Terrica, Estella, & the rest of the Cocktails & Details team were amazing! We had a lot of last-minute adjustments & crazy things happen during wedding planning, but they were on top of everything & made sure the whole day went smoothly. We are so glad we booked them!
Terrica and the rest of the team are the absolute BEST. My husband and I live in the DC area, but choose to have our wedding on Jekyll Island. We planned the entire thing remotely and the process was smooth, easy and so fun thanks to Cocktails and Details! We hired them for the day of event coordinating and the design service. Everything looked absolutely incredible. Cocktails took care of the reception layout, tables, chairs, centerpieces, linens, general decoration, coordinated with all my other vendors so everyone was on the same page, did site visits for us, and took everything down at the end of the event. We just drove down to Jekyll and she had every detail completely taken care of. Every vendor she recommended was perfect. The rehearsal and day-of management went smoothly. I wasn't stressed AT ALL and that is solely thanks to Terrica! I would hire them again in a heart beat and pay double, her team is SO worth it. Cocktails and Details are simply the best wedding coordinator service in the Golden Isles, and my planning phone calls with Terrica were some of my favorite parts of the entire planning process. Plus, she has great dance moves. The wedding planning best decision I made was hiring Cocktails and Details. If you're having a destination wedding in the Golden Isles (or even if you're not), you need to book Terrica.
Having been the maid of honor in my sister’s wedding, I knew there were a lot of pitfalls I wanted to avoid during my wedding planning and decided to hire a wedding planner. We interviewed quite a few, including some in Atlanta and Jacksonville and finally found the right fit with Cocktails and Details. The look of relief on our vendors faces and their reassurance that things would be handled professionally when they heard we had hired them meant a lot. Our wedding day was romantic and beautiful as well as well organized and coordinated.

Every bride should have the experience we had with Cocktails and Details. From the very beginning, they got to know us as a couple which we loved. For much of our planning, my husband and I were apart with traveling for work, so their work process made it really easy to stay connected and on task. They did much of the heavy lifting for us and always provided detailed information to help us make decisions or keep us included. When the wedding day came around we weren’t anxious or nervous because we knew Terrica had everything under control. We were really able to enjoy our day with our family and friends. If you are busy and need a planner, you have to hire Cocktails and Details.

Because my husband grew up on Saint Simons Island, we wanted to share that sweet island family and friends. I knew for sure that I wanted to work with Cocktails & Details after following them on instagram. They were so much fun and their events were gorgeous. I was not disappointed! Together we created a beautiful wedding from the flowers to the linens to the presentation details at the venue. Everything was top notch. We had an incident with a vendor that could’ve been catastrophic for our wedding day. I do not know how we would’ve been able to deal with it without the finessing of Terrica and her crew. Forever grateful for them!
We were really happy with the services provided by Cocktails and Details. Their recommendations were on point and really fit the style wedding we wanted as well as kept us in budget. The extra attention on the day of the wedding made us feel really secure in not only our choice of wedding planner but also in that our day would run smoothly. Heard great feedback from our guests and vendors on their service which solidified that we made the right choice. Overall great experience.
I LOVE THIS CREW! My wedding would not have been the success it was without them. They went above and beyond to make our wedding great. Terrica really took the time to meet with us, explain things and bond with our family-- especially my sister who has Down Syndrome and wanted to be included. She loved her so much, Terrica made her feel so special. When she showed up to the rehearsal with a "Made of Awesome" banner for sister who was my maid of honor, there was not a dry eye in the house. There were so many special moments like this that they did to make our wedding beautiful. Do not hesitate in hiring them. Everyone on the team is kind, helpful and fun. They know their stuff!

My experience with the staff at Cocktails and Details was top notch. We hired them shortly after we were engaged and looking for a venue. What really sold me was how warm and family oriented they were. My husband and I come from big families and our parents were important to our planning process. I loved how they included them without making us feel awkward or them feeling left out. My planning experience was everything I wanted it to be. They helped us find the perfect venue, design theme and vendors. The wedding day was AMAZING. If anything went wrong, I never knew about it. My guests loved everything and had so much fun. I just hate that it flew by so fast! Definitely hire this team if you want a unique event for you and your guests.
I love, love, love, love Cocktails and Details. Terrica and her team went above and beyond on my wedding day-- helping us with everything from re-routing guests when there was a problem at our venue at the last minute to keeping the little kids calm and engaged for the ceremony. I know for sure I would need them but it wasn't until my wedding day I realized just how much! When Terrica says "Don't worry, I'll take care of it", it's as good as done. Even my mom who is a tough sell, fell in love with her . My guests loved everything -- the decor, the fun surprises we had for them and the details that were important to me and my husband-- and they all came from Cocktails and Details! I know everyone wants the best day ever and mine truly was.
Cocktails and Details did a fabulous job with our wedding experience!!! Terrica and her team are very hands on, extremely energetic and genuinely LOVE what they do. Now that the wedding is over I miss them LOL

My advice is to hire Terrica and her team, YOU WILL NOT regret it.
I thought I could handle all the wedding coordination on my own - but I was so wrong. The best thing I did was hire Terrica at Cocktails and Details. This girl is a pro!!!!!!!!!!!! Terri a and team helped with set up, gave me suggestions for great vendors and kept every last detail organized which is my greatest downfall. If you want a seamless day, no hiccups or surprises, book Terrica!
My husband and I live in Virginia and got married on St. Simons Island, GA. Being farther away, it was really important to us that we had trustworthy and responsive vendors in Georgia who could answer questions when needed. We also were looking for a team to do day-of coordinating. That way, our guests could enjoy the island and not spend their time helping us set up.
Let me tell you - Cocktails & Details not only met our expectations, they went above and beyond. Terrica and Colleen stayed in touch with us throughout the whole process and helped us create a flawless day-of production timeline. Being from the DC area where everyone (including myself) are a little high strung, I sometimes got frustrated with the good ole southern/island time/I'll-get-to-it-when-I-get-to-it attitude that many of our vendors took. Cocktails & Details were the exact opposite and were BY FAR the most responsive and professional of all of our vendors. I so so so appreciated that!
The day of our wedding, we had one small hiccup. One of our trolleys broke down and couldn't pick up our guests on time. By the time the wedding party arrived at the reception, Terrica had already researched 3 different transportation companies to pick up our guests at the end of the evening, spoken to my parents, and booked one for the end of the night. I didn't have to lift a finger or even worry.
To add the cherry on top, Terrica and Colleen are basically the cutest ever. They have that combination of sweet and doting, yet will get to business and get REAL serious if need be.
Hire these people! They are incredible!
1. Vendors were calling me day of wedding while I was getting my makeup done to ask how and where they should setup the chairs for the ceremony because they couldn't find Terrica(the wedding coordinator)
2. Candles on the sweetheart table were not lit. Not a big deal.
3. Candles that were placed to honor our deceased parents were not lit (VERY BIG DEAL!) When we walked in the reception hall Terrica's assistant was just standing against the table doing nothing. Had to ask her to please light the candles we've set up to remember and honor our parents.
Very disappointing! A wedding coordinator is suppose to take over and act in the place of you.
I planned all my details but really wanted someone to make sure everyone knew when to walk, when to dance and special things like that. My coordinator was so awesome! I love how she listened to me and made sure my vision and desires were communicated and solidified with my vendors. All of their work was detailed and personalized for our wedding. Our vendors all said that they made the day so easy. It was smooth, fun and just what I wanted.
I must say, I didn't expect to receive the attention to details like I did. Having heard the old cliche, you get what you pay for, a dozen times in my head the day of my wedding, I was more than pleasantly surprised at how expensive everything looked. Terrica was able to take my vision, along with my modest budget, and created the most amazing day of my life.
I loved my planner from the moment I met her and her style. Planning a destination wedding, as a bride I was really apprehensive about not knowing what vendors to hire or what to do. I used Cocktails and Details to help me find my vendors and the ones they matched me up with were perfect. They fit our budget and our style. We also worked with them on design and they basically made my vision come to life right down to the tiniest detail. After a detailed session of getting to know each other and showing them my Pinterest board, their team blew everyone away. I also received a bridal concierge who brought us champagne and lunch while we got ready and helped us with getting dressed as well as prepped for pictures. Best decision ever! If the concierge is available, book her ASAP!!! Everyone was so laid back and relaxed with her help. All I can say is that Cocktails and Details are the best. I really enjoyed my day and felt like a star and it was all because of them!
Every little girl has that dream of that special day...her wedding day. My expectations were perfection...a day that would go off without a hitch. I promised myself and my braidsmaids that I would not be your so called "Bridezilla" :) Mrs Terrika Skaggs was a valuable part of my perfection....even more then I thought she would be. On June 15 2015, Mrs Skaggs had everything in order for us. Her multi tasking abilities through the morning made sure my sure my time was spent with laughs and relaxation. My time had finally arrived. As I stood waiting for things to officially begin, my maid of honor giggled as she mentioned how important my traditions were to me. I immediately noticed we forgot my "something blue and borrowed". Terrica saw my panic, walked right up to me and undid the clasp to her stunning Blue Sapphire bracelet. She wiped away a quick tear and reminded me of my flawless make up job. My superwoman saved the day! The remainder of my day was beautiful. My vision was created and we were blessed to have had such a wonderful planner in our corner! Thank you Terrica!
I am so happy to share this review with other brides! I worked with Terrica from Cocktails and Details for our wedding day. I am an out of town bride so of course my stress level was very high when we decided to do a destination wedding. Terrica and the team and Cocktails Details put all of our fears at ease. Not only did they take care of all of the vendors that we needed for our wedding day, but the designed and planned the prettiest wedding we have ever been through. I wrote this review to say thank you! We thank you for the passion you have for what you do and giving an opportunity to myself, husband, family and friends to enjoy such an important day!

Not wanting to do all the planning myself, having a classy wedding without all the stress was so important to me. Terrica was easy to work with aand helped me realize the vision for my wedding day. I hate hate hate planning events and didn’t want to be the novice bride, planning my own wedding. I didn't want to hunt for all the things that go into a wedding. Fortunately, I came across Terrica's website and called her immediately. Hands down, it was the best decision and investment made for my wedding day!
She asked all of the right questions to put together the right wedding for me, and she really listened to every last detail that I gave her. She handled booking all the necessary vendors and helped add special touches that made my wedding unique to me and my husband.

I knew I wanted to use a wedding planner for my wedding, but I didn't know how to choose which one. What was I supposed to look for? How did I interview them? The process had me really stressed, so I just asked a friend who recommended this company. From the first phone call, they were so friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They asked me a lot of questions in order to get an accurate idea about what I was looking for and expected. They gave me great options that were actually affordable and listened to what I wanted the whole time. They never just 'did their own thing.' I appreciated this very much. My wedding was perfectly planned and I just sat back and relaxed! I'm so thankful I found this company and I would definitely recommend it to all!
We had a big ethnic celebration/destination wedding that was full of details of my husband’s heritage (Indian) and religious traditions from mine (Spanish). We interviewed several wedding planners both American and Indian and we were most impressed with Cocktails and Details. They were very knowledgeable, prompt with communications and so easy to get along with. Because of this, we actually hired their entire team to handle our wedding day and the Sangeet and Mehendi days before the wedding to make sure we had a professional planner at the helm of each event. With over 30 vendors and 375 guests, they executed our wedding perfectly. We had a mix of vendors that were local and some flown in from New Delhi, Atlanta, New York and Orlando and so many of them told us how they were so impressed with Terrica and her team. Even my VERY hard to please mother-in-law was so happy with them that she brought them custom saris to wear for the wedding! If you have a wedding that is high end and high production, you cannot go wrong with these wedding planners. They know what they are doing and how to get things done
I knew one thing when my fiance proposed; we needed to get a wedding planner to keep from losing my mind. We are both doctors and don't have the time to spend on trying to coordinate everything ourselves without having a breakdown.
I got a recommendation for this company from a friend of my sister's who had recently used them. Her wedding turned out perfectly, so I spoke to them and wound up hiring them.
Throughout the 14 months we were engaged, our planner made the entire process fun and stress-free. We were actually relaxed about some of the big decisions. She took care of all of the details, large and small. Nothing was forgotten, since she knew the right questions to ask to figure out what we wanted. She was really reliable and never overwhelmed us.
Our wedding was absolutely perfect; she thought of everything and acted as a buffer between us and our vendors. I would recommend her to anyone.
My wedding day would have been a complete disaster if it weren’t for my wedding planner! Our DJ came highly recommended but when our wedding day came, it was clear that they sent a complete novice to handle the entertainment portion of our wedding. It could’ve been a horrible experience but Terrica and Jamie rocked it. They took over making the announcements, which were perfect. My mother in law still raves about the tearjerking intro for the mother-son dance! They were able to walk the DJ through the ebb and flow of the music before things got progressively worse. They also saved me when my aunt who was going to handle the decor did a less than stellar job, bless her heart. When my maid of honor showed me a picture of the setup I was almost in tears. Terrica came to my suite and hugged me and said “Don’t worry about it. It’s going to be a beautiful day”. I didn’t take her seriously and thought she was just trying to make me feel better. When I got to my reception venue, I walked into EXACTLY what I wanted. Her and her staff re-did my florals and brought in some extra touches that made my wedding so amazing. Everyone said it was beautiful. I was very impressed with everything I learned about the company before we hired them and they were so professional in helping us tie things together, but on the wedding day they truly exceeded everything we ever thought or imagined. I would most certainly recommend them to any bride who wants a stress free planning process and to trust their wedding day to true professionals.
If you are looking for a team of friendly, knowledgeable, and FABULOUS planners this is the company for you! From start to finish working with Cocktails & Details was a complete dream. In a recent interview for a bridal blog I was asked what advice I would give to future brides, that was simple. Ladies making an investment with the right wedding planner was worth every penny. The expertise and professionalism was top notch, and I honestly could not have imagined my wedding going 1/2 as smooth without these ladies! A million thank you's will truly never be enough for making sure I had the wedding of my dreams! I highly recommend this company, they truly make every event fabulous.
We hired Cocktails & Details about 4 months prior to our wedding when we realized our current planner would not work out. Our wedding was in Jacksonville, FL and we found Cocktails & Details on a video from the DJ company we were using. We spoke with Terrica the owner several times and she was very prompt and responsive. Their website was also very professional. Their day of planning services were twice as much as all other planners we looked at, however, we figured we had already spent so much on the wedding we should not skimp on a planner because we wanted everything to go perfectly. We booked Cocktails & Details and unfortunately we did not get the top of the line service we had paid for. Honestly, given the reviews on wedding wire you would think we hired a completely different company. The week before the wedding a vendor contacted me at work stating she had never heard from Terrica or received a timeline about when she could set up for the wedding. I contacted Terrica immediately and she contacted the florist with the timeline but then 2 days later another vendor called with the same complaint. When Terrica was asked as to why we were even receiving calls from vendors the week of our wedding, she implied it was our fault because we hired these vendors. Another vendor complained that the information they received was so basic and minimal she contacted me because she did not feel comfortable with so little information. That vendor was the make up artist who according to the schedule was supposed to arrive at 2-2:30 pm which would have made it impossible to do 7 people's make up and be ready for pictures by 3:30. Because of that everything ran late and we were unable to get sufficient pictures prior to the ceremony. She totally forgot the aisle runner for the ceremony. She did not utilize the hostesses at all and no one was in place to direct people to sign the guestbook or leave well wishes. She was given the gifts for the blending ceremony and just handed them off carelessly to someone else with no instruction. She also did not instruct someone to place the broom when it was time to jump the broom and then ran to the front of my formal wedding in bright pink tennis shoes to place it herself. She was not at the venue when we arrived and had given us no prior direction on what gate to enter. She and her assistants all went to get a steamer instead of someone being in place at the venue a mere 3 hours prior to the ceremony and did not answer the phone even though I called her 3 times. She instructed us at the rehearsal that we did not need a mic and our guest could not hear our vows at the ceremony. Honestly there was so much other stuff that went wrong and not enough space on here to type it. I would not recommend her services for the price. You only get married once (hopefully) and although I enjoyed my wedding day, it was not the perfect wedding I dreamed of and the poor service we received only added a great deal of stress to an already stressful time. Many of the other reviews are older so I am not sure if the company has just declined over time but I definitely did not receive the service listed in the other reviews.
As every woman does, as a child I had always dreamed of an amazing exotic wedding. When my now husband asked me to marry him, I knew exactly what I wanted...I just didn't know how to plan it. With my vision in mind, I search the internet high and low for the best wedding planner. I found St. Simons and it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made! From the start, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable AND they actually listened to me. The lines of communication were crystal clear and my planner kept me abreast of all developments. I have heard horror stories about wedding planners, but my experience was a total dream. The only thing I had to think about was saying "I do". St. Simons handled my wedding like true pros! Excellent customer service, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile! Beautiful location, exquisite flowers, perfect weather, scrumptious foods, delightful entertainment, flawless hair and makeup, and accommodations to die for...my wedding was just as I had always dreamed and it would not have been possible without the expert assistance of St. Simons! I highly recommend this wedding planner to anyone who wants to let go of the reigns and enjoy the process...I know I did!
This company gave us the most spectacular wedding we could only have dreamed of. From the get go, they were professional and extremely eager to satisfy our needs. Style and romance are important to us and we wanted our wedding to be exactly that, stylish and romantic. They listened to our needs and designed the most glamorous wedding ever! The whole experience was delightful and they didn't give us any course to worry at all.
I trusted them with every decision and they certainly delivered! I'll never forget this day, it was truly beautiful and all the guests were in awe from the time they arrived, to the time they left. We have a few friends getting married next year and they have already booked with Cocktail & details. I'm jealous! I would love to go through this whole experience again. Everything my husband and I have ever done has been on Valentine’s Day— our dates, anniversary of becoming official, and proposal, so of course we wanted our wedding day to be on Valentine’s Day too! I’m not the type of girl that has been dreaming about her wedding since she’s been little, but I am romantic and did want it to be beautiful. Since we were doing this on our own and also buying a house, spending a lot of money wasn’t an option. We found a few venues what we liked but we didn’t like some of the policies or requirements, so we weren’t sure what to do or where to turn. I was just about to give up when I saw the all inclusive packages from Cocktails & Details. THE BEST EVER. I thought the process was so easy— we booked and then received the online catalog that had SO many choices in it— venues, decorations, catering menus, and so many upgrades. You can literally plan your wedding in one sitting. I loved it because it was just like online shopping. I picked everything I wanted and it sent my choices to my wedding planner. Because of all the things already included I still had money left over to upgrade my linens and entertainment.They obviously have some great agreements with local vendors because in all my research, some of the options I had with Cocktails & Details cost far less than had I did it on my own. We met with our planning team twice — once to go over the details we chose from the catalog and again a month before the wedding to go over how the day would go. I was nervous at first, because it was just too easy, but these ladies know what they are doing! They were there to answer all of our questions and offer advice on etiquette and flow of the day. All my guests said how beautiful my wedding was, which was exactly what I wanted. I love Cocktails & Details for making the most important day of my life so very wonderful.
We had always been in love with Jekyll Island from previous visits there and is where we were engaged. We really wanted to share our favorite vacation spot with our family and friends for our wedding, but had no idea where to start. In doing some research, we found Cocktails & Details and their all inclusive packages. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. I loved the process and having our event planners there to answer questions along the way. Their online catalogue provided everything we needed to plan our wedding and with a few customizations and upgrades, I had the wedding of my dreams from the decor to the food. The best thing I ever did was to let them handle everything for the wedding. I didn’t worry about a thing and it was truly like something out of a storybook.
We met Terrica in passing coming from our tasting with our caterer. She had come highly recommended by our caterer and our photographer, so it was a coincidence that our paths crossed after leaving our appointment. We already had plans to interview some other coordinators, but we cancelled those appointments after spending some time with Terrica. She knows EVERYTHING about the area and EVERYTHING about pulling off an amazing wedding. Our caterer had mentioned how detailed she was and how she runs her events with military precision. This is no joke. When we received our event blueprints, we were beyond blown away. It was like our wedding bible! As a type A bride, it totally put me at ease to know that all the major and minor details had been accounted for and that all my vendors were on the same page. With so much production being put into the day, it was really great to see how it all came together. I can honestly say that I really enjoyed being at my wedding— not having to worry about what was next, who was going to setup, if it was going to look right or make sure all my requests were met. So many guests were in love with our wedding planners as well.
We didn’t have much money to do a big wedding right now, so we decided to elope. I didn’t want a basic, run of the mill elopement. It was still my wedding day and I wanted it to be special for both of us. Since we live in North Carolina, I decided to look into some options that would allow us to go away but not cost too much. Google led me to Cocktails & Details. I loved the package that included everything that I could dream of and it was beautiful. I loved how I could make my ceremony so personal and unique to us. We decided to get married on the beach and added an arch, heart of love, lantern aisle way and chairs with sashes for some family that decided to join us. My bouquet was exactly as it was pictured from the catalog.
I opted for a luxury elopement, which came with a hotel stay, candlelight dinner, and strawberries and champagne. I loved working with them and wish they could have done a bigger wedding for me! They made everything special for me, even though my wedding was small, which really meant a lot.
The best thing I did was to hire Cocktails and Details. They truly have a gift for what they do. I was an “organized mess”! I like to think that I am very detailed, very organized and very proactive, but it got to a point where I was VERY overwhelmed. I became obsessed with everything from the weather, RSVPs, guests with allergies and so much more. I was an over informed bride and I drove everyone crazy! My sister attended a wedding planned by the owner of Cocktails & Details and the first thing she said was “You have to meet this woman!” I was anti planner from the beginning because I thought I could do it all myself and a planner would just get in my way. Even after meeting Terrica I wasn’t 100% sold, because I wanted to do it myself. It wasn’t until I called her in tears, before I even HIRED her, over a vendor who was no longer available for my event. She talked me down and made me feel so much better. We talked about my options, how beautiful my wedding would be and that is when I knew I found “The One”. She had no obligation to me at all, but still handled me with such care and compassion. Working with her was such a breeze and I loved her process. Checking in on the virtual office to see how things were going, keeping track with my planning and sharing all my millions of ideas and documents were so easy. I felt like I was still in charge, I just had an expert by my side. When it came time to handle the logistics for my wedding, her team thought of EVERYTHING— little things I never would have thought of that could have probably thrown a few monkey wrenches in my day had we not planned for it in advance. Trust me, they KNOW what they are doing. When I gave my final numbers to my caterer, they asked if I had a timeline and I said that I had hired Cocktails & Details. They stopped right there and told me not to worry because “their timelines are legendary”. I thought this was just one vendor puffing up another…until I got my timeline. From the start of the day to the end of the day, every detail, flower petal, music note, and more is accounted for. I know some people are as particular as me, but this was a huge relief to see everything laid out as all my details just seemed to be up in the air. I also saw why all my vendors said they loved their timelines, they truly take everyone into account. My wedding day was beautiful and flowed so naturally. It was only until after I found out some minor hiccups, but they were handled so well behind the scenes, I never would have known if I had not been told. If you need the best in the area, you can stop at Cocktails & Details.
I personally hired all of our vendors for our wedding, which everyone tell me is uncommon for the groom to do. Since my (now) wife was deployed in Afghanistan, I didn’t have much of a choice. I really wanted her to have the wedding of her dreams, but I also knew I would need some direction and (a lot of) help in the decorating aspect, so I started looking into hiring wedding planners since my deployment would end before hers. The whole process was a bit frustrating and prolonged until I met with Cocktails and Details. I scheduled a phone call with Terrica and all I can say is that she has a knack for sensing a person’s stress and dealing with people. I think she could tell I was exasperated and overwhelmed with the whole process because I am sure I was short and very blunt. I was tired of the rigamarole, to be honest, and didn’t really have the time for it. So, that being said, I was totally caught off guard when minutes later, she and I are talking football and mixed martial arts. I found myself relaxed and by the time we began talking about the wedding, I was excited again. With my fiancée being overseas, I was completely sold on their long distance wedding planning tools— the tasks lists, virtual office, etc. But what impressed me even more was Terrica skyping with my fiancée at odd hours due to the time difference on several occasions to plan the wedding. She would always check in on us both and thank us for our service. She took very good care of us so we knew our wedding was in good hands. The wedding was everything my fiancée ever dreamed of and I know I could not have done it without Terrica, my “boots on the ground”. Terrica was an awesome resource and planner who turned into a great friend.
My family lived in Atlanta but decided to get married on Saint Simons Island where we frequently vacationed when I was a child. My mother initially found Cocktails & Details and met with Terrica while she was in the area. My mother, who is a hard sell for just about anything, was so impressed that she hired her on the spot. We initially hired her for day of coordination because we really wanted to be active in planning since my mother’s friends knew people and they could give us recommendations. This changed the second the caterer we hired became extremely unresponsive and when they did respond had ALL of our information incorrect. At that point, we knew we couldn’t afford (financially or mentally!) to try to research and hire vendors on our own. We Facetimed with Terrica and immediately felt better. Her vendor matchmaking process is awesome! She got to know our vision and budget, then supplied us with a digital portfolio of vendors suited to our needs. Personally, I loved this because during this time I was taking the bar, and really couldn’t afford to answer exorbitant amounts of emails from vendors with their follow ups and calls. Terrica met with our vendors, Facetimed us with the ones we were considering and helped us come to a determination on who to hire. At the end, we had the dream team of vendors. Had I known everything I know now, I would’ve done this right from the beginning. Our wedding was beautiful. We had a potential disaster and the team handled it perfectly. My uncle was supposed to marry us and two hours before the wedding, he got very sick. Everyone was panicking and distraught that this would all be for nothing. Within thirty minutes, Terrica had a new officiant making his way to us ready to perform the ceremony AND made sure that meals were sent to my uncle and his wife during the wedding to their hotel. Also, while dinner was served, a guest invited by my in-laws screamed at our planners about her dinner due to her allergy that was not made known to us. I personally saw the interaction and Terrica never flinched— she handled the situation with such grace and patience. She was able to get a completely new meal prepared our guest without any hesitation. I don’t know what I would do with my wedding team that day, they made sure everything was perfect for me and it was! I would not hesitate one bit to refer them to any bride!
I had actually hired someone else for my destination wedding in St. Simons Island but after I signed the contract with them, it was more than apparent that I wasn’t a priority. I couldn’t get my emails or calls answered. I know that when I had first hired this company, it was during wedding season, but I hadn’t expected to be totally ignored. My fiancé and I talked about it and decided that if things didn’t change soon, we should cancel our contract and get our money back. The next day I decided I would look into other planners. I found Cocktails & Details and was so impressed with their website that I contacted them. I initially thought they would be too busy to speak with me as well, but they contacted me back immediately to talk about my wedding. They were so interested in what I had planned, what my vision was and even offered some information that helped me with some of my other planning issues. Every time I emailed with questions, they responded back, so with how I had been treated before by my own planner, I was very pleased. I ended up canceling that planner and securing Cocktails & Details and I never regretted it. They were there with every call and email to answer my questions or offer advice. On the day of my wedding I had THREE team members there taking care of my wedding. We had many changes for our wedding— including a location change the day of the wedding and they pulled it all off seamlessly. At eight months pregnant, Terrica was the head of my event team and worked just as hard, if not harder, than every one else, which both worried and impressed my mother! The personalized service and attention my family and bridal party received was a huge deal. They took care of us and made sure that we were taken care of with no worries.
I have worked with Terrica on several weddings. Her business name says it all "Cocktails and Details". She is so much fun to work with, a great sense of humor, loads of compassion, no detail to small or too big. She is there from beginning to end to make your day perfect! I chose her to be my wedding planner when I got married because of her capability to handle any situation at any time without showing any effort at all. She is grace, she is style! I guess I came across Cocktails and Details in a way that other people don't. I was in a wedding that they coordinated. I had just got engaged a few weeks before, so I was really observant on what went on at weddings. I loved everything that Terrica did for my best friend's wedding! She made us all feel so comfortable and relaxed. I've been in a lot of weddings, and typically everybody is running around crazy trying to do things. Her staff had everything under control and made the entire event run super smooth. I told my fiancé that night that I wanted to hire them for our wedding and we did! Working with my event team has been awesome! They are so attentive and supportive. They seem to know answers to my questions before I can even ask them! I cannot wait for my own wedding day to come.
We found ourselves stuck with a coordinator who was horrible. Into the process, we found out some things that made us completely uncomfortable with her handling our wedding. Since we had a lot of details and logistics planned for our wedding, we were terrified about just letting the day happen on its own, but we were just as gun-shy about hiring another coordinator. Our photographer suggested that we call Terrica and she met with us on a visit to the area. I do not know WHY we didn't go with her in the first place! She looked over everything and didn't blink--I mean we had horses and 12 belly dancers! Her team was fabulous and the wedding was produced by a real professional. All my guests kept saying that everything was so awesome and it was definitely because we had the best wedding coordinator!
We hired Cocktails and Details for their all inclusive wedding package. We had been together for a while and saving for a new house, so we didn't have "the big wedding" money saved for what we originally had planned. We decided to cut our list to make things easier. I just knew that I would have to give up my dream wedding. That was NOT the case with Cocktails and Details! We had looked at other packages offered by the resorts, but we found that it tied us to their particular venue or catering. Even my fiancé was impressed by what was available from the Cocktails & Details package. It was really easy-- we just made a few choices and our dream wedding just happened! It's been about three months and I am still in love with the crew at Cocktails and Details.
Our first intention was to just elope and go to the Caribbean for our honeymoon. My husband is from Saint Simons, so we flew in to visit his family and friends in the area and I immediately fell in love. By the end of the weekend we decided to do some research on having the wedding on Saint Simons. He's a lawyer and I'm a doctor, so you know what that means-- we have zero time. Aside from picking my bridesmaids and dress, I really had no idea what I wanted, where I wanted to get it, nor did I have the time to try to figure this out in between patients. My husband's mom called and told us that she had been to a social event that Cocktails & Details put on and sent us pictures and I was so shocked that something like this came out of this relaxed, sleepy Coastal Georgia town. We ended up getting an intimate wedding package from them, where they provided florals, decor, catering, photography, etc. Basically everything. We worked with Terrica, and she made everything so easy and so fun. The system she set up for us worked perfectly for our busy schedules and being in a different time zone. We told her about us, what we were looking for and made a few choices and it was done. I was apprehensive at times that the process could be THAT easy and that there was only one contact person for such an important event, but by the time our wedding finalization meeting happened, I was completely at ease because I saw how much she had thought of and planned for. By the time my wedding day arrived, every one wondered why I was so relaxed and my wedding team was why! It totally, completely surpassed my thoughts of how the wedding would have turned out. For lack of a better word, it was magical. Being next to the water at sunset, the lighting, the special decor...everything about it was absolutely fabulous. The details were amazing and my photos were even more beautiful than I could imagine. We truly had the best vendors on the island. With our package we were still able to take that dream honeymoon (ask for Gianna who can help with your travel at Cocktails and Details....another reason I went with them. They literally handled everything). If you have a set budget or you only have a few people in your guest list or even if you don't know how to pull your wedding vision together, you can rest assured you will be very well taken care of. It's so easy and you have the support of, in my opinion, the best wedding planner in the area.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of having a fairytale wedding. I knew I wanted a high end wedding with all of my friends and family there to celebrate with me. Cocktails & Details was the best vendor that really helped me to have the wedding of my dreams. Everything was so well managed and flawless. I couldn't believe how gorgeous my wedding was. I look back at the pictures in awe that my dream wedding actually came true. My wedding was produced just as I dreamed it would be and I can't thank Cocktails & Details enough!
We decided on a destination wedding for our wedding. We had no clue where to start or what place would be great for us and our guests. Terrica and Gianna were so great! They showed us a few places in Cancun and we narrowed it down to three places. They were able to arrange for us to travel together for a group visit and it was so reassuring to see how well my team interacted with the resorts' staff. Their experience at the resorts really made us feel better about them handling all the major details for us. I don't think we could've done it without them-- they coordinated our guests' travel, arranged for decor to be sent down and even flew down with us to handle everything. My wedding was amazing! Having them there with me made feel like we had done the right thing and I could really enjoy our getaway. They are a great team and it was so awesome to see them with their hair down during non-wedding events. They are truly good people!

I’m a natural perfectionist and planner so the idea of leaving the planning up to someone else was a little scary but I just didn't have time to plan our wedding. I am so glad that I found Cocktails & Details they did an amazing job. They pulled off a very lush and romantic wedding while staying within our budgetary constraints. My wedding was a little over a month ago and I am still in a happy cloud! I absolutely LOVE Terrica and her team. I was having a destination wedding on St. Simons and was already acquainted with the company from reading their blog. I loved all the real world advice and creativity and this got even better after I hired her. She really got to know Russ and I, which made everything that she suggested and did for our wedding even more memorable and beautiful. When we decided to go back home to St. Simons Island for our wedding, being in another state, I knew I would need help with all the planning and logistics. My mother asked around to friends and family if they knew any one and Terrica's name came up a few times. I decided I would keep trying to plan on my own to get a vision for my wedding and once again, I came across some of Terrica's previous weddings on various blogs and magazines. Even though I had researched a few other local planners, I loved her creativity and passion for what she did. It was really important as a long distance bride AND a lawyer to feel comfortable that everything would be taken care of and planned the way I wanted, but still being able to enjoy being a bride and my family and friends. Our first meeting was awesome-- I immediately knew she was the planner for me. What was supposed to be an hour initial consult turned into a two and half hour long dinner that made me feel like she was a part of the family. She addressed my mom's concerns with details, my dad and groom's concern with budgeting and my concern with the look and flow of the event. I will be honest, we left that meeting and breathed a huge sigh of relief. She and her team were phenomenal throughout the planning process-- keeping us up to date on their work, items we needed to pay immediate attention to and just checking into make sure we were okay. She came up with some great ideas that made our wedding so gorgeous, but was also our best advocate when when needed to hear the truth or have someone act on our behalf. All of the vendors raved about her, many who had to be flown in due to our preferences, as well as some of the hometown favorites. I can't say enough great things about her. She just made everything "work" and did it flawlessly. If you are a bride getting married in St. Simons you must hire her and her team.

I cannot even begin to thank Terrica and her events team for making my 10th wedding anniversary where my husband and I renewed our vows the most memorable day of our lives. I learned of Terrica through a cousin who used her services before and wanting a destination wedding, actually our first, since we went to City Hall 10 years ago, I wanted everything to be perfect. Terrica and I met and she made our vision come to life!! I had nothing to worry about as she was extremely organized, detailed, sincere and passionate, not to mention her energy and sense of humor where very much needed when I had moments of wanting to give up!! She thought of every detail, things that I could never have managed to do on my own and on those rare occassions when I felt like I had to be in the know and wanted to control the situation she just calmed my nerves and assured me everything would be taken care of. Terrica more than exceeded our expecations so much so that my husband who could care less about the tiny details was pleasantly amazed. Her team is equally fantastic. Terrica is very nice and she seemed amazing when we met with her before we signed the contract. I thought she would be more help during the planning process meaning that it seemed she would be willing to help with more questions as we had an out of town wedding but it was ok that she wasn't because I did purchase the least expensive option. The day of the wedding, many things did not go as we had planned together previously. Terrica was very helpful in dealing with the officiant we first hired who tried to charge more than the contract and did relieve her of her services while also helping us find a new officiant within a few weeks of the ceremony! This was very helpful. I definitely believe it was better to have her than not to.
Here was my response to the timeline email that said we would have to end at 10, sent on June 11: Thanks Terrica.
At first glance it looks like I will need to adjust a few things and add a few things. I'm at work today so I will try to get it done tonight :) I know for sure that we our reception isn't ending until 11pm. We have the all the vendors until that time and then there is an hour for cleanup. We have paid to have the atrium until midnight. I know that the alcohol has to stop at 10pm but we will keep on dancing :)

Even with the things that did not go as planned - I do believe our wedding was beautiful and we had a great time :)
