The Conrad Caldwell was an absolutely gorgeous location for our wedding. We had a wedding in May and our ceremony on the St. James Court lawn, among the trees by the fountain, was stunning. Our guests all loved the surroundings and we were able to take stunning photos. The house is an excellent place to welcome people and Angela provided very friendly, personal service. Absolutely the best.
The Conrad Caldwell is simply unparalleled, as a wedding venue and as a historical landmark. Chris Church and Kate Meador are phenomenal people and professionals, and flawlessly coordinated the event. My husband and I had a small ceremony and were able to get married on the grand staircase. I replay this day over in my head often and I can’t think of a way it could have gone better. Thank you, CC House, for an unforgettable day.
Choosing the Conrad Caldwell House Museum for our wedding venue was the best decision we could have possibly made. The setting (a grand mansion in historic St. James Court) speaks for itself, but the support we got from the venue is more than we could have asked for. Chris, the Assistant Director who worked with us, went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. From our first inquiry through the wedding day itself, Chris was consistently quick to answer any questions and was always extremely helpful. He reviewed our ceremony plans and script, and when we added on a rehearsal (there was no additional charge) he personally coordinated it along with the ceremony. At the rehearsal, I learned the flowers I ordered had a shipping delay, and were not expected to arrive in time for the wedding. Chris took it upon himself to source a last-minute emergency bouquet, and had a plan B lined up by the next morning. The original flowers ended up arriving in time, but having someone like Chris, solving problems you never thought you would have, is an invaluable resource to ensure your wedding day goes smoothly. Our ceremony was everything we wanted it to be, including having my dog in our ceremony and my bridal portraits. The pricing, contract and communication was all up front and transparent. We felt like we got an incredible value. I can’t recommend CCHM and Chris highly enough. I would give them both 10/5 stars if I could!
If you want a smaller more intimate wedding venue, with the most beautiful backdrop for photos, look no further.
This venue was so perfect for us in every way and the head of events, Chris, was the best person to work with. In the museum, every room has gorgeous wallpaper and antiques that will add so much character to your photos for fantastic memories.
Chris was always so thoughtful to accommodate what we needed and made sure we were able have a beautiful ceremony and a fun reception in their basement reception hall.
The biggest accommodation is we got married the week of a huge ice storm and it wouldn't be warm enough to hold our ceremony outside like we had planned. Chris called us and worked with us to move it inside and make it just as perfect as we imagined.
I promise you cannot work with a better staff for a gorgeous intimate wedding in the area.
Conrad-Caldwell house museum was the silver-lining to our Covid-wedding planning experience. Obviously the house itself and St. James court are stunning. I could go on about that forever but really that all speaks for itself. What all of us wedding planning people know is that a great venue is so much more than what it looks like. It's about the good energy and the possibilities And Conrad-Caldwell had endless amounts of both of those things and more. Ever single person (especially Chris, who you will work with the most) who works here is kind, helpful, caring and just all around beautiful inside and out. They were so dedicated to making our dreams a reality that it honestly made our entire wedding planning experience so much easier than we ever could have imagined. And to top it off, the price point is so good that we felt like we had to be getting some sort of discount for it to make sense. But we were not. This place is just that perfect. But don't just take my word for it, go check it out for yourself and find out!
This place is such a hidden gem. I found online and after gathering more information it had everything I wanted. Absolutely stunning inside and out, gorgeous neighborhood, enriched history. The biggest thing besides price that sold me to this location for our wedding is that we did not have to pay extra to come in the day before to decorate for the reception AND we were given 2 hours in the bridal suite along with our price for using the venue. . The experience I had with other places getting information from, EVERYTHING was extra cost. Things I felt that should be included if I am paying so much for the day.
During the planning of our wedding I was very fortunate to work with Chris at Conrad-Codwell House. He was hands down the best. I'm not really sure what I would have done without him. He was always so kind and wonderful, no matter how many times I asked the same question. Always prompt when emailing back and forth, never felt I was waiting to long for an answer. Wedding day came and I felt like I was a 100 places at once, he was there to help me and my wedding party. When things didn't go as planned, he did not let me know about it and helped my wedding party fix it without stressing me out, by telling me. He helped my photographer with anything she needed to make my photos perfect. He did anything he could to help my day be perfect. He was amazing!
I honestly did not have any hiccups on my wedding day. The ceremony was beautiful outside on St. James court, covered by trees. A beautiful water fountain in the back drop. Plenty of parking at a short walk at a church. This might be in a neighborhood, but the neighbors are used to weddings out there and they are respectful and do not interfere with the ceremony.
Having my pictures made inside this beautiful home, was a dream come true. This home has so much history and so many small details in every room, pictures are stunning. Even outside around the home, my guests were in awe and talked about how beautiful the home was on the outside.
I would recommend this place 100xs over again.
Thank you again Chris for all of your help and expertise! You are amazing.
