About this vendor
As the previous home to a copper fabricator, the building has been refurbished to retain aesthetic elements such as reclaimed steel, restored brick, exposed timbers, exotic woods, atrium skylights, open windows and glass garage doors that together impart a bright sense of comfort and warmth against Coppersmith’s industrial feel. The built-in food truck in the dining room, two outdoor spaces and an intimate café available for private dining, presents Coppersmith as a dynamic venue available for engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal and welcome dinners, or day after brunch accommodating groups from 10-150. The scratch kitchen led by award-winning Executive Chef Jason Heard, serves globally-influenced plates and and adventurous interpretations of classic dishes

If I could give Coppersmith 0 stars, I would. We reached out to Coppersmith 10 months before our rehearsal dinner, hoping to plan our event there! After waiting 2+ months, and being passed back and forth (and forgotten) by multiple contacts, we finally had someone to speak with. We went back and forth for months, confirming details, our menus (we had a lot of food allergies) and even went in person twice to meet with the team. We were assured everything would be fine but on the night of our rehearsal dinner, everything that could have gone wrong, did. There were not enough chairs for all of our guests and we had to ask multiple times for additional chairs, guests were served the wrong foods even after we made name cards with their food choices on them, my sister who had extremely bad food allergies was served one of her worst allergens and almost missed our wedding the next day (even after we had been assured that her food would be safe), our guests were being charged for alcohol even though we had explicitly stated we were paying for an open bar, and the AV equipment didn't work and no one in the entire restaurant could figure it out even after we had asked multiple times before the event if we could use it, and if everything was all set. That evening, the team did what they could to make it right but our event manager did not reach out to us after the fact and we had to chase her down. We spent 2+ months trying to reach out to her to make it right and they never did. We were appalled and would never recommend this restaurant to anyone for any function. They ruined our rehearsal dinner and almost ruined our wedding because my sister (the MOH) almost didn't make it because of her allergies from the night before.
In planning my wedding rehearsal dinner, I looked at many restaurants and picked Coppersmith in the end because it was near my house and a great value. I was able to host my rehearsal dinner party of about 28 people by renting out the cafe in Coppersmith. The food was delicious - I got a ton of compliments, and many of my guests ended up going to Coppersmith for dinner on their own in the weeks/months after my wedding. I also loved the ambience and look & feel of the cafe. Thanks Coppersmith for making my wedding rehearsal dinner so amazing!
