We just rented it for a tv shoot. The Newport Beach yacht club, is amazing. It was the perfect location. We used the ICON for 2 days. Thank you for providing us a perfect vessel.

Loved it the crew did amazing job especially Leeson Gooin dealing with the crowd I have lol. The food, dj, photographer and videographer was wonderful my crowd had a good time. Thanks so much for sharing that day with me charter yacht of newport beach

I recently got married aboard the Zumbrota yacht and the experience was better than I could have ever expected! Jane and Elizabeth were extremely helpful, and Christina (the on-board coordinator) was extraordinary! We also had Captain Vic on the ship- he was super fun! We planned this wedding in about two months and Hornblower managed to accommodate all last minute needs and provided all the best vendors. Our guests said the food and endless mimosas were absolutely amazing and everyone had a BLAST. So pleased with Hornblower!

We had our wedding on Endless Dream Yacht in Newport. It was a beautiful event our family and friends had such a great time! Graciela Kim was amazing! I'm a busy individual and didn't want my wedding day to be stress-full. So many brides told me they regretted not being present the day of their wedding, they were so preoccupied with the details. The yacht venue made it very simple for me to make decisions and they had their staff coordinating the day. I would highly recommend Hornblower!

Thanks again to everyone at Hornblower especially Jane and Elizabeth and the staff and crew of The Entertainer! Our celebration was beautiful! The ship was gorgeous, food was delicious, the drink flowed and the entire staff seemed to celebrate with us as they took impeccable care of our guests. Special thanks to our onboard coordinator, Megan. She did a great job of keeping up with us and keeping things on track. Thanks also to the gracious Captain who was delightful as our guest boarded and disembarked and lastly, thanks to the amazing chef who created our special menu. Your ship was a gorgeous backdrop for the love and celebration!

Our experience was not very good. We had a wedding event. It was very disorganized, although we payed for wedding coordinator - it was none then our wedding took place. So, it was very disorganized. I read in other reviews that the owner was very rude ( I wish I sow those reviews earlier). He is definanlty interested in charging lots of money upfront and do not want to pay back for anything that was not done. We have never got our money back for the coordinator that was not there. DJ sucks! We took out time (4 hours) to select the songs we wanted him to play. Guess what - he played whatever he had - very old style. Our guests got bored and left 1-1/2 hour after the event started. And we payed for 4 hours. We picked uppetizers menu - definantly not enough. But Ariel told us that it was going to be a lot of food. So some of our guests had to go to the near restaurants to eat. They served appetizers too soon and too quick. some guests came later and had no chance to eat anything at all. The location is fabulouse, the club house is very modern, but everything else - sucks. We payed $4500.00 and got our guests leaving after 1-1/2 hour. might as well to have this at home - better food and service. BTW - bathrooms are not clean and do not even have soup to wash your hands. We are very disappointed and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Money from a guest's purse was stolen. The top of our cake was not saved and was disposed of without our authorization. Bride's belongings couldn't be secured. The list of vendors to select from is minimal at best. Upgraded lighting did not fully worked properly. My family's table did not have champagne served at the time to do the brindis. Food from catering company was good but we did not get one of the side dishes we requested and tasted...instead, we had a substitution without our knowledge... we were given the most ridiculous excuse why we were not served rice pilaf and instead were served colored rice! Seating chart was not followed as requested. Attention to details is minimal. Owner provided excuses, never apologized for all that went wrong. Extremely disappointed for a wedding that we doubled up the time (8 hrs vs 4 hrs) and paid premium price since we upgraded everything.

My wedding ceremony and reception took place on Hornblower's Just Dreamin' yacht in Newport Harbor, and it was amazing! The staff was so kind and helpful prior to and during the event. They served brunch during the reception, and the food was delicious. The boat was beautiful, and the views were stunning. It was a really unique venue. All of the guests had a great time. I would highly recommend Hornblower Cuises and Event for weddings and other celebrations!

Stumbling upon the Charter Yachts of Newport Beach had my stars aligned for our wedding to be held then- in 6 months. It's helpful how the Knot narrowed down my options with highlighting reviews, location and affordability. Most brides would I feel be concerned with that. My first phone call with Ariel of CYNB sealed the deal for me. They offer a bride the chance to have an out of the box wedding, inclusive of the planning for food, decor, ceremony, music, cake, etc which would save the groom (mine) a lot of headache from having to select from various vendors. CYNB have their own and come highly recommended. Ariel is the event coordinator who is top notch at her job, making sure your needs and priorities as bride and groom are best attended to. She is very friendly and goes the extra mile to. You would love working with her. Another good thing about Charter Yachts is that, even if you were a thousand miles away at the time of planning, they can make it happen. Once you commit of course. Ariel covers the major details over the line or internet. We did a site visit over different time zones. Assured that no final decisions be made until 2 weeks prior the wedding date, this was very workable in the circumstance my husband and I were in as I had only arrived a few weeks prior from the Philippines. We had our reception at the Icon and it just went by so smoothly that I didn't understand how brides can be stressed out in the first place. It was great! The food was served on board- delicious, music of your choice playing, the view just beautiful coasting off the beach, weather perfect. The guests simply enjoyed and you need not worry about entertaining them. The staff were all so accommodating and professional. It is an incredibly great find. And we were very lucky to have been given the opportunity to do so with CYNB.

Great venue!!!! Leslie was simply the best! The greatest thing about this menu was having everything done through Leslie and Charter Yachts. You know that all of their vendors are going to be reputable and you don't have to worry about communication errors because all of the vendors that they use our regular vendors . I would definitely recommend them for the bride and groom that are busy and don't have a ton of time to commit to preparing for your wedding. Charter yachts made our day the best we could've imagined and everyone is still raving about our wedding ! Thanks to Leslie and the Charter Yachts staff and vendors!

I have never felt so unimportant or insignificant as i did this day that was supposed to be all about us. It was a beautiful wedding, but I would not recommend Icon at least not for a small event. They clearly only care about making money and quick turnover at the expense of their guests.

Absolutely beautiful setting to be married. For the most part everything you need is included, you just need to choose the vendors you want from their list, which made it very easy since I live in another state.

Hornblower took care of everthing and offered a day of coordinator. Holland was amazing! It was so easy and they took care of everything, and so the actual wedding planning was practically stress free! The food was surprisingly delicious, and we got to eat our meal--which I think is a high complaint normally for bridal couples. :) I highly recommend them based on our experience. The staff was pleasant and the captain did a great job during the ceremony.

Everyone at Hornblower was extremely helpful in planning our wedding down to every last detail. The lag in the response time was occasionally frustrating, but overall everything came out beautifully!

Leslie, my coordinator was ideal. She was on the ball, had it all together, and made my day absolutely perfect and stress free! Anything you wanted/needed she'd have done in a second.

My wedding with Hornblower Crusies turned out better than I could have ever dreamed! We got married on the yacht called Mojo! It is such a good deal! Everything is included except for a photographer! The price for what you get is unbeatable! The food was soooo good! The DJ played all our favorite songs and keep the partying good all night! The flowers turned out beautiful and she gave us such an amazing deal for what we got! Other places would have charged us thousands for the work she did and she only charged us 900!! And the view of having your wedding on a yacht is breathtaking!! Wonderful water views all around! My guests haven't stopped telling me how it was the best wedding they have ever been too!!

I love everyone at Hornblower, they were very professional from the beginning. On the day of the wedding, everyone made sure all was perfect. My yacht wedding was truly amazing!

While planning a small wedding from out of state, I had some difficulty early on finding a venue that offered intimacy and privacy for a small group and was also affordable. Hornblower Cruises and Events was the perfect solution. Everyone we worked with was friendly, responsive, and professional. Karen, our representative, was great to work with and helped me get connected with all the other services we were looking for. Many area hotels offer a corporate rate for Hornblower clients which we and our guests found to be very competitive. We chose the Champagne Brunch package on the yacht Dream Maker with our ceremony performed by the captain and had a lovely event. We were able to customize parts of our ceremony, which I wasn't sure would be possible and very much appreciated. Captain Gordon was very friendly and personable, but also brought a nice degree of formality and gravitas in performing our ceremony. He was also very kind when my husband got a little choked up during our vows. The on-board service was excellent - everyone was friendly, cheerful, and very much on top of things. The brunch buffet was very good, plentiful, and nicely presented. Our guests enjoyed the food, the harbor cruise, and the beautiful surroundings. It was easy to accomplish a nice, relaxed environment that allowed us to really enjoy our wedding and our guests. One consideration to be aware of is that the steps between levels on Dream Maker are quite steep. Our elder guests managed just fine with assistance but extra accommodations would be needed for anybody with more significant mobility limitations. The other larger yachts will have different layouts, of course. I also needed some help on the stairs until my gown was bustled, but Holland the on-board coordinator always seemed to be on hand at just the right moment. Wearing a long gown and even having a train on the yacht can be manageable with some planning. I made sure to wear flats for convenience but my guests who wore heels had no problems navigating the steps. In conclusion, my new husband says "They really know what they are doing and they got everything right."

CYNB was the best decision my husband and I could have made for our wedding! Leslie was an amazing coordinator and made sure everything was exactly as we dreamed. So great that they work with the best vendors around that are also familiar with the routine, made it all flow so smoothly. Extremely professional, but since it's a family owned company, they made us feel like family too! If we ever want to have another big event in our life, we will definitely use CYNB again. I highly recommend any brides to choose them, you wont regret it! (So affordable too) Wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

Having worked with Hornblower Cruises was the best decision we made regarding our wedding venue. It was a package deal. Food was included, as well as the DJ. We weren't to impressed with the DJ, but you can hire your own if you prefer. Other than that everything right down to the coordinator on board was fantastic!!! The cake was even included and basic table dress/ware. They give you the option to have added details from vendors they work with, or they give you the option to work with outside vendors of your choice. Which saves on money as well. They gave us time to board the boat early with our wedding party, and also to decorate if we wanted to. We cruised for 5 hours, and every guest on the boat had an great experience. For some it was their first time on a yacht. They have a great selection of yachts as well. I will say we are from San Diego, but it seemed that the Newport area had better options, and deals than San Diego. They were more flexible as well.

The Icon is amazing and so is everyone at Charter Yachts of Newport Beach especially Leslie Weilenga! Leslie was my wedding coordinator and she is very outgoing and it's very obvious that she is passionate about weddings. We decided to have our wedding aboard the Icon after looking at multiple locations including wineries, golf courses and bed and breakfast venues and I'm so happy we did. Leslie made everything so easy for me! She was very responsive every time I e-mailed or called! She also was very good about following up with me to make sure I was on track with everything I needed. The wedding day went so smooth and amazingly I wasn't stressed about anything because I knew if anything did come up that Leslie would take care of it! The caterer for the Icon is awesome!!! I'm still getting compliments from my guests about the food (especially the goat cheese wontons with strawberry merlot sauce...yum!) All I can say is if you are looking for an amazing experience for your wedding day and for your guests you should definitely book your wedding aboard the icon! The food is so delicious the staff is great and it's a perfect location to get beautiful wedding photos!

My good friend used Hornblower for her wedding dinner cruise. It was one of the best weddings I've been to! The food was great (to be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect on a boat!), the staff was friendly and accommodating to all of our needs.

We were married 8/20/2011 on Entertainer in Newport Beach in an evening wedding. Amy was our planner for almost a year before being promoted to Director of Sales. She's amazing to work with! She's kind and patient and couldn't have been sweeter. Holland was our "day of" coordinator and she was just as amazing! She's professional and organized, which kept us on time and things flowing perfectly. Heather in the front office was fantastic to work with too. Our boat was gorgeous, complete with sprays of twinkle lights and nice decor. Food was delicious, although I was too busy to eat much, but all of our guests said everything was quite tasty. The DJ was good and took all of our suggestions and requests to heart. Everyone danced the night away, and had a great time. We could not have been happier, or have had more fun, than we did with Adventures At Sea. You won't be disappointed!

To anyone that is interested in using Adventures At Sea, don't hesitate. All I wanted was a California wedding on the beach and I ended up with an AMAZING wedding on the water. I can't even explain how awesome the girls (Karen,Heather and Alison) are. They know their stuff and were always helpful with anything and everything I needed input on. Karen was always there to assist me, weather it was a long phone conversation or a quick email. I couldn't have asked for a better coordinator. Everyone at Adventures was on top of everything. Like I mentioned above Karen was the best, but there was also the best crew on board. The day of my wedding they had everything set up so beautifully and the food was great. I couldn't have asked for anything better. The only bad part was that it was here and gone so fast. I wish we could have sailed for a little longer.

I actually won a wedding with them and paid to have an additional 25 guests and the planning with them was a little difficult but it was an experience and the day of was almost amazing. For example they totally worked with getting the vendors on to the yacht earlier then they were allowed which helped with set up, which was a plus. one down point we had at the beginning was the issue of a certain amount of people being able to do pre boarding for pictures, which was not enough for my whole entire wedding party, i felt like they were telling me how many i can have in my wedding party, but after talking to someone they were able to accommodate everyone. Staff is really nice and if you have communication everything will go great! trust me the day of everything turns out good and it is so amazing.

REALLY GREAT SERVICE

We were looking for a stress free wedding venue and this was the perfect choice! Karen King took care of everything from the flowers to the cake to the food and entertainment. All we had to do was show up with our guests and enjoy the night. It was also a great value, the food was delicious, the staff was very attentive, and the entertainment included live music. We had many compliments from our guests. The yacht was fantastic - we felt like celebrities.

We got married on October 16,2010. From the moment we contacted Adventures at Seas-Hornblower Co. We were totally taken care of . Our wedding cordinator Karen King was absolutely the best!! Her and the staff really went over and beyond their duties to make our wedding day perfect. From the cake, to the flowers , to the food, service and scenery we couldn't ask for anything better. Everyone was so professional and nice ! Karen never let any question go unanswered , I knew I could put my trust in her to plan our beautiful day. We were going to get married in a small church, then we inquired at Adventures At Sea, after a fabulous Valentine's Day evening cruise, which I recommend. We scratched the churches and called upon Adventures At Sea to host our wedding and reception and it was the best thing we EVER did. We had a small, intimate, sunset wedding in June 2010. Let me tell you though. Before signing up, I interviewed with Jennifer. . . what a delight! She was extremely thorough and believe me, I asked plently of questions and told her exactly what I wanted. Afterall, you want your wedding day to be very special. I even sent her MANY emails as questions would arise and she would immediately respond back. Sometimes I even called her and she was there for me and you could always her that smile in her voice. I knew from the interview, all the emails and phone conversations that I wouldn't have to worry about anything on my wedding day. You brides know what I'm talking about, right? Right! Our wedding and reception was flawless. Eveything moved incredibly smooth from the arrival of guests to the departure. My new hubby and I got to enjoy the evening with our family and friends without any worries. Everything turned out better than I had ever expected, from the rehearsal, to the wedding, to the reception, and of course the departure. They did a fabulous job with my table decor. I brought several things to put on the tables as centerpieces because I wanted the personal touch. They put them on the tables exactly the way I wanted them. Let me also say the apetizers and dinner were amazing. DELICIOUS!! The DJ, the flowers, everything was perfect! Oh, and who could forget the tour of the harbor. . WOW! It was a beautiful sunset. We loved our wedding day. FYI, I chose my florist & DJ from the list of vendors they provided. I interviewed 2 florists and went with Mercy Bouquet-Kathy is the best!! What I'm saying is, if you use their vendors, you just can't go wrong. They want the best for every bride and it truly shows in everything they do. Adventures At Sea's guest service brought it all together. Heather and Ally were fantabulous! My guests told me the service was outstanding. That made me feel so good because you want your guests to be taken care of, be happy and have a wonderful time. Everything was phenominal!! Many of our guests have said we should have our 1 year anniversary on the MOJO and invite them again. It's been 6 months and my family and friends are STILL talking about the "wedding & reception on the yacht". It is wonderful memory in everyone's mind. We cannot say enough about Karen King, Chad, and the rest of the staff. Our wedding was everything that we asked for and more. Karen recommended Pamela Lowe the florist, Rossmore Bakery for our cake, and Steven the D.J. We were extremely pleased with these choices. Our choice for the sit down luncheon aboard the "Dream Maker" was perfect. Our guests raved about how wonderful the food and the day was. The kicker is that they were able to put it together for us in 10 weeks. You would have never known either. They are truly Professionals!! We would recommend Adventures at Sea anytime!!

We chose Hornblower because we live out of the area and needed our wedding planning to be easy. Everything was included in the package. The coordinator was experienced and so helpful. The vendors are of excellent quality - the cake,the food, the flowers, the music, even the minister were professional and friendly. We are very happy with the way everything turned out. Our special day was beautiful, fun and perfect.

Adventures at Sea was an amazing company to deal with. I live out of state, so a lot of the preliminary communication was via email/phone, and Jennifer was super to deal with. Right from the beginning she made me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions. Once we were able to visit the boats and finally reserve one (we went with "Mojo") we were even more impressed with the service and friendliness of everyone! The day of the wedding went off seamlessly and all of our guests commented on how smoothly everything flowed and how great the food was, the atmosphere, etc. I felt like I didn't have to lift a finger or worry about anything. I truly could not have asked for anything more and would highly recommend Adventures at Sea to anyone who wants a unique and beautiful wedding.

I began my planning a bit early, 3 years early, having had to change the date once. So I went thru at least 3 sales girls. All very nice and so attentive to my needs. I emailed them so much I almost felt bad. I have to say though that every email was answered in detail regarding whatever I was asking. My last salesperson Karen King-Hoyman, was awesome, she worked very closely with me and essentially with my wedding planner. The day of the main event turned out beautifully. I couldn't have asked for better service. I would definately recommend this company to anyone looking for a chic/romantic/all-inclusive event. Thank you.

We wanted a wedding by the ocean but at the same time something unique, simple but elegant. We planned to have about 50 guests and wanted something intimate where everyone can enjoy. We saw the Mojo yacht from Adventures At Sea and it was just perfect. It is newly renovated, looked like a private yacht (compared to other yachts) and it was beautiful. The people at Adventures At Sea were wonderful. Our wedding coordinator was Tonya who was just very sweet and helped me all the way from planning to execution of the event. She was just great! We chose the Elite package and the food choices were superb. During the wedding, we had an on-board coordinator, Allison, who was just as great. I am happy with their service. I highly recommend this company.

This was a great choice because I had just about everything except my photographer wrapped into one package, with multiple vendors to choose from. The yacht was amazing, and surprisingly affordable (we had wanted to do a vineyard wedding but couldn't afford it - never thought a yacht would be cheaper!). The downside was I got little to no attention until about two weeks prior to the big day. My calls went unreturned and it was like pulling teeth to get the info I needed, which hindered the planning process considerably. I think this is just because they do not consider you a priority until closer to the event. From then on, the service was great (I highly recommend Holland as your day-of coordinator and do NOT recommend Amy Deift as your ongoing contact person - try to book with someone else).

I loved being on the water, the view was fantastic, and because we were in Newport Bay the entire time, no one had any issues with motion sickness. The staff was fantastic and treated us like royalty. The boat had recently been updated and was really lovely.;This was on a yacht on the ocean. We were lucky enough to have a gorgeous full moon and mild weather, but they obviously can't guarantee that. Also, everything has to be brought onto the boat, which creates certain issues with gifts (because of terrorism laws) and potential issues.

The staff of the yacht was so helpful and friendly to the guests. The food that was prepared was perfect there is nothing that I would change about the food.

Being on the water!!! The set up provided space for everyone - place to sit and chat place to dance place outside to cool off and have quiet chats. Pictures/views were incredible and the Coordinator on the boat was totally amazing!;Remember - there will be other boats on the water and they CAN see what is going one - we had one boat drive by and tell us not to do it.... but is was still an awesome experience!
