Julie Moser was absolutely wonderful to work with- extremely accommodating of small asks, very detail oriented and thorough, responsive, made great suggestions but was not pushy and overall very pleasant. The service on the day of the event exceeded my expectations- the Staff were very pleasant and highly attentive. All our guests were well taken care of and were raving about the food. We highly recommend Classic Catering & Events !

They have a large selection to fit any style or budget and will work with you until everything is perfect. Julie was so friendly and prompt with responding to our emails with questions and concerns—she made us feel like we were her only clients. She was there to give layout and design advice, answer wedding related questions, listen intently to our ideas and preferences and executed them for us flawlessly, and even helped us find bartending services. She and Brett took time to visit our venue so they could ensure everything went smoothly on the day of, and it did! The staff that were there the day of our wedding couldn’t have been more professional and efficient. Even when we had a last minute problem, Julie and her team immediately addressed it and found a solution. And, the food was delicious!! We had a plated service and even with an outdoor tent and some rain, they still made it so each of our guests had a hot, delicious meal served to them. erything from the beginning was a dream to work with and helped us plan our special day out to be just how we imagined. My husband LOVES to eat so the food was a very important detail to us for our wedding day. They had our appetizer selections waiting for us at the head table when we came in after pictures and my husband was able to get a double plate of dinner just like we requested. We had beef medallions and salmon fillets, all guests got both unless they requested otherwise which I thought was pretty neat. We got so many complements specifically about how the beef was the best steak people have been served at a wedding. They also did a great job with food allergies as we had numerous guests who needed special accommodations, including gluten, nuts, dairy, as well as other special dietary restrictions. All of their needs were taken care of and everyone was able to eat a full meal, which is a big deal if you've ever dealt with food allergies at special events. The place settings were also so pretty. I would HIGHLY recommend them as a caterer for your wedding!

All of our guest LOVED the food, especially the Bombay shrimp, Chicken Florentine, fingerling potatoes and the vegan curry! They also raved about our mini dessert selection and the late night pretzel bar! On our wedding day, we lost power just as the main dishes were about to come out for a family style dinner. Autumn and her team did not miss a beat, they were plating food in the dark (using phone flashlights) and still managed to provide a great food presentation, right on schedule for our guests. After dinner, they moved right into clean up and getting the desserts out, we loved the mini tartlets and so did our guests! They kept the venue clean and even helped us move a few tables, as the venue owners were trying to get a generator going! It could have been a disaster, but thanks to the Classic Catering crew, our wedding day was perfectly imperfect! I highly recommend this team and the food - delicious!

One star is too many. My job caters in meals with Classic Catering every single day and 90% of it is old, rotten or raw. It is to the point where when their food comes, my staff and I throw it out immediately. At this point I am convinced this company is attempting to poison us. Tuesday they served us salads. Thinking they were safe, my coworker ONLY ate the meat on top and got so sick from it she couldn't work the rest of her day. After hearing other employees complain about their salads, we pulled ours out of the trash (because we NEVER trust their food) and opened them up to find BLACK and ROTTED avocado on every single salad. As I have said, this is not the first time. Do not support this company. Ours has let them know our problems with their food multiple times, yet still they do nothing to change it. Even the fruit they serve is old. Any company willing to let this continue... to care so less about their customers that they would let this happen, is not worth your business. **My staff and I have photos - my phone isn't letting me add them.

Beautiful tablescapes are on display and John even helped us pick out napkins and plate chargers. They offer other rental items so we were able to get a beautiful chandelier, too. John was always available, had excellent communication, and was extremely patient and flexible despite many changes and questions. He did everything he could to accommodate our requests and they even baked a special favor that we requested to give our wedding guests. We received lots of positive feedback about the food and they were even thoughtful enough to save us a plate from the cocktail hour charcuterie table! Little gestures like that mean so much! It was nice to see John there day of to oversee things and check in with us and he even sent a follow up email. Absolutely no complaints, everything went just as planned and I'd definitely do another event with them! Food is such a big part of an event and we're so thankful Classic Catering was there for our wedding on 9/19/20!

The butternut squash ravioli was DELICIOUS, I’d have another wedding just so I could have it again. They also handled me saying no to tents for our backyard wedding and then changing my mind 48hours before set up because of a rainy forecast. They threw up the tents and staged everything so perfectly, that even though it stormed through the entire ceremony everyone stayed dry and comfortable and it all looked beautiful. Every step of the way from the tasting, venue changes, number changes, design, rain we loved working with John Wagner. One of the owners, Brett, also sat down with us at our tasting to chat and then showed up to take measurements with John and was there setting up tents and tables the day before the wedding. If you can hire this company for your wedding, you will be in some of the best and most experienced hands. Thank you Classic Catering!

went dormant from March until late May. Once Classic was able to reinstate tastings and serve again, we immediately heard from Autumn and started slowing ramping back up. She helped guide us through what was going to be the most safe for celebrating and we had a Plan A and a Plan B. We switched to plan B two weeks before our wedding date and moved everything to our home under a tent and had a beautiful outside ceremony and reception. They had everything we needed and the set up/tear down went smoothly and quickly. We had a power outage the week before the wedding from a major storm and they jumped in to help us find a generator, the power came back on in time thankfully! We had Classic cater both our Friday night welcome dinner and our reception on Saturday. The serving staff was friendly, respectul of our home and guests, and they looked out for us and things that weren't even their responsibility which helped so much. They followed the plan completely and EVERYONE complimented the food, both nights. The vegetarian meal was so appreciated and enjoyed as well. We couldn't be happier with the service and support we received!

Everything from the taco and fajita bar to the cocktail hour apps to the steak were all cooked perfectly. ..everyone's plates were pretty much empty which is always a good sign. I also can't say enough of each staff member that worked with us...Mary, Karen, Autumn and Chef Paul...THANK YOU for being part of our teeny tiny COVID wedding!! The person we worked with (Autumn) was very professional and eager to listen to what we wanted. Autumn was really helpful in making our tasting menu selections, set-up a great tasting for us, worked with us on numbers, and even suggested that we order kids meals for the children to save money- which was super honest and not something you get from all companies. They were happy to modify the set-menus to allow us to pick appetizers/salads from one, and entrees from another. When we made modifications to numbers/choices we quickly received a revised invoice to show the changes. We never had a single problem, nor did we have to haggle or argue about anything on the invoice. They even sent me confirmation that my checks were received, which saved me from wondering/following up on this. The food was delicious, well priced, and there were lots of options choose from. Our catering was for a wedding. We loved the food and lot of our guests told us how much they liked the food. Sadly, since it was our wedding, we didn’t get to eat as much of it as we would have liked, but Classic helpfully set-aside appetizers for us so we at least got to try everything. The staff set to the event were amazing! They circulated really well making sure that everyone received appetizers (we opted for passed, rather than buffet appetizers), they were friendly and helpful to our guests- even the ones that came back for thirds (we did the dinner as buffet), and even offered to try to help me re-bustle my dress when it fell down (then, when that was unsuccessful, found my mom for me). We would absolutely use this company again for another event, and I have already recommended them to several friends/co-workers for catering. The event staff arrived on time, set-up efficiently, and were ready to go for cocktail hour. Dinner was ready on time, and the food was hot and delicious- just like when we sampled it. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for more. They are great!

There was a little disorganized confusion the day of the wedding but luckily it wasn’t anything huge. We had dinner catered for our wedding night and the serving staff was a delight. Because our wedding was on site where we stayed, they packaged up our leftovers and put them in the fridge for us. We also had brunch catered the next morning and it was delicious too! They were very relaxed and easy to work with for the set up and tear down. Would recommend!

The sample tasting in their facility was wonderful and delicious, and they also met some strict dietary concerns we had for a few guests. Preparation prior to the event was thorough with a detailed and outlined contract. Autumn was very responsive to any changes we needed. The execution was flawless. Install team for our tent was courteous and flexible with some day of weather issues we had and the rest of the team adjusted easily as well. The food was so good! Staff checked in with us at the end of meal service prior to them leaving and the following day the tear down crew came out for the tent, tables, and chairs. Overall we could not have had a better partner in our wedding than Classic Catering and I am so happy we found them.

We went with the pasta bar which was a huge hit as guests could choose what they wanted and see it be cooked right infront of them by onsite chefs so they not only got a meal but a memorable experience. If we had to do it all over again we would without a doubt still choose to have Classic Catering be our choice for caterer.

They decided that they did not want a long engagement so I had 3 months to pull an elegant, semi-formal wedding together. Needless to say, I prayed!! ;D I found Classic Catering on Yelp and, along with them, started doing my homework on a few others. Autumn invited us to join them for an Open House they were hosting. The "hand- writing" was on the wall after meeting with Autumn and her team and sampling the menu. We would consider ourselves "foodies", so, obviously, food is VERY important to us. We were pleasantly surprised to find their food was excellent! Kudos to the Chef, who personally prepared the food for our private tasting. Kudos to him and his kitchen team! Autumn and Brett were extremely accommodating and patient with me. Autumn is VERY organized and kept me on track with the planning and selections. I loved that it was a "one-stop" shop. They can cover virtually every need you have for your wedding or event and they'll do it all with a smile! I must add, their pricing allows you to get the best for less. We have three more children and I sure plan to work with them again!! Thank you Classic Catering for making this wedding a perfect day!!

For dinner we had chicken Florentine, roasted carrots and broccoli. Everything was incredible. d some of the table settings that Classic had to offer like vintage china, mason jars for our drinking glasses, and a variety of napkin colors to choose from (had peach which was an accent color!) We also loved that they took care of hanging the paper lanterns in our barn reception venue. They also had chalkboard signs to use- so we utilized this with displaying info about our signature drinks. I must note that on the day of the wedding, they did not have any vegetarian dishes prepared which we had specified and arranged for a few vegetarian meals. Luckily, they completely took ownership of the situation, and called in carry-out at a local restaurant, so our vegetarian guests would not have to eat only side dishes. Those guests said their dinner (once it arrived) was very delicious. I found all of this out after the fact, but I am very glad that they took care of their mistake. Overall, I was pleased with Classic and would recommend them for your southwest Michigan wedding or event.
