The best catering company in Houston! The tasting is what sold us on booking them for our wedding.The love and dedication they put into their craft were evident, and they made us feel like family. My husband is a picky eater, and he absolutely loved the menu. Rachel is truly an amazing person all around. She made creating the menu a breeze. She made sure we had enough food for our guest.The variety and flavor of their offerings truly elevated our event. Overall, we had an amazing experience and recommend them to anyone that truly want to elevate their event.

Rachel and CVC provided an incredible experience for us and our wedding guests. Multiple people at the wedding mentioned this was the best wedding food they ever had (even at their own weddings). Moreover CVC helped us achieve our perfect wedding dinner while ensuring we met our budget constraints. Even switching over to buffet-style service so close to the wedding. Rachel was a joy to work with and during our tastings and conversation provided great ideas, pairings and overall guidance. We highly recommend CVC to anyone in the Houston area.

I have never been involved with an event where the Co-Owner, followed through on every step of the process. Although I (the Bride) did not get to eat very much…. as I spoke with our family and friends, everyone said the food was fantastic!!! Everything worked out for the set up and break down of the equipment. All together…. our catered wedding by City View took ALL THE PRESSURE away… not a care in the world!!!! Absolutely loved working with City View! I found them at first for my sister’s wedding - she and her wife are both vegan and I noticed that there were a ton of plant-based offerings. I accompanied them to their initial tasting, loved the food and told my fiance we needed to come back to do a tasting for our own wedding! Everything they make is amazing, it was hard to narrow it down, but I will say the chicken wellington tower is a stand out dish. We got plenty of compliments from our guests on the day of, and everyone with special diets was very easily accommodated, from gluten free to vegan to nut allergies. There were no issues with set up and take down, everything was punctual and efficient. If I were to do it all over again I would be very happy to work with Liz and the whole team at City View again, and if I am ever a guest at another City View wedding I would be very excited!

The service and food was top notch. Everyone at our wedding commented on how great the food and service was, even commenting on it several more times days after the wedding was over. Liz was amazing to work with during the whole process...she did all of our tastings, and was head of the team when catering our wedding. When we ran out of limes, she had someone run out and get more. Just amazing all around - best wedding food anyone had ever had. Can't say enough about them - would use them again in a heart beat.

everyone said our wedding food was great and another engaged couple have already asked for City View's Information for their own upcoming wedding. our wedding features 6 different stations that were each beautifully set up. We wanted an interactive fun menu where guests could choose when and where to eat. Victoria worked with us to create a unique menu that featured customized elements including a late-night ramen” bar at the end of the nights a custom desert. the tastings were INCREDIBLE. Heaps of food. They really want you to try everything. We had two tastings at city view’s kitchen and one “take home” tasting to try a few additional options to keep everything in our budget range. City View’s tastings tasted like the food that was served at the actual event. So many friends warned me that tastings are usually good since they are cooked fresh for just a few people. however, when it comes time to serve the same food to your 200 wedding guest, don’t expect the same quality. We are happy to report with City view, what you taste is what you get! Easy to work with family run business with great staff.

I cannot say enough good things about City View. From the minute I requested a tasting I knew that I had nothing to worry about. Rachel and team are very attentive and responsive. And let's talk about the food. WOW!! It made it difficult to make a decision but you can't go wrong with anything they put in front of you. The presentation is beautiful and the service is just as good. I'll definitely use City View again.

I genuinely CANT say enough positive things about city view! From the initial tasting we knew this company was perfect for us. We worked a lot with Rachel and she is so incredibly thorough, we felt completely taken care of with her leading! My husband is vegan and they were able to accommodate him and we were so thankful that he had a delicious meal. Our vegetarian friends also had great meals and didn’t just get stuck with a salad and a side. They helped us make sure that everyone had a meal they could be happy with regardless of food sensitivities which was important to us. Everyone complimented the food and no one went home hungry! I genuinely could not recommend City View enough!

we used City View for our wedding in October of 2023. they were amazing to work with, we had to tastings prior to our big day, the food was amazing, everything was so fresh and delicious. they were really good at accommodating changes for us such as allergies and restrictions for some of the guests. I would definitely will be using them for any future event in our family.

I highly recommend CityView for all your catering needs, especially on your big day! They provide 2 tastings with tons of food to take home, be sure to bring your parents to try with you (its a lot of food!). Van, Rachel, and the rest of their staff are extremely accommodating in making sure their food presentation is superb along with the food tasting great. We had many guests from our wedding comment on how pretty everything looked, but more importantly how great everything tasted!

When my husband and I went for our initial tasting, we were blown away by the quality of the food. They stayed consistent all the way until the day of the wedding! We absolutely loved City View for our wedding. The food was incredible, and we received nothing but compliments from our guests. Their tasting and decision-making process is exceptional, and we enjoyed every tasting session throughout the wedding planning process. They provide a wide array of choices to sample from and assist in selecting the best meal presentation. The Chicken Wellington Tower was SO GOOD! Their food is perfectly seasoned, tastes fresh and not processed, unlike many other caterers we tried. Van and Rachel's communication was excellent, and they promptly addressed any questions we had. They were able to accommodate our guests with multiple dietary restrictions. Moreover, they assisted with serving the cake and cleanup, and their staff was highly professional. Van and his team were an A+ from the start to the finish. I know you have gone to weddings before and when you leave you don't remember anything about the food. I am here to tell you that I have been getting nothing but great compliments about the food since the wedding. If I heard it once, I heard it a dozen times about how good the food was. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this caterer! From the moment they were hired, they wanted to ensure we were happy with our menu and included multiple tastings to make that happen. The presentation of the hors d’oeuvres, and of the buffet were excellent and I continue to receive comments from guest on how wonderful the food was, I also cannot complement their staff enough. They were on point! Continuously, making sure glasses were filled and plates were bussed. Once they were hired, van, and Rachel made sure everything was taken care of leaving us with absolutely nothing to worry about! If you hire CityView, you will not be disappointed! Beyond grateful for all they did to ensure our event was flawless!

Our experience with City View was exceptional down to every last detail. The tasting was amazing and entertaining. The City View Catering team did outstanding job catering our daughter's wedding. From the multiple tastings to details of flatware placement, City View worked to have our event come off successfully. Many comments about how good the food was ..... especially the Chicken Wellington!

From start to finish, we had a fantastic experience with Rachel, Van, and City View Catering. Their attentiveness, customer service, and, most importantly, food can't be beat. Before you even book, you get a complimentary tasting that involves farm more food than anyone should reasonably be able to eat. Closer to your event, you get a second tasting, to finalize the menu and begin figuring out all of the details. Throughout the process, Rachel was very responsive, working with us to address additions, subtractions, and customized dishes for our guests with food allergies. The day of our wedding, the staff was on right time and immediately jumped into working on setting up tables and chairs. Dinner was ready to go exactly when we needed it, and the buffet system they used meant everyone got their food fast. We got compliments all night long about how much everyone loved their dinner! Similar to set-up, breakdown was a breeze and got everything put away in no time.

City View was phenomenal from the first phone call all the way to the end of our wedding night! They went above and beyond to personalize the menu to our wants, communication was so easy, and our guest have not stopped asking us about who catered our wedding. Wedding day food taste the exact same as the tastings and that is unheard of. Save yourself the time and headache and just book with CVC!!

This caterer is INCREDIBLE! They were one of the recommended caterers at my venue, and the owner let it slip that CityView was by far her favorite. Their location, is not in the best side of town, but I scheduled our tastings, and they asked me not only to invite my fiancé, but our parents too. (Mine live locally). Our tastings before the wedding were top tier, the food doesn’t just taste amazing, but the presentation is beautiful too. What I really want to add… we had a wedding package that was supposed to include another vendor’s wedding cake and desserts …. But we weren’t impressed, and asked if we could have the $ applied toward CityView and use them for desserts instead. Our venue and CityView accommodated us with PREMIUM desserts + a special custom dessert serving at no additional cost. She even included an extra appetizer for us. I just cannot say enough about not only the QUALITY of this vendor, but also the presentation…. And just being the most genuinely nice people. Thank you to CityView for really Making our wedding so special. Our family and friends are STILL raving about it a couple months later!

Can’t go wrong with City View Catering! Save yourself some time and start with CV. They are truly outstanding in all categories. Food quality and taste, service, price, attention to detail, presentation, and the passion for excellence at every level. City View catered for us rehearsal dinner, breakfast the day of the wedding, lunch the day of the wedding, and the WEDDING! Every menu was well thought out and suited for occasion, done so perfectly that you would never know that it was all from the same catering company other than it was all so delicious!! Van is a great leader with tremendous input, and Rachel is a true gem. She was our lead for the event and wouldn’t have wanted anyone else along with her team. They are 100% my go to from here on out for any catering needs in the future!! Oh, and their tastings are tremendous and extensive. You can attend as many tasting as needed to get each menu perfect, you can change your mind and try again as many times as it takes. City View is there is serve you and will do anything it takes to ensure the best possible catering experience and event. Love these guys!!!!! Our wedding was at Arrowhead Hill.

CVC was EXCEPTIONAL from start to finish. We do not know how CVC has competition in the Houston market. From the first tasting to even after the wedding. Rachel, Victoria and the entire team were the best. The combination of the quality of the food, the value of the service / packages and the customer service is unmatched. We started with an initial tasting with Victoria who blew us away with the options, quality and knowledge of product. After that, Rachel (Victoria's sister and owners daughter) was our primary point of contact and she continued the exceptional communication and customer service. She answered every single little question we had the whole time and responded extremely fast. The final menu tasting with Rachel was great as well and she helped us tweak a few things and had awesome suggestions to help compliment our menu items. We were unaware at the time but their wedding package includes a private meal just for the couple. You can request ANYTHING for your couples meal. We were under the impression we would get a serving of the selected guest menu. My wife and I both ordered steaks with lobster tails for our "couples meal" and they were cooked and prepared to perfection. They had great presentation in the reception area and all of our guests raved about the food. Especially the mini tacos at cocktail hour. I could easily write a book about the experience with City View and how great working with them was but that would take too long. If you are looking at a caterer and they fit your budget, JUST HIRE THEM. They are the best. We have absolutely nothing but the best things to say about CVC. You will regret going with anyone else for your wedding or event.

City View was one of our favorite vendors!! From the moment we met Van & then our additional tastings/emails exchanged with Rachel, this whole team is WONDERFUL! And of course, the food is delicious!! Thank y’all for being part of our day!

Can I give 1000 stars?? That is what CityView deserves. They elevated our daughters wedding. I can’t tell you how many phone calls/ text messages we received after the wedding saying the food was the best they ever had at a wedding. Victoria was so much fun to work with. She is smart, organized and thoughtful. Anna was also such a stand out to me. She is so very kind in our initial set up of tastings - it meant so much when I had been dealing with a variety of unkind people within the wedding planning process. They know how to cook, they know how to present and they know how to hire servers. My water goblet was never half full. The staff was next to none. And guess what ? They didn’t have all the “hidden fees/ service charges “ that jack up your total at the end that many of the other caterers have. Straightforward. Love them. They are the rockstars of catering in the Houston area.

Guests absolutely LOVED the food provided by City View Catering. The food was amazing, they were very accommodating to my guests allergies and mine (celiac). Rachel was so sweet and made the food tasting an easy experience!

CVC was great to work with! We loved how easy it was to meet up with them for our tastings, and they always gave us a TON of food to try, so we really felt like we had the best opportunity to choose exactly what we wanted. AND they went above and beyond for all of our requests when we had some specific asks for meals. Most importantly, our guests RAVED about the food! We went with a southern comfort style buffet meal, and it was a hit :) Thank you to Victoria and Van for all of your help during our wedding planning!

Where do I even start with this review?! THIS IS THE BEST CATERER IN THE BUSINESS. They catered my rehearsal (street tacos and sliders) and my wedding. We are so glad we found them and really are blessed to have had such a great dinner for the wedding. Their recipes are original and unlike most other places which makes it fun and interesting for your guests. This was the best decision we made for the entire wedding! HIGHLY recommend them!

City View was one of the best vendor decisions for our wedding. We chose a Mexican food buffet and received many raving remarks from guests about the quality of the food. They were very helpful in helping us rent linens, which included being flexible with our pick up time and not upcharging the cost of the rental. We had two food tastings, both of which came with some leftovers. There was some misunderstanding about the food we wanted to try, but the City View team helped remedy the situation without hesitation. Rachel worked with us in the final weeks before the wedding and was the banquet captain at our event. She was especially kind, lovely, and knowledgeable and made a special trip to the sweetheart table to ensure my groom and I were doing well. In full transparency, I think there were a couple of small mix ups/forgotten things on the day of but nothing that caused any real issues. All in all, City View is an amazing choice for your wedding/event, and what you pay for the quality you receive is the icing on the cake!

From the initial contact, they courted us like royalty and helped us to believe that our special day was just as important to them and would be handled with utmost care and attention. Their tasting events were full-stop incredible and we enjoyed working with every member of their team. They took care of so many little details—some we didn’t even see until the photos after. City View Catering was excellent, and I'd unreservedly recommend them to anyone seeking a top-tier caterer for their event. Van is incredibly experienced with decades of experience in the hospitality industry, and knows his stuff. The tastings were a pleasure, we were treated with warmth and gracious attention. Rachel, our event manager, was super thorough, responsive, warm, personable, and caring. I was blown away with their level of flexibility. They truly do cater to the needs of all your guests, vegan meals, vegetarian meals, high-sensitivity allergies -- no problem. Their packages really simplified everything and were great value--other catering companies we checked out charged extra for silverware or cake cutting, or they'd cut the cake but you needed to provide the spatula (! another absurd detail to figure out when you're planning a whole wedding!). In contrast and with the greatest sanity and common sense, City View Catering accounts for and includes all these things as part of their wedding package, and even throws in a cocktail hour snack table. I was delighted to learn that guests could have BOTH entrees, they didn't need to pick one. And finally, they cook anything the newlyweds want, on or off the menu, for their wedding meal and send you home with a little "newlywed package" aka to-go boxes with generous portions. Serving was seamless and guests loved the food. Truly a rave review from me, and well-deserved. We worked with some excellent vendors for our wedding, but City View may have been the best.

City View Catering was recommended to us by our decorator for our wedding saying they always do a great set up with fabulous food and man was she right. Rachel was fabulous helping us get through several tastings and getting our schedule set up. The event day team was on time, efficient, and very detail oriented. The set up is visually impressive, but even better is the food is seriously amazing. I think it was even better than when we tasted it ahead of time! It was great to have catering be a big event item I had full confidence in executing without any of my input day of.

The first time we met Van and Rachel we knew we loved them already. From the very first tasting to our wedding everything went so smoothly. Rachel worked with us to create a menu that we loved so much that after our wedding our guests raved about the food. We still dream about the chicken wellington. Choosing City View was the best decision we made for our wedding!

We hired City View off of a preferred vendor list for our venue and coordinator, and we are SO GLAD we did! Van and his team are amazing. Seriously some of the best in the business. The food is delicious-- all of it. Equally as important though is that Van listened to what we wanted and made sure we were getting the most bang for our buck. I appreciate that we were able to add a bar glassware rental at a great rate. Our wedding was in the middle of the Omicron wave and we ended up having a lot of late cancellations. Van worked with us within the two weeks leading up to the wedding to make sure we were still getting our money's worth. We did a buffet-style dinner with the chicken wellington tower and honey parmesan pork loin. So good. We also added chocolate dipped chocolate chip cookies for the dessert table, which was a huge hit! Since our wedding, our friends have also booked City View for their event and also got tons of compliments on the food. They are the best! *chef's kiss*

City View was hands down the best catering service I have ever hired ! Not only was the food delicious, but the service was superb!!! They went above and beyond when it came to serving the guests and making sure everything was right on time! Wow! It’s been over a week and we are still hearing feedback from our guests on how amazing the food was. From working with Van in the beginning to Rachel’s prompt updates during the entire planning process and her flawless execution on the day of, we can not be happier with City View and their team. We went pretty different with our meal, brunch type foods, and our menu that was guided by CVC was so creative and beautifully staged. The stations and pre-set salads, all suggested by them made everything move so quick and our guests so happy. They are not the typical “mediocre meat and a side that you wait 40 minutes to be served at a wedding” caterer. They are true chefs that are passionate and family oriented. Rachel and the whole CVC team blew us and our guests away- PLEASE do not think twice about going with them. As a couple that was very out of our comfort zone planning such a big wedding, City View handled so much and was so reassuring and accommodating. I can’t recommend them enough.

Van and his family took great care of us for our wedding. We had a few strange requests, and they took them in stride. They operate with the utmost professionalism, and you can tell that they truly care about their clients. You cannot go wrong with hiring City View. When our other vendors found out we'd booked City View, they all had glowing reviews of City View and were excited for their vendor meals. So not only are they well known in the wedding industry in Houston, but they are well loved. I cannot recommend them enough. If you book them, you will not be disappointed!

Of all our wedding vendors that were with us throughout a 3 year (COVID postponed!) wedding process, City View Catering was one that made the process easy and enjoyable without adding any stress! They were flexible and supportive with switching the date. From the very first tasting, they were invested and extremely friendly. At both the first and second tastings, they fed us SO much food and sent us home with enough leftovers to last a week! All of the food was absolutely incredible; it was so hard to narrow down our final menu and to choose between all of the delicious options. As I have to be gluten free, they were attentive, accommodating and understanding with that. My parents were focused on the food throughout this wedding process, and they wanted to serve a menu that made all of the guests' travel efforts worth it, and City View Catering more than delivered, in more ways than one! Everyone (weeks later) is still raving about the food from our wedding, saying that it was so unlike the typical wedding food. What really stood out to us was the Mac and Cheese trio that we offered as appetizers, the standing salads, and the Brisket that gave our wedding the Texas farmhouse feel we were going for, while still being classy. We have nothing but praise for City View Catering, and we wish they had a restaurant so we could eat their food more often!

City View was always punctual, prepared, and responsive. They were familiar with the unusual layout of our venue and knew how to make it work. The owner, Van, knows events very well, asked good questions and provided very helpful advice (which we took) about how to make the whole evening flow best. All staff members were very professional. The quality of food remained consistent from the tastings to the reception itself. The portions served were generous and - best of all - we received many genuine and enthusiastic compliments on the food! I found their prices to be reasonable, especially considering all that was included. Would look to them again for any future catered events!

For starters, we have had numerous people tell us that the dinner at our wedding was some of the best food they've ever had, and definitely among the best meals they've been served at a wedding. Planning with CVC as a vendor is so seamless. They are so flexible and have so many options, which makes it so easy as a couple when you're trying to make decisions and tweak your menu to fit exactly what you want for your guests. And CVC also lets the bride and groom pick their own meal for the night, regardless of what is available for the guests. In addition to dinner and cocktail hour apps, we also had CVC provide our desserts. I was so impressed with the unique dessert options, which is what I knew I wanted. We were able to offer our guests assorted mini desserts, bananas foster at a flambe station, and churros at a frying station as our late night snack for guests. This team is incredible to work with. Great service and the best-of-the-best when it comes to quality.
