have an incredible meal at our wedding, but we had a knowledgable, professional, and experienced team behind it, led by Matt. We wouldn't change a thing!

My wife and I got married at Martha Clara Vineyards on July 11, 2015. Our dream wedding could not have been possible without Matt Kar and his team. Great food + great music = great wedding. And boy did Matt and his team deliver on the food! Jamesport Manor Inn has a new off premise catering company called "Two Forks Catering" sister company to Christopher Michael catering. We can't say enough good things about our whole experience dealing with Two Forks Catering. Matt is the consummate professional and it clearly has rubbed off on his team. His entire staff from Christine who helped run everything day of to the bartenders and servers, we could not have been happier with the staff. As for the food, we've had numerous people tell us "it was best cocktail hour ever." The hors d'oeuvre choices and quality of food was exceptional! The baby lamb chops, duck quesadillas and mini lobster rolls were all fan favorites. The raw bar was a huge hit! Clams, oysters on the half shell and shrimp, everything was so fresh. Our guests were eating oysters faster than the staff could shuck them I think. Dinner was great too! To show you how accommodating Matt is, when we met with him, my wife asked if we could have a cold corn side dish with dinner since Long Island corn would be in season. Without hesitation Matt said "not a problem at all." Matt made a delicious corn succotash side to accompany our main courses. The main dishes were great as well. We had Pan-Roasted Striped Bass and New York Strip Steak. We would also like to thank you and your whole staff at the Jamesport Manor Inn for making the rehearsal dinner perfect as well. The Gallery easily fit our 35 guests and is very elegant. Again, Matt was able to have a chowder soup made that my wife requested that was out of this world! The entrees and desserts were off the charts too! Matt will make your special day everything you dreamed it would be. Don't hesitate to use Two Forks Catering!

I cannot say enough great things about Christopher Michael Catering, and specifically Chef and Co-Owner, Matt Kar. Matt was incredibly helpful while planning the catering for my wedding - he was attentive and responsive. He gave honest suggestions and helped guide us on amount of food, specialty tables, and hors d'oeuvre options. He also helped coordinate rentals such as chairs, tables, and suggested a trusted nearby tent company. And he was always willing to meet with us in person to answer any and all the questions I had, and believe me, I had a lot! The food at our wedding was great - it was fresh and simple and truly played to the surrounding North Fork farm-to-table feel. The servers and bartenders were all friendly and helpful and always made sure that my new husband and I had exactly what we wanted. I am extremely happy that we decided to go with Christopher Michael Catering. I recommend them to anyone planning their wedding on the East End of Long Island.

Matt and is staff made our dream wedding come true! From the mini lobster rolls at the cocktail hour to the seamless, professional french style dinner service, Christopher Michael Catering nailed our 200 guest wedding at Martha Clara this summer. Matt is the caterer to use on the North Fork. He met with us 4-5 times before the wedding to make sure that the menu and all of the selections were exactly what we wanted. His attention to detail ensured us that we were in good hands! He uses only local, seasonal ingredients, all of which he turned into appetizers and entrees that completely wowed our guests! People are still asking us about the food! Thanks to Matt an his staff for an amazing night!

I'll admit at first glance of the Christopher Michael Catering doesn't appear to be a top notch caterer. Their website isn't fancy and the owner Matt Karr is a straight shooter. He's not going to give you a bunch of wedding pillow talk about he's going to make your antipasto table look beautiful, but believe me he's going to make it beautiful and more importantly he's also going to make sure you have enough of it to feed your guests. That's the thing about Matt he's a pro - he doesn't give big fancy presentations because his track record speaks for itself. He's been in the catering business on the North Fork for over 20 years, he's done every type of event imaginable, and has trucks outfitted with mobile kitchens to handle any sized event without the need for rental equipment. I had a lot of concerns about my tented wedding for 250 people on Shelter Island, but Matt walked me, my fiancé, and my parents through it and quickly proved that he was the man for the job. During the entire planning process Matt was also super helpful. I requested a few changes to his proposal and he easily accommodated them, and was extremely fair about price differences. In fact all his fees were quite reasonable and a world of difference from some other catering quotes I received. The day of my wedding I felt confident that it would be perfect and it was - my husband was concerned about lines at the bars and there were none, everyone raved about the food (the lamb chops at cocktail hour were a huge hit!), and the set-up for the dessert table was stunning (note I brought in dessert from another vendor and they set it up). I also had no need to be concerned about running out of food - we had leftovers which they kindly packed up and our family enjoyed the next day. I also have to give many props and thanks to Christine his catering manager. She runs the front of the house seamlessly and I think it says a lot about the whole operation that she has worked with Matt for 20 years. The entire Christopher Michael team was courteous, attentive and flexible. I also highly recommend their French style service - it's a bit Downton Abbey and really impressed our guests. If you want a caterer that’s reliable, ready for anything, and turns out delicious food look no further than Christopher Michael.

The moment we met Chef Matt from Christopher Michael Caterers we knew we had our guy. A native to Long Island and the East End, he represents what many Long Islanders are. He built his business from the ground up and his food speaks for itself. He was willing to work with us on our budget and made changes to his menu with no question. CMC also made sure the entire event ran smoothly including setting the tables, decorations, and making sure my husband and I had everything we needed throughout the night. We opted for a buffet dinner. We had so many family members and friends give us raving reviews about the food. Everyone especially loved the Sweet Potato Mash (that we asked him to make for our wedding not on his menu) and filet! They own two local restaurants out in Jamesport to which we've eaten at a few times. The food is just as incredible as at our wedding! Their restaurants and catering is all locally grown, farm to table style - just what we like! For affordable and delicious wedding food - pick CMC! We wouldn't have changed a thing!

My wife and I got married Oct 5th 2013 at Macari Vineyards in Mattituck. We picked Christopher Michael about 8 months before the wedding. Matt and his team were great from start to finish. Below is our Thank You email to Matt Jenny and I just wanted you to know how amazing everything turned out at our wedding on October 5th at Macari Vineyards. Besides having wonderful weather, we can’t say enough about your staff, servers, bartenders, cook and most of all the food. Matt, I was able to meet your son later in the night and he did an amazing job. To be honest the quality of the food and presentation blew away our expectations! My one friend who owns an Italian Restaurant said the pulled pork sliders served at cocktail hour were one of the top 3 things he’s tasted in his life. haha Another gust sent us an email and wrote “What a perfect day and perfect setting you guys had! I can’t believe how good the food was. Typically at weddings the food tastes as you would expect it to when they are cooking for 200 people and setting it out on hot plates waiting to be served...…but your caterer had fresh platters of the Tuna, Chicken and Steak coming right from the grill. You could tell everything was fresh and prepared right before it was served. I think Robin had about 3 servings of the chicken and I was dipping anything I could find into that horse radish sauce!” We are still getting compliments to this day about how great the food was. The tables, Linens, Tuscan table, even the presentation of the food on the trays as the servers came around during cocktail hour was perfect. No one was ever waiting for a server to come by and the bartenders kept the drinks flowing. We can’t thank you enough and will highly recommend you to anyone in need of a great caterer. We would also like to thank your whole staff at the Jamesport manor for making the rehearsal dinner perfect as well. Christine and Kerri were amazing to work and so accommodating. The Gallery was a perfect room for 44 guests and it was classy from start to finish but extremely fun as well! Food there was also top notch! Thank you again for everything!

Matt Kar has an amazing staff who orchestrated the catering and the wedding perfectly. The food was amazing and was served under a tent at Clovis Point Winery. They were amazing. Matt Kar is an incredible leader of team which provides exactly what he says and even a little better than that. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!

Matt Kar and his staff were excellent to work with. The food was excellent, and being served french style, all guests were able to choose as much or as little of each menu item they wanted. People LOVED this!! You're not stuck with anything. Appetizers were great and people were thrilled. Their service was top notch. Having my wedding at Martha Clara, you have to coordinate a lot by yourself and just hope that it all works in the end. Matt makes sure everything you need is done perfectly. He really takes all of the worry out of planning! Just give him a to-do list, and everything will be done. My husband has special requests for beer, and they completely accommodated all of the requests. The catering will be the most expensive part, and I totally thought Christopher Michael caterers was worth every penny!

Everyone at my wedding raved about the food! The cocktail hour appetizers were absolutely amazing, and the buffet was delicious too. It was a great experience working with the owner; he's very down to earth and up front about everything. The servers were friendly and accommodating, overall a great experience all around.
