CJ Sound

We cannot say enough great things about DJ Tim from CJ Sound. He was absolutely fabulous to work with. We live in Maryland and only traveled to Buffalo a few times prior to the wedding and when we were in town our schedules were jam packed. DJ Tim went out of his way to meet up with us early one morning at a Tim Hortons a month before the wedding just so we could meet in person before the big day. We went over our music likes/dislikes, and our theme for our wedding. DJ Tim was so personable and had great input for our wedding party entrances. He went above and beyond to edit our first dance song for us and even called us a few days before our wedding to double check final details. DJ Tim was amazing the day of! He organized the most epic chicken dance of all time- which guests are still talking about! CJ Sound and DJ Tim are HIGHLY recommended!

My family has always used CJ Sound for parties throughout my life, so booking them was a given when it came to our wedding. When we met with DJ Dennis ("Batman") to discuss the "style" we wanted (we told him to think "Guardians of the Galaxy Soundtrack"), he immediately recommended DJ Tim. They told me we would meet for details the week of the wedding, but me being super detailed wanted to meet earlier, which Tim was happy to do for us. He was happy to accommodate all of the specific timing aspects I had when it came to the processional song and the introductions song into the reception. He kept people dancing all night long, took requests, and he even made us CDs that included all of the songs he played throughout the night, so now we have our entire wedding soundtrack! He was incredible and I would recommend him over and over. I think one of the things that sealed the deal for us was that once the reception was over, one of the hotel caterers stopped me and my husband and asked "By any chance, are you guys fans of Guardians of the Galaxy?". That just proves how well DJ Tim hit our style on the head!

CJ Sound was the only dark mark on our otherwise perfect wedding day. More specifically the photobooth services and sales management were absolutely terrible! Our DJ George was fantastic before, during, and after our wedding day! The photobooth attendant, Brittany, did not arrive to set up at the pre-determined time and instead arrived 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony. I was in the space where the booth should have been set up at 10AM, at 3 50 waiting to do a first look picture with my dad, when she strolled in. Upon questioning her about being late, and telling her where to set up, she was very argumentative with me. Not wanting to engage in this kind of negativity 30 minutes before I walked down the aisle, I asked her if I could get a refund if she left. The following week I contacted CJ Sound about the situation. It wasn't until 3 WEEKS later that they agreed to give me a partial refund. During that 3 weeks I played a lot of phone tag with the sales manager, Dennis. He would tell me he was going to call on a specific day and time and would not do so. He would ask me to call at specific times and dates and often when I did I would get the answering machine. I left so many messages that went unreturned! When we did talk on the phone Dennis would talk down to me, try to talk over me, and insinuate that I was a "volitile bride." Those were his words! Every conversation I was left on the verge of tears. Terrible customer service! I am thankful he was willing to give me the partial refund but the stress I went through to get it was almost not worth the money. I feel bad for giving this low rating because George, the DJ, really did a fantastic job! This rating in no way reflects the service we received from him as an individual!

CJ Sound did an outstanding job DJ-ing our wedding ceremony and party. DJ Dennis was incredible. He is very outgoing, accessible, and ensures that the day is exactly as you want it to be. I would give DJ Dennis 5 stars and would highly recommend him. However, the manager at CJ sound changed our DJ last minute and did not tell us, after we had been booked with him for 11 months. When I called upset about this, he was not at all apologetic or accommodating, and I felt as though he was giving me the run around. This was a VERY unpleasant experience 2 weeks before the wedding. If not for DJ Dennis, I would have been much more unhappy with CJ Sound.

Pat was a fantastic time as our Wedding DJ. He played to the crowd and found rare music that our family wanted to hear. He played the Irish music for our Irish family. He played older music for the guests who wanted to hear it. He played popular music for the younger crowd. He hyped up the crowd without being obtrusive. One improvement that could have been made would be play more music from our "must play" list. Overall, I would highly recommend Pat and CJ sound to brides and grooms who are looking for someone who can cater to their specific needs and crowd. Their prices were reasonable and we had a wonderful time!

We are so grateful to have had CJ Sound as our entertainment vendor for our wedding. The planning process was extremely easy, and the online portal tool helped us easily structure the entire day. John Ceglia was an amazing DJ – he took our very broad suggestions for genres we like and created the perfect atmosphere that kept everyone (age 8 to 86!) dancing even after we extended the reception time! Also, the sound was exceptionally managed for speeches and dancing. This was a huge success, as the venue is known to have challenging acoustics. In addition to the sound, CJ Sound provided the most beautiful lighting that truly transformed our venue. The uplights perfectly surrounded the room with warm, gold light during the speeches and dinner. Then for dancing, the room was completely transformed into a party scene with changing color schemes and the most beautiful starry night on the ceiling. All guests could not stop commenting on the music and light show, and we cannot stop recommending CJ Sound to all of our family and friends.

DJ Dennis did an amazing job at our wedding!! He played most of the songs on our lists and kept the party going until the end!

Brian our DJ was amazing! He did a great job of blending songs when they ended and finished and our dance floor was never empty! We also had a photo booth that was a huge hit! I’d highly recommend them!

Used them for a photo booth for our outside wedding and by the time it got dark out, none of the pictures were working. They were either washed out or too dark to see. For about half an hour, the booth wasn’t even working. Very disappointing.

CJ sound did such an amazing job at our wedding, we could not have been any happier! Our DJ, Mike, kept everyone on the dance floor all night and played music that all ages could dance to! Not one negative comment was made about our music and we had over 250 guests! I would highly recommend, but only if you're looking to have the most amazing night ever!

It took awhile to get in contact with the owner to start planning but once we got our contact information for our DJ it was smooth sailing. Jimmy was absolutely great.

We booked CJ sound for our wedding on June 10 2017. We were very happy with our choice! We had DJ Pat and he kept everyone, all 220 of our guests, on the dance floor the entire time!! We actually had to move our tables around to make an even bigger dance floor because everyone wanted to be out there dancing. He made sure to play all of our must-have songs, even playing "La Bamba" about 3-4 times because it was the only song my husband had requested be on the list and he kept missing it! All of the songs for our first dances, cake cutting, etc. were all played correctly and he even remembered the song I requested for just the two of us at the very end of the night. We also rented a photo booth thru them and it was a huge hit! They did a great job on that as well and we got copies of every photo taken that night which was funny to look thru after the reception! Over all we were extremely pleased and selecting a DJ/Band was the hardest decision we had to make!

Amazing DJ, professional and excellent prices

We chose CJ Sound for our wedding on 7/15/17 and we were blown away! Our dance floor was packed the entire night, right up until the event ended, they really exceeded our expectations. DJ Mike did an excellent job of moving us through the timeline of the reception, you could tell he comes with years of experience with weddings. He called us the week of our wedding to check in and go over our timeline and song choices and was extremely helpful in helping us make a few last minute decisions on songs. The uplighting they provided was beautiful and really added to the ambiance of the room. Their planning forms were easy to use and they made sure all of our favorite songs were played. 10/10 would recommend them to any of our friends or family! We can't thank you enough for making our wedding day so memorable and fun!

Picking our DJ was easy. Both my husband & I knew Pat prior to hiring him for our wedding. Picking songs on the other hand was not an easy task. I had to ask for an extension on my song list deadline, which Pat was extremely accommodating and extended it for me. He played a great range of genres at our reception, which my guests loved. Our only complaint would be that some of our guests tired requesting songs but were told he didn't have them or he couldn't download them so I wish there could of been a better way too accommodate my guest's requests.

CJ Sound was amazing. We had DJ Jimmy for our wedding, and he was super responsive and willing to work with us. We had some one-off song requests and he placed them perfectly. The dance floor did not stop the entire night, and he completely understood the direction of music we were looking for. We also had a photobooth that was an absolute hit. I would highly recommend CJ Sound!

Our wedding would not have been the same if it were not for CJ Sound and DJ Mike. The up-lighting was breathtaking and completely set the mood for dinner and dancing as it transitioned throughout the evening. The photos turned out amazing with the lights in the background too! We didn't request a lot of songs and left it up to the DJ to do what they do best and they nailed it! DJ Mike took such good care of us, he coordinated our evening, making sure that things were running on time and then kept up the pace of the reception very well. He played a great assortment of songs that would get people on the dance floor, give them a break and also kept everyone of all ages happy. We also had a photo booth and it turned out great! Our guests had so much fun no matter their age or if they even knew each other! It was very easy to use and the pictures turned out great. Plus. they provide props, attendants to help run things, a book for guests to leave you a copy and write a note and then a copy of all photos taken! The kids especially had a great time which was wonderful considering that we didn't have anything set aside for them to do... We truly can't say enough positive things to convey how happy we were and are with their services!

Our wedding was this past weekend, the day after Christmas. We thought that the party might end early because of the holiday. CJ Sound made sure that DID NOT happen! Once the music started, the floor was never empty. They knew the right mix to play throughout the night to keep everyone happy. Their uplighting and photobooth made the event even better! I cant tell you how many people told me that they felt like they were in a club instead of at a wedding. I think I heard This is the last song at least 5 times. Our guests did not want the night to end! Thank you CJ sound!

I contacted CJ Sound on 8/25 for a quote on the wedding packages and for the photo booth. I received an email back pretty much right away from Mike with all the information I requested. He also told me the price for a current promo that was going on. He asked if I would like to see an agreement since the current promo doesn't last forever. I replied back and said yes please send me an agreement and also let me know what the deposit is to secure the date if we wanted to book. After that email, I didn't hear anything back. I sent him another email the next morning asking for him to send me the agreement and also the price on the deposit. Again, no response. I sent 1 final email on 8/31 asking again, and I even said "If you have sent one, my apologizes because I didn't get the email." (I get a lot of junk email so it may had gone in there) and I still have not heard anything back from him. They apparently aren't very interested in my business. I left them a review on their Facebook page, and they have not addressed the situation at all. Very unprofessional and disappointed since I seen such wonderful things about them from a Facebook group page I'm in.

A local radio website had an online auction at the end of last year and I won a wedding package for a DJ for 6 hours, a photo booth, and uplighting for $100 less than I was quoted for a DJ for 5 hours and a photo booth so I was pumped. CJ Sound does both music and the photo booth and both were great. I worked with Chris about a week before the wedding and came up with about 10 songs I either wanted played throughout the night, or songs or song types we didn't want played. I've been to weddings where the DJ blows off people who make requests or doesn't have the music at all, but Chris was great. He really read the crowd and worked in all of the songs we wanted to hear. My family loves to dance, so he did a great job keeping everyone out there. He actually came up to us afterward and told us how much fun he had. He had also just bought new speakers and this was a great opportunity to test them out! I highly recommend a photo booth to anyone who is considering it. We had an awesome photographer, but the venue allowed people to spread out quite a bit, and if they weren't on the dance floor they didn't have many pictures taken of them. Almost everyone at the wedding into the booth at least once, and it was hilarious to see what people came up with. The poor attendant got dragged into the booth by my cousins, and a couple of the employees jumped in also. It was so funny to go through the pictures at the end and see that! For anyone I didn't get to talk to, or didn't see many photos of, this kind of let me know they had a good time.

The songs were good. He played a lot of the songs that I wanted. He didn't play the song during our cake cutting, it was like he didn't know it was happening. He didn't so a good job of getting people's attention for our first dance and other dances. Nobody really paid attention. Also he didn't do a great job of getting people to dance. And towards the end of the night he almost ended an hour early, we had to look at the contract to make sure, and I was right. It was decent.

CJ sound came highly recommended to us by out catering vendor and those who live in the Buffalo area. We are from the PA area therefore had to do the majority of our communication over the phone. They are very throughout, professional, and well organized. Everything was clear cut from start to finish. Their online wedding planner helps you organize the songs you want, order of events, and plans you have for the day coordinated with your DJ. I love that they link you with a DJ who meets your specific wedding vibes/needs. The week of the wedding DJ Jimmy actually came to us at the hotel Wednesday before the wedding to meet with us face-to-face and make sure he had all the details correct. He was super easy going, professional and organized! He was the PERFECT DJ for our event- he even played the outdoor music for our ceremony and timed it with the reverend. Our dancing was a hit- he successfully got all of our guests out on the dance floor and kept the party hopping! He made our night. Our package included free dance floor lighting which really added to the "dance party" vibes. CJ sound we will always recommend you! Thank you for making our wedding a success

Brian from CJ Sound provided us with an awesome wedding night. We had provided a song list as a general guide to what we liked and he kept the dance floor full all night long. There wasn't anything we were upset that he played and he asked us if it was okay to play certain requests. We had a few sound complaints from those with hearing aids but I think that is the nature of having big speakers in a tent, so not necessarily Brian's fault but something to keep in mind in the future (or when making seating charts!) He kept commentary to a minimum which is what we preferred so we were very pleased in that department.

Over all I was really impressed with CJ sound, minus one hiccup. I booked CJ Sound at a wedding show and got a great deal. I used there up-lights, LED photo booth, and DJ. The up-lights really set a fun atmosphere for the night. The photo booth is inflatable, which doesn't sound great, but you have to see it, it is really cool. Everyone loved the photo booth and kept going back for more. The owner, Vinny, was very nice. I spoke with him a few times on the phone, and he had great ideas for me. The DJ, Dennis, was ok. My reception was 6-12. He came in to set up around 5:30, then left. We were supposed to do introductions at 6:30, and dinner at 7. He didn't come back until 7pm. I was really angry. The rest of the night was fine, he played the music I asked for but if I payed for a DJ to be there 6-12, I want him to actually be there 6-12.

I had dj Brian. He was a good dj. He knew what to play and handled everything really well!

Our dance floor remained full from the moment we started dancing! We had to extend our DJ service for an additional half hour.

DJ Pat O'Brien was incredible! He played great music for the crowd, and was so friendly and helpful. I can't say enough good things about him. He even made sure to call me my new last name every time we spoke the night of the wedding, which was a really nice touch that I appreciated!!

Our DJ Dennis from CJ Sound was truly amazing.

They were late to my wedding and gave me a heart attack. They weren't going to show up even though we had a contract. Overall their music ended up being really good and they made up for it by comping the service.

Played most of the songs we wanted to hear and kept people dancing

This was supposed to be one of the better companies in the area. The DJ was late & argued with my wedding planner the whole time. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!

They played all the music I asked for and more! The DJ was very nice and played a good variety of music to keep the dance floor going. The music selection form was easy to fill out and the DJ went over it with me in great detail. He even found a lesser know version of a song I wanted. The only complaint i have was that he did play a few too many cliche wedding songs (which I asked not to be played) and I would have liked 1 or 2 more slow songs.

Great selection of music and everybody had a great time dancing. They did miss a few songs that were on the must play list. He did a good job but didn't rally seem to be all that excited or talk a lot to get the party hyped up.

I have no complaints for the actual wedding - DJ Jim was awesome and gave us the fun party atmosphere we wanted. He met with us a week before the wedding to really hone in on details and get to know us personally. That being said, the time 6 months prior to the wedding was less than ideal. All of my phone messages and emails seemed to go ignored and the one time I did get through, I was told I would get a call 1 month out to finalize details. I thought we were good until the one month mark passed and still no word. They finally got in touch with me 2 weeks out only to tell me to go online, print out a form and fax it over. I did that but on the top of the form it stressed the importance of them needed these forms at the 2 week marker so I was really pissed I wasn't called one month out like I was promised because then I was rushing to complete the forms. It was no fault of the DJ but I was not happy with the management practice. We did get a photo booth with our package which was a hit so I guess they earn back some points for that. It was about 1200 for 5 hours of music and the photo booth.

Pat O' Brien was WONDERFUL on our wedding day. I knew hiring CJ Sound I would get great service but Pat really went above and beyond anything I had ever expected. He played the songs we asked for and all the songs he chose were perfect! Our ceremony music went even better than I expected it to go! I didn't have any requests for dinner music so I told Pat to play anything and so many people have told us how much they LOVED that it wasn't classical and boring dinner music it was different & really good! By the time dancing rolled around I felt he really connected with the crowd and every song he chose and the ones we requested were played at the perfect times! For example my two brother in laws came out in tuxedo shirts and he played "Too Sexy for my Shirt" right away. I'm not sure if he knew they were coming out in those but either way he was the perfect DJ to entertain the crowd and keep them on the dance floor. Throughout the whole night he learned guests names, he interacted with the crowd and kept the party going. Our wedding day was so special to my husband & I. Pat put so much effort into showing us that he knew it was important to us and it was important for him too! Not only have our family & friends told us it was the best wedding they've ever been to we are not hearing it from other people who didn't attend that they heard from someone else how fun it was, the DJ really entertained the crowd and kept everyone dancing & laughing! Our goal during the whole planning process was to not only put on an amazing wedding for ourselves but put on a party for our guests and without Pat we could not have done that! It was truly the best night of our lives and we are so thankful for all the fun memories we will have from our wedding night I'm sure we will still be talking about it 50 years from now!! We will forever refer him and if we ever need a DJ again we will no doubt be requesting Pat!

We chose to have a DJ at our wedding. We made the right choice! Mike was awesome! He played all the music I had selected. When a guest made a request, he played it RIGHT after the current song being played. No one wanted to leave the dance floor!

Amazing DJ and professional company! They listened to my requests and were extremely helpful throughout the whole experience. Completely 100% worth it!!!

Our DJ was Patrick. We booked him for five hours and also had dance-floor lighting. Everything turned out great. We put together a CD for our processional/recessional and dinner music (since our ceremony and reception were in the same location), and we relied on him to manage everything for the reception (with a few do-not-play songs, though). We initially didn't want any organized dancing, but our guests kept requesting a conga line ("Hot, Hot, Hot!"). Patrick asked me if I wanted to let him play it since it'd been requested so many times. I said it was fine but that I didn't want to be in the room, so he gave me a signal to duck out during the organized dancing, which I appreciated. We wanted our guests to be happy, but at the same time we (bride and groom) didn't want to do any organized dancing beyond our first dance. Overall, I was very happy with CJ Sound and Patrick. They were professional and did a good job.

DJ Dennis is very energetic and has an amazing personality. He had my wedding going to 12 am. And even then a lot of people wanted to continue so they took the party to the hotel bar.

I had picked CJ Sound based on reviews and the knot rating. I had special requests. A mix up for the father daughter dance (3 songs) and we Irish Danced before the buffet was served. My DJ Mike handled both with ease. He took my list played a good chunk of it and took requests. The whole time there were people on the dance floor. I have no complaints about the night. My only complaint is that the week before the miscommunication was just not good. My number was on several forms turned into CJ Sound. The contract itself, my song list, and through emails. I don't see why I was not contacted at least a week before. Not four days before the wedding. Vince sent me a preview of the father daughter dance for me to listen to via email. (My biggest concern) It would have been perfect except for the week before stress.

There was some static feedback at one point that was really loud...but no one seemed to care. Only was for 15seconds, while we cut the cake. Overall...people danced and seemed to have fun.

CJ Sound did my best friends wedding, and my sister's wedding. When it came time for my wedding, I knew who I wanted to use. I did shop around just to price check. They were without a doubt the best value. Esp since I knew the quality of the services. Our Dj was Jimmy. He was FABULOUS!!! Always professional, on top of everything from start to finish. He personalized our wedding to fit our tastes in a unique venue beyond anything that I could have imagined. Blending ethnic greek music, popular hits, and classics that got the party started.

I think Dennis is what made my wedding so much fun! Every single song he played I loved and my dance floor was packed ALL night long! He could really tell what would go over well with the crowd. everyone loved him! plus CJ sound was built into the ceiling at my venue (Salvatore's), so no annoying speakers etc to deal with! He called a few days before to verify song choices and how to pronounce names, so everything turns out perfectly on the big day! I definitely recommend him to everyone!

We used the juke for our outdoor wedding ceremony and it was very easy to use and had most of the songs on it we wanted. There was also the option of hooking a ipod up to it to play any song that wans't on there. Great and economical choice for us

We knew we wanted our wedding to be one big dance party, and it was thanks to DJ Dennis @ CJ Sound! He played our requests and was able to read the crowd!

If you decide to go with CJ Sounds, which I HIGHLY recommend, ask for Pat Booth. He was really good, there was not once, not even for a second a down time on the dance floor. He played a great selection of music. And get the uplighting if you can - it really enhanced the dance floor. My legs hurt for a week....so much fun!! And so professional!!!

CJ sound saved our wedding! We had booked a lesser known, one man DJ when we first got engaged. This DJ got into some trouble with the law and could not be at our wedding. We called CJ sound thinking they would be completely booked, but Vince took great care of us. He gave us a great rate and their best DJ!!! They saved the day for us!!!!

Our DJ was up-beat and was able to keep everyone on the dance floor for the entire evening. He handled all of the requests professionally and tried to accomodate all of them.

Our DJ did a good job with the music we asked for. The only issue we had was he introduced with the wrong name. He used my last name (the bride) instead of my husband's name. He made up for it though and extended our music for free!

My DJ was Dennis. He was a really nice and funny guy. He kept the party going the whole night. I didn't leave the dance floor the whole time. He also kept in contact with me through the whole wedding and made sure that I liked what he was doing. He made my wedding amazing. I also received a great deal!

We loved our DJ! They use a detailed form and are very accessible to meet with to work out the finer details. Great music - I danced allll night long! At the end of the night, they gave us a personalized CD with all of our wedding songs!
