Originally from England, I am proud to call the beautiful state of Colorado home. Living in the heart of the Rocky Mountains is a dream come true! My passion for weddings stems from planning my destination wedding (in just 8 weeks) many years ago, to working for a tour operator that sold weddings all across Europe! I understand all the elements that need to be considered when getting married, and I love sharing my knowledge of Copper Mountain Resort, both as a summer and a winter destination, with couples looking for the most special place to say 'I Do'.

We were married at Copper Mountain in March of 2023. I cannot imagine this experience if I did not have a wedding planner to step up and handle the conflicts with Copper. We were surprised with additional undiscussed fees which totaled over $1,200. We had to pay a fee per chair to have them remove their chairs from the space which we were informed of and accepted prior to hiring a vendor to provide chairs. Then the week before our wedding the planner for Copper called our wedding planner and asked that our chairs be brought in the night before the event rather than day of the event. Our planner made the change with the vendor providing chairs, no problem. Two days later we receive an email from the Copper coordinator stating there would be an additional fee now imposed for the chairs being brought in a day early and we would be charged to have their team move the chairs down from the mezzanine. This change was made per Copper's request and additional fee was never discussed prior to making the change. They refused to acknowledge that the change was made at their request, not ours so the additional labor should be on them. Their suggestion was that my husband to be and I move the chairs to avoid the fee. So many emails I sent to the Copper coordinator were responded to within minutes "I'm sorry no, please refer to your contract. Thanks for your understanding" yet none of the additional fees were in the contact anywhere but we sure had to pay them. They also claim to have a payment schedule, take the minimum spend divide it into 4 payments. Great, our payment structure worked out to be July, September, December, and February if I recall correctly. They pulled July as expected, then failed to pull September (I didn't catch it, it was tied to a credit card not my bank account), then without contacting us pulled two payments, one on December 23 and one on December 30th. Two days before the wedding we were presenting with the final statement of charges and paid the remining balance including the undisclosed fees. Then they sent us another bill the week following the wedding. When I asked what this was for I received an email within minutes stating it was the "chair fees, site fees and +++ we discussed". The "+++" is apparently anything else they want to charge. It took me looking through to see they never charged us in February. We did owe this money so paid it immediately, but the fact they didn't take the time to look at what the balance was for was unprofessional. Also shows how happy they are to charge fees! Additionally, there was a 25 minute gap between the soup and salad course and when the salad finally came out it was unwashed and gritty - which at last is something that gave us all a good laugh. Overall, I could not recommend Copper as a venue to anyone, perhaps they are more accommodating in the non ski season, but skiing was a part of our ceremony and they claimed to "love hosting winter weddings" it never felt that way. In the end the planner for Copper apologized and said they are working on clarifying their fee structure going forward, for whatever good that will do.

We had a great experience with having our wedding at Copper Mountain! The banquet staff the night of, could not have been more helpful and sweet, the food both nights was fantastic (we had our rehearsal dinner at JJ's and our reception in the Grand Hall) and the team was still full steam ahead in setting up our outdoor winter wedding, even though it was cold and snowing like crazy! The Grand Hall was stunning and they did SO much of the work to get it all prepped, making it easy on the bridal party!
If you're looking for an easy-to-plan, vendor-limited wedding with the most beautiful views, this is it!
In full transparency, there are just a couple of things we wished we would have known earlier in booking just to have a better heads up (though they wouldn't have swayed our decision to book here):
- They say the shuttles run from village to village after the end of the latest party and that they run every 15 minutes but it was not as streamlined as we expected.
- Guests not staying on property have to pay to park
- You have to pay extra to bring in an outside cake and theirs isn't the greatest. Left you feeling a little bit "nickle and dimed"
- No matter if the guest is pregnant or committed to a sober life, if they're over 21 and you have the open bar option, they are a part of that head count.
- You cannot bring outside food or drinks in, even in the form of party favors (we wanted to bring mini bottles of Breckenridge bourbon for everyone and couldn't unless we sourced it through Copper which was significantly more costly)
- Flower girls can't throw pedals due to it not being native to the land (but ours were thrilled to carry a bouquet like the bride!)
All in all, we are SO pleased with our choice and going with Copper meant that we only had them as a vendor, the DJ and the photographer which kept things really simple.
Thank you Copper Mountain!!

Copper Mountain did such a fantastic job hosting our wedding! We can't say enough about how amazing the staff was throughout the entire process. We had our wedding at the Copper Creek Vista wedding site and our reception at the Grand Hall. The location was beautiful, and the event staff was amazing. Our banquet manager, Katie was incredible. She was so flexible, and helped us with everything we needed along the way. Copper does a great job providing everything you need for your wedding, such as the food, the linens, the centerpieces, and even recommended vendors. The site we had for the ceremony was outdoors, and we were able to make a last minute adjustment, moving the ceremony fifteen minutes back to let some weather pass.
The accommodations for guests were also wonderful. They were affordable, and there were so many different options available through the room block (hotel style, one bedroom condo, two bedroom condo, three bedroom, etc). Our guests appreciated the convenience of the booking process, along with the convenient, onsite lodging options.
We highly recommend Copper Mountain to anyone considering getting married in Summit County, CO!

We received numerous compliments on our daughter's wedding at Copper Mountain's Vista and reception at the Copper Mountain Grand Hall from friends and family near and far! Guests loved the beauty of the outside ceremony space and the elegance of the lodge. Friendly, affordable lodging was a major consideration in going with Copper Mountain, but we were happy with so much more.
Copper Mountain's immediate responses to all of our questions from beginning planning phases to completion was commendable. From handling the smallest details to keeping on top of the larger ones, Katie was extremely professional and had a personal touch. We were extremely happy with the bartenders and wait staff. They were all so friendly and the plated dinner and service were superb. Chris Landry was a fantastic DJ as well. You helped us create a beautiful day we will remember in the years to come!

Kyle, Shannon, and the Copper Mountain team went ABOVE and BEYOND to make our wedding day perfect! We had our ceremony at Solitude Station, and our reception at the Grand Hall on 8/20/2021. They worked with us to customize our wedding menu and flawlessly executed our vision. I cannot tell you how many people have complimented our food and said it was the best they've had at any wedding. Their entire team did an excellent job communicating with us and our planner from day one to our wedding day. They made the entire process SO easy and seamless. From providing the catering, bar service, linens, tables/chairs, ceremony chairs, an arch for the ceremony, transportation to and from the ceremony/reception for guests, service staff, and so many more things it makes the wedding planning process that much easier.
They are indeed a dream wedding venue, and they made our dreams come true.

We loved this venue for our wedding.! Very spacious, reasonable in price, the staff was great and willing to work with us in every respect. We got married at Copper Creek Vista with the reception to follow in Grand Hall. We did not hire a day of coordinator and I can honestly say, as the bride, I am very thankful I did not. The venue provides someone for you and Katie and Shannon did a wonderful job meeting our needs and wants for our special day.

My fiancé and I were planning a wedding ceremony (at solitude station) and reception for July. We were coordinating with Shannon Bianco, the Leisure Group Sales Manager. Shannon is an insufficient and unsatisfactory sales manager. She took days to respond to emails and could not answer the simplest questions about the wedding menu. After two weeks of communicating and a lack of
response from my emails, I decided to call her instead to reserve solitude station. She somehow couldn’t recall what we wanted and after a bit of refreshing her who we were, she told us suddenly that Copper Mountain Resort is NO LONGER ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS FOR SOLITUDE STATION FOR THE ENTIRE SUMMER OF 2018!!!! She could not give us a definite reason for this. We are disappointed and frustrated with the lack of professionalism from this resort. Awful customer service.

My husband and I had the pleasure of getting married at Copper. Copper was a one stop shop for us; so convenient! We started out with our rehearsal dinner at C.B. Grille and by the end of the night I was worried our wedding wouldn't be able to top the extraordinary night we had had! With the restaurant to ourselves, we utilized the indoor/outdoor ease of the sliding glass doors to enjoy cocktails on the patio. Dinner followed and between the food, which melted in our mouths, and the service, OUTSTANDING, the night was a perfect way to introduce our closest family and friends to Copper.
Our ceremony was held at Copper Creek Vista and it proved to be the perfect ceremony site for us. Just steps away from our reception at JJ's Rocky Mountain Tavern (great for some of our less mobile, elderly family members), with the Sky Chutes in the background (the perfect backdrop for photos), and right next to the base of the Super Bee Lift (reminding of us all the wonderful memories we have skiing at Copper), we couldn't have asked for a more intimate and gorgeous mountain setting. Once we had sealed the deal outside, we headed to JJ's for our reception. From the amazing plated dinner to the cozy mountain vibe for our 90 guests, JJ's as our reception site was better than we could have ever imagined.
From when we first met Shannon to book our wedding, to the actual wedding day, everyone we worked with was extremely accommodating and helpful. My husband and I can honestly say we had the wedding of our dreams. We already loved Copper and somehow now manage to love it more!

The venues are absolutely beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious. We were complimented many times on our venue choice and had an amazing day there. They did accommodate a lot of our special requests and it was great to have a venue take care of the food and the cake and the set up of the reception and ceremony areas. Also nice to have everything walkable for the whole wedding weekend. One thing to watch out for is that you'll have to be very detailed oriented yourself to make sure that things get done - they'll do them for you - but only exactly how you've outlined. I also felt a little bit nickle and dimed - they quoted us one price and then came back with higher prices at some points - definitely double check the invoices. Also realized during the reception that they were only serving a portion of the alcohol options that we'd paid for - it was remedied quickly - but wasn't fun to deal with and a little embarrassing to have guests only have access to Coors and Bud Light during the cocktail hour when we paid for a bunch of different local Colorado brews. Overall - experience was good - but definitely for brides willing to put in the attention to detail and/or hiring an external planner!

Oh my goodness, Copper Mountain made our wedding dreams come true. It was a destination wedding for us as we love the mountains, and we had our ceremony at Solitude Station (you must take a shuttle or the ski lift up to the top). It is so beautiful up there and so memorable that my husband even got a tattoo of the site as my wedding gift to him!
We had our cocktail hour and reception at JJ's Tavern and everyone there was so kind; the service was superb and we actually had time to eat the food and loved it as well.
LOUISE was our group services manager and our fairy godmother! We didn't have a wedding planner or coordinator so I spent a lot of time working things out with her myself and she was always helpful, lovely, and responsive. Even though some of the officials at the ski lift wanted to cancel our ceremony at the top because of possible rainstorms, Louise believed it would pass and talked them into waiting - thank goodness for her because it DID pass and we even got to start our ceremony on time! We really felt treated like family; we even gave her boxes of decorations she set up in our reception room for us. We were never made to feel needy or silly during the process and it ended up very special to us because of that.
Especially considering the rates (and attitude) of every other venue in the area, Copper is extremely reasonably priced and went above and beyond to make our weekend there spectacular and stress-free. THANK YOU so much for hosting a wedding we will be blown away by for years and years to come. We're already talking about renewing our vows there in a decade :)

We held our ceremony at Solitude Station and the views were absolutely stunning. Our guests kept raving about how beautiful it was. We loved that we not only had the main site, but we also had the nature center for our photographs. It truly was a magical event with spectacular views. Plus, it was really nice to have the chairlift ride down with my husband where we could just enjoy the moment together.
We held our reception at JJ's Tavern and our guests raved about the food. Those who had the chicken said it was moist and very flavorful. We had the beef tenderloin and it was so tender you easily could have cut it with a butter knife. It was fine steakhouse quality meat. We loved JJ's for it's unique charm and it's porch allowed us to go outside and take in the wonderful mountain air whenever we needed a break from the dance floor.
We had our rehearsal dinner at CB Grille and once again it was perfect. If you are lucky enough to get Sarah as your waitress your evening will be that much better. They took care of everything and it was clear that they wanted our guests to be happy.
The one thing brides should know is that getting dressed up top is challenging because there isn't a lot of time for photographs after the wedding and you need to wait for the weather call before you head up. I recommend you plan on getting dressed at the base, put on practical shoes for the trip from the chairlift to Solitude Station and be ready to go the moment you get up top. That way you can get as many fabulous photos as possible. I would also recommend a wedding coordinator because you will be juggling people at very different locations.
Copper was the perfect place for our wedding and we couldn't be happier. We're still getting compliments on how unique and enjoyable the wedding was. Even those who were hesitant to ride the chairlift ultimately agreed it was worth it. I think if you check it out, you'd agree.

WOW, words cannot express what an amazing wedding and celebration we had at the resort! We are completely blown away with everything and everyone that made our special day/weekend so happy and memorable. Shannon Bianco was a pleasure to work with on the sales side, and then Louise Denny did the most phenomenal job as our Wedding Coordinator! She was always so helpful, responsive, personable, and thorough with all elements of the planning process and also the execution. Her, her team, and the Chef all did such a tremendous job of helping us create our day with meaning. From a customized Mediterranean menu, to helpful suggestions and ideas, to Louise’s attention to detail and customer satisfaction, to the fabulous banquet/bartending team, the entire Copper Team did an outstanding job!!! This has always been our favorite place to ski, but now we have additional lifelong memories of our special day thanks to all of you and your great work. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Forever Grateful,
Holly & Gerard

Having our wedding at Copper was the best choice we made, besides of course getting married! We are both from New England and knew we would have a lot of family and friends traveling to Colorado so we really wanted to make sure their experience was one to remember. There were four things that were important to us; excellent food, awesome photos, a great party, and one place to have all of the events, including lodging. The Copper team went above and beyond to make sure that happened for us.
From the start of picking dates and venues with Shannon to the last drink served at the reception, everything was well planned and executed smoothly. As many people know, planning your wedding can be a lot of work but our catering manager, Kyle, made it seem effortless. She took the time to talk through the little things and made it fun when I was most overwhelmed. When it came time for the big day, the Food & Beverage team made everything flow so seamlessly that I was able to fully enjoy our wedding without a single worry. Best of all, our family and friends raved about everything - lodging accommodations, the activities at Copper, and most of all the amazing meals. Their only complaint was that they had to go home! With all the choices you make as a bride, Copper is an easy one.

I loved my wedding at Copper Mountain. It had the most beautiful scenery and views at a more affordable price than other Colorado mountain resorts. There were a few occasions where I felt like they did not take care of me as well as they should have. Such as, there is only one tasting in the spring for all of the couples getting married that summer to go to. Unfortunately, we had a vacation planned on that weekend. They were not willing to do another tasting for us unless we wanted to pay a $200 chef fee and pay for the 3 plates at around $50 each. I just felt that if we were going to be spending $15,000 on food and drinks we should be able to try the food first at no charge. We also had some complaints from out guests trying to book reservations. It was confusing online and the people were not very informative over the phone. They did do a very beautiful job setting up my reception and making sure it went very smoothly! My advice to any brides would just be to plan a menu with your food and drinks (including sodas or tea if wanted) before you sign any contracts so you don't have any charges sneak up on you unexpectedly.

We got married in the chapel at Copper Mountain and had our reception at the Grand Hall at Copper Station, and our wedding day could have not been more perfect. Shannon Bianco, our catering manager was wonderful to work with, and the staff were professional and friendly throughout the process, and especially on our wedding day. We had so many guests say that it was the best wedding they had ever attended and that the food was the best tasting wedding food they had ever eaten. We had gorgeous weather and were able to take the lift to Solitude Station for some pictures as well. Our guests loved spending the weekend in such gorgeous surroundings. It was a wonderful day and we would not have changed anything.
