They are so flexible and have so many options, which makes it so easy as a couple when you're trying to make decisions and tweak your menu to fit exactly what you want for your guests. And CVC also lets the bride and groom pick their own meal for the night, regardless of what is available for the guests. In addition to dinner and cocktail hour apps, we also had CVC provide our desserts. I was so impressed with the unique dessert options, which is what I knew I wanted. We were able to offer our guests assorted mini desserts, bananas foster at a flambe station, and churros at a frying station as our late night snack for guests. This team is incredible to work with. Great service and the best-of-the-best when it comes to quality.

We had 6 guests at the private first tasting and we all left with full stomachs and leftovers to try at home. The presentation is beautiful and the food is fabulous! They will even help with dietary restrictions for guests and special menu options for the bride and groom. We selected the City View Salad, Winter Salad, Chicken Wellington, Spice Rubbed Pork Tenderloin, Julienne Vegetables, Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Bacon, and Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes. For the cocktail hour we selected the Bruschetta and Tapanade and International Cheese Display. Hands down the best wedding food ever! Look no further! And when they told the waitstaff to cook it a little longer, they were told it would take 45 mins. One of our sides was the risotto and again, it was poorly cooked. It was underdone and crunchy. Inedible. It’s so embarrassing to serve mediocre food at your wedding. They were suppose to cut the chicken into 4 pieces but instead they left them whole. I also had 6 guests and 2 kids not attend the wedding , but there were no leftovers. How is that possible? I know they didn’t go around with extra food. They also took forever to cut the cake and serve it. We were suppose to have Glassware for our champagne toast but were never given any. And they did not provide a cake serving knife like they said they would. Also, ice tea was not served to anyone unless they asked for it. How are my guests suppose to know there’s ice tea if there’s nobody walking around asking people what they would prefer to drink? All in all, the tastings at their office was nice and food was delicious. But at my wedding, the service and food did not meet our expectations.

dor. I was skeptical at first about having to choose from a preferred vendors list but the second option was paying my venue an extra $1000.00 bucks to have an outside caterer. I am so happy that I set up a tasting with city view catering because their professionalism and food was amazing. After trying to decided between two different preferred caterers my husband and I chose city view because they went above and beyond the call of duty. This was so important to me because I was an out of state bride and lived all the way in Michigan. City View Catering 1.) accommodated tastings for me based on my limited availability since I didn't even live in the same time zone 2.) communicated with me through phone, email, and text if needed be. 3.) Made special menu accommodations for a couple of my picky eaters 4.) Made me feel like money well spent! I truly have to thank Demetra for selling the City View Catering service. At the first tasting Demetra blew us out of the water with their amazing menu. Sharon, I owe everything to with making sure my day went absolutely perfect! She did so many things to accommodate my menu! Sharon made sure that ANY ISSUE that could have arised on my wedding day was taken care which took so much stress off of me. City View Catering even went out of their way to assist me with the delivery of desserts I picked out from a separate location and supplied cut garnishes for me that my venue did not supply. I would literally want to get married all over again just so I could work with city view catering . The CVC was the best vendor I could have chosen. They have worked with my wedding venue for a while now so they are seasoned veterans that give great product. I did a buffet option that my guests absolutely loved and they presented the food so eloquently. I am so happy that I chose city view catering and can't thank them enough for making my day amazing!

The nice thing too was that they served our cake to our guests, which was a really nice touch so we didn't do a seated/plated option for dinner. Also, we had four guests tell us they were coming to the wedding TWO DAYS before the event and City View was EXTREMELY accommodating and adjusted accordingly with flatware and food amounts. They really earned all the five stars given.

very disappointed in the way they handled the situation, first insisting they did not serve the wrong dish (even though I showed proof via pictures and my contract). The lady who presided over my tastings and oversaw my contract and booking would not speak up and confirm the mistake, instead she passed the situation along to someone who I presume is upper management/a relative and was never in contact with me during my booking process or tastings so he didn’t know anything. THEN they stated they would be happy to make the dish for me for pickup. Well, my wedding is over. What would I do with a dish for 225 people? I would have loved to have gotten what I paid for AT my wedding. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and I hope no one else has to go through this!

From appetizers to dessert you really cannot go wrong. They also decorate the buffet line and carving station for you and display the dishes in unique and beautiful ways. This helped our reception area look beautiful and really made an impact on the space. Do yourself a huge favor and book them immediately. You’ll regret it if you don’t. First, the tastings were free compared to the $100 we paid for the first tasting at another popular vendor. On top of that, they even packed up all of the leftovers for us to take home with us. It was tough choosing our menu selections because there were so many good food options. Cityview was very communicative via both phone and email which made it easy to be on the same page throughout the process. At the wedding, our guests were thrilled with the food and have positively commented on it since then. The staff did a great job at the event and were on top of any guest needs quickly. Going into the wedding we felt the caterer was one of the most important selections as guests seem to always remember the food. We couldn’t be happier that we chose Cityview and will recommend them to anyone looking to make a lasting impression on their wedding guests!

had tons of leftovers! At the wedding, our guests could not stop raving about how good the food was - as wedding food is usually subpar. A couple of my guests said that their food was cleared before they were finished eating because the staff seemed like they were in a hurry to clean things up, but I would like to think that this is only because the staff were attentive and providing excellent service. As some other reviews state, communication is an issue. After a while, Van simply told me to text or call him because this was the most efficient way of communicating with him. I was confused about who I needed to be in contact with throughout the process, because I received emails from different people. I am really a very laid-back person and like to be super organized by having everything confirmed and completed. It was frustrating to me to have to feel like I was being annoying trying to get in contact with them all of the time. With all of this said, Van and his team provide great service on your actual event/day, and their food is the best. We got to actually eat at our table while our guests were eating - and Van gave us to go boxes to have later! Van also worked with our budget to create a menu that would fit our needs. It was hard to choose from all of the amazing options, but you cannot go wrong with anything offered on their menu!

r tasting and never looked or shopped around for a caterer somewhere else. The food was delicious and Demetra, the catering manager was great. However, along the way, there were some things that fell through. Things have been changed on us , leading up to the wedding, and on our actual wedding. 1. We specifically asked Demetra if the price of $36/per person is inclusive of tax and service charges - she said YES to both. Come the contract, we saw an additional $500+ for tax. Granted, it's not going to their business but to the government, but we had asked for that specifically, and she said yes. We let it pass and signed the contract. 2. We asked if they normally prepare an extra 10% of the food we paid for to make sure that everyone is covered (since we have a buffet style) and again, Demetra said yes. About a week or so into the wedding - I had to confirm, and was told by Sharon, one of the owners, that they NEVER do that. She said that they only have a 10% profit margin and that if they prepare extra 10% food, then they're giving me a free wedding. It is an absolute lie that caterers only make 10% profit margin on food. The food and catering industry is the biggest industry that has plenty of profit margin from so providing extra 10% shouldn't hurt. 3. Demetra originally quoted, $14/per kid for kid's meals, and when we got the contract for the final balance, Sharon, quoted $21/per kid, adding $3.50 for salad and $8/kid for dishwater and they had to be "waited" when we have buffet style. 4. We were told that the buffet table will be attended and guests will be served the food at the buffet table but this NEVER happened. We had a meeting a couple of days before the wedding and Van, the other owner, agreed to honor the $14/kid's meal and have agreed to prepare "extra" food in case there are any extra people that showed up that didn't RSVP and that we will have to pay extra for those people - so we agreed. He also guaranteed that the guests will leave full and satisfied. WELL... On the actual wedding: 1. The guests were never served at the buffet table so they were getting their own food. Even though it's buffet style, people can still be served by the servers. We also asked this specifically on our very first meeting. Never happened. 2. Our venue has two stories. Most tables were downstairs and about 8 or so table upstairs. Our guests from downstairs said that they never even got the pecan crusted chicken. We paid for 2 meat, 2 veggies, 2 starches, and salad and water and tea for $36/per person. If we had a total of 120 people from downstairs and they already run out of the chicken by then, it means that they had cut us VERY short. We paid for 185 people, 10 of those were kids, and 7 extra for vendors. The food they prepared were not even enough for 120 people we had downstairs. 3. Some of our guests said that they got plates that were dirty. They had some dried potatoes in them that were probably from previous event. 4. We were charged an additional $741 at the end of the event because they said that we had 19 more people that showed up. No matter how we calculate this, it just doesn't add up that we had 19 more people. I have more to say but no more space.

Anyway, I digress...City View will not charge you for a tasting. In fact, we did a complimentary tasting to help us decide, and another complimentary tasting closer to the wedding, to make sure we still liked our choices. The food is absolutely delicious! Van, the owner, is very creative in terms of presentation, and came up with ideas, I had never heard of, such as wrapping a thin slice of cucumber around the salad and plating it beautifully. He also comes up with delicious flavor combinations that are divine, such as mac and cheese with caramelized onions and bacon! We had 2 salads, the mac & cheese listed above, garlic mascarpone mashed potatoes, julienned vegetables, charred green beans (which were way better than any green beans you have had before), plantain crusted chicken, and a carving station with brisket in a bourbon/peach glaze. All of our guests raved about the food, and several asked for the caterer afterwards! The only reason I did 4 stars instead of 5 is because it did take longer to hear from him than other vendors. Additionally, there was an issue with our cake topper at the end of the night. It was wrapped in a towel by the caterers and supposedly placed in a tray, but it did not end up with our things, any family members or friends. Our best guess is that it was accidentally thrown away because someone just saw the towel and didn't see what was inside. It was a disappointing end to the evening because it was a customized cake topper that looked like us and we were going to use it each year on our anniversary. Oh well, mistakes happen! Still check them out, but just make sure you go over the cleanup policy with them beforehand, and be patient when trying to get answers, you will eventually hear from him.

She was professional and always available for suggestions and ideas. Since we were busy enjoying our nuptials it was really thoughtful of her to pack us a doggie bag to eat at the end of the night. Although the execution of the food and drinks were great, I am giving City View 4 out of 5 stars because the execution of other aspects of the evening did not go as planned. First, the servers did not do an adequate job of clearing glasses and other trash once the party really got started. Also, we arranged for 4 servers so 2 would work on the flip from ceremony to reception but I noticed, as we were being whisked off to take pictures, the guest were picking up and moving chairs. Several of my guest asked me why they were having to pick up, move items, and clean which was embarrassing. I am not sure where the breakdown of communication happened between the event planner and City View but I do know that my guests should not have been clearing dishes and moving chairs. Overall I would recommend City View due to the quality of food and Demetra's professionalism and thoughtfulness.
