Our approach to weddings is more laid back than your stereotypical wedding planner. Humor is our go-to superpower for keeping things light and fun throughout the process! We will always give you our opinion and suggestions but will ultimately support you in whatever decision you and your fiance make. Our goal is to give you all of the information and potential scenarios so you can make the most informed decisions for your day!
We coordinate a variety of wedding styles and cultural backgrounds, however, many of our clients describe their wedding style as natural, organic, and timeless. Our clients are primarily focused on having a memorable wedding day and celebrating their partnership with their closest friends and family. They are less focused on spending exorbitant amounts of money on fleeting details and more concerned with investing in the quality vendors and the details that impact their wedding experience.

Michaela was amazing! From the beginning of reaching out to inquire about her services, she was very thorough and helpful. She answered every question I had and made me feel very comfortable so it was an easy decision to hire her for our wedding! She made our wedding day enjoyable because we knew we were in great hands and she took care of everything. Everyone loved her!! She was a great investment for our wedding. Our wedding was at a private estate during a pandemic, which poses its own challenges in itself. Communication really got started about 2 months before before the wedding day; however, we opted for the 6 month day of coordination package. Didn’t feel super supported until 2-3 months out from wedding. And hour late for rehearsal. Wedding day presented many challenges, weather, catering, etc. but there were some oversights that definitely should not have been missed.
Michaela is a very knowledgeable and friendly coordinator and was very nice.
It was such a blessing to have Michaela by our side while wedding planning during a pandemic! She was sweet, professional, organized and has the best, classy taste. Everything for our big day was perfect. Michaela has a list of suggested preferred vendors that she trusts which was a huge help in selecting the perfect wedding vendor team. I appreciated this so much as she narrowed down the best of the best in a sea of wedding vendors that can be very overwhelming. There are so many helpful tools that she provided us with such as a super detailed wedding check list, budgeting spreadsheet as well as keeping all of our contracts organized in a shared folder. She was there every step of the way with honest feedback and advice. The big day went smoothly as Michaela made sure every detail was perfect. My fiancé spent months trying to convince me we needed a wedding planner. I personally felt like we had it down, we had templates, we could manage on our own. That could not have been further from the truth. We had a consult with Michaela and I was sold. You’re not going to find anyone else who is as dedicated to making sure your day runs as smoothly as possible. We unfortunately had to postpone our wedding due to COVID. Aside, from family, Michaela was one of the first people there to reach out to help us navigate all of the confusion and disappointment. Part of that yes, it’s her job, but it’s also the type of person she is. She’s there rain or shine, trouble or perfection, with a smile on her face because she cares, and she cares deeply. Going into this new year I could not imagine having anyone else help with our special day.
My wife and I do not have enough good things to say about Michaela! First off, when first speaking to her, she immediately put our minds and hearts at ease regarding the planning process. Her confidence did not waiver throughout the COVID 19 pandemic and went above and beyond to ensure that we had the wedding we envisioned. Michaela was a crucial part to us maintaining our sanity during the weeks leading up to our big day. We know, without a doubt, Michaela was a massive (seriously huge) part of the wedding going so perfectly. We are so grateful to have had Michaela’s positivity, knowledge, and cool calm demeanor to get us through and could not recommend her more!
As the Mother of the Bride during COVID 19
stressors, let’s just say that the emotions of many guests/parents were high and trying to manage them as a buffer so the bride and groom did not took a bit of energy and effort.
Thankfully, the vendors had already been selected for my daughter’s wedding...but then it was postponed. Three weeks before the original wedding date the bride and groom decided to go forward with a much smallerwedding which nevertheless still required last minute planning and coordination. Luckily, my daughter had chosen Michaela to run the show months prior. Michaela was very confident in the planning and execution and also eased my concerns as well. She is very familiar with the venue as she has worked at Callaway Vineyard many times and had great relationships there. Even for a small wedding, a rehearsal is important so everyone knows where to be and when and Michaela took full charge of direction and guidance with ease, wit and grace. Even though the cast of characters were small in numbers there was so much going on that weekend. Michaela stayed at least one step ahead of what needed to be done and on the day of the wedding I was buffeted from any kind of questions like what, when or how. I was so thoroughly enjoying the wedding day in every aspect of every moment thanks to Michaela’s leadership handling hiccups that inevitabley happen. She is so competent that I did not hear one minor murmur of misstep by a vendor until the day after. I am forever grateful that Michaela was chosen by my daughter and son-in-law to helm this ship as I’ve heard some nightmare stories from my friends’ daughters’ wedding day marred memories. My memory will always be of a wedding perfect in beauty, romance and intimacy and delivered so much hope and love in such a year as this.
I knew I wanted a planner/coordinator to make sure everything ran smooth, however I could not have predicted the mess that this year turned into, and let me tell ya Michaela was a god send. As far as the pre wedding planning phase, we had our bartender back out about a month before the wedding. Before I even saw the email from the bartender, I had a text and email from Michaela saying one of her favorite bartenders was available for our date and she was in process of getting a quote. She also coordinated getting all the vendors to the venue and created a timeline, which was so helpful. On the day of we are still not sure if anything went wrong because if it did it was handled before it ever got to us. Our wedding was perfect and I know Michaela had a huge hand in that! Planning a wedding is stressful, planning a wedding in a pandemic is way stressful, I am not sure if I would have made it through this process without Michaela.
During a truly turbulent year, Michaela was such a force of calm for my fiancee and I. She is highly organized, communicative, and professional. She's incredibly flexible and can quickly make changes as they come. More than anything she's a genuinely kind and warm person, which is exact the kind of person you want standing beside you on your wedding day. I would recommend Michaela over and over again!
Michaela was a saint! Our wedding was supposed to be in April of 2020 (yes, mid-COVID chaos!). She was super helpful and professional about rescheduling and replanning our wedding....multiple times.
Michaela is a very easy-going wedding planner, perfect for our approach to wedding planning. I cannot recommend her enough for the couple that wants a beautiful, worry-free wedding.
When I found Michaela and decided to go with her for our wedding it was January 2020, before any of the craziness of the rest of the year started. After speaking on the phone, I found our personalities just meshed so well and her vision and attitude being so bright and positive was exactly the kind of energy we were looking for (not to mention her extensive experience and knowledge of our venue - Callaway Vineyard and Winery). As 2020 progressed and the world changed she made sure to keep us informed of what was happening, what other couples were doing and reassured us that no matter what happened it would be ok and everything would work out. We decided to postpone and then changed our minds again and decided to go through with a minimony one month before our wedding. This curve ball did not phase Michaela one bit. She jumped in feet first and helped us navigate the stress and details of changing a 140 person wedding into a 24 person wedding in 3 weeks. It ended up being the best decision we made (besides hiring Michaela). We had the most perfect day and she helped our vision come to life. I honestly had no stress or worries day of, and neither did the bridal party or parents. If there is one piece of advice I would give a future bride, it would be to hire Michaela! Thank you for making our day so special!
Michaela was so great! I'm so glad we hired her! I was on the fence about hiring a coordinator, but I am SOOO glad we did. I found Michaela through our photographer and it worked out great because they are friends are work together frequently. There are ALOT of details that as a bride (unless you've been in a lot of weddings or planned on before) you don't even think about. I was a covid bride and had to deal with postponing our wedding and was in constant stress for 6 months straight. It was exhausting and absolutely awful. I was definitely grateful for Michaela's help with all the craziness throughout our wedding process. Our wedding night was amazing! & we were so glad we had Michaela there! Would definitely recommend :)

We found Michaela through Instagram when looking for coordinators in Temecula, CA and we were impressed by her sleek website, great reviews and her overall style. Everything was absolutely seamless from our first call, meeting in person through to the end of the wedding night. You are in great hands with Michaela, not only is she incredibly organized and responsive, she gives you guidance when you need it and really partners with you to put your vision into reality. If you’re asking yourself...do I even need a wedding planner/day of coordinator? YES absolutely YES!!! And since you’re reading this review no joke you have selected the right one! Michaela at Compass Design Events is straight up the bomb!!! You will love her!! She is extremely organized, professional, has excellent advice, not to mention she is the sweetest ever! She was available to me anytime I needed her. Months and days leading up to the wedding I had timelines, vendor set up times, map of venue for ceremony and reception space with tables organized how everything would be set up. Every single detail organized on paper.
On rehearsal day she was great moving my bridal party around. (especially the groomsmen!) Had a print out of the timeline for the day. On wedding day she was calm and collected and assured me everything was going to be great. I was honestly stress free! I knew everything was going to run smoothly because of her preparation and it did!
Honestly it’s such a big day for both the Bride and Groom. So much time and money goes into planning this one day. It goes by in a flash (seriously) and you as a Bride want to enjoy EVERY second of it! No stress, just happiness! Hire the right professionals to take care of the stressful parts of your wedding! I was one of those brides who didn't think I needed a coordinator, especially since my venue also came with one to help handle the site and catering staff. I thought that since I was so organized, had already planned the timeline and had limited vendors and decor items, it was something that could have been manageable. However, for peace of mind, and to not have to rope friends and family in to help deal with all the moving pieces, I am so grateful we elected to spend the money on the coordinator. Michaela was worth every penny for the last minute vendor communication, elements that change out of my control (including weather), and handling all day of decor and clean up. We were in a fog of details the last couple days and it was nice to relax on the wedding day and know that it would all be handled. She was communicative leading up to the wedding, familiar with many vendors in the Temecula area, and generally pleasant to work with. All our guests and wedding party even made a note of how attentive and helpful she was and the rehearsal and on wedding day- working very hard in 93 degree heat and lots of wind! Our day was perfect and I know part of that is because of Michaela's excellent execution.
My wedding weekend was the most magical weekend of my life and that is in large part to our INCREDIBLE wedding planner, Michaela Texidor with Compass Design Events. It has been about a week since our wedding and not a day goes by that we don't remark how absolutely wonderful, fun, perfect, and smooth our special day was!
I happened to find Michaela by chance via Instagram about a year before our wedding date and it was the best thing that could have happened. I inquired about her services and she was very prompt with her responses. We set up a phone call to review exactly what I was looking for in a planner and for my wedding experience. She was the absolute sweetest and was very honest, which I loved. Needless to say I was hooked and could immediately sense that my wedding was going to be in GREAT hands. During our first in person meeting Michaela took the time to get to know my husband and I and really listened to what we envisioned for our big day. With not living very close to the venue we chose, I had no idea where to begin when it came to choosing vendors. Michaela was very helpful in finding us the best vendors that fit with our personalities and fulfilled what we valued most. She was very honest about each vendor she recommended with pros and cons for each so we could make the best possible choice on who we wanted to hire. Michaela handled the communication with each vendor we hired including our venue and even created individual timelines specific to each vendor for the day of...like WOW! She provides planning tools along with a professional wedding planing site that kept us on time and organized throughout the entire process. From budgeting tools to timelines to inspirational boards and so much mores, the planning tools she provides are top notch.
While all of the above mentioned was fantastic and very helpful, words can’t even begin to express the VALUE of having her there the day of. Venue coordinators are great, but they are on the venues team, while Michaela is on your team and does what is in your best interest as the Bride and Groom. Her attention to detail is impeccable and knowing that she had everything under control allowed me to stay calm, enjoy and be present throughout the entire day. She even made sure we were able to actually eat!! YAYY! I will forever be grateful for her hard work, Michaela truly goes above and beyond and it is because of her that our dream wedding was able to come to life!!!

Michaela is awesome!! My husband and I had our wedding on September 1st at Falkner Winery. She was on top of everything from snacks for the groom to corn starch for my sweaty bridal party. Our wedding went by extremely smooth and we were able to enjoy everything. I do not even know how anyone has a wedding without her.
I have nothing but positive things to say about working with Michaela! We had our wedding at Lorimar Winery and she was on top of all of the details that go into a wedding. She helped me stay organized with the planning and with contacting all my vendors. The day of was such a whirlwind and she took charge and made sure the day went smooth and perfect. Her communication through planning helped that she would text back quick and always with an answer. I highly recommend her for your wedding planning or day of coordination.
I am so grateful that I hired Michaela! She was amazing to work with and made sure my wedding went off without a hitch! I have nothing but good things to say about Michaela. To put it simply, I owe it to her that our wedding was such a hit. I hired Michaela as a day of coordinator after calling many other potential coordinators. I liked that she was friendly and very down to earth, she never asked me what my budget was (every other coordinator asked before they sent me price quotes and it made me question if they based their quote on that), and she started working with me 3 months before as opposed to one month like other coordinators. Since Temecula was a destination wedding for us, Michaela and I did most of the planning via phone... and let me say, she was always quick to call or text me back... even on her birthday lol! Every time I was stumped on how to make something work, she had an answer right away... I’m sure this is the reason I never lost sleep over wedding planning. Also, the time and attention that she gave our wedding timeline was spectacular. She is so organized and thorough. From start to finish, Michaela was a joy to work with and I highly recommend her!
Michaela coordinated our wedding, and she was an absolute god send! She is extremely organized and quick to respond. I changed my mind about a hundred times about tiny details and she adjusted things without batting an eye. Unfortunately, my florist forgot two table centerpiece arrangements and my bridal cake flowers but michaela quickly improvised and used my bridesmaids bouquets for the tables and took some loose buds from my bouquet to put onto the cake. She adjusted the timeline constantly throughout the day, making sure that everything went smoothly, cutting things out when necessary so we had time for the most important things. She brought over heaping plates of food for my husband and I, secured appetizers and wine without us ever having to ask, and made sure that we had moments alone to just take in everything. She is so sweet, not to mention fun and beautiful! We absolutely loved everything that she did, without her my wedding would have dissolved into chaos.

From the moment we met with her we were confident she was the coordinator for us. We were impressed by her attention to detail, organization, and knowledge of the venue. Michaela is AMAZING! From the first day she took over until her rushing to get everyone settled as a thunderstorm crashed my wedding. Thunder and lightning did not hinder our day and thanks to her being so quick on her feet we quickly moved indoors and my groom and I felt absolutely NO stress. Our day was a dream come true. Michaela was amazing at our Lorimary Vineyards & Winery wedding! She had a solution for every hurdle, was in constant communication, and was very detail oriented! The day of our wedding, I didn't worry once what the venue would look like. When I arrived for our first look, it was just beautiful and so very memorable. I can't thank her enough for being patient with me when I asked a million questions and needed help planning from left to right. Michaela and Lorimar staff know how to throw spectacular weddings!
We met Michaela a month before our wedding due to a sudden change of coordinator plans. At first I was so nervous and it was truly the best thing to happen to us! Even from our first conversation I felt at ease right away, then once we met with her I knew we were dealing with a real professional. She asked questions no one else had as far as details for the big day and she had an answer for every question and request. In addition she was super personable and sweet. If you want your dream wedding then book Michaela ASAP. I can't even begin to describe how many ways she made my entire wedding experience a dream come true. I met her for my details meeting and she was so helpful, full of suggestions and ideas to make the most of our particular vision and wedding size. She was on top of all communication from that point forward and was able to answer every last question I had with the utmost patience. During our rehearsal she was able to lead and direct while still keeping it fun and super informative. Again, she had so many helpful suggestions and ideas. The day of she was literally a miracle worker. No matter what issue arose she was able to tackle it without even breaking a sweat. She was not only completely professional, she was also fun to have around and only added to the overall experience. I swear I literally have no idea how the heck she made it all happen because we had overlooked several things and no one had any idea. Magical Michaela somehow made it all work beautifully. I lost count of how many people told me it was the best wedding they had ever been to and I totally attribute that to her. Book her now!
Michaela was AMAZING and made our wedding absolutely magical! My husband and I were engaged and married in less than 8 weeks, and I was referred to Michaela on week #6! The day of the wedding, there were several things that were overlooked by me as I was busy helping my daughter get ready, and Michaela was always right there to save the day. Talk about planning, organization, follow through, problem solving, stress management, improvisation; those are just a few of the amazing skills she possesses. The whole event was handled seamlessly by her, including guest seating, venue table arrangements, barrel room and cake décor, D.J. coordination, keeping us on track, etc.. She contacted every vendor before the wedding to make sure they were all ready to go. Having her at the wedding, working behind the scenes, enabled both my daughter and I to relax and enjoy the wedding right along with her guests. She helped create a beautiful event that will be a lasting, wonderful memory for our family and friends. I cannot recommend Michaela highly enough.
