We got married on the Odyssey of Boston in August 2022 and are SO happy we did. From the time we booked our wedding (back in early winter 2021) to the actual wedding day we had a pleasant experience. I am a very anxious planner and the staff were so accommodating and kind with me, providing check ins and chatting with us whenever I had questions. We chose to get our meals and DJ through their wedding service and are so happy we did. Our guests told us that the Odyssey provided the best service and wedding meals some of them have ever had. We also chose to have our ceremony on the boat and the staff did an AMAZING job. We were supposed to get married on the rooftop but it had started to rain around 20 minutes before the ceremony time. The staff were incredible and moved our ceremony inside and I am so happy they did.
The staff on board are truly what made our experience ten times better. I was an anxious bride on our wedding day and they all were so kind and amazing. Our wedding planners Georgia and Kat stayed with us all day and they went above and beyond in helping us, even helping me carry my dress up and down the stairs before the ceremony :) They were constantly making sure we were comfortable and that our wants/needs were being met. Also, BLESS the boat crew as they were so patient with us. I was so excited to meet the captain (Captain Declan) and he was so kind and entertaining.
Our wedding through City Cruises was the absolute dream. Our guests have told us how much fun they had celebrating or big night while watching the beautiful views of the Boston Harbor. We cannot recommend City Cruises Boston enough and wish we could do the night all over again:)
We had a private event (a wedding related event with 100 people) on the Seaport Elite. Overall, the actual experience was quite good and all our guests had an amazing time. However, there was a mixed bag with planning and event coordination.
Pros:
The boat itself is very nice. It looks nice, the views of Boston are great, and the food was tasty. There was enough space for casino tables, dance floor, bar, and dining area. The viewing area had heating lamps and was comfortable to stand outside even on an October day. The staff were kind and communicative once on board the ship, and all the guests were taken care of. This made it so the guests and my fiance and I were very satisfied with the event itself. Everyone had a really enjoyable time. Certain people were excellent at communication and checking in with us, I will specifically call out Jonny Beres as a point of contact who was very helpful and easy to communicate with.
Cons:
The communication with the event coordinators/planners from City Experiences were very poor. They were extremely unresponsive and failed to deliver on many items. For example, we hand crafted a specific playlist for the DJ to play but the event coordinator failed to send our playlist to the DJ (so none of our songs were available once on board). They event sent me an email saying they sent it, but once we asked the DJ on board he said he never received it. The event coordinator changed the table arrangements, removing a table without communicating this properly. We had printed table cards and assigned seats that had to go unused and we only found out 15 minutes before everyone boarded the boat. We were also never told about having a gift table or card box, something that was an option but we had no idea about. Because of this, we actually ended up not receiving gifts and cards from our guests which are now lost forever (including some other items that were brought on board). The company claims they were all given to guests prior to leaving the boat, but I have contacted our guests and no one has them. Additionally, we were promised a bridal suite, but it was not communicated that the bridal suite had to be setup so we did not even really get to enter it or use it any point.
All of these miscommunications and misplanned items left a bitter ending to an actual great night. We were able to overcome this and still have a great party. I would just choose this venue with caution or be prepared to handle more details yourself
I cannot stress enough, do not ignore the one star reviews. While it was the best day of my life (only due to marrying the love of my life), it was also the worst. My husband and I literally spent the next day steaming over how horrible the day went and how poorly Boston City Cruises did. Boston City Cruises will make a lot of promises - such as having a “Day of Wedding Coordinator”, people helping guide and help people on and off the ship, an ample of communication, we would be on schedule - WE HAD NONE OF THAT (and more… so much more). They were severely understaffed, which led the entire day to be 1 hour behind and ALSO allowed random people to walk through our wedding. After bringing attention to the fact that we were one hour behind to our “day of coordinator” (also apparently a plate runner), they said we needed to wait - as if it was our fault. Nothing was ever communicated … all day long… we were in the dark. BCC did give us 30 minutes at the end of the wedding to continue dancing… however, did that make up for everything - no… absolutely not. Honestly, it is exhausting to relive and think how much we spent on this venue - so I will not continue the review. Please… please… do not book Boston City Cruises… it is NOT worth it.
Any questions?
I was looking forward to giving this venue an excellent review, however our experience was terrible at the end. They canceled our wedding 72 hours prior because of the storm, even though they said they would still have our event dock side, they back pedaled last minute. It ended up being a beautiful day with rain in the morning and some wind, but nothing like what they justified canceling for. The communication from the beginning was lackluster. We were assigned 4 different event coordinators and the last one just 5 weeks before the event. Our vendors had to contact them about set up information instead of the other way around (which was promised). Where we really ran into issues was the handling of our canceled event and their condescending manager. She was lacking in empathy and unwilling to help us. We completely understand the safety aspect of the cancelation, but the damage control, or lack their of afterward was disappointing. It’s a unique experience and idea but their customer service was absent. I have tried to reach out to their corporate employees to discuss their manager’s attitude and responses to us but no one will reply. We thought we were getting a good deal, but the venue we miraculously found gave us so much more. My recommendation is to continue searching pass City Cruises and consider other venues for your wedding. You want a venue who will communicate when you need, assist when they can and support you through the planning process. For the amount of money weddings cost, the last thing you want is a subpar venue with horrible communication leaving everything to the last minute.
Overall, we had a great experience with City Cruises. The venue came with its own catering, DJ, and day-of coordinator which was helpful for me as I did not hire a wedding planner. The scenery is beautiful and the sunset over the city is GORGEOUS, so I was able to skimp out on my floral budget. All my guests commented on how cool it was to have a wedding on a boat, and the waitstaff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
The only negative was that they will nickel and dime you for everything. I signed my contract in early 2021 and there were a few instances where they tried to add fees they introduced in 2022, so read your contracts!!
We had our reception on the Odyssey and our experience was excellent! We worked with Amanda and she was great. The Odyssey is a gorgeous yacht! Everyone loved the food! The hors d'oeuvres were absolutely delicious and the main entrées were even better. We loved the views from this unique venue (especially from the top deck!) and loved how it showcased our love for all things nautical. The captain joined us and celebrated with us which made our night even more magical and it we felt so special! The entire crew was 10/10 accommodating and wonderful; especially for our handicapped guests who needed wheelchair assistance! Our head waiter Carlos is a true gem was absolutely great. I can’t say enough great things about our wedding reception! The entire event was beautiful from start to finish. We were only sad when it was over! We will be back to utilize this venue again for another event! Thank you so much!
These reviews cannot be real. I have been planning my wedding with city cruises and they are horrible. The customer service is terrible; my contact does not email me back in a timely manner. This company acts like my wedding is not important. I wish I didn’t trust them with our big day. Stay away!
The customer service we experienced while working with City Cruises was incredible. Our contact Aria Conte went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and make the impossible possible. Not only was she the most responsive vendor I have ever worked with, she was genuinely caring to ensure our dream details were accounted for. I wish I could give Aria and City Cruises 10 stars!
We had so much fun on the Spirit of Boston for our wedding reception in September 2021. The boat was a beautiful, unique, and fun venue which was an amazing place to have a wedding in the heart of Boston! All our our guests absolutely loved the experience and it was a great way to view the beautiful Boston harbor and skyline for our guests that were visiting Boston for the first time! Aria was our coordinator and did a great job answering all of our questions and helping bring our wedding day to life without a hitch! We had the top shelf liquor package and also added the meat carving station, both of which were a huge hit for our guests. The boat, both inside and outside resulted in some amazing pictures and I especially loved all the pictures from the upstairs down onto the dance floor! An added bonus is that the Spirit of Boston was much more reasonably priced relative to a lot of the other hotels and venues in the central Boston and Boston harbor area. We would highly recommend booking the spirit of Boston for anyone looking for a wedding or party venue! It’s a great venue for those that love water/boats, want to have beautiful views of Boston, and want to provide a unique and fun experience! Our wedding guests are still raving about it months later!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! It was our pleasure to host your wedding onboard the Spirit of Boston. Very best wishes!
We had the most incredible experience for our Wedding Reception! We had our reception on the Seaport Elite II and it was beautiful! When we first started planning our reception, we worked with Meghan. She was very responsive, helped us with any questions or concerns we had, and helped us get through the very stressful time of planning a reception during covid. Thank you Meghan! As we got closer to our wedding, we worked with Aria who was also our coordinator on the day of the reception. Aria was wonderful- she was always available for questions and made time for us no matter what. She was so helpful with turning our vision into a reality and extremely organized. She seriously made all of the prep a breeze! On our actual reception day, she took care of every little detail so that we could just focus on enjoying the day. It was amazing to know we could rely and count on Aria to take care of the details and keep to our schedule for when big things happened like the introductions, cake cutting, etc. The boat itself is beautiful- myself and all of my guests loved how there were 3 different levels that they could go on. The bottom level was used for dinner/cake cutting, middle level was bar/dancing with a beautiful outdoor space with high tables and seating, and the top level was the roof deck and also had more seating and space to move around (and enjoy the gorgeous sunset!). We all loved being able to move around and go to those different spaces! I also appreciated the bridal suite that was available. The team did an incredible job setting up our tables/centerpieces and other decorations. Everything looked STUNNING! The other important thing was the food- the food was SO good! There isn’t one thing we would change - it was delicious (including appetizers!) and everyone was so happy about it. The whole reception was so fun and the views were gorgeous. I truly feel that the team on the Seaport Elite went above and beyond so thank you to Aria, Meghan, and the entire crew for everything they did to make our day special. If you’re looking for a reception venue that is special with incredible views of the city, amazing food, and a team that will make sure you’re taken care of, look no further!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! It was our pleasure to host your wedding onboard the Seaport Elite. Very best wishes!
Such a wonderful experience! Very responsive and well organized! Meghan and the boat crew went above and beyond to make the day amazing and beautiful
Margaret Stracuzzi was my event coordinator for my special day. 6 months of trying to figure out everything and she was the one to help me step by step until my final day. Margaret will never be forgot from any of us, not from my husband, my family or myself. It felt like Margaret was part of the family. Her and the spirit boat team were truly AEWSOME. The day of the wedding, they all made sure that my guest, my husband and I were all taken care of.
THANK YOU Margaret and all of spirit boat employee!!!
Love Mrs. Rivera
Our wedding reception was held onboard the Odyssey on the Friday between Christmas and New Year’s. We both had the time of our life! To us it was the most incredible and memorable night and everything was absolutely perfect! We have also had multiple guests tell us that it was one of the most fun weddings they had ever attended. It was a unique experience for them to experience the cruise ship and it was such an amazing party! The food was incredible – we have received so many compliments. The space was immaculate, decorated beautifully, and crew was so attentive to every need (no matter how small). They went above and beyond to treat each of our guests like VIPs! Every crew member was so excited and happy to be a part of the night. We stepped on board that night and everything was set up perfectly and looked like it was out of a wedding magazine! During the event our coordinator and the crew kept the night organized and moving and made it a night to remember for everyone, especially for us!!
Our wedding coordinator Margaret is truly a Rockstar! There were no hassles here at all! During the planning process she was organized, detailed, creative, thoughtful, accommodating and helped us create an experience that was far beyond anything I could have dreamed of! She always took the time to touch base via email and on the phone, and worked with us every step of the way. Every time we spoke or met I was totally confident in the process and just so excited for our big day! She was personally so dedicated and made sure that every minor detail was exactly as we discussed and was perfect!!
We 110% recommend having a reception onboard the Odyssey!
I cannot express enough my gratitude toward Margaret and the team of Boston Elite Private Yachts.
My wedding day was SPECTACULAR, my guest had a great time... the set up was with traditional Bulgarian decoration... It was truly beyond my expectations.
The team prepared fantastic food, and all the logistic for my big day went through without inconveniences. Margaret always answer all my questions without hesitation she was awesome. Thank you!
Can't say enough about how wonderful our wedding was on the Odyssey. Margaret and the staff were amazing and did everything to make our wedding day and evening very special. Kudos to the ship staff who were so friendly and accommodating. You can't go wrong choosing the Odyssey for your wedding.
My wedding was at Odyssey cruises was nothing less than amazing. The music was great, the food was delicious, the staff was very friendly and attentive and Margaret our event coordinator was the best. She was with us every step of the way and kept us informed. I would definitely recommend to anyone!!! :)
Had such a great time our wedding was awesome. So easy to plan and everything went off without a hitch. We would recommend doing the extra hour as well if you can because you don't realize how quickly it all flies by. Planning was so easy, we had our own dedicated planner that laid everything out for us.
Wow wow wow, our wedding at the Odyssey was beyond I could have ever imagined! Obviously the boat and the Boston skyline as our backdrop was beautiful, but what I did't predict was the amazing work the boat crew did to make our wedding the most magical night. The whole boat crew went above and beyond to take care of all our guests. Our guest were never seen without a drink in hand because the crew were always making sure everyone was taken care. They treated all our 200 guests like royalty, and me and my husband like queen and king. Scott was in charged of us and he made sure our food and drink needs were well taken care (we actually got to eat at the delicious dinner thanks to Scott!). They did exactly the same with all our guests. The food was to die for! The Chef is amazing! People kept raving about our wedding dinner and seafood raw bar at the cocktail hour for weeks (get the raw bar if you really want to impress your guests).
The boat was exquisitely decorated and the night went flawlessly thanks to our fantastic coordinator Margaret who took care of all the details before, during, and after our wedding. I was very impressed with Margaret's work ethic, she did so much for us and made the whole wedding journey a breeze. Our dj "DJ Big" put out the most amazing party at the boat. Right on with the music DJ Big! I can go on and on raving about my wedding at the Odyssey. I can't thank them enough for the wonderful job they did making our wedding the most magical perfect evening. The Odyssey is the way to go when it comes to doing a wedding in Boston. Hands down!
I never write reviews , this is the first . I got married on the Odyssey, October 2018. It was the best night I could of imagined . What made it sooo awesome , was the staff . The boat was absolutely breathtaking and the harbor at night . We had Margaret S. As our event coordinator and she was so awesome and was so helpful she took care of everything! Our Dj was Sean . I loved him he’s such an awesome person , and great DJ ! All of the staff on the boat that night were so amazing. My guest had such a great time , I’m still hearing from people about how awesome the staff was ! All of them ! I couldn’t be more pleased and amazed by our entire wedding experience!! Thank you so much ❤️💍
My Husband and I just got married this past weekend on the Odyssey - what a dream! Our wedding planner, Margaret was incredible. Such a pleasure to work with her and the Odyssey staff. Our guests are still talking about the flowers and how wonderful the food was. The DJ was great and had everyone up and dancing the entire night. The staff was even up dancing at the end of the night! I can’t say thank enough. It was everything we wanted and more.
All of our guests were thoroughly impressed by our sunset cruise reception! It was such a unique and memorable way for our family and friends to experience Boston. We just absolutely loved everything about our ceremony and reception with Entertainment Cruises! Early on in the planning process we worked with Meghan. She was very informative while helping us tailor our wedding package to fit exactly what were looking for. She worked to accommodate all of suggestions and did not disappoint. Our Wedding Coordinator, Margaret, was truly amazing every step of the way as well. Planning the ceremony and reception was stress free with Margaret guiding us through the process. All we had to do was make our various selections (cocktail hour, hors d'oeuvres, dinner, cake, etc.) and she made it all happen. She was very responsive and always available via phone and in person to answer questions or make last minute adjustments. Margaret also served as the point of contact for all of our vendors, coordinating deliveries, etc., which contributed to a stress free wedding day. Additionally, all the staff aboard The Odyssey were so professional and attentive throughout the evening. This amazing team made sure we had nothing to worry about except having fun and enjoying the party!
My husband and I got married this past July and it was the best experience having a wedding on the Odyssey cruise! We would not change a thing except for being able to relive it again and again! Margaret the wedding coordinator, and her crew were detailed, so friendly and fun! So many guests told us this was the best wedding they had gone to and that it was so personal, unique, and a such great time! I was amazed, compared to other typical venues that the Odyssey's one stop price with a 4 hour cruise was so reasonable! The end result was so amazing! We would highly recommend Margaret, her crew and the Odyssey cruise for a wedding there!
I cannot even begin to describe how perfect Odyssey cruises made our wedding day. From initially touring the venue to the very last minute of the ceremony, the staff and crew of Entertainment Cruises Boston worked seamlessly to insure we had the wedding of our dreams. Our account manager, Meghan, went through every detail of our contract and patiently worked with us to accommodate our extended time frame, changes in packages and guest counts. Our wedding coordinator, Margaret, was a godsend throughout the planning process and met with us twice in person and as frequently as we needed to over the phone. She did everything she could to accommodate our Polish wedding traditions and was with us the entire ceremony and reception to guarantee our vision went exactly as we had discussed in our planning meetings. Margaret and the crew of the Odyssey integrated with our wedding guests and completed our intimate wedding - they were truly a part of the day and we loved that they joined in on the dancing and joking around with our guests. The servers and bartender never left a guest waiting and remembered everyone's orders throughout the night. Our guests could not stop raving about the service, weeks after the reception!
The venue speaks for itself - what could be more perfect than an evening cruise overlooking the Boston skyline. The Admiral's Lounge was modern, elegant, and the perfect size for our 50 guests - at a fraction of the cost of surrounding venues. If you are looking for a unique, elegant event in Boston, there is simply no better option. Thank you Odyssey Cruises for giving us the wedding of our dreams!!
Odyssey Cruises were great to work with. Meghan and Margaret took care of all the details for me, and everything was flawless on the day. I'm grateful for such an awesome team on board the Odyssey, looking forward to more functions on board the Odyssey!
The boat is gorgeous, and the view of Boston harbor from the top deck is amazing. I got married on the top deck, and had my reception in the room that is also on the top deck. Everyone loved the food, and the staff, especially Margaret, the event planner were more than helpful. The entire event was flawless, and the attention to detail was enough to please even the pickiest of brides. 10 out of 10. Everyone I invited was impressed, and my bride and I were too.
They made my dreams come true. We first met with Meghan who brought us on the boat and explained how our contract would work and an overview of what the day would be like. Then we got our coordinator Margaret, and she was a godsend! I must have emailed her 1000 times and she always got back to me immediately. She made sure everything was just how I wanted and I couldn’t have survived the planning process or the day without her. The waitstaff and bartenders were amazing as well, one bartender was the funniest girl I have ever met, all my guests loved her!
My husband and I wanted a unique wedding and decided to do our ceremony at Fosters Pavillon and reception on the Odyssey. We are very happy with the results. The coordinator worked with us down to the last minute to make sure everything was in place for our special day. We went with the buffet option and were thoughtful enough aside both some of the hor d'oeuvres, but the lunch as well.
Everyone is still talking about how much fun it was, and how good of a time they had.
My husband and I got married on October 28th on The Odyssey and it was a dream! Throughout the entire process from booking, through planning to the actual day of our wedding everything was simple and actually got us excited about the big day! Our guests have still not stopped raving about the unique venue choice which makes us so happy. One of the best things on our end was that everything from Cake to music to food was taken care of and we didn't have to worry about a thing. This allowed us to actually enjoy our wedding day! Both Nicole and Sam were incredible and answered any question, silly or challenging, along the way. They were very responsive and helpful.
We feel really lucky to have chosen The Odyssey because our wedding is so memorable for both our guests and for us. Just an overall 5 star experience!
I recently got married on a beautiful Spring day in May 2017. The Seaport Elite Yacht was with me every step of the way as they helped to plan the wedding of my dreams! From the moment my husband and I stepped on the boat we knew this would be the perfect place to host our special day.
The Yacht offers private sailing around the Boston Harbor with amazing views, perfect for those romantic candid wedding photos. The Event Coordinator was extremely helpful from the beginning, helping to walk us through our options and ensuring that we had everything personalized down to the last detail. The food was delicious and we had a great variety. I especially appreciated how quick they were to accommodate any dietary redirections and made special arrangements for the children to have chicken fingers. I had around 90 guests and we were all blown away with the quality of the food and the service. It was abundantly clear the thought and consideration that went in to helping us plan this special day.
Having our wedding on the Elite was such unique experience and we are positive it left a lasting impression with our guests. We played giant Jenga and Cornhole on the top deck as we enjoyed each others company while snacking on passed appetizers. The top deck is the ideal spot for us to take wedding photos as well as a perfect place for our guests to take their own photos of the Boston skylines. As if on cue, immediately after our dinner was served a rainbow glowed over the boat while a stunning sunset eased us into a night that we wished would never end. I would highly recommend choosing the Elite Yacht for your wedding venue if you want to have a wedding night that you and your guests will never forget!
From start to finish, we had a great experience working with Entertainment Cruises. The coordinators we worked with were Meghan, Samantha, and Penny. After previously attending a wedding on the Odyssey, my husband said he wanted the same thing for his wedding. However, we went with the Seaport Elite II yacht instead as it was a smaller boat and therefore only had one party in attendance at a time. After inquiring about having our wedding aboard, we were invited to a showcase where we got to see a sample wedding. Upon attending, the deal was closed and we signed the contract almost immediately. Every person we worked with went above and beyond for us. Whenever I sent an email, I received a response almost immediately. Whenever I requested something be tweaked, they always did their best to accommodate. Whenever I needed a quote for an idea, they were also happy to get one. Overall, I thought the price was VERY reasonable as it was a wedding in the city of Boston and it was on a BOAT! The top tier package was very good value and included open bar which was very important to my husband. It also included cake, DJ, flowers, and many other extras so I didn't have to run around like crazy looking for different vendors. In fact, I would say I had a very relaxing experience planning the wedding because everything was included. Furthermore, the vendors that Entertainment Cruises hired were excellent and I will need to write them all good reviews as well because they went above and beyond my expectations! I would feel confident telling anyone to put their trust into Entertainment Cruises to take care of everything and enjoy the big day!
Our experience with Entertainment Cruises was awesome from beginning to end! From sales to our coordinator, the vendors, to the staff on the boat- everyone was excellent. The boat was beautiful, the food was delicious, I always had a drink in my hand!
All that were in attendance were in agreement that our wedding was AWESOME! Some even said the best that they had been to! Every time we reminisce about it, a huge smile comes to both of our faces. This is exactly the reaction that you hope to have when you think about such a special occasion- in fact, we are already toying with the idea of doing the same thing for our 10 year anniversary.
I will recommend Entertainment Cruises to anyone who will listen! Thank you!
I had my small wedding of 30 guests on the Odyssey. It was hard to find a venue that accommodated a wedding of 50 guests while still maintaining a wedding feel. I didn't want dinner at a restaurant, I wanted a small wedding ceremony and reception and that was so difficult to find. I also wanted to find a venue that fit the amount of people I had coming, meaning I wanted the venue to not overwhelm the wedding and make it seem like we were a small group. I wanted a venue to have a small room that made it feel like there were actually more people there then just 30. The odyssey accommodated all of these needs. The JOP Liz made our quick wedding so warm and personal including the story of how my husband and I met in the program. We had a wedding coordinator on the ship who helped us through the formal parts of the reception, letting us know when we should do our dances, when toats would be made, and when we should cut the cake. This helped a lot because we didn't have a DJ since there wasn't enough room in our reception area for one. Buffet was provided by ship and was amazing. We opted for butlered apps during cocktail hour, a buffet, and desserts during the cake portion of the evening. It was A LOT of food but everything was delicious, the guests couldn't stop talking about the salmon. The party favors of pictures of guests boarding the odyssey was provided right before departing the ship for the night. The only critique I'd give is that I wish the cruise was one hour longer. Usually receptions are 4-5 hours long but the whole wedding including ceremony was 4 hours long. We were enjoying ourselves so much on the boat, we had no idea we docked and it was time to get off. I think if it was one hour longer, things could've been spaced out better and the night would've had a nice flow. Did feel a bit rushed due to the short period of time we had but staff, venue and food were great.
I had my reception on the Elite 2 in Boston. It was amazing and PERFECT. Every single guest had a great time, the DJ was great, the waiters. Food, Cake, drinks! All my guests told me they have not been to a better wedding in their lives. it's been 6 mos, and I am still told it was the best party ever! We booked the Elite 2 completely so it was just my party, and we paid for an extra hour, which we were right, absolutely needed it. you will not be disappointed :)
I would recommend the Seaport Elite II as a wonderful and unique venue for your wedding reception. The staff went out of their way to make the reception a truly memorable experience.
I was married at a nearby park and held my reception at the Odyssey, which gives a spectacular cruise in Boston Harbor. Not only was the view phenomenal, but the service was impressive, and the attention to detail on point. I didn't want the day to end! Great staff, great vibes. Thank you so much!
We had our wedding reception aboard The Odyssey. As soon as we saw it advertised, we knew it was the perfect choice for us!
The planning staff, especially Katie, helped us with picking the right choices for our budget. There are lots of options for making it more or less expensive. For example, dinner cruises are more expensive, whereas a lunch cruise is less expensive. We live 5 hours away from Boston, so planning could've been a challenge. But Katie met with us when we were in town, showed us the boat, and answered all of our questions.
As we got closer to our wedding, Allison from The Odyssey helped us plan all of the details. She also made time to meet with us to go over our menu options, tickets for our guests, etc. She made sure that our place settings were all done perfectly; just as we asked.
The food was excellent; especially the short ribs! The boat was decorated beautifully, with gorgeous chairs and tables on the outside decks.
The reception was beautiful, and everyone had a great time. I would definitely recommend this venue to everyone!!
Our experience on the Seaport Elite could not have been better! From the pre-planning to the on-site execution, the team was thoughtful, helpful and very professional.
Would highly recommend this option for a very memorable, beautiful wedding venue.
Thank you!
I could not have been more pleased with my experience with Odyssey Cruises! The planning process with Katie and Lauren was so easy and they really made me feel like I had nothing to worry about. They were such experts in their field and covered even the silliest of details that I didn't even think about. My guests were raving about the food, but the compliment I heard the most was about the service - the staff was so polite and accommodating - no request was a bother and any needs were attended to quickly. Having a DJ and cake included in the cost was definitely another plus. Both vendors were familiar with the policies and lay-out of the boat which made things that much easier when going over details, delivery times, etc. The only downfall to the day was the unexpected weather - we got clouds and rainy mist, which you can't control at any venue, but once inside we never thought about it again because there was so much to do and everyone was on the dance floor all night! The boat was such a fun location because we got to see so much of Boston while we were cruising and that was awesome for our out of town guests – PLUS there was a covered bar outside which meant that the less than fortunate weather didn't stop us from still experiencing the fun of exploring the outdoor decks. As they all say....it flew by so fast and I wish it were longer, but what can you do! All in all, I would highly recommend Odyssey Cruises for a wedding venue. They are friendly, responsive and professional. You will definitely get what you pay for!
My husband and I wanted to have a wedding that was memorable for all attendees and intimate yet slightly different than most weddings. After some online research, I found this option. They were nothing short of AMAZING! We planned our entire wedding in three months and not by ourselves but with the help of The Odyssey Cruises Staff. This is pretty much your one-stop shop for a wedding. They provide a voucher for the cake and match you with a DJ. They provide local recommendations and assistance along every step.
On the day of the wedding, we had so much help that our sales rep was bustling my dress and the wedding coordinator was just as helpful!
The food - WELL....top notch! I received all positive feedback.
It was a bit of a costly option for us; however, we had a smaller wedding (85) which made it manageable and well worth it! I would do it over again in a heartbeat! (Wish I could!) With everyone's help...our day was PERFECT! I can't say enough about this crew!
Oh! And if you need help deciding which voucher to use for your wedding cake - Konditor Meister!

My husband and I wanted something different for our wedding and knew this was perfect for us. The boat is absolutely stunning, decorations aren't needed. The views from the harbor are beautiful as well. There is a wedding coordinator that works with you every step of the way. They were very quick to answer my emails or phone calls with any questions or concerns. The only down side is the coordinator you work with isn't always the person on the boat with you the day of the wedding. Either way it turned out great. The food was to die for, I've never had such great food at a wedding. We chose the harborside supper buffet. The food was hot and fresh and prepared right on the boat. The hors dhorves weren't really things I liked but my guests said they were delicious. We opted for the open bar for the whole reception and in my opinion was worth it. There is a dj and JOP they recommend, but you can definitely use your own. We used the ones they provided and they were excellent. We added an extra hour to the reception for a total of 5hrs on the boat and it was just the right amount of time. There is a bridal suite on board which came in handy for last minute touch ups or a place to be out of sight while guests are boarding the boat. The boat did rock a little bit only once while we were out in the harbor but it was only because a large boat passed by us, otherwise you didn't even know you were on a boat. All in all, this wedding was spectacular. Our guests can't stop talking about it.
The boat was a fun/unique idea that the guests seemed to enjoy. The food was great- way better than I thought it would be for a boat.
We recently had our reception aboard the odyssey and it was stunning! Everyone really loved the fact that we got married aboard such a beautiful setting. The staff was absolutely AMAZING! They were extra friendly and did not hesitate to accommodate us with anything we asked for. We had our ceremony at Foster's Pavilion which is right before we board the Odyssey at Rowes Wharf. It was also very beautiful. They forgot to put the rose petals on aisle, which we paid for, but we didn't even notice it until we saw the pictures! We were also a little displeased with our account manager about some fees that we felt she was being unclear about. However, our only problem was before our wedding started; our wedding day was SPECTACULAR and the staff was truly AMAZING!
The venue was gorgeous and the food was delicious. My only issues were that the staff was not knowledgible and they mixed up my seating chart. They also were not apologetic about any mistakes that they made.
Great setting, amazing food, fabulous options, great wedding planners. Truly unique and so much fun for everyone of any age.
I really enjoyed our reception, as did all our guests. The big complaint that I have with Odyssey is the planning process is very frustrating. They bounced us around from one planner to another and I didn't have much confidence in their professionalism or attention to details. They are not very flexible with their packages. Overall, a wonderful experience on the boat though. Service and food was wonderful. I would recommend the boat for special occasions.
Boston Harbour at night with sunset, fireworks, georgous weather, the food was fabulous. the boat was large and held all of us with outdoor deck that was awesome.;The sound system is loud when the boat is docked, with motor running you can't hear music. You need to hire your own band or dj with a system.
