Paula is incredible! I hired her based on her reviews to do my hair and makeup for a wedding I was attending at the Union League Club in Chicago. She came prompt to the hotel, set up quickly and totally understood the look I was going for! She pretty much read my mind and my hair and makeup looked amazing. I received compliments the whole night and I was just a guest! I felt as beautiful as I did on my own wedding day! Paula was amazing! I used her for my wedding. I usually don't wear a lot of makeup so I was a little hesitant at first, but Paula made me look so natural. The trial was great- she did half my face using airbrush and half with foundation so I could decide what I wanted to do on my big day. When the big day arrived she was on time and did a great job not only on my sister, but also on my mom and my mother-in-law. Paula also gave me a list of the products she used on me. I would definetly recommend Paula for all of your make-up needs.

I worked with Paula from City Lights Makeup Artistry for my maternity photo session. Paula is extremely talented in her art form, and also organized as a business woman! We were able to pick a date, and from there I was sent email confirmations, contract, and even handouts with how to ensure I would have the best possible experience. What a great first impression. Paula arrived to our location on-time and brought all professional items with her - including this light that would guarantee application was done correctly no matter the light source of the location. We talked a bit about what look I wanted for the maternity session and Paula’s style. (I highly recommend you take a look at her portfolio of work - it is amazing!) I loved my look - both makeup and hair. Honestly, I felt flawless and my picture proofs show this. I know people go back and forth between "just doing their own makeup" or paying for a professional to do it. I can’t stress enough that paying a professional is worth every cent. Not only do you look amazing, but you also get a unique opportunity to learn from a professional what looks best on you applied where. I used City Lights for both boudoir make up (as wedding present to my hubby) and for my wedding. I usually do not wear a lot of make up so I get nervous when I get my make up done, but Paula did a fantastic job! My make up looked flawless and lasted all day, and so did my bridesmaids. It was the first time my mom had professional make up done, so she was really nervous. After it was done, she told me she had never felt prettier! I would highly recommend using Paula for any make up needs!

The make-up artist was super nice and on time. The only reason I paid so much was because this was my wedding and I didn't have to worry about touching up. I don't regret it, but I also won't do it again. One thing they should think about is doing the bridal preview for free, because even that was pricey
