I cannot say enough good things about Compass Point. I had my wedding there in April, and it was absolutely amazing. What made it amazing was Erin the owner, she is a gem and made everything go so smoothly. We had a vendor not show up on time (the DJ) and she jumped in to save the day without breaking a sweat! She tied knots, provided band aids, and was there for anything we needed. The venue itself was beautiful, we rented it for 2 days, the kids were able to run around til late with no worries about them getting out because of it being enclosed. We were able to basically party for 2 nights, the outdoor patio area was SO nice to have, they let us play music and just have run of the place. We had our rehearsal dinner there which was so much fun! Also Erin did my flowers which were GORGEOUS! I cannot say enough good things about Compass and Erin!

My daughter just got married here. It was very beautiful and staff made it extra special. They were there for any and all needs of the night. The dj was fabulous. He even found a special request for the bride and our family. The cottages were also clean and spacious. It was truly a wonderful venue.

Erin is warm, accommodating, and kind, but no-nonsense when your date rolls around! She makes sure everything is just perfect for your wedding. Needless to say, the venue is just lovely. My guests RAVED about how nice it was all night. I didn't use Erin's floral arrangements, but I have seen them, and they're gorgeous, and the food was good. If you want a nice one-stop shop to ensure your wedding will be beautiful and classy, book Compass Point. My only suggestion is.... If you use their DJ, and they give you the number for DJ Klasic.... maybe request a different DJ. He was so nice, but a terrible DJ. For reasons he never explained, he altered my walk-up song selection to a shorter arrangement. Between that decision and my flower girl taking her job a little too seriously, I ended up walking up in TOTAL SILENCE. No pivot, so soft instrumental, just silence, like I was walking to the gallows. He refused to play slow songs when my guests requested it, for some reason, and ignored almost all of my song requests. It really was the only part of the night that sucked.

Recently got married at Compass Point and could not be happier with how things went. Erin and Andree were so easy to work with and made us feel so relaxed about every step. They were both there to help with whatever we needed....setting up my little DIY things when I was freaking out about hair and make up day of, helping to pack up things next day, etc. Food was great, cottages were perfect to get ready in, venue was beautiful. 10/10

This venue was perfect for our wedding. The owner is amazing she made sure that everything was taken care of since it was an out of state wedding. Everyone still talk about the venue that we had are wedding out. The food is to die for.

I cannot put in to words what an incredibly fun and beautiful wedding we had at compass point this past weekend. Ms. Erin was so much fun to plan with for the past year and a half! CP is absolutely stunning. The string lights and creole cottages are so unique and make for beautiful pictures during the day and at night. The guests raved about how beautiful our venue was. Our passed appetizers were plentiful and delicious. The entrees were outstanding. The bartenders and servers provided excellent service throughout the night. They even came to let us know that fireworks were happening on the river which was so magical :). Ms. Erin also helped me plan everything which was so helpful and ensured that the day went smoothly. In addition to that, she’s also a licensed florist and I LOVED all of my flowers. You will not find another venue like this anywhere in New Orleans! It truly was the most beautiful day of our lives, and I can’t thank the team and Ms Erin at CP enough.

This place is magical! Erin and Amy, along with their staff, went out of their way to ensure we had the wedding of our dreams. The food was delicious (people are still talking about it), the cottages are unique and comfortable, and the entire weekend was a dream come true. We couldn't be happier that we chose Compass Point for our special day.

There are not enough stars for this review. I would give an infinite amount if I could. Erin and her team put together a beautiful wedding reception for us. The venue is gorgeous. The way the oak trees are lit up at night, the decorations that Erin let us use (that she and her team just put together so seamlessly), and don't forget to mention the food!!! Delicious!!! Working with Erin was a breeze. I will admit, I was nervous. I did not have a wedding coordinator and felt like things were going to slip through the cracks, but everything was SO PERFECT!! I genuinely have never heard so many compliments about how our wedding was so beautiful....and maybe I am biased but our wedding was definitely the best wedding we have ever been to. And that was all made possible by Compass Point Events!

My husband and I couldn't be happier with our wedding at Compass Point. First of all, we couldn't find a better price point for a venue and we were blown away by the fact that the price included wedding coordination, custom decorations, set-up and break-down. Erin also did our flowers for us for an unbeatable price and they were gorgeous. At the venue, the first things you'll notice are the big old oak trees, and the pretty historic buildings all around you. The venue comes alive at night with white lights strung all over. Erin was able to offer us decorations of all kinds and she and her team delivered exactly what we wanted, which was a pretty, elegant, and simple vibe for our table settings and decor. The food was great and there was plenty to go around--my favorites were the soup and the muffulettas and I'm grateful for the chefs and waitstaff. Erin was there to answer our questions and help us through each step of the planning process, and she and her team were flexible throughout our multiple delays due to COVID. She even provided us with a wheelchair accessible portable restroom when our alternative plan fell through two days before the wedding. At the wedding she and her team knew how to contribute to the fun environment while making sure everything ran smoothly and that everyone was taken care of--they even delivered food and drinks to our relatives with mobility impairments. Our family members stayed in their cottages and were really happy with the accommodations. Erin was even there to help me with a dress snafu and gave me quick alterations so I could get back out on the dance floor. I wish I could relive this night. Do yourself a favor and book Compass Point for your wedding!

I cannot say enough about the venue! We could not have picked better, and all of our guests agreed! The customer service was above and beyond. The location is in a cute historic part of the city with amazing trees and classic NOLA style homes surrounding the ceremony and reception area. In addition, its a one stop shop for most items (food- which was delicious, tables, bar tenders, lightening, etc) so you do not have to worry about all the little details coming together. They will even provide the flowers, and Erin nailed my vision. Finally, the owners and staff go out of their way to ensure no one is stressed-you just feel like they have your back. Again, I cannot say enough. Book this venue today!

Compass Point Events was the perfect space for my wedding. All of my guests loved the beautiful outdoor setting and overall, it was the best decision I made. Everything was wonderful, from our first tour with Amy, to meeting Erin and her team, staying in the cottages and of course, the wedding day. Erin and her assistant, Erika, made everything look so beautiful. They were both so down to earth and kind, I couldn’t be happier with their professionalism and event planning abilities. The venue, the decor, the food, the service… it was all top notch. Erin has a repertoire of decor that can be used to make your special event look spectacular and personalized (and it’s included! Talk about a time and money saver). Also, special shout out to Lisa, who worked the buffet area. She was so much fun and even danced with us for a little bit. My guests cannot stop talking about how perfect the wedding was, and it was definitely thanks to Erin and her team of wonderful boss women who get sh!t done. Thank you all soooo much! I couldn’t be happier and more thankful for your services.

I can’t thank Erin and Amy and their entire staff enough for making my wedding day dreams come true. We did a destination wedding and stayed on the property in one of the gorgeous houses, had our rehearsal dinner there, and a small intimate mid week wedding. I only had a vision but no idea how or where to start. From the very beginning Erin held my hand and walked me through everything. She took care of hiring the DJ, did the flowers, hired the DJ, handled every single detail and did it flawlessly. My husband and I had the best week of our lives and it whole heartedly had everything to do with every single person at Compass Point. The venue was STUNNING, the houses we stayed in there were beautiful, and the wedding ceremony and reception were anything I could have ever dreamed of. I can’t wait to visit NOLA again and hopefully have the chance to stay at the venue one more time. Do not pass the chance up of having your wedding be everything you could ever imagine or want it to be. Compass Point, Erin, Amy, and every single staff member there will hold a special spot in mine and my husbands heart for the rest of our lives!!!

I don’t think words can express how amazing Compass Point Events is! We had seen a few venues but they either didn’t offer enough amenities for the price or didn’t have the right feel, but the moment I stepped into compass point events I knew that was where I had to get married. It was fairly stress-free and very affordable. I was worried because I was told that wedding planning was stressful however Compass Point Events made it a wonderful experience! The food was fabulous, the staff was amazing, the flowers they arranged for us were beautiful, and they really do put so much love and hard work into the venue. I will forever recommend Compass Point Events!

My niece had her wedding at Compass Point and it was the best time ever! The staff was awesome. The food was great and the beer was cold! A wonderful time was had by all! Rosie S

We are so pleased with Compass Point Events! Planned our daughter’s destination wedding here after having to cancel her Greece destination wedding due to travel restrictions from Covid. Everything was done via phone/internet with the owner Erin. My daughter had already worked with the planner in Greece and had her dream wedding planned. I have to admit I was somewhat nervous since we had only seen the property and her wedding events online. It was perfect! Erin managed everything…food, flowers, accommodations, for both the rehearsal dinner and wedding. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and exactly what the bride wanted. The food was superb and the staff was wonderful. And LouLou is the best! CPE is so lucky to have such a staff member. Many thanks to Erin and her staff! We will be back to New Orleans to visit and stay in one of your lovely cottages!

I do not even know where to start with Erin and all the staff at Compass Point! After having to reschedule multiple times our wedding last Saturday was everything we imagined and more! We had a fairly large and slightly rowdy wedding party and Erin managed to get everyone’s attention and make sure we all knew what to do at rehearsal. All the decor and details were perfect and she made sure that our wedding ran smoothly! Everyone was also amazed at the floral arrangements that she created! We cannot thank you and your staff enough for a perfect night! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Wow! I cannot recommend Compass Point Events more for your wedding, party, or other special events! We recently got married at the venue and it was absolutely beautiful and Erin and her team made everything so easy and wonderful. The venue is gorgeous, below is one picture from our wedding, but I cannot wait for the professional photos to come back because there were so many beautiful locations for photos. The venue comes with cottages on the property that you and your guests can rent - I highly recommend staying in them, our guests loved their charm and convenience. I also have to rave about the food - Chef made the most delicious dishes and along with soup and main courses there were 10 appetizers that were huge hits with everyone. Erin is very easy to work with and she made the wedding day, ceremony, and reception a breeze and so fun for us as a couple and my family. Erin was my florist for the wedding with amazing results and I recommend adding her florist skills to your day. The venue recommended DJ, Rex was incredible and made the night so fun as did the on-site cash bar that kept the party safe on property and going late into the night!

Wow where to start... this venue is literally the best place ever. If you’re thinking of having your wedding here just DO IT! My wife and I literally keep telling each other we couldn’t have found a better place! Compass Point was actually our 3rd choice and we’re so glad we ended up here (3rd times a charm). It was every bit of everything we wanted; the venue is gorgeous (pictures don’t do it justice) very historic and very NOLA cultured. Not to mention the staff is incredible, Erin and her sister Amy are the owners of this property and I’m not sure they get enough credit. They literally do it all! From food and drinks (chef inspired onsite catering), down to the flowers and decorations they have a plan and can help you with everything. This venue is almost completely turn key, hell you can literally stay on site if need be in the guest houses. Also, for being so turn key this venue is extremely reasonable and affordable compared to many venues in NOLA. Erin is a florist and can take care of your floral needs, they have archways that they jazz up for you to get married under and if you’re worried about the checkerboard dance floor, like we were, they have boho/oriental style rugs to cover those for the ceremony and then remove after so you can dance the night away. Erin and Amy are so helpful, it’s literally a breath of fresh air planning with them. If they don’t do it onsite they surely have multiple reputable recommendations for you. They helped us find a DJ, brass band, and a baker for our cake. They are literally the best! Laid back but in charge these two have it handled. Erin was there day of our ceremony/reception and you should see her operating this place like a VERY well oiled machine. Once everything started it was a smooth as butter, we finally got her to let go and have some fun with us and she even got in there and danced until closing time. To this day all of our friends and family keep telling us how our wedding was the best they’ve ever been to, and if we could do it all over again it would be right there again at Compass Point!!!

We were ecstatic when we found this unique venue for my wedding. From the first day, Erin showed her enthusiasm for ensuring this special day would be perfect. Through the many changing guidelines with Covid, Erin kept in touch and worked with us to continue to give us confidence that the day would go on as planned. The complex with its cottages to be used for the bridesmaids accommodations for early morning hair/makeup and bridal luncheon was a definite plus factor in selecting Compass Point. Compass Point hit on all points for us in wanting to give our guest a true New Orleans ambience as many of our guests were to be coming from out of town. On our wedding day the words cannot describe the appreciation we have for Erin, Amy and her staff. When the rain threatened, they were immediately making adjustments to ensure everything would be perfect! Her invaluable assistance for our rehearsal and wedding ceremony was greatly appreciated. She kept us all calm . Everyone made it a really magical night! Thank you Erin, Amy and your staff for making this special moment in our lives PERFECT! The rave reviews of everyone in attendance "this venue was awesome" and "the best wedding I have ever attended"; "the food was great" - THE AFTER PARTY was the "the best!" We highly recommend Compass Point for your special occasion!

This is an amazing venue, I ah e had 4 events at Compass Point . Erin and Amy are amazing , staff great . They handle so much and assist with others . All of my guests were amazed at the uniqueness of the facility . I will have more events in the future . Amazing wedding at Compass Point .

Compass Point was the first and only venue we toured. Algiers Point is already filled with history and authenticity, then add the beauty of the ancient oak trees and historic architecture, the New Orleans charm of the antique interior design, and romantic checkered outdoor dance floor under the string lit oak trees just paints the perfect wedding memory I wanted for us. Not to mention being located right on the levee near the ferry in the heart of The Point. If that wasn’t enough, meeting Erin just topped it all off. She immediately feels like family. You can feel she genuinely wants the best for you and will do whatever she can to make it the best day of your life. Since our wedding plans changed with COVID, we thought our wedding was ruined and we wouldn’t be able to keep our date. Until we reached out to Erin. She was so accommodating and went beyond our expectations. We got to keep our date and had a beautiful, intimate wedding and photo shoot. We’re so happy with our decision and can’t wait to celebrate at our reception next year. This place truly warms my heart.

I can’t say enough great things about compass point and Erin. After covid threw a wrench into our plans, Erin was nice enough to allow us to use the outside property to have a very small 10 person ceremony. She set up everything from chairs, drinks and a champagne toast for us. She even made a bouquet for me to have for photos. While it wasn’t the wedding we planned it was absolutely perfect. Erin is easy to work with and very accommodating. Planning our reception was a breeze, all we had to do was pick what we wanted and Erin took care of everything else. The property is amazing. We were able to go back After taking photos on the levee and take some photo under the oak trees and lights. Definitely looking forward to having our reception next year.

We had our couples shower at Compass Pointe and the crew went above and beyond all of our expectations to make our event enjoyable for us and our guests! We had to limit our guest count due to COIVD, however, they were very thorough in the safety precautions needed in order to ensure the safety of all of our guests. The food was incredible!!! We had the best time and highly recommend this space to anyone looking to have a couples shower or wedding in the New Orleans area. This place is filled with New Orleans history and charm.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! We had to cancel our 180 person wedding six days before our date due to COVID-19. Erin was extremely accommodating, letting us adjust and reschedule at our leisure. We ended up getting married in July 2020, downsized to 18 adults. Our night was just as magical as the original day would have been. The flowers, the tables, everything was elegant and beautiful. Erin and her staff have amazing attention to detail, and she went above and beyond for us every step of the way.

My daughter was married at Compass Point on June 20, 2020. Erin and Amy went out of their way to offer a special and safe wedding by keeping the guests to 10 and spacing out the chairs in their outdoor area. Erin created a bouquet for my daughter that was out of this world. The joy that we experienced by seeing our daughter united with the love of her life was beyond amazing. I highly recommend this venue for any event. The vibe is both casual and elegant. The property is beautiful and the location embodies all that is special about New Orleans. Beyond those tangible qualities, the most important part of this venue is the amazing women who own this place. Erin and Amy went above and beyond both in the beginning of our planning stages prior to COVID-19 and after when they welcomed us to the property for a special ceremony to allow my daughter and her husband the opportunity to exchange their vows in this amazing location. We are looking forward to the re-scheduled reception next summer. Thank you Erin and Amy. There are no words to express my deepest gratitude for your hand in making Julie's wedding day so special.

Erin was everything you dreamed for and more when it came to planning our reception. I live in Alabama and made everything so simple to do via email and even through text! The venue looked amazing. It was exactly what I wanted and everyone loved the food!!!! I highly recommend her and her staff l!

I can’t even begin to count all the compliments my guest gave us for the gorgeous venue. It is the prefect spot for a NOLA wedding, beautiful oak trees, string lights and a picture perfect dance floor. Erin and her team are beyond superb. They took care of every detail. Erin is the ring leader of weddings and She does it all flawlessly. Couldn’t of picked a better spot!

We loved having our wedding at Compass Point. It was such a beautiful venue. As soon as our guests arrived at Compass Point, they couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it was. The big oak trees, twinkling lights and the beautiful cottages make for a lovely setting. Throughout the planning process, Erin was wonderful to work with and was always flexible with our asks. We had a fusion wedding combining traditional, New Orleans, and Indian traditions and she always had suggestions and had knowledge in all three traditions. Even when we weren’t sure how something would work out, she provided solutions and guidance. Her and her staff made sure we had a stress-free and wonderful evening. The food was fantastic (seriously, I have one friend who won’t stop talking to me about the shrimp and grits). The staff was kind, polite and helpful. We also had Erin do our floral and table arrangements. I didn’t have a very specific vision, so I described a vague idea of what I had in my head and let Erin handle the rest. And wow, I was seriously impressed! It was so much better than I could have ever imagined. She graciously let us use much of the décor she already had which helped us save a bit on expenses and we didn’t have to worry about that aspect. Erin made us feel so special on our day. I would definitely recommend having your wedding at Compass Point. We are so happy we did!

Compass Point was one of the first places that popped up during our venue search and we immediately fell in love with the romantic, intimate setting. Once we visited in person, we were certain there was nowhere else in the whole city we'd rather be married. The string lights, oak trees, and checkered dance floor are absolutely beautiful. Erin was such a pleasure to work with; she made the whole planning process stress-free! Erin truly went above and beyond for us when she arranged for a private food tasting when we were unable to attend the scheduled ones. Even when I didn't give her much guidance on what I was looking for in floral arrangements, she completely hit it out of the park. She was so generous in allowing us to use some of the venue's table centerpieces and beautiful chuppah. Being able to stay on-site in the beautiful historic cottages made the day-of preparations so calm and fun, since we didn't have to worry about changing locations, and hair and makeup artists were able to come to us. All of our guests raved all night about how delicious the food was and my now-husband and I actually got to enjoy it too because Erin made a point to whisk us away to share a private moment together and eat. Above all, I was so impressed by Erin's overall enthusiasm, I'm sure she's done hundreds of weddings by now, but she was genuinely giddy for us and made us feel so special. We both agree that we could not have asked for a more perfect evening. If I could give Erin and Compass Point more than 5 stars, I would do it in a heartbeat. Don't hesitate and book your dream wedding at Compass Point now!

Mike and Darrens wedding was fabulous...everyone family friends co workers were all so excited about the venue. Absolutely the best, I have been showing off the spectacular pictures. We booked Compass Point a year in advance! A year of planning and developing a friendship with Erin, it was well worth it! Our big day was this past Saturday and it couldn’t have gone better! It was all worth it! When you hire CP you hire Erin her experience and expertise gave us the confidence that our vision would materialize. The food was great! The flowers were beautiful! And the setting is unique and serene. Old New Orleans at its best. Ending the event with a second line on the mighty Mississippi River was the cherry on top! Be sure to get the grilled oysters, chef will grill then in front your guest it makes an awesome presentation to wow your guest. Highly recommend Compass Point and Erin!!!

We were married here October 19, 2019 it was the perfect event! Everything we dreamed of. We couldn’t have been happier. The space is amazing and Erin is so easy to work with. The food and drink were amazing! We even rented 2 of the houses on the property, it made for an opportunity to fully enjoy the venue space and all it has to offer. Erin can help with procuring vendors if you need help. Otherwise your vendors will easily work with her. Don’t miss the spring and fall tastings! They will set your mind at ease. Oh! Erin is also a state licensed florist! She took care of all our flower needs! Ask for the greenery upgrade It was beautiful. Compass Point also too care of our rehearsal dinner, Chef prepared a delicious seated meal in the Pink house, its classic New Orleans. Algiers Point is a hidden gem. Do yourself a favor and book Compass Point! We are local so it was very convenient and loved supporting a Westbank family owned business. Destination weddings can be hard and a lot of work, but Erin and the Compass Point Team manage to suck all the stress right out of it. I would tell you about how beautiful the venue is but you can see that for yourself. I know that I fell in love the moment I stepped onto the property and I am sure you will too. And the fact that you can rent the houses so your friends and family can stay on site means that the celebration starts long before the ceremony and continues long after the reception ends (which is fitting for New Orleans!). However, what I did not expect was how Erin would take care of everything. My mother and I can be a bit high maintenance (that is an understatement!) and Erin held our hand through every step in the process with a laugh and a smile. She recommended some amazing vendors and was able to help us meet every need. Her flowers were gorgeous and exactly what I wanted, (despite having only sent her a few pictures from my pintrist board). The food was incredible and they were able to accommodate the many dietary restrictions we had in attendance. The decorations were flawless. Erin knew I loved milk glass so she even went out and bought a bunch of milk glass votives and vases. She took care of every detail, from the planning to the day of coordinating. The rest of the staff were just as amazing. They even came out in the middle of the night when one of the guests locked themselves out of the house. Erin had shots with us on the dance floor, her nieces walked in our second line, and she taught my entire wedding how to eat crawfish at the Welcome Dinner. She truly felt like part of the family and I cant wait to go back to New Orleans to visit her and the rest of the Compass Point Family! My wedding was perfect and I owe it all to Compass Point Events!

My husband & I got married at Compass Point a month ago. Erin and staff were amazing and wonderful. Everything we expected for our wedding was on point. All of our guests loved the venue as well as the food. Mindy who is the head chef did an awesome job, but Erin did an phenomenal job. My husband’s work wants to have their Christmas party at C.P. Our guest three weeks after our wedding went on and on about how good the food was and the venue was just sooo beautiful. We would definitely recommend Compass Point to people we know as well as strangers. When my husband & I were looking at venues, and after we toured Compass Point. When I or we were in the neighborhood would drive by at night to look at C.P. because it is such a beautiful venue. Now that we are married we still drive by at night because it is so beautiful. We hope you choose Compass Point as your venue, they don’t just do weddings.

We got married at Compass Point on Dec. 30, 2018, and there are no words for how perfect it all was! We had so many guests tell us that this was the most fun wedding they had ever been to! The venue was so gorgeous and Erin and her team took care of every last detail for us. We booked out the cabins and stayed on site for the days before and after the wedding, and that was such a convenient difference! We loved how accommodating Erin and her team were and how easy it was to plan everything through her. She is a superb florist and did an amazing job on our flowers. She also recommended a great DJ and second line band for us. Honestly, easiest choice ever! Thanks Compass Point Team for making our wedding dreams come true!!!

We had our destination wedding at Compass Point on October 27, 2018 and it was PERFECT! I really can't say enough good things about Erin and all of the staff. Erin is such a pro and the entire process was completely stress-free for me. The flowers were beautiful, the food was delicious, and the decorations were amazing. They handled the set-up of everything and made sure everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding. Everyone at Compass Point was so accommodating and made sure that my husband and I were happy and taken care of throughout the night. We received so many compliments from our guests about every aspect of the wedding. We also rented out the cottages the night before and after the wedding, which was so convenient. I wish I could give them more than five stars!

We got married at Compass Point on Nov 3rd of 2018 and it was spectacular. My husband and I live in NJ, but wanted a dreamy New Orleans wedding and the staff at Compass Point exceeded all of our expectations. It truly was a perfect day where every detail came together in harmony. Erin was helpful in creating our vision over many, many phone calls and emails and worked with us to ensure we felt comfortable during the process. Erin also did my florals, which were outstanding. Mindy and Amy knocked it out of the park, with their hard work and personal care, especially the day of. And the food!! The food was absolutely delicious! We had about 75 guests from all over the country and they're still raving about our wedding 3 months later. It was such a wonderful experience that it almost feels like a dream.

Absolutely the best! First of all, it is such a BEAUTIFUL property. I threw a destination wedding (my now-husband and I live in NYC), and they took care of us, made us feel like family, and were so "on it" for our ceremony and reception (both which we held at the venue). They are nearly all-inclusive with chairs, tables, day-of coordination, and food & drink (And, the food is DELISH! I only wish my guests hadn't eaten everything and we could have had some leftovers). I cannot recommend Compass Point enough!!!

I have ZERO complaints. The entire staff was amazing, but Erin was a QUEEN and an absolute doll! She supported my crazy engagement party turned surprise wedding idea from the very beginning and made sure to do everything she could every step of the way to make it perfect. It was scheduled to rain on my day, but there were plans to do the whole thing inside should that have had to happened. She had plans and ideas that she offered that I was completely in love with every time she came up with something new. My maid of honor was my planner, and this was her first wedding. Even still, everything went off without a hitch! And that’s hugely thanks in part to Erin and everyone at Compass Point!

Compass Point was the perfect venue for our wedding. Erin worked behind the scenes to make sure everything went smoothly and as planned. She did a wonderful job keeping stress levels as low as possible. We couldn’t be happier with the ceremony and reception that we had.

I had my wedding there on April 22nd and we all had the BEST time. My guests were floored by the beauty of the venue, the quality of the food and of course the gorgeous floral arrangements crafted by Erin, the owner. One of my guests said “This wedding was so much fun we should have a ten year reunion of this day!” What a compliment! Best features of this venue include that there is an easy rain plan- no need to rent a tent if you are under a certain guest count. The other is that you can take your second line to the ferry and actually have the band play on the ferry! I was lucky enough to have booked my wedding during the tricentennial celebration and my guests and I got to enjoy fireworks on the river (None of us knew about it!) during my second line. Oh and before I forget- the bridesmaids and I were able to rent a cottage the night before the wedding. It was nice to have one last sleepover with my friends and it also made getting ready super easy! Forget the smells, noise and uneven pathways of the quarter. Compass Point Events is the best in town!

We absolutely loved our experience with Compass Point! From day one, Erin and her team went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests/wedding details. Despite a rainy wedding day, Erin made sure every single detail was still in place! The venue and property are historic and beautiful. We wanted a romantic vintage feel for our day and Compass Point captured that beautifully. Erin also handled our flowers! She did an amazing job with each arrangement and worked with me one on one to make sure to capture the look I was going for! We are so appreciative for everything!! Amazing experience!!

Venue: It is really great with the setting and the flexibility available to make it great. With the oak tree and the small houses you can do a lot with the space available. The wait staff were all great and really did a great job with drinks and keeping the place tidy during our time. The Owners: So there is some left to be desired with the sisters who run the venue. Make sure to read your contract and have them explain everything as we found inconsistencies in when payments were due and have everything in writing from them in regards to adding any other food vendors or options to their all inclusive situation. At first they were fine with it and then seemed to be less than enthusiastic to have other vendors there. One point I was not happy with is that we did have extra food vendors but the venue really skimped on the appetizers they provided to us and not that it was a huge ordeal they provided the incorrect dinner option and when we requested some plates as we had forgotten them , we were given an invoice (which I understand) that was pretty ridiculous (restaurant depot is not that expesnsive!) and I believe she was just not happy with us. They can be downright pleasant but just be aware they can cause some issues if you are not very proactive early on.

We got married at Compass Point in October of 2017. It was a pleasure to use this space. The indoor/outdoor options works well in New Orleans, where you can never predict the weather. It was a beautiful event, and Erin was easy to work with. She also made our flowers for the wedding and they turned out beautifully. I cannot recommend enough!

We can not say enough about Erin and her team. She handled the food, the flowers, gave us a space to get ready all day and was on-site running the event. He food was amazing. She has an extensive list of options, all of if was home cooking, her servers were so nice to guests and family. Compass Point is location is unique to New Orleans. Secluded, private but very easy to find for out of town guests. The string lights add a fantastic touch of romance. Erin and her staff have an extensive list of supporting vendors such as bakers, jazz bands for 2nd line, DJs/bands, photographers. Erin was on-site all day along with her too three managers. They were able to take care of everything from snippy family members to housing the toasting flutes so as to not break. I wish I could get married again and have it there again

Do you want a beautiful, fairy tale, low stress wedding with delicious food and convenient accommodations? Then Compass Point is your spot. Our wedding was so beautiful, magical, wonderful, delicious and easy. We planned a destination wedding so I really loved that the venue, catering, bar, tables, chairs, and even flowers were all included. We even stayed in one of the cottages at the venue and one of my bridesmaids and her family stayed in another. We got to town a few days before the ceremony to get the wedding license so it was nice to only have to unload the car once. Speaking of parking, I was happy my guests wouldn't have to pay for parking unlike many of the venues in the French Quarter (some venues were $30 per car). And for those that Ubered or used Lyft - it was a quick and inexpensive ride for people staying on the other side of the river. For the ceremony and reception itself - the setting is so gorgeous, the food was fantastic (my chef dad was very impressed), and there are so many great spots for pictures - including on the levee with the skyline in the background. I cannot say enough wonderful things regarding Compass Point and its staff. My husband and I had our wedding reception here last week, and it was absolutely perfect. From the beginning of our planning to the end of the party on our wedding day, Erin ensured that every detail was attended to. The entire staff was friendly and professional, and accommodated every request we had. Seriously, every single thing we asked for was done, and then some. The time and effort they put into the details is spectacular. Our families rented out all of the guest cottages, which were spacious, and extremely comfortable. It was lovely to be able to have all of our relatives on site to be together, while still having our own separate spaces. The beautiful old oaks were decorated with twinkle lights and lanterns, and the inside of the “big house” was the perfect space to have our wedding pie display, and provided a more intimate area to relax and have conversation. We were able to take photos on the Compass Point grounds, and were also able to walk up to the levy and the ferry terminal to capture more pictures with the sunset and New Orleans skyline in the background. We loved every aspect of our big day, and have had numerous guests tell us it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended. I am biased, but I feel the same way! Our wedding day was more magical and more beautiful than we could have ever imagined!

Erin and Amy were awesome to work with. They treated us and our guests like family. Everyone had such a great time and raved about how amazing the food and customer service were. And of course the venue itself is simply goegeous. I couldn't have asked for my wedding to have gone any better.

I was married at compass point Aug 27th 2016. Compass point was amazing! The staff catered to our every need. What I loved about the venue is there are several houses to rent on the property and we rented everyone of them . Our wedding turned into a mini vacation with all of our closest family and friends. The location of the venue is incredible! It's located on the river directly across from the city ,which gave a beautiful view of Downtown New Orleans skyline! This was by far the best photo ops ever. Also, it's about 1 block from the ferry which dropped us off at the foot of Canal st. / French Quarter. Our wedding day was perfect! The food was everything we expected times 10. We danced under the oaks for several hours and made a grand exit by second lining down the levee to the ferry which took us to the French Quarter to continue our celebration! The brass band that Erin lined up even rode the ferry across the river with us. Our wedding was enjoyed by all! The memories will last forever! THIS DEFINITELY ONE OF NEW ORLEANS BEST KEPT SECRETS! Thanks to Erin and everyone at Compass Point we will definitely be back real soon!

The event space was amazing - perfect for outdoor weddings with excellent decorations and ambiance. They helped plan every detail so there was hardly anything that I had to worry about (they do all the catering, floral arrangements, decorations, bar, etc.). We chose to rent out the entire space including all cottages for our guests for the entire weekend and everything went well. This is a really cool space.

We absolutely loved having our wedding reception at Compass Point! Mrs. Erin and her team were very attentive and made our day worry free! I really liked dancing under the lights on the deck, it was a perfect New Orleans wedding experience!

We had our wedding on October 8th at Compass Point. It was everything I could imagine. Erin and her staff were fabulous. All my guest had a great time and didn't want party to end. We rented at all the cottages and were able to relax whole weekend. Erin also did my bouquets and helped me order flowers for the venue. I would recommend Compass Point to anyone looking for a venue.

Everything was amazing. Great atmosphere, great planning and it was all much easier and relaxed than I'd anticipated. I had nothing at all to worry about. Just enjoying our day! The staff and service was impeccable. Wouldn't change a thing!

My wedding at Compass Point was breathtaking. It is truly a magical venue. A real piece of historical New Orleans. The staff was helpful and accommodating before, during and after the wedding as well. I definitely recommend this venue!

My wedding was completely perfect because of the beautiful setting at Compass Point. Erin has great vision for weddings and also a great ability to execute your vision. My wedding turned out exactly as I planned, in no small part thanks to Erin and Amy. They are able to accommodate last minute changes and are easy to work with. I wish I could have a second wedding!

I cannot say enough about how perfect this venue was for our wedding. The location in Algiers Point is perfect and the grounds are amazing. The historic cottages and oak trees were just what we were looking for in a venue. Also, the on site cottages were so helpful for having everyone at the location. Not only are the grounds beautiful, but the staff make it an unbelievable experience. After meeting Erin for the first time, my husband and I knew that this would be where we would be getting married. Erin was so easy to work with over the planning period leading up to the wedding and her day of organization kept the flow of the wedding moving along perfectly and stress free. The rest of the staff at Compass Point is also excellent. All of our guests loved the venue so much, that I heard a couple people say they wished they were married there. Overall it was the perfect day in a perfect location.

I cannot say enough good things about Compass Point. My wedding was better than I ever dreamed! The venue was beautiful and amazing. My flowers were perfect. The food was delicious and I had people asking me for leftover boxes! Erin kept me on track throughout the whole wedding planning process, and ran the entire wedding like it was nothing. We rented the cottages for our wedding party and for some of our family and they were wonderful. Everyone keeps commenting on how beautiful the wedding was, and I owe it all to Erin and Amy!

The number of compliments we received on our special day were just amazing. Everything was just what we wanted and Erin and Amy helped make sure our day was special and perfect. Everything from the food to the flowers were just what I wanted and our day could not have been any better.
