Her advertising on social and here isn’t the best. She only shows her work, not any of the girls she has working for her, you have to specifically ask for each artists social media because they only provide a small portfolio, but I like to see how each artist interacts on their socials also. I booked a trial with one of her girls in Chicago, before I even went to the trial, I received an invoice for my trial (I already put down a deposit), on the invoice I was also being charged for travel even though I was travelling to the artist for my trial. 1) I’m not paying anything further until I receive my service 2) I shouldn’t have been charged for travel. When I inquired about it, it took TWO WEEKS to get a response, after I reached out for the 3rd time. I was never in contact with Paula- the owner. It was always her assistant who then gave the excuse that her phone was stolen. You’re running an entire business, you went without a phone for two weeks? Even then, you don’t have a tablet, laptop, desktop, ANY other source of communication via email?? While I liked my make up a lot, it WAS done in a fairly dark salon so when I stepped outside it wasn’t totally the right color for my skin. But it was a trial and that’s what trials are for so I don’t fault the artist AT ALL for any of this. She did a great job, very welcoming, friendly, and communicative. But because of what I dealt with leading up to the trial, I chose not to book my wedding day with them. In an already stressful time, I don’t need to worry about Paula and her assistant forgetting to communicate with me. Or charging me incorrectly.
