Toms services were absolutely horrible at my wedding. We contacted him and his wife Miki per what Miki asked us to do and asked for some money refunded back and Tom hung up on the phone call. When trying to call back, he rejected the call. I then texted and they responded stating that they will not refund us any money but will give us 50% off our next event. We stated we will NEVER use their services again due to how bad his services were at our wedding and would just like some money refunded back. As the phone call with Tom was being recorded, you can hear just how nasty he is. The owner of our wedding venue, Dean Ribble has also taken Tom Starks off his wedding page at Mountian View Barn Rentals because he also stayed Tom was horrible and was full of drama. He completely took Tom off the recommended list for the wedding venue. He completely ruined our day and my wife is still heart broken about it as are so many of our guests who were a witness to it. Our bartender Nicole Kline also had to deal with how nasty Tom is and she does not recommend him at events as she witnessed how nasty he was. This is not somebody you want at your family events, especially on your wedding day.

Tom was recommended to us by a family friend and they were shocked to hear everything that went wrong on my wedding day with Tom. I don’t even know how to begin because so many things went wrong. One day before my rehearsal dinner and three days before my wedding Tom sent a contract and asked for $200 more, we were not aware there was a contract because one was never mentioned when meeting in person or the whole year I’ve had him scheduled for my wedding day. He did not bring anything but himself and a clipboard to the ceremony. Did not bring anything to play music to practice the ceremony. Tom ruined my ceremony song when I was walking down the isle, he played the song I picked and then played my exit song when I wasn’t even half way down the isle. Coming into the reception, he hardly had the volume up so you couldn’t hear the songs, he introduced me and my husband by the WRONG NAME!! How do you work with somebody for a year and get the name wrong when introducing them in front of everyone. He did not play my family song of myself, my husband and my daughter. Totally skipped the whole thing and that was such a special moment for us together as a family. He was very nasty to myself, my mom, my mixologist, my husbands best man. He was given a list of songs to be played and did not play them as I asked him why he was not playing them when we already sat down with the list and everything was good to go. I later heard how mean he was to others and the mixologist told us that he was saying nasty things about the wedding before it even started. I am appalled by his behavior and extremely upset with how much he messed up. I truly believed he ruined my wedding and over a week later I’m still crying about it. It was such a special day for me and it was ruined. How do you mess up that much and are mean to that many guests and think you deserve all the money I paid? I think we deserve money back and so do over 40 of my guests who were a witness to the madness. I’m not sure why we were treated so badly, but him coming into the wedding already with a bad attitude already surly didn’t help. You should be ashamed of yourself.

We were planning a wedding from out of town and took a chance on Tom because he was recommended by our venue and we were so glad we did. Tom was extremely personable and enthusiastic about his job. He kept everything at the beginning of the reception running smoothly. Even my grumpiest uncle made it out to the dance floor. Our guests had a blast and Tom kept us happy all night long!

Tom was a great addition to our day! Planning with him was very streamlined and on our wedding day he played tunes that catered to the audience very well. We got lots of compliments from the guests about how thoughtful Tom is. He is also very enthusiastic and fun to be around!
