CJ's Off the Square

I will never come close to being able to describe how amazing CJ’s was for our wedding. From the moment we saw it, we fell in love with the charm and beauty of the location, not to mention the ease of the all inclusive package! I had such a specific vision for the wedding, but CJ and her team managed to bring it to life flawlessly! I was in awe of how smooth and stress free our big day was thanks to their amazing staff. It’s been two weeks and we keep saying the same thing over and over: Our wedding was perfect!

CJ’s was everything I had dreamed it would be - I found them on instagram and fell in love. I didn’t even tour any other venues! Everyone on the team was so kind and accomodating, from the planners (Brette and Allison), to CJ herself, and all of the vendos they reccomended. I wasn’t worried a out a thing in their hands, and the day was truly magical!

Sooooo happy we decided to have our wedding at CJs off the square! We loved having our venue, food, decor, and coordination all wrapped up into one bundle, and the team made the entire planning process so easy! We felt supported every step of the way, and our actual wedding day went so smoothly. Shout out to Sydney, best wedding planner ever!

Choosing CJ's as our wedding venue was the best decision we could have ever made! They are absolutely incredible at everything they do- From the beautiful location, the details, their process/organization, staff, food, and the vendors included/recommended... Cj’s off the square was a wonderful choice for a venue. I was the matron of honor in an October 2023 wedding, and was with the bride for the entire planning process. We did everything over zoom, as neither of us lived in the area. As someone that has been intimately involved in planning 3 wedding at this point, I can say that CJs made it as easy as possible to do this remote planning. Sidney came prepared to meetings to discuss open items. She presented options for table scapes, vendors, and rental items. She also helped to form the overall vibe of the wedding and suggested different items that helped fit that vision. She wasn’t pushy, and from my point of view did not try to over sell anything. The day of coordination was also great, which I can attest to because as the MOH I wasn’t running around like a chicken with my head cut off doing last minute prep. Overall it was a great experience, and if anyone is on the fence about working with the team, I hope this positive review speaks for itself.

The team at CJ’s was absolutely perfect! I never thought I would describe planning my wedding day as “easy,” but Sidney and everyone else at CJ’s made it look effortless. We got a lot of compliments on the venue, the location, the food, and the staff, and from my perspective, they were all well-deserved. For brides looking for a lovely, intimate garden venue, CJ’s is worth the cost!

CJ’s Off the Square was wonderful through the planning process and on our wedding day. Our planner, Sydney, really stepped up to ensure we had a great day. Having just move to the Nashville area during our engagement, Sidney provided us with the vendors she trusts and every single one ended up great! She was a great resource and kept us on track. As for the actual wedding day, this is where I think CJ’s, Sydney, and the rest of the staff shine. From the rehearsal the day before to the sparkler exit, everything is organized and well planned. There was not a single time where I had to worry about where something was or how things were running. I can’t even imagine not having the CJ’s team there because it allowed my husband and I to truly enjoy our wedding day and soak in what we had planned for the past few months as oppose to worrying about the details. CJ’s is a well oiled machine and it shows. They know exactly what they are doing and are ready for anything that gets thrown their way. Yes, the venue is stunning and quaint with the garden, pond, and historic house, but it is truly the wonderful people you’re paying for. They are awesome! And made our wedding day such a hit! A few moments I want to call out: - Sydney helping to bustle my wedding dress. It was complicated and after my mother, MOH, and husband were struggling to find all the hooks, Sydney swooped in and saved the day! - The service staff were exemplary. I know one of my young guests loved the fried green tomatoes and befriended one of the servers to get as many as she could. This tied to the bar staff whipping up a mock tail so that she could feel like the adults, made her first wedding a blast. She still talks about how much fun she had 6 months later! - Sydney keeping an eye on our young guests and feeding the fish in the pond for them. - Sydney brought my husband and I a side of chimichurri sauce during dinner because we loved it during the tasting, but ended up not getting it. It was such a pleasant surprise! - DJ Scott! He is so much fun and handles the speeches/music flawlessly. Cannot recommend him enough! - The rest of staff making me and my now husband feel comfortable and at ease during the whole day. I did not need to worry about when the flowers were coming or if the tables were set. When waiting to walk down the aisle, they gave me reassurance to take a deep breath and then fluffed my dress. I truly just needed to show up and be present on one of the most important days of my life. And at the end of the day isn’t that all you want for your wedding day? A huge thank you to Sydney and the staff at CJ’s! While I don’t remember all the names of everyone there that day, you all made our day so special. Thank you!

This venue is magical! My husband and I wanted an intimate garden setting and CJ's checked all of our boxes. Most importantly, they make everything easy and stress-free. This was all thanks to our planner Sidney. From the initial tour to the very end of the wedding, she was there to make everything flow smoothly. She was so lovely to work with, was quick to respond to any questions we had and made us feel so comfortable along the entire process. The idea of planning and coordinating a wedding is so daunting. I am amazed at how seamless all the planning and the big day went. We made incredible memories, ate delicious food and cake, clean plates all around. We topped it with dancing the night away with our awesome DJ Desmond. If we could do it all again, we wouldn't change a thing!

As soon as my partner and I were engaged, I knew I wanted to get married close to home in Williamson County. We toured other places, and had Zoom meetings with a few more, but nothing compared to the feeling we had when we walked through CJ's with our amazing coordinator Sidney. We knew that zero details would be missed. Planning a wedding while being long distance from each other AND the wedding venue could have been a disaster, but Sidney kept everything running on time, smoothly, with not a single hiccup in the whole planning process. She gave me bite size things to work on between our Zoom meetings, and always had the big picture in mind. And the wedding itself was absolutely breathtaking. Two months later I still have friends and family calling and texting about how absolutely spot on the entire event was because they could see me and my partner in all the details! Sidney surprised us several times during the planning process, bringing her amazing creativity to the table to take our initial ideas and blow them up into a full on event of the year. Truly, truly, truly from the bottom of our heart, thank you Sidney & CJ's!

CJ's Off the Square was the perfect venue for our fall wedding. We could not have selected a more amazing place! The entire process was stress free, largely due to Brette, our planner with CJ's. She was professional, organized, kind, and enthusiastic from our first meeting all the way through our wedding day. She always responded in a timely manner and helped us with all the details. The venue itself is so beautiful and has everything you need in one place. Some of our favorite things about CJ's were the ability to customize things to make it fit our style, the small, intimate feel that it created for us and our guests, and how much is included in the package. The venue's landscaping is stunning and the overall layout is perfect for an intimate, romantic garden wedding. Sidney (our CJs planner) always made us feel like a top priority, made each planning visit fun and minimally stressful, and was there day of to keep everything running smoothly and to take care of any last minute needs. CJs was the perfect place for our wedding in April! The Main Street festival was the same day as our wedding and we were nervous about parking/traffic, but Brette and her team came up with a solution and it worked perfectly! We received so many compliments from family and friends about the venue, food and music. Everything was planned out so well by Brette, that on the day of the wedding, I had never felt so calm and stress free (looking back it’s weird how calm I was 😂). We feel very lucky that we were able to get married in such a beautiful, special venue!

5 stars in every category: Wedding planner services, venue atmosphere, venue staff, food, and accommodations. My husband and I fell in love with the venue the moment we first did a tour however, it exceeded all of our expectations at every milestone. Our wedding planner, Sidney, was very attentive and our wedding day had zero hiccups. We added one extra item to the base package which was the love seat bench for our sweetheart table and let me tell you the venue still shined beautifully. I say this to assure anyone who may have a tighter budget and cannot afford to add extra lighting or greenery - it really is not needed for this venue to be stunning. We had rain during our reception after dinner and the covered reception area protected us perfectly. A few guests left items behind after the wedding and Sidney had cleanly packaged them up and I was able to pick the items up a couple weeks later. We could not have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding! Not only is it beautiful, the location can’t be beat. My husband and I have very busy schedules, and the built in planning is what sealed the deal for us. Our planner, Sidney, was the greatest! She made wedding planning stress free and easy and went above and beyond. Looking back, I don’t think we could have pulled off having a wedding anywhere else! We couldn’t have done it without her. We are so thankful for CJ’s and can’t recommend them enough!

Our main goal was to have a fun and low-stress wedding - both in the planning stage and on the actual day - and that was easy to do with the excellent service at CJ's and especially with our lovely coordinator, Sidney. We especially appreciated the quality of the coordination the day of our wedding - it really felt like we got to enjoy this special experience thanks to Sidney thinking through every detail and making sure that our plan was enacted.

We cannot recommend CJ’s and it’s amazing staff enough. Our October wedding was truly one of the best days ever! The planning process was a breeze, because our planner Brette had every last detail worked out for us. Brette was extremely accommodating of the fact that my husband and I don’t live in Franklin, so she restructured what were supposed to be in person meetings over to a virtual format. We didn’t have to worry about a thing! And the CJs preferred vendors were all just as amazing to work with! The space at CJ’s itself is beautiful and intimate, and guaranteed to make everyone feel welcome. However, it was completely transformed into the most stunning event space I have ever seen on the day of our wedding! Everything was truly tailored to our preferences, and beyond, because I could not have dreamed up such an amazing final product myself. Everyone went above and beyond in making our wedding day a dream come true. Thank you!

I cannot speak highly enough of CJ's!! It was seriously the best decision we made during our wedding planning process. They just took care of EVERYTHING. We are so glad that we chose to have our reception at CJ's!! We had our ceremony at St. Philip Catholic Church and it was so nice that guests could walk over to CJ's afterwards because it is so close. We only had 6 months to plan our wedding due to schedule changes (my husband is in the army) so it was a huge relief that so many details were taken care of for us. I loved working with both Allison and Brette. Everything turned out so beautiful and was exactly how I wanted it. We got married four months ago and people are still talking about how it was the best wedding they have ever been to.

I had my eye on CJ’s for a few months before our official engagement- I knew dates were being snapped up quickly and was completely thrilled to book one of the last dates of the year. In less than 5 months we were able to pull off the most wonderful day! -The venue: just as picturesque in person as in the photos. The landscaping is so well planned and maintained through out the seasons, the layout of the ceremony/reception area is cozy but plenty of room to comfortably accommodate 100+ guests; the historic home is so beautifully appointed- even the bathrooms are super stylish! It’s so helpful to have getting ready areas for the bridal party on site. -The team: I can’t say enough great things about Brette our planner. She’s a total pro and was a joy to work with! CJ’s is definitely a well oiled machine and the planning process was streamlined and organized from start to finish. Brette stayed on top of all the details and helped walk us through pieces of the day I would never have even thought to consider. She was so accommodating to any specific requests I had but also brought so much experience to the table to help us make good decisions! My husband and I really looked forward to our planning meetings- we loved having those dedicated times set aside to walk through the process and dream about our upcoming day. -The vendors: One of the most appealing things to me about choosing CJ’s was that the catering/cake/rentals/DJ were all taken care of and I could completely trust in the quality of the vendors with whom CJ’s chooses to work. It was 100% worth it to have all of the vetting done for us so we could focus on the fun decisions of cake flavors and first dance songs:) Brette was also able to provide tons of references for other vendors we needed- photography, florals, wedding stationary, transportation, etc etc. I quickly discovered that CJ’s is a well known and well loved venue in Middle Tennessee and everyone in the wedding industry that we talked with were super excited to be a part of a CJ’s wedding! -The day: from walking into the bridal suite and seeing my dress and veil beautifully displayed, to watching the floral installation come to life, to realizing that the team made sure there were matching gold pens for the guest book- literally every detail was covered. At the end of the day what matters most is that I am married to the love of my life and did so in the presence of all our dearest friends and family. We celebrated and had the best time! That would be true no matter what wedding disaster had occurred. But the fact that we had the most beautiful day made it all that much sweeter:)

CJ’s is hands down the most magical venue. It’s beautiful beyond words and everyone there works so hard to make your visions come to life. Allison was our original planner and she was so helpful during our first meetings, when she went out on maternity leave I was worried about switching planners midway through the process but Brette was phenomenal!!!! When I came to her wanting to just flip everything on it’s head and change it up she was able to take my vision and run with it. The whole day was better than I ever could have imagined and Brette and her team did such an amazing job and the day went so smoothly. I wish I could live our wedding day over and over again. Our wedding at CJ's was everything we pictured. The process of planning was made so easy by Brette. She kept tedious notes on every idea we had thrown at her. The day of, she made sure everything ran smoothly and reassured me it was going well. The details that CJ's put into the ceremony and reception were immaculate. We truly had a perfect wedding day, and I can't wait to see the pictures!!

The best day of our lives all due to an amazing experience with CJ's and Brette! From the beginning to the end (day of and after) Brette was by our side for anything and everything. We wanted a smaller garden/outdoor venue and had to have my mother and sister do the touring initially for us as we live out of state. We all fell in love! All our vendors that were mostly suggested by Brette, were 100% perfect! The biggest thank you for a perfect day, must go to Brette. Through her work, she provided the example of what first class service, communication, and planning looks like. Always genuine, always honest and always there with the answer and smile! I honestly wish she could've sat in the audience during our ceremony as she truly felt like a close friend to us. Her excitement, matched our excitement, always. With our busy work schedules it was tough getting a time that worked for us for zoom meetings, but she was always very flexible. And her attention to detail kept my stress levels low so I could enjoy every minute from planning to enjoying the day of. We couldn't have asked for a more personal partner for this amazing day. From us, our families, and our friends (who all enjoyed the big day and will be talking for years about it) thank you, Brette, a million times over! You and CJ's, our dream venue, will always be at the top of our recommendations!

Our wedding day was absolutely amazing!! Everything went even better than planned and we were able to fully enjoy the day without having to stress about any details. Sidney was very helpful in planning everything and making sure everything was good to go. She even fixed a potential issue with our florist, avoiding issues on the wedding day. We would absolutely recommend CJs for a prefect wedding.

CJ’s was absolutely phenomenal. Any questions we had or issues that unexpectedly popped up (hardly any at all) they addressed immediately. They are so responsive to questions and concerns and work hard to make it a perfect day. The staff knows what they’re doing and are quite impressive. My daughter’s wedding went off without a single hitch. It couldn’t have been more perfect. An incredible experience.

This may be rare to hear in this industry, but I have absolutely NO complaints about my experience at CJ’s!! From day one, they made us feel so important and were so attentive to what we were looking for. Working with CJ’s Off the Square for our wedding was a complete dream! Our planners, Allie and Brette, worked closely with us to create a wedding day that we would remember always! Their professionalism, communication, and experience was something that we appreciated so much as we were new to the wedding planning process. We could not have possibly asked for a better wedding venue than CJ’s! We got married in October 2021, after moving our wedding from October 2020 due to COVID. The venue is absolutely beautiful (a historic house with a beautiful garden, complete with koi pond) and in a great location (historic Downtown Franklin), but the best part is CJ herself. She is the most organized person we’ve ever met and is extremely poised and diplomatic, which is so important when planning any wedding but was especially important when planning with COVID around. She came up with creative ideas to make our guests feel comfortable, and when our guest count wound up being lower than expected, she came up with a way to reuse some of our extra florals, using our chuppah to create a beautiful secluded sweetheart table for us in the garden. Since CJ’s is all-inclusive and CJ chooses the best vendors to work with, we had a great caterer, florist, and DJ as well. CJ’s also works with you to pick out tablecloths, plates, chairs, etc. and coordinates everything. It could not have been easier — and given that we were planning from out of town during COVID, we really needed that! Use CJ’s! You won’t be disappointed!

Couldn't have found a better venue to help create the best day ever!! Not only is this venue beautiful from head to toe, the inclusion of almost every vendor made planning a breeze. Sidney was our planner and she was a rockstar! She helped guide us in the planning process and made sure no stone went unturned when it came to small details that could often be overseen. She was professional, enthusiastic, and truly seemed to care about giving us the perfect wedding. This was the second venue we looked at and then the last. Sidney was wonderful from start to finish. I was just married on Sept 3, 2022. I showed up to the bridal suite, got ready, hung out with my girls, and was escorted downstairs to get married. Every detail was taken care of without me thinking about anything that day. Picking CJ’s off the Square for our wedding venue was the absolute best choice. After COVID forced us to reschedule our date twice, everyone from CJ’s was nothing but supportive and accommodating to us. When we finally got our wedding day it was everything we dreamed of and more. The garden, bridal suite, pavilion and entire property is absolutely stunning and we had so many of our guests express how impressed they were with everything. Brette and the rest of the CJs team made our wedding absolutely perfect. No exaggeration when I say it literally could not have gone any better! Every one of my guests commented on how great the venue was and the planning period was as stress free as it could be! We moved twice during our planning process and the options to maintain zoom contact when we weren’t able to meet in person made all of the transition absolutely seamless. We recommend Brette and the CJs team to absolutely anyone that wants an amazing, low-stress experience. And the value for the price was unmatched anywhere in the Nashville area! Highly recommend this awesome venue and awesome team!

Sidney at CJ’s was wonderful in supporting us for our wedding day. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful but their team really brought it together for us. I was not the most organized bride and still our day was so magical and I give a lot of that credit to Sidney and the team at CJ’s. I am so very grateful for the smooth, stress free, totally enjoyable experience provided for my daughter by CJ’s. The staff was extremely accommodating and personal and it couldn’t have gone better. My daughter went in and in about Brette making the entire experience everything she had dreamed of as a little girl. A dad couldn’t ask for anything more. Brette Craig was a very valuable part of our lovely 50th wedding anniversary experience. First of all, she has Christian values that make her relatable to others with kindness and concern as well as desirous to complete a job in a very expert and most "appropriate to the occasion" manner possible. She was very engaged, helpful, punctual, and most professional in all aspects of our preparation. If I had a concern, she never tried to put me off until later with an answer; she was there and present in every moment we dealt with her. Would I recommend her as a planner? Absolutely my husband and I would do so with no reservations! You simply cannot go wrong with such an experienced and dedicated lady!

We worked with two of their planners (due to a maternity leave) and the transition was seamless. I’ve been in many weddings and seen dozens of friends plan their big day so I do not say this lightly::: Brette and Allison took 100% of my stress away, the planning process could not have been made more easy, and they were the kindest and most professional women I’ve ever worked with. They answered every question timely, put every concern at ease, and were sensitive to any special family needs/concerns. If anything went wrong on my wedding day, I had no idea. It was truly the perfect day. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! They gave us waters and cake to enjoy the next day, they made sure we got a moment alone after the ceremony to enjoy, drinks and food were brought to us whenever we needed, and many more special touches that you don’t get anywhere else.

My partner and I had the best wedding experience at CJs. Our wedding planner Sidney was a an absolute pleasure to work with. They seriously think of everything! All evening and the rest of the weekend we got complements from our guests that our wedding was the best they had ever been to. Great food, great music, incredible staff, and beautiful venue. We knew back in 2020 that CJs Off the Square was truly a hidden gem. Fast forward two years later to a summer day in July 2022, we were right. This establishment had been welcoming from the very beginning and willing to accommodate where possible. The day of our wedding was magical in every sense. We have never seen such coordination between so many parties run so smoothly. It rained after our ceremony and guest were promptly taken care of. In fact, guests are currently still raving about how amazing the customer service was from beginning to end. At the head of this was Sidney Darby, our wedding coordinator. Working with Sidney was a true joy. She always greeted us with a smile and was patient throughout while covering every detail. On the day of the ceremony, I as the bride had experienced delay after delay that were not associated with the venue. It was stressful to say the least. Sidney quickly adjusted the timeline without breaking a sweat and more importantly reassured me that all is still well. We will sing high praises for Sidney and CJ’s Off the Square for a LIFETIME. Thank you for helping us put together an intimate, eloquent, and lively wedding ceremony and reception.

We lived in Franklin for years & had no idea CJ's was a venue - we're glad we found it! The venue and staff catered to our every wants and needs. When I was looking for a wedding venue I was looking for somewhere that could make my BIG dreams come true. CJs was all that and MORE. When I first met Sidney we instantly clicked! She was so SWEET and had such a POSITIVE attitude which continued through the process even when my feelings were going through the normal ups and downs of wedding planning. I told Sidney when we first met I wanted my wedding to be STUNNING. It was 100% a team effort. With a year of VERY hard work and Sidney and CJ at the forefront the CJs team created just that. My mom and I were VERY particular with our vision and were not sure our expectations could even be met, let alone be EXCEEDED beyond belief. After all our uncertainties, changes and weather issues, CJs delivered the MOST BEAUTIFUL, and EPIC (as our guests are all calling it) WEDDING. They worked extremely hard to make sure my husband and I had the PERFECT day. They went ABOVE and BEYOND having more meetings, emails, calls, and walkthroughs to make sure they could make our dream a reality. They are so personable and we could tell they individually cared about making our wedding perfect. They added in personal touches that made us feel special and incredibly grateful. The venue itself is GORGEOUS and so customizable. My husband and I always thought we’d have a 200+ person wedding but we ended up having around 115-120 and we loved the intimate wedding feel. They treated our families and guests with kindness and insured that our family and the wedding party were well taken care of throughout the evening. The tables were SPECTACULAR from the place settings to the BREATHTAKING flowers, the food was so delicious guests are still talking about those appetizers and that Gouda mac and cheese, the champagne wall backdrop was gorgeous and a big hit, the cool towel service felt so extravagant and was so appreciated. The DJ kept the night moving and the energy HIGH! You’d never know we were in a heat advisory with all the people on the dance floor! They executed every detail we asked for with precision. For all of this, we are eternally grateful. There is service and then there is STELLAR service. If I could give CJ’s a Michelin star, I would. They deserve it! I couldn’t recommend them MORE and hope to one day have another event at CJs!

We had a destination wedding and we’re so glad we had chosen CJ’s off the square. 75 of our closest friends and family were able to attend and everyone was able to enjoy themselves stress free while Sydney (wedding planner at Cj’s) took care of everything. The team they put together is nothing short of perfect. These guys think of everything, very detailed, time conscious, and even make an itinerary for you for your big day with every min blocked off so everyone knows where to go. Thank you Sidney for everything. I can honestly say we had one of the best, stress free days of our lives at our wedding because of you and your team!

We love CJ's! The venue is just lovely, and we have a fabulous experience hosting our son's rehearsal dinner party there. Sidney took care of all of the details from start to finish and there was never a moment where we were stressed! I am still amazed! I will add that the food, table presentation, bar and garden setting were all perfect and as I had hoped. I sincerely appreciate the fact that my husband and I were actually able to enjoy the evening. Our guests enjoyed the evening and are still talking about it!

As two teachers, the thought of wedding planning seemed very daunting, but CJs made it so easy from day 1 to feel excited without the stress of all of the little details. So many people kept telling us that something was going to go wrong on the wedding day, but CJs did a fantastic job at ensuring that everything was seamless. Even if something went wrong, we would not have known as Sidney, our planner, did such a great job with everything and was there with us the whole day. The venue was gorgeous, and all of our guests (mostly out of towners) were in love with the beautiful gardens and quaint classic southern charm. Sidney had everything perfectly planned out and organized from the start allowing us to show up, make all of the fun selections (plates, seats, food, etc), and then leave while she took care of all of the business details for us. We especially appreciated the check in process on the rehearsal day - we received a list of everything to bring and were able to drop everything off the day before so that when we showed up for our wedding everything was there, set up, and we were able to live in the moment. We would highly recommend CJs to anyone looking an all-inclusive wedding experience in the Nashville/Franklin area.

We were impressed with CJ's Off the Square the moment we stepped onto the property. The level of professionalism and organization sold us instantly. It was the very first venue we toured and we kept going back to it. The day of, Brette made sure that our wedding day timeline was on schedule and that everybody was where they needed to be. She had a great personality and was very welcoming to everybody who was involved with the wedding. We loved our experience at CJ's and can't recommend it enough.

Our May wedding at CJs was like a fairytale. The venue is so beautiful and makes the event feel intimate and magical. The staff at CJs makes the experience stress free because they do all of the work! Our planner was Sidney and she was so easy to work with and was always willing to answer any questions or concerns we had. Throughout the planning process people would always ask me if I was stressed or so busy with planning and my answer was no! The food was actually amazing, which I know is shocking for a wedding.

We planned our wedding at CJ's from states way in Maryland. This could have easily been an extremely stressful experience but it was not. That is 100% due to the amazing team at CJ's off the Square. Allison was awesome to work with. She would promptly answer our questions via email or video chat, provide vendor lists, and give thoughtful opinions if we felt stuck on decisions. I can honestly say that my wedding day was relaxing and stress-free because I could trust that Allison and Brette would flawlessly manage the timeline and all the moving pieces, which allowed us to focus on enjoying the day.

Planning our wedding was a breeze. Sidney at CJ's Off the Square was great to work with and she organized everything for us. What did we do? We had fun choosing our place settings; linens; lighting and colors. We tasted the appetizers; sides; main dishes and made choices that fit our party. We ate cake, drank champagne and never worried about the other stuff - the staff at CJ's had it covered. Our wedding guests are still talking about the intimate ceremony with sunshine, budding trees, and blooms of flowers in the garden. We danced the night away under the pavilion with our friends and family.

My husband and I originally planned to elope in March of 2020, then come back to celebrate with our loved ones at our wedding reception on April 3rd, 2020 at CJs Off the Square. It was important to us to get married somewhere new and exciting on our own, and then celebrate with our friends and family at this reception. We wanted the wedding day to be about us, and the reception was to be about our loved ones. We chose the Nashville area because it was drivable for our friends and family that live near us (we’re in North AL) and the Nashville airport was more accessible for our loved ones out of state/out of the country to travel to. We toured only one venue, CJ’s, and knew right away we would be taken care of. The world started to shut down in mid March of 2020 while we were on our elopement trip, and CJ’s let us know they would have to cancel all April events due to the pandemic restrictions. This was not the first of our plans to be upset by the pandemic, so we went with the flow and quickly chose a new date. We picked September of 2020 not knowing what the world would look like at that time. As we got closer, things were still looking rough, so we pushed the reception again to May of 2021, thinking surely things will be better by then. While they were slightly better, we were still hesitant to have our grandparents travel until it we could be absolutely sure they were safe. It still didn’t feel right celebrating with all that was going on in the world, and since this was a party for our loved ones, it wasn’t worth it to us to risk their health. If we had been putting off getting married we may have made the choice to include less people, but since this was purely a celebration we wanted to wait until we could celebrate as normal as possible. We moved our date one final time to April 1, 2022, almost exactly two whole years after our original date, and actually stuck with it this time! I know we were difficult, maybe overly cautious, and definitely unconventional, but Alli and everyone at CJ’s never treated us that way (at least never in front of us 🤣). I know we gave them many reasons to go home and down a bottle of wine at night but you would never know due to their professionalism and cheerful attitude through it all. I don’t know that we would have gone through with the reception at all had it not been for our planner, Alli. The event ended up being a great time, we were able to visit with loved ones we hadn’t seen since the pandemic started, and we didn’t have to lift a finger that day. Booking with CJ’s is an investment but you do get what you pay for. We booked the “standard package” which didn’t include as many customization options but honestly our guests would have never known. The full experience included us invading the space all day (we were there from about 2pm-10:30pm-ish), a buffet meal for about 90 people (again, “standard package” but still great), a full team of people to set up/take down decorations, valet park all of the guests cars, bartend, pass drinks during cocktail hour, clear plates after dinner and cake, and I’m sure I’m forgetting things. The best part of all was having Alli, and knowing she had all the bases covered for us. Weddings are expensive and it is extremely rare to feel like you got your money’s worth on something. If you have the budget to book with CJ’s, I highly recommend it. You can’t get better service, better food, or a more beautiful place anywhere around here. And they have Alli!

Choosing CJ's was the best decision we made for our wedding. We wanted to enjoy the process without having to take time away from work, and that's exactly how it went. Allison was our wedding coordinator and made everything so easy and seamless. We knew our wedding was going to be beautiful and fun but had no idea how perfect it would be. Everyone had the best time and it was far more beautiful than we expected. If we could only have Allison coordinate the rest of our lives, we'd be in great shape. We will forever recommend CJ and all of her staff and vendors.

When I started looking for a venue for our wedding, I knew I wanted something outdoor that could be more on the casual side. When I saw CJs, the first and only place I viewed, I knew it was perfect. Allison, our planner provided by Cj’s was amazing. She was nothing short of professional, organized and kind. On more that one occasion I was frazzled and behind and she helped me seamlessly put things back together. I know we were not her easiest clients of the year yet she always treated us with respect and a “can do” attitude. Our wedding was beautiful and stress free thanks to her. When my fiance and I first stepped into the pavilion and garden setting of CJ’s Off the Square, we immediately knew that this was exactly where we wanted to get married! The venue is beautiful and intimate, and the staff is amazing! We got engaged during COVID and pre-vaccines, and really didn’t know what to expect with our wedding planned for the Fall of 2021. But the staff followed all guidance to keep everyone safe, and the outdoor setting provided an extra sense of comfort and safety to our guests. CJ has the wedding planning process figured out to a T, and our wedding planner, Alli was so wonderful to work with. She got to know us and our style immediately, and after each meeting, we left saying how fun and exciting the process was. They make planning such a big event fun and stress-free, and even on the day of, Alli made sure all our needs were met so that we could just enjoy each and every moment of our wedding day. Our friends and family shared in our sentiment saying how perfect everything was, and it was summed up best by a friend calling it a “fairytale wedding”!
