As soon as we booked our venue, the next vendor we booked was Leah. We got engaged in an unprecedented pandemic (aka June 2020) and were looking to plan a wedding and get married with fingers crossed that our wedding would actually happen. Cue Leah. She was the first planner that came up in my research that I loved on paper – diverse clients, perfect reviews, a detail oriented ex-lawyer, and literal pops of color in her events to boot. As soon as we did meet with her virtually, we know she was the one. She was kind, professional, and totally understood my vibe and the type of event we were looking for. Even with all the pandemic uncertainty, she took us on for a full two years later (October 2022). Throughout the planning process, she provided a ton of helpful tips, checklists, vendor suggestions, and general expertise. She never thought any of our questions were silly and she was THE most responsive vendor we had, hands down. In the few months lead up to our wedding she handled all of our vendors, coordinated everything, and came up with our comprehensive day of plan. Leah did everything to make things less stressful for us and super clear about what was needed from us. The day of our wedding, I was SO relaxed. Leah’s thoroughness, professionalism, and calm ‘I got this’ attitude left nothing for me to worry about. Our vendors were all vendors that she suggested or have worked with her before and love her and I knew that if anything went wrong behind the scenes she would handle it. Before, during, and after the wedding we had people GUSHING to us about how much they loved Leah, how professional she was, how kind she was. Our wedding party loved her and she made everything super clear. We were actually AHEAD of schedule for the day. My husband and I talk about this often, but she was an absolute lifesaver, worth every penny, and hands down best decision we made. We love Leah and are only sad that we can’t get married 50 times over so we can work with Leah again!
Leah was integral to making our dream wedding a reality. She’s thorough, personable, positive and easy to work with. She’s on top of her emails to answer any questions you may have and always available for video chats. Leah has a robust network of elite vendors, many of them we went with for our wedding and were not disappointed. Leah definitely helps make the planning process easier. Having her allowed us to fully enjoy our wedding day, and live in the moment without stressing any of the logistics. Thanks Leah!
If you want to be fully present and enjoy every detail of your wedding day, do yourself a favor and hire Leah. As a super anxious planner with a specific vision for our wedding, going into the big day and knowing without a doubt that Leah had everything COMPLETELY covered was a dream come true. Aside from being an absolute wizard with day-of planning, Leah’s vendor connections are incredible. She took all of the stress and aimless searching out of hiring the right people (although picking vendors out of her amazing suggestions was HARD!). She’s a pro at checking and suggesting questions on vendor contracts, which is great for someone who does NOT speak legalese.
It also felt really good to know how important diversity is to Leah in creating an inclusive, rich and meaningful wedding experience. As a same-sex couple, we found it very touching how much she went out of her way to remove heteronormative language from the planning documents and to help us reconcile the traditional and untraditional elements that were meaningful to us.
Impossible to list all the great things about Leah!
I’d like to think that I provided the high-level inspiration for my wedding, but Leah definitely provided the brains and execution. We could not have pulled it off without her. She was a calming, exceedingly competent presence throughout the entire process. She never pressured us on our vision. She was reliable, organized, provided great advice and, most importantly to me, turned out to be a great creative partner. She also introduced us to a bunch of stellar vendors in the NYC area. I interviewed A LOT of planners. Leah was clearly the top of the cohort and I never regretted the decision to work with her. Strong recommend.
We simply could not have pulled off our beautiful wedding without Leah's planning expertise, vendor connections, and organizational wizardry! We knew we did not have the bandwidth to plan a wedding, given that neither one of us is particularly well-suited to event planning even in the best of non-pandemic circumstances. From our first interaction, when we were debating whether or not to even plan a 2021 wedding, she was sensitive, thoughtful, and, above all, honest. When we decided to work with her, we immediately felt like we could relax, knowing we were in more than capable hands. We relied on her to think of all the things that needed thinking of and to remember what needed remembering. She kept us on track while I was busy taking exams and graduating from grad school. She also helped corral other members of the family and was a voice of reason, reality, and sanity. Leah never judged us or pressured us to conform to wedding traditions or expectations that were not the right fit for us. She respected our priorities, and channeled our vision into a day that was more fun, beautiful and "us" than we imagined was possible.
Leah was a game changer in our wedding planning process. My (now) husband and I were starting to argue due to stress and frustration with our wedding planning. Like many people, we thought we could do it all ourselves (ha!).
After months of planning, we finally decided to seek the help of a professional and after meeting with Leah, we knew she was the right choice. We desperately needed her help to get us across the finish line and alleviate some of the pressure we were feeling. Only regret is that we didn't work with her the moment we got engaged! Despite our many spreadsheets, we could not have done it without Leah's diligence. Her timelines and to-do lists helped us stay sane and in control of the entire process.
The day of the wedding, she brought our vision to life and kept everything moving smoothly. Leah is great at what she does and we are forever grateful to her for helping make our wedding day the best day of our lives. We highly recommend her and her team!
It is hard to put into words the impact that Leah had on our wedding, but all I can say is that if you have the chance to work with her – do it. I always knew I wanted to work with a wedding planner because the idea of planning it myself, even under normal circumstances, was overwhelming to say the least. Little did I know that we would then have to postpone our entire wedding due to COVID. I cannot imagine doing that with anyone but Leah. She was calm and collected the whole time and walked us through the process step-by-step. She made sure to check in just to see how we were doing, even if we didn’t have anything wedding-related that we needed to discuss, and made it feel so much more manageable.
Leah has an amazing network of connections in the wedding industry, and you can’t go wrong with any of her referrals for vendors. Leah is bubbly, funny, smart and quick – and her legal background is immensely helpful with all of the contracts that need to be read, negotiated and signed in the process. If you are looking for a wedding planner, whether for full planning or just day-of, look no further than Leah.
My husband and I cannot thank Leah enough for the amazing job she did! We first met Leah via a video call and felt an instant connection and trust in her. Her naturally calm demeanor put us at ease and her organized approach made the entire process run smoothly – not just the wedding day but all of the meetings and planning leading up to it. Working closely with Leah you definitely feel that she is more than just your planner. She is your friend, your advocate, your problem solver, and your confidant. It is clear that Leah takes great pride what she does and it shined through to make our wedding truly memorable. We are both so grateful for all of her hard work and cannot recommend working with Leah highly enough.
Wow, we are *so glad* we chose Leah to be our wedding planner! Leah is thoughtful, thorough, organized, calm under pressure, and detail- and solutions-oriented. Leah carefully reviewed all of our vendor contracts, making fair recommendations on language changes given COVID to ensure we were protected. She also kept us on track with our to dos, provided budget analyses when we couldn't decide between vendors, and tapped into her professional networks when we needed insight on a vendor she hadn't worked with before. Leah really listened to us and understood our vision. Some planners may want to over-steer or control an event, but Leah never pushed us. When we did need her expert advice, she'd lay all our options on the table and help us think through the pros/cons of each (...and gently nudge us toward the right decision!).
Something that is special about Leah is that she leads with her values and infuses them into everything she does when planning. She treated vendors with the respect, kindness and care they deserve. She understood and agreed with our COVID concerns and helped us implement a comprehensive protocol to keep our guests and vendors safe. She would lead us away from selecting vendors that may have seemed great on paper, but she knew to be unpleasant behind-the-scenes. She was firm but entirely professional when mistakes were made. She fosters an inclusive environment. All of this was important to us when selecting a planner, and Leah delivered.
Planning a wedding is complex and stressful in normal times; in a pandemic, it's even more so. We couldn't have done it without Leah. Thank you for everything!!
Because of COVID, I had the pleasure of working with Leah to basically plan three weddings. Leah was absolutely wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend hiring her if you are planning a wedding. I was initially drawn to Leah because I loved her fun personal style, coupled up with a professional and no-nonsense attitude. From the start she was able to help me navigate the process of finding vendors that would bring our vision to life. Before hiring her I was overwhelmed by the number of choices and considerations, but she was able to understand what I was looking for, my budget, and then provide a narrow selection for me to then explore. She ended up helping me find a dream team of professionals. When it became clear that COVID was going to impact our original wedding day, she coordinated with all the vendors to find a new date a year out and handled coordination of all the new contracts required. During an already stressful and emotional time she took that burden off of my shoulders and I will be forever grateful for that. Fast forward nine more months, we decided to pivot from a 150 person wedding at 501 Union to a 35 person wedding at our apartment. She again was great at helping me think through all the considerations of this change and we were able to have an amazing and intimate wedding day (finally)! It was no small feat to transform our 1 bedroom apartment into a wedding venue, but she did it and the day went off without a hitch. I couldn't recommend her enough.
Simply said, Leah was the VIP of our wedding. She was professional, encouraging, organized—I really can’t string together enough kind things to say about her and her business. We had to postpone our wedding a year and she was instrumental in making our wedding come together when it finally could. Every step of the way she offered helpful reminders and tips, a skill that was particularly impressive and appreciated when COVID made us all throw the rule book out the window. I can’t recommend her more highly!
I think Leah (Color Pop Events) is just the best!! I gave Leah only 12 days to organize my wedding and she did an amazing job - above and beyond! My wife and I are forever grateful. Thanks so much!!
We cannot recommend Leah and Color Pop Events highly enough! We weren’t sure if we needed a wedding planner, but now we know that we couldn’t have had as smooth and relaxed of a wedding day as we had if it weren’t for her help. Leah takes such a burden off of your shoulders throughout the whole planning process. You never have to worry about whether you are behind schedule or if there is some detail you are not thinking of, because she is on top of all of it. She has a really wonderful way of listening to her clients and letting their preferences and vision come through, while also giving her expert advice when you need it. We never felt like she pushed us in one direction or another, but when we were stuck on something it was so helpful to have her there. She was very patient and sensitive as we worked through the Jewish traditions that we wanted to include in our ceremony and how to make that all possible. Leah also has a wonderful network of colleagues and makes excellent recommendations for all the other vendors you will need. We started working with Leah in the summer of 2019 for a September 2020 wedding and we certainly didn’t have any idea that COVID would upend our plans. Leah was so compassionate as we figured out how to revise our wedding plan to be pandemic-safe. We struggled with whether to postpone or cancel and she helped us think through the pros and cons, gave us a sense for what other clients were doing, and really helped to guide us through the decision. She was able to be sympathetic and give us the space we needed while also encouraging us to make decisions as the time grew closer. We ended up cancelling our big wedding and had a small backyard ceremony. We then had to essentially re-plan our wedding to fit that new plan, and Leah was totally calm and on top of it! Having her on our team was a true comfort and such a huge help throughout our whole process. Our wedding day felt truly relaxed and so happy - we knew we didn’t have to worry about any details or logistics because Leah would be on top of it! You will definitely not regret working with her.
Without a doubt, hiring Leah was by far the best decision that we made throughout our entire wedding process. I feel very fortunate that we were put in touch with her, and the best day of our lives wouldn't have been that way if not for her tireless efforts.
From day 1, Leah carried herself with a calm demeanor that put my wife and I at ease even when things were stressful. She's clearly skilled at her craft, with a great network of vendors to draw upon, an ability to execute on our plan, and a willingness to provide her guidance when we were straying from the path. She's also a great listener and was empathetic/understanding when a non-wedding related snag threatened to throw everything off. In the end, when the wedding day came, I didn't think about the logistics at all, even though we had A LOT of moving parts. This is an incredible testament to her ability to plan the day and manage everything to perfection. We just enjoyed the day and left all the work in Leah's capable hands.
I can't recommend Leah and Color Pop Events highly enough!
Do yourself a big favor and hire Leah!! Like right now.
As a photographer, I have worked with countless coordinators and I can honestly say she is as wonderful as they come. She has a magical way of keeping everyone and everything moving with ease throughout a wedding day and has an incredibly calming nature about her.
Leah is supportive, professional, and highly creative… but most importantly, she’s kind <3
Count yourself truly lucky if you have the opportunity to work with her (as a client or a vendor!). I recommend her to all of our couples and always look forward to collaborating with her!!
Trust me. You will love her, too ;)
If there's anything about mine and my husband's wedding that made me feel like I could relax, kick back and know all would be beautifully prepared, organized and on time it was Leah and Color Pop Events at the helm of the ship, so to speak.
Hiring her was an easy decision - our personal design styles are one in the same and she was easy to talk to and communicate with from the start.
Leah was able to help me plan my wedding "long distance" for a destination celebration. We had a really small guest list but a LOT of details to coordinate, florist flying in, moving pieces, etc. for a sizeable budget. She helped us manage it all seemlessly.
She was always a message away and I knew that I could count on her for advice when I had a question or was feeling unsure or for my sanity when family members were stressing me out!
On the wedding day, she was upbeat, professional and calm! I was so happy I could simply enjoy time with my girl friends and family, getting glammed up, knowing she was working her magic with her team at the event venue getting things ready for us to arrive.
She is THE best, worth every penny of investment and I would hire her again in a heartbeat!
Working with Leah was the best decision we made of the entire wedding experience. She is kind, attentive, organized, thoughtful, patient, and creative. The list could go on forever and I mean that. If you are considering hiring Leah, but not sure just yet, do it.
She offers great advice, connected us to the best vendors, kept me calm throughout the planning, and executive the day of perfectly.
All week, our married friends shared stories about not really remembering their wedding day, and about how it was over in a flash. They warned us to not sweat the small stuff because many things would inevitably go wrong. But none of this was our experience at all. As we reflected on our wedding weekend, we were so happy that we remember each moment, enjoyed each little element, and felt 100% secure that each detail was taken care of. If there were any metaphoric fires that needed to be put out, we never knew about them. Instead, we spent the entire day with huge smiles on our faces because as far as we were concerned, thanks to Leah, everything was perfect. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
I am so glad we decided to work with Leah for our wedding! She was incredibly organized, efficient, and has a fabulous network of vendors that she connected us with. My fiancé and I were not easy clients – the (surely frustrating) combo of being very detail oriented and totally indecisive - and Leah was somehow able to help guide us towards the choices that made us both happy. She indulged our whims, yet kept us in check when we were becoming too unrealistic. And above all else, she provides stability and emotional support in the many moments of stress that a wedding can create. Thank you Leah for everything!
“Planning our wedding was super easy and wasn’t stressful at all” – said literally no one ever
THIS is where Leah and Color Pop Events comes in. Leah was nothing less than a dream to work with over the past few months. It took a little bit of convincing to get my husband on board with hiring a planner, but working with Leah was hands-down one of the best decisions that we made. From our very first phone call all the way through to the last call for alcohol at our wedding, Leah was invaluable. She is responsive, professional, punctual, organized, cheerful, and funny. In all of our vendor meetings, Leah asked questions and made clarifications on things that we would have never even thought of. My husband and I wanted to have a non-traditional dinner format but didn’t have the slightest inkling on how to execute this, but Leah ensured that all logistics went off without a hitch. In the final days leading up to the wedding, Leah handled every last detail behind the scenes (seriously, our vendors never once came to me or my husband with a single logistical question), which allowed us to maximize time with family and friends. Speaking of vendors, Leah has a wonderful network and is incredibly connected to many amazing, local vendors (all of whom love working with her). I will forever by grateful to Leah for helping me navigate a not-so-great hair trial and finding an incredible hair stylist TWO WEEKS before the wedding.
Above all, Leah helped us stay calm and happy during the entire planning experience.
Planning a wedding is basically a full-time job and if your full time-job is anything but wedding planning, don’t think twice and hire Leah!
So I know a lot of the reviews on here are from brides and grooms, so this may be a little different coming from a wedding photographer, but as someone who has seen Leah & the Color Pop team from behind the scenes, work along side them and then get to attend a wedding they coordinated I just have to say say that they are simply unparalleled in their excellence, attention to detail, calm demeanor, creativity, and all around perfection. I met Leah years ago in some industry mixers and immediately was taken by her colorful clothes and vibrant personality, so I made it a point to work with her from then on. It took a while -- because she is so busy working with AMAZING couples and on the coolest styled shoots and speaking engagements around -- but when I finally got to shoot with her recently it was truly the dream I had always hoped it would be. I event then got to recommend her and see how Color Pop planned a dear friend's wedding at 501 Union. Leah wrangled together a million different ideas and details during a tri-continental planning process and handled everything with grace and gusto. The wedding itself kicked the ass of every other one I have ever attended, with everything going smoothly without it ever feeling stiff. She later told me of a few hiccups that guests brought into the day that she ironed out so that no guest or (more importantly) the couple ever noticed. Truly, she's a dream, so what are you waiting for and BOOK HER NOW. If she's still available that is!
Wow!! Leah did an amazing job planning and executing my daughter and her husband's dream wedding. From her patience, advice and counsel in the planning stages, vendor references, ongoing to-do lists, and no-nonsense execution on the day-of, everything appeared to run perfectly. She new exactly when to push them to make decisions, and when to step back. No one felt pressured, but everything got done. Her advice and support was priceless.
Leah (who is the owner & creative director) of Color Pop Events was the greatest resource a busy-bride could ask for in the months leading up to our wedding.
I found Color Pop Events through our wedding venue -501 Union in Brooklyn NY - as a preferred vendor, and I am so grateful to have found her.
We started our wedding planning process with her after already having a venue & date set...but everything else was up in the air!
During our first meeting together we made a game plan, set a budget, and then Leah provided us with a comprehensive checklist of things we needed to accomplish month by month in preparation for the big day.
One of my main reasons for hiring a wedding planner was to help me manage all of the details and coordinate all of the necessary vendors. Our venue had it's own staff to assist on the day of the wedding, but Leah was absolutely indispensable in the months leading up.
She helped us sort through our priorities in the context of our budget. She provided us with so many options for local and trusted vendors (florist, DJ, catering, party rentals, hair & makeup stylists, etc.). I knew I was in good hands when I reached out to some vendors on my own & they seemed genuinely pleased and excited to hear that my wedding planner was Color Pop Events because they "absolutely loved working with Leah" and they trusted her 100% with all of the important details.
Once the big decisions were made Leah took over setting up vendor meetings, reviewing contracts with us, and checking in regularly throughout the whole process to make sure we felt comfortable and happy with our progress. When it came to our wedding day she even stopped by our hotel just to check in and help us shake out the wedding day jitters before all of the rest of the vendors arrived!
The day after the wedding I sat down and wrote Leah a heart-felt thank you letter right away so I wouldn't forget any details and here it is:
"Dear Leah,
Thank you for taking care of me and my family during the most important day of my life thus far. I never thought I could be so moved by the beauty of 501 Union in all it's flowery glory. The music was pure magic and the dance floor felt joyously full all night. The food was beyond anything I could've dreamed of....it was way better than the tasting (which I didn't think was possible!) My only regret is that I didn't get to eat much of the food! The water, drinks & snacks you brought to the dressing room for us right after the ceremony was a lifesaver! It gave us a chance to catch our breaths after the first part of the big day was done & we actually got to eat!
My family was so impressed by how smoothly the day went and how it felt like we were being taken care of family members rather than hired professionals -you will always have a special place in our hearts. The vendors that you helped us discover truly made a night of memories I will cherish forever!!"
There you have it! As a 100% satisfied Brooklyn Bride, I highly recommend Leah & Color Pop Events if you want to truly enjoy your wedding day and leave the tough stuff to the pros :)
I honestly have no idea what we would have done, how we would have planned our wedding without Leah. Her excitement, ability to execute on our vision, organize and calm us through the entire process was truly only something she could have accomplished.
We had to bring in ever fork, knife, bathroom, garbage can and she handled all our vendors from identification to execution with absolute precision.
My husband and I worked with Leah over a 15+ month period, with times of lull and times of extreme anxiety, frustration, fear and confusion. She helped alleviate all negativity and made sure we focused on the positives, focused on the wedding, focused on getting married!
She is so committed in fact, that she met me at my office twice during the 10 days leading up to the wedding to help me with two issues that I had been obsessing over and frantic about. Leah has an incredibly calming presence, which was exactly what we needed.
When it came to designing the table scapes and helping to finalize the paper goods, she was able to turn my vision into a reality.
She was the mastermind behind our absolutely incredibly perfect day and for that I am eternally grateful.
i can't imagine having planned our wedding at 501 union without Leah. if you are getting married in a raw space where you have to bring in your own vendors, you need a wedding planner, and you would do well to have a wedding planner as organized and level-headed as Leah at Color Pop Events. she took time to get to know our aesthetic, then narrowed the sea of thousands of options to a very small, vetted handful for us to choose from. what we ended up with was a wedding that was truly and authentically us, while cutting out the stress and indecision that turn what should be an fun, happy time into an unpleasant process. our guests are still raving!
I remember speaking with several people when looking for a wedding planner and it was really hard to distinguish one from another... until I spoke with Leah. From the very beginning, it was clear that I was speaking with someone who was not only qualified and competent, but who really listened and understood the approach that we wanted to take toward planning our wedding. Leah made every aspect of planning easy: first sending us a selection of vendors who matched our style and vision perfectly, then kept us perfectly on track without feeling intrusive. The entire time she listened to our vague ideas and gave us useful feedback on how to make them come to life. She is also highly communicative and a great problem solver, coming to us with solutions rather than problems. I could be here all day writing about how wonderful she is and how I’d recommend her to anyone (everyone)! But most importantly, she’s a pleasure to be around and we felt perfectly comfortable and secure with our wedding in her hands. Needless to say, our wedding day was an absolute dream. We cannot thank you enough, Leah, for making a daunting experience so much fun. We will truly miss not seeing you around anymore!
When selecting a planner, Leah was the obvious choice for three main reasons. First, her down to earth and warm demeanor immediately made us comfortable and confident that she would be easy to get along with and be able to calm our planning anxieties. Other planners we interviewed seemed forced or overly bubbly. During interviews, other planners also made assumptions about what kind of wedding we wanted and how we'd use a planner, whereas Leah made it clear she was skilled at handling many different types of weddings and any vibe of couple.
The second reason we went with Leah was her experience dealing with queer weddings. She had the sensitivity and know-how to use appropriate language and ask the right questions. The third reason was how Leah packages her services. We liked that she offered a level of involvement that could save us some money and also allow for collaboration, rather than other planners who cost more and who seemed eager to take over.
We clearly made the right choice. Working with Leah was such a breeze, and made the whole planning experience SOOO much more comfortable. There were the practical benefits - connections with great vendors, creative ideas, keeping us on schedule. And then there were the emotional benefits - Leah was always on it behind the scenes, monitoring everything, helping to keep us calm, and intervening when the occasional vendor started to get on our nerves.
We couldn't recommend Leah enough. In those stressful pre-wedding months that come with juggling not just tasks but lots of people, it was amazing to have such a nice, competent woman in our corner!
I’m completely convinced that hiring Leah as your wedding planner basically 100% guarantees that your wedding will be the most flawless and magical day. I’m an extremely anxious and type A person so the fact that I was so completely calm the entire morning of my wedding day is something I credit entirely to Leah. There was nothing to worry about, because I knew she had coordinated everything perfectly. She was in communication with all of our many vendors and was making sure the whole day flowed smoothly without us even having to think. In my mind, that is the essence of the perfect wedding planner...not to mention the months (15 to be exact) of timelines, curated vendor recommendations, free therapy, and so much more that Leah provided along the way. We can’t thank Leah enough for the perfect wedding day!
Let’s get right to the point: hiring Leah to plan and execute our wedding was the best and most important decision we made. When it was all said and done, we could not have asked for a smoother experience and it’s all because of Leah. She is everything (and more) a person needs to be to handle such an important event. This review will not be able to completely do her justice but here are some of the reasons you should hire Leah:
- Receptive, thoughtful, and patient. This was especially important in the beginning. Leah was very supportive of our ideas and helped us develop them.
- Budget-conscious. She was great at being aware of our budget and would let us know if she thought we might be spending money on something that would be frivolous.
- Great advocate. When working with other vendors, you will have to sign many contracts. As long as Leah read it and approved, we felt confident that we were getting a good deal. And as a bonus, Leah was also a lawyer in a previous life!
- Calming, relaxing presence. Anytime we would be worried about something, she had a way of reassuring us we were on the right track. This became especially valuable the closer it got to the wedding day when tensions tend to run high.
- Great communicator. Not only would she be quick to respond to our many questions and concerns, but she was great at seeing past our worries and getting to the heart of what we were asking.
- Well-connected. There are many vendors involved in the execution of a wedding and everyone she knew and introduced us to were highly professional and the best in the business. You could tell they just loved working with her as we did.
We could not have imagined going through this experience without Leah by our side. The most important detail to sum up our experience working with Leah: our wedding weekend was incredible, all of our guests were raving about the event was and it was one of the best days of our lives.
Leah saved me from myself. I was thinking of planning my own wedding, which in hindsight, would’ve been a complete disaster. But instead of said disaster, we had a pretty amazing wedding with only 2 months of planning.
I found Leah on The Knot’s website, so while I almost never write reviews, in this case, the reviews I read helped me so much that I want to pay it forward for other brides (and the occasional groom who participates in the planning) to make sure they know how awesome she is too.
As a former corporate lawyer, Leah is extremely organized and responsive. But she’s also creative—both with ideas and solutions.
She was enthusiastic, kind, responsive, accommodating, communicative and ALWAYS CALM. She indulged my indecisiveness, while simultaneously making sure we stayed on schedule and never made me feel stressed out or overwhelmed.
Leah has extensive relationships in the industry and connected us with lots of other amazing vendors. Venues and wedding vendors love working with her, which made things incredibly easy and seamless for us. She took all the back-and-forth off my plate, handled all the logistics and meticulously planned our day-of schedule.
I’d come up with an idea and she would automatically take the step of connecting me with someone who could bring it to life. But she’s also conscientious—convincing me not to spend money unnecessarily and she she definitely talked me off the Amazon ledge—where I was basically spending all my time.
On the actual wedding day, I had a completely stress free and amazing time. She put out every fire, handled every “emergency” and directed all the moving parts without me even noticing. I basically just showed up and had a good time.
You should hire her now. And you can thank me later.
For everyone planning a wedding you know how stressful, confusing and overwhelming it can be. LEAH WAS AMAZING! She kept me sane, on track and gave me wonderful ideas and suggestions. I could not have made it through the wedding planning stages without her. Her guidance, counsel, encouragement and cheerful personality made the planning so much less stressful.
During the planning stages Leah put me in contact with wonderful and talented vendors making my invitations memorable and beautiful. She also helped me with knowing what were the right questions to ask of the vendors to ensure that I was ordering and most importantly paying for the correct amount of food and such.
On the day of she was EXCEPTIONAL! She handled every detail allowing me to enjoy the day without a single worry. Her quick thinking, cool demeanor and attention to detail made sure that even the biggest hiccups (like finding a power source on a beach after the generator broke) go smoothly! She kept us on time, on schedule and having a fantastic time!
Do not go and do this alone, you need a Leah, actually you need Leah and Color Pop Events because she will make your special day THE special day. It will be beautiful, wonderful and everything you could hope for. She will make sure that all those questions you didn't even know you should have get answered. That those unorganized thoughts and ideas you have are focused and made to come to fruition, in the most beautiful way.
Leah is amazing, wonderful, organized, thoughtful and creative. I am so happy that she was there to help me! And you will be too.
Married a month and Leah is still helping me wrap up some loose ends- that’s the type of planner you get! As soon as I was engaged, I struggled with if I wanted a wedding planner, a day-of coordinator, or no professional help at all, given that I tend to be an extremely organized person. Thankfully we knew each other from a past life and reconnected to prep he big day. In the end, I knew that I needed assistance because I was actually having back-to-back weddings (Fri & Sat) and that if I wanted the Saturday event to go off without a hitch, I needed some help. And help she did!
Leah was great at sending me vendor recommendations, like my my beautiful photographer, Cadence Kennedy Photography Collection, communicating and setting up calls/meetings with the vendors and removing a level of stress throughout the whole planning process. Her level-headed advice when I was stressed and needed to vent was on point and exactly what I needed to hear in the moment.
Although the wedding had more of a ‘traditional bridal’ color scheme, I did opt to go with metallic blue hi-top Reeboks, which I hope she appreciated as my ‘something blue’ and the pop of color I know she desires in all wedding planning (if she has her way!).
Leah, thank you for all of your hard work and expertise. You and Jackie did an awesome job the day-of and I couldn’t be happier with having you assist in making sure our big day went off without (many) hitches! <3
Leah is a magician, and for 5 months, was our rock, our coach and so much more. We found her halfway through our planning process, which meant we already had a venue, a partial vision and some vendors, but had no idea how to bring it all together. Leah immediately gave us a project timeline and got us on track prioritizing what was most important each month leading up to our celebration.
Our venue was very DIY and we were planning a 3-day Indian-Jewish wedding in the Catskills, with A LOT of moving parts. She never questioned our choices and was enormously supportive in finding ways to turn our complex vision into a reality. This meant managing many vendors, renting a lot of equipment and dealing with the complexities of being in a remote location.
Through it all, Leah maintained a calm (we don't know how she does it!), cool and collected attitude, which in turn kept us chill as could be. It's clear that Leah understands the psychology of weddings, and how nutty they can make people. Her ability to be simultaneously rational and creative was impressive.
We really appreciated how responsive she was over the course of working with her. Whenever a question or concern arose, we knew we could rely on her for wise counsel. She developed detailed schedules for each day of our wedding, and when it came time to execute, we had nothing to worry about because she was so on top of everything. Additionally, all of the vendors she recommended were fantastic, and all clearly love working with her. Her team was superb, too, and were really attentive to our needs during our wedding weekend.
What more could you want in a wedding planner?! We couldn't recommend Leah more highly!
HIRING LEAH + THE COLOR POP EVENTS TEAM WILL HANDS DOWN BE ***THE BEST*** DECISION YOU MAKE DURING YOUR WEDDING PLANNING PROCESS!!!! SERIOUSLY. Leah is simply the GREATEST. She receives our highest possible recommendation and we seriously cannot say enough wonderful things about her. Our wedding this summer was THE MOST epic and incredibly perfect ultimate love-bomb of a day and night. We are so grateful that we got to be 1000% blissfully in the moment at our wedding — just living and loving every second of it, because Leah and her team handled everything down to the very last detail absolutely SEAMLESSLY. #flawless #literally!!!
And we definitely did not have a simple wedding to coordinate. We got married at a venue in Brooklyn that required us to hire outside vendors for every category — which meant that Leah coordinated a multitude of different vendors for us (catering, florist, party rentals - including for furniture, table settings, linens, etc., DJ, photographers, ice cream truck, hair and makeup artists, hotel liaisons, just to name a few!!) — not only on the actual day of our wedding, but also for the 7+ months leading up to our wedding while we were working together (including our rehearsal and everything else in between).
We also ended up having a bunch of nutty little details planned (including a slightly crazy ombre-patterned layout for the napkins around each table) and Leah made sure that all of those little details were executed perfectly. In addition to managing all of our to-dos, she helped us stay on top of our budget and was clutch with helping us to save money where possible without sacrificing any of the things that we cared about.
It’s also extremely telling that every single vendor we worked with told us how lucky we were to working with Leah. Vendors repeatedly mentioned to us that our planning process was extremely smooth, which was entirely due to Leah’s excellent management and relationships within the industry (she is adored!!).
Our theory is that Leah is able to work all of her magic because she is actually a superhuman living among us (how lucky for us!!). But seriously, she is super organized and responsive and has superior problem solving abilities. But she definitely not just the Platonic ideal of a high-achieving “type-A person”-- she is so much more: so much fun(!!!), funny, enthusiastic and supportive. She also has the most calming presence and communication style .
Leah’s entire process was extremely personalized, tailored to our needs and preferences. She has an uncanny ability to read and relate to people, and we felt like she totally “got us” within the first minute of meeting her. Leah impressed us so much and made us so comfortable, we actually hired her on the spot despite thinking when we initially got engaged that we probably didn’t need a coordinator. The decision to hire Leah was the pivotal point in pulling off a wedding that exceeded our expectations and we’ll forever remember as the greatest day of our life.
This review really just skims the surface of what we have to say about Leah. She masterfully coordinated the most epic day imaginable for us and we will forever be grateful to her for all of the overwhelming care, extraordinary attention, genuine enthusiasm and love that she poured into our wedding. Leah is a magical rockstar coordinator and absolute gem of a person and we will rave about her forever!!!!!!!!!!!
Leah was awesome. I was all over the place with what look/vibe we wanted for the wedding. It went from cactus themed, to monstera leaves everywhere, to only greens, to rainbow streamer ceiling installation, to a starlit dance floor. Leah allowed me to bounce these ridiculous ideas off of her and she gave me honest feedback that led us to the most perfect look. She knew we were on a budget and helped us eliminate silly expenses that would go unnoticed. About 2 months leading up to the wedding, we handed everything over to her and didn't have to think about if the tent would be up, or if the florist knew when to get there to load in. Day of is where she really shined - we implemented Plan B due to rain and she made sure it went off without a hitch. We had the best time because she kept everything organized and we didn't have to worry about a thing. We for sure would recommend Leah!
I hired Leah as my day-of coordinator, but she ended up being so much more!!! My husband and I believe hiring Leah was the best decision we made in the wedding planning process. She immediately gave us an outline of all the things we need to do and always responded to my emails and questions promptly. She recommended great vendors to us and reviewed all of our contracts, which I found very helpful. A lot of the coordinators I talked to before working with Leah, many of whom came highly recommended, were unwilling to work with me until a few months before my wedding. Leah was the opposite - she was there for everything. She was also so great on our wedding day. When an extra guest arrived, she figured out how to seat them and took care of any other issues that arose (I'm not even aware of any issues, probably because Leah handled them). She also has such a great aesthetic, which was really helpful when I wasn't sure about color choices or decor. I cannot recommend her more and literally send her information to everyone I know planning a wedding in the New York area. Thanks so much, Leah!
We hired Leah a few months into planning our wedding without knowing quite what to expect. We were overwhelmed with all the coordination and the details and knew we needed someone to guide us through the process. Leah was amazing - she kept us organized, answered our questions, and most importantly, kept everything leading up to and on the day of our wedding running smoothly. Having Leah and her team there meant that not only did I not have to stress on my wedding, but neither did my mom nor my sisters/maids of honor. Not such an easy feat for my family! Leah was also a calming presence and always made me feel like my voice was heard, and my vision was respected. Hiring her was the best decision we could have made for what turned out to be the best night of our lives.
Leah was referred to us through a dear friend and it was the second best thing that ever happened to us (next to getting engaged!). Leah was a rockstar when it came to organizing, advising, and executing a big vision into a perfectly detailed and extraordinary wedding day. The back-and-forth communication she handled with all our vendors allowed our wedding process to feel seamless and stress-free, and her expertise was especially helpful when it came to combing two very different cultures into one epic celebration of love. No matter how many times I changed my mind, added more tasks (including a second ceremony!), and broke down about budget, Leah always kept me focused and positive, and she followed through on all her commitments - for that we will be forever grateful. Not only do I highly recommend Leah for any/all wedding planning needs, but I offer 5 stars for her endless dedication and genuine excitement for our overall happiness as a couple.
Leah was wonderful to work with. Organized, great instincts and aesthetic. She managed all the vendors and us with grace and good-will. It was raining on our wedding day and a last minute decision needed to be made about the ceremony. She made the right call, and we didn't have to worry about a thing.
Simply the best! From the moment I spoke with Leah, I knew she would be a valuable asset to our wedding planning team! She is fun, personable, and super creative, which was exactly what we were looking for. We hired her immediately as our day-of-planner, but little did we know that she would go above and beyond her day-of duties and save our wedding day!
The weather did not cooperate the day of our wedding. We had 40+ mph winds and torrential rain. We also had an outdoor cocktail party and partially-tented reception planned for 180 guests. At 10am, while I was getting my hair done, I got a call from Leah letting me know the venue canceled the use of the tent, but “not to panic” she would have everything under control. Ironically, I didn’t panic, because I trusted Leah so much that I knew she would plan something that kept our vision alive!
Well I was right! When I arrived to the church, Leah informed me of all the changes that were going to take place including, the rooftop cocktail hour would be moved to the foyer of the hotel, the assigned-seated dinner would became a cocktail-style (something that we originally wanted, but got nervous our guests wouldn’t like), and the new layout for the food stations and photo booth. Everything seemed great, and when we arrived to the venue, we were shocked to see how she transformed one plan to another in a matter of hours, but still had our ideas, and most importantly, us, in mind.
In addition to the weather, there were multiple issues that arose throughout the night. Leah took care of every single one of them without burdening us. At the end of the night, Leah did not stop being our planner. She took the initiative to meet with our vendors afterwards to discuss the issues that we experienced to ensure that we left as happy clients.
We are so grateful for everything Leah did for us before, during, and after our wedding! She truly cares about her clients and no matter what circumstances arrive, she goes out of her way to ensure the couple has the wedding day they dreamed of!
My husband and I will forever be grateful for the work Leah did for our wedding this year. Leah is brilliant and organized, calm and professional, but she is also hilarious and so much fun to work with! We decided to look for a wedding planner after first trying to plan our wedding on our own. We quickly realized that this was no task for us alone and as soon as we spoke with Leah we knew that she would be the one to help us plan the wedding weekend we hoped for. Leah is well connected and knows many different people and places that suit a wide variety of tastes and visions. She was patient and full of great ideas as we worked through finding a beautiful venue that met all of needs and fantastic venders that matched our vibe and working style. She helped us to both hone in on our vision for our celebration as well as stay calm through the process so we could really enjoy every moment. She is generous with her time and made herself available to meet us in person to work out details or to join us in vender meetings, which was a great comfort during the more hectic moments. She is also incredibly thoughtful, remembering graduations and trips we were taking and providing wisdom when wedding-related tensions arose. Leah is an incredible woman and conducts her business with the utmost kindness and class. She and her team created a space for us to enjoy the weekend with our families while they executed all events smoothly and with attention to every detail. I love Leah, and as other have said, I am so glad that she is now my friend.
How do you write a review for the person who made planning your wedding stress-free and fun?! Leah was incredible. She was organized, hard working, professional, communicative, supportive and fun. She acted as a sounding-board, an advocate, and a teammate. We could not recommend anyone more highly for anything.
Leah was completely instrumental in helping me pull off the wedding I had been dreaming about since long before I met my husband. I had a very specific and original vision which was unlike any wedding I have ever been to or seen and she was able to to help me create exactly what I wanted. From the moment I saw her website with pictures of her own amazing wedding I knew she was the only wedding planner for me. She came to our initial meeting with stationary samples from the person I ended up hiring to design all our paper goods as well as our website. Leah would narrow down the endless lists vendors and present us with her top 2 or 3 she knew could implement our vision. We got our event designer, stationer and hair/makeup artist through her. She was present at our tasting, both first and final walk through of the space, multiple face to face meetings as the big day got closer, and was always available over email and phone from the moment she was hired. Her day of timeline for every single person involved in the wedding was an organized person's dream come true. She helped facilitate all the special moments during the wedding including helping me to incorporate and surprise my husband with a cappuccino artist which required both extra work as well as discretion. Most importantly she helped me make my vision come to life and was there every step of the way to ensure we had the best day ever.
Leah was absolutely incredible - we simply can't say enough nice things about her! She was organized, responsive, helpful, and incredibly warm and caring throughout the entire planning process. She helped us break down the overwhelming task of planning a wedding into manageable chunks, and helped navigate us through the entire process of vendor selection. On top of that, she's also just a fun person to hang out with! We actually looked forward to our meetings with her, knowing they would be both productive and fun.
Leah was such a crucial part of pulling off this day. I honestly don't know how we could have done it without her. Her organization and attention to detail was absolutely crucial to making things go off smoothly.
Hire Leah as your planner - you won't regret it!
Leah and her team were so incredibly easy to work with and made my wedding an incredible, stress-free experience. We got Leah on board about halfway through wedding planning, when we realized that we were in a bit over our heads with our venue (the Museum of Moving Image) that required us to bring in and set up every detail. At the first meeting Leah immediately put me at ease and the next morning I received a detailed, personalized checklist. I knew right then that she was going to be amazing. Throughout the planning process, she was in constant contact. She organized every detail into a timeline, which constantly evolved as the date got closer. Every single one of our vendors commented on how easy Leah was to work with and how great of a job she did. For the day of, Leah had another wedding and one of her co-planners was present for our event. We knew from the beginning that Leah could not personally be present on the day of the event and trusted that the people she works with would be of the same caliber with the same attention to detail. We were not disappointed - although Leah was not physically present she was responsive when vendors had last minute questions, and her co-planner seamlessly choreographed our event. After the night, my husband said it best in that the planner was always around when we needed her or had a question but was never obtrusive. I highly recommend Leah and her team . After the first meeting you will wonder why you waited so long and how you ever could have done any planning without her!
I really don't know how I could ever sum up working with Leah in a simple, concise review - but I am going to try my hardest. Leah was actually the only wedding planner we met with. But that is all you need with her. It took about 48 seconds for us to know she was the only human that could tolerate our obnoxious personalities & silly jokes. We are a very nontraditional couple with very nontraditional careers & nontraditional families — and none of this even made her flinch. Planning a wedding is probably the most daunting task I could have ever imagined and within weeks of hiring her we felt not only felt organized but calm. Leah will send you all the information, plan meetings, lead phone calls — she does everything that a planner should do on paper — BUT some of her greatest assets are not things you can find in a portfolio. She listens and is thoughtful. She is totally honest when you need it most. And she’s creative! She contributes to your ideas and completely transforms about 2874 thoughts in your head and creates a tangible reality. Above all, planning a wedding with Leah is FUN! I will never forget the nights we spent laughing with her and the warmth she gave us. I mean, she truly is just the best. She was an amazing planner. But in the end she became our friend. Hire Leah, because weddings are insanely overwhelming and making friends in NYC is hard. If you’re as lucky as we are you will have had the greatest night of your adult life & a new best friend.
My husband and I came across Leah's website while browsing wedding planners on a trip to Portugal after recently getting engaged (we're not usually "those people" but hey, we were excited!). We wanted to do our research so we spent some time looking around and making phone calls to other planners, but something about Leah's style (not to mention stellar reviews!) just kept drawing us back in. We met with her shortly after and hired her on the spot. Best decision we ever made. Leah is cool, calm and collected while simultaneously being impossibly organized and responsible (there wasn't a single email of mine she didn't respond to or silly question left unanswered). I am awful at making decisions and she was so patient throughout the process, never judging or making us feel like we were difficult to work with. Everyone in the business who knows her cannot say enough great things about her. She's truly a professional, and equally importantly a sweet and very kind person. So much so that she even helped a friend of mine review a contract for one of her clients (completely unrelated to wedding planning) - and trust me, it was not because she didn't have enough to do! As an FYI, she's a former practicing attorney, which definitely comes in handy when reviewing vendor contracts!
Leah is incredible and for anyone looking for a planner or a month-of coordinator, I cannot recommend her highly enough. About two months into the planning process I was telling everyone that I couldn't have done this without her (the venue search alone was very daunting and having Leah put together for us a list of 20+ venues was such a helpful starting point) and this sentiment only grew stronger throughout the process. After my wedding, seeing how much coordination and work there is required on the day-of (beyond what the venue coordinator must handle), I feel like it wouldn't have been as amazing or seamless without her (really!). To echo all of the reviews I read before - HIRE LEAH!!!
I cannot say enough great things about Leah!
So, I am someone who is very organized and knows their mind. In fact, people (my mother in particular) were surprised I even wanted a month-of coordinator. Everyone assumed that because I was so hands-on and having a local wedding that I would want to do it all myself. And for the most part I did, but I knew I'd need some help, especially in the last crazy month.
From my first moment with Leah I knew she'd be someone who got me, and was calming but not annoyingly so. She got it without losing her head. She also had great style and I knew she got my vision.
And while she was my month-of coordinator, she did help me through the whole process. While I did plan most of my wedding, I know she'd be a great complete planner as well and she was always there if I needed advice or suggestions. She also checked in regularly and never made me feel like I was on my own.
I did go slightly crazy towards the end of the planning process and she really helped calm me down in that final month. She took the reins and made sure all my hard work paid off. By the end I was telling people I only trusted myself and Leah!
She created a detailed and comprehensive checklist that helped me along the way, she contacted all my vendors (who said she was a pleasure to work with), she created day of time-line that made the whole process run smoothly, she kept my mom in check :), she gave me advice when I asked, and left me alone when she saw I didn't want any, and she kept the whole day running like clockwork.
If you need a planner, hire Leah at Color Pop Events, if you don't think you need a planner, hire Leah at Color Pop Events. She's great and my entire family thought so as well. I'll miss working with her! And I can't recommend her enough!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about working with Leah-- so I'll illustrate how wonderful she was by one example. On the day of my wedding, my florist delivered a bridal bouquet that was worlds apart from what we had discussed and completely wrong. The representative from the florist shop was less than cordial about the entire thing and responded to my request to have to bouquet corrected with "let's not get crazy". This is hardly an appropriate response to give a bride on her wedding day. Luckily Leah stepped in and took control of the situation and dealt expertly (and most importatly took the situation out of the bridal suite) to ensure that the florist understood that their approach to the situation and their final product was unacceptable. Leah made sure that the proper steps were taken to correct the bouquet and gave direction to the florist as he instructed his assistant, who was sent to the flower market, to make sure the bouquet came as close to being correct as possible and bringing me flower choices to the bridal suite to be sure that what was being purchased was correct and exactly what I wanted. This example is something that I personally think separates out the average wedding planners from the extraordinary ones— of which Leah is clearly a part of the latter.
Leah's poise, humor, and ability to take control of a situation that very easily could have gone south, made her indispensable that day. On top of this one particular example, Leah ensured that the flow of the day was a smooth as possible and put my mind at ease from the beginning of the day until the last guest left. Amazing talent and an easy-going nature meets a keen eye for details and planning in Leah and Color Pop Events.
We found ourselves in a pinch when we had to fire our wedding planner 3 mths before the wedding. Someone recommended Leah to us and she was such a life saver! She's incredibly organized, creative, responsive and absolutely got our wedding on track, kept us there and ensured that the day went off without any issues at all! She gave us and our parents a piece of mind that she "had it all under control", which was all we could ask for. I should also mention that she's just a good person, always has a smile on her face and is very warm. Highly recommend her!
I am having a hard time figuring out how to start this review. Where can I start when Leah did so much of everything??? She came to meetings to help me pick out table cloths, she was always so calm in the midst of all the craziness, she thought of things I wouldn't have dreamed to consider, she helped me not get carried away and not stress over things that didn't matter, she told me when things were unnecessary or totally necessary. Having Leah help me with my wedding was like having a great friend with amazing taste who knows everything about weddings and will happily go to bat for you on anything. If Leah wasn't there, I feel like my wedding would have been a jumble of 50 really great ideas that had nothing to do with one another (read: a huge mess)! She helped pull it together, she helped make sure the day ran smoothly, she made sure I stopped and enjoyed it. Her being there meant I could enjoy it. Besides marrying my husband, hiring Leah was the best decision I made. In addition to being there the day of the wedding, she was my go-to leading up to it. I couldn't decide on bridesmaids dresses and saw a pic of one I liked on Pinterest. She hunted down the photographer in Australia and found out the name and make of the dresses, in two days!!! I had no idea that could even be done. She is amazing! Truly absolutely amazing. Having Leah on your team is like having an ace up your sleeve no matter what game you are playing. She is knowledgeable, organized, calm, patient, and just the sweetest person. I really don't know what I would have done without her. She made my wedding awesome and having her there meant I could enjoy it without a care in the world. What more could you ask for?
I was definitely the girl who did not think she needed a wedding planner. Man, was I wrong. Leah from Color Pop Events gave me guidance and much needed assurance throughout the whole process. I truly believe my wedding day was the most fun I've ever had solely because I had utmost faith in her and trusted her to make decisions while I was too busy on the dance floor. Ladies, I get it. We think we've got it covered. But as you get closer to the big day, you will want to sit back and actually enjoy all the fruits of your labor. I did not want to think about anything wedding related the week of except hanging out and spending time with all the people that took time out of their lives to celebrate mine. That's really when Leah's vision and attention to detail will be invaluable. When you're sipping champagne with your friends, just as it should be :)
I have never felt better guided in a project, personal or career, than I did with Leah and Color Pop Events. Leah was our "Month Of" coordinator and it was the wisest money spent on our wedding. We are two Grooms and we had specific ideas for a non-traditional ceremony and she took all of them to the next level. When analysis paralysis set in, or we chased ideas down crazy rabbit trails, she guided us through and brought us back to focus with grace and a big smile. On the big day, we just went to our wedding and didn’t think about a thing.
Leah was a rockstar!
Leah worked with all our vendors (photographers, dj, flowers, etc..) starting about 2 months from the date of our wedding to coordinate timing. She was in constant contact with us and whenever we had a question or an issue she would respond right away. On the day of the wedding she was there coordinating all the big moments behind the scene (special dances, speeches, tipping the vendors). On top of it all she is a wonderful person! We really enjoyed having her there and spending time with us throughout the whole process.
I have no doubt that without Leah our wedding day would not have gone as smooth. I would recommend her as a planner in a heartbeat.
Leah Weinberg did an amazing job as our month-of coordinator. She is not only a phenomenal person -- funny, sweet and patient -- but Leah (and her assistant) did a literally flawless job of helping us pull off a pretty unconventional wedding. We had our ceremony at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, and there were several DIY moving parts (from the music, to videos, to the arrangement of film-centric favors and design elements throughout the venue). Even though we put a lot on Leah's plate, she never complained. And she never tried to steer us in a direction that we didn't want to go in, executing our game plan better than we could have ever dreamed.
We were wary of taking on a planner, because we had a very distinct vision for our wedding that we didn't want to deviate too far from, but Leah wound up being the perfect fit. In ways both large and small, she kicked up our event by several notches. We can't praise her enough. We adore her and the work she did for us. And you will too -- hire her!
We were so incredibly grateful for Leah! She was the most amazing planner and friend during our entire process. From the start, she was the calm in our wedding frenzy - and that never changed. We had quite a few day-of challenges due to weather, a plethora of vendors, and things outside of our control and she handled everything like a true professional and managed to still give us the closest to our dream wedding we could hope for!
When we were sitting at the reception, looking out - and even before that - when I walked in to our venue and saw the gorgeous way she paid attention to the set up of the entry table - exactly to my specifications - I was thrilled we had chosen her.
She was flexible and steady and I seriously will never be able to thank her and her team enough.
Leah was a breeeeeze to work with and made wedding planning MUCH less stressful and I felt 100% comfortable with her running the show on the wedding day. Many people remarked to me how calm I was on my wedding day, particularly when they know I am quite detail-oriented and crazy, and I attribute that totally to Leah. I had sort of prepared myself for something to be messed up on the actual day, but everything was totalllllly perfect. I was beyond pleased. I found out later about all the things that she did behind the scenes, but I had no idea the day-of, which is exactly how it should be!! My only regret was not hiring her earlier in the planning process
Leah is friendly, lovely, and SO organized! She has a calm and quiet demeanor, a sparkle in her eye, and was so receptive, and attentive, to our requests, needs, and anxieties about things big and small for our wedding celebration. I didn't need a month-of coordinator, but only someone to take final logistics (and anxieties!) off of my back; I didn't love the idea of having a coordinator, for budget reasons and also because I consider myself no-frills, capable, and don't buy into the whole wedding industrial complex. But I am SO THANKFUL and glad we hired Leah. It was worth every penny plus some. She had no presumptions about what our needs would be but left no stone uncovered: her lists were incredible, and we wittled them down and added to them. When there was a glitch with our caterer, she assured me it would be fine, which allowed me to let it go, and indeed it was. No words can express my gratitude for people who are good at their jobs - and Leah is the best.
Thanks to Leah, I was able to relax and enjoy my wedding day to the fullest extent. I hired Leah, owner of Color Pop events, to provide day-of wedding coordination for my September wedding in Brooklyn, NY after a Skype session where she instantly put me at ease with her professionalism, cool confidence and calm demeanor. I was initially unsure whether hiring a wedding planner was necessary - in retrospect I would have been crazy not to. I cannot overstate the value of having had Leah there on the day to field inevitable last minute issues (eg: one of the groomsmen arrived without a tie - Leah promptly arranged a tie for him. The groom's brother almost chickened out from giving his toast - thankfully, unbeknownst to me at the time - Leah calmly told him he had 10 minutes to decide and he went on as planned). I heard from multiple people in the wedding party, including my parents, how professional and on top of everything Leah was the entire night. Not to mention all of Leah's fabulous follow-up the month prior: ensuring the timeline was exactly as I wanted it (foreseeing details that I never would have thought to consider), giving advice on timing, floorplan, and contacting all of my vendors to make sure everything would flow according to schedule on the day. Last but not least, Leah is just enjoyable to work with. She always has a smile on and really embodies her company's namesake (my bridesmaids loved that they could easily spot her throughout the evening by her bright pink flats!!) Leah's company feels very much up-and-coming on the NY wedding planning scene and I just feel lucky I got to work with her early on. Also, I felt the value was excellent for the quality of services offered. Don't think twice to hire her if you're looking for an excellent day-of planner!
If my best friend was looking for a wedding planner, I would recommend Leah from Color Pop Events in a hot second. She is everything you want in a planner: responsive, organized, warm, creative, and professional, with incredible taste. As just one example: We thought we could plan our wedding on our own, but realized very quickly that we were in over our heads already with the venue search. I emailed Leah in a panic, and she swooped in and (a) reassured me that there was a venue out there for me & made me feel less crazy, and (b) within an hour offered up 15+ ideas for venues that I would NEVER have thought of & that totally fit our vibe. In that situation and all others, I always felt 100% confident that she respected our budget and supported our desires, and would do everything possible to make what we wanted happen. In short, Leah is just the best -- every vendor we met said something along the lines of "We LOVE working with Leah!!!" -- and when other vendors say that, you know it's true, because they see everything ;) . I will recommend her in a heartbeat to every friend who gets engaged!
