Marie Cordella is a master of her craft and so detail oriented. She’s hilarious and her studio is gorgeous. My dress is perfect! Can’t recommend her enough!

Simply put, Marie is a design genius. I cannot recommend her enough, particularly for pieces you really care about and want to make sure are cared for and finished on time and to perfection. Can't recommend Marie Cordella highly enough, especially if you want something custom. She is brilliant! Marie turned a sample-sale dress into the most beautiful, one of a kind wedding gown that made me feel like a goddess. She took my vision for a bridal look, figured out how we could achieve it, and added her own ideas and improvements. It was a fun, collaborative experience and my wedding dress exceeded the vision I'd had for it. It went from basic bridal to vintage Givenchy. She even designed and built me custom wedding accessories when I said I didn't want a veil but wanted *something* for the ceremony. She made me a detachable tulle shrug, and when she shortened my train, she saved that fabric, lined it, and turned it into a wrap, in case I got cold! This woman can take your wisp of an idea and turn it into a fully realized, better than you could have hoped for, wedding dress. And the construction! Her team of seamstresses are phenomenal. I was comfortable and confident all day and night at my wedding. Her studio is such a warm, affirming, supportive place. She's got a lot of energy, but she listens, and she's authentic and honest and funny. No matter how you feel about yourself when you walk in, you'll walk out feeling better. And you will look phenomenal.

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Marie and her team! There were so many stressful parts of wedding planning but the alterations were never a worry as soon as I entered the studio. Marie really cared about every detail - she not only fitted my dress to me perfectly but also helped to style my bridal look as a whole. She is the only one I would trust with mine or my friend's wedding alterations!

I met Marie at a friend’s wedding. When she said she was a designer I had no idea of the caliber of her skill and success. She invited me to her studio, where she literally draped a pattern and made a dress right on/in front of me. No words. So good. I could not be more impressed.

Marie is a true alterations queen! Her experience and expertise made the entire process a dream to work with her. My dress was an off the rack sample dress and when I first tried it on I assumed it would need minimal alterations. I was wrong. Once I brought it to Marie, she took so much care in making sure it fit perfectly to my body and kept me coming back until it look like it was hand crafted for me and my every curve. She even helped me with giving her opinion on accessories and other bridal looks for our wedding weekend. I truly could not recommend Marie and her team enough!

This was my second time working with Cordella Bridal! I mostly worked with the staff - as Marie was out of the studio. My pants were hemmed perfectly, and I appreciated Angela’s ideas on the ‘flare.’ Absolutely recommend.

I’m a client of Marie, Through out my experience she has cancelled 3 of my appointments, no showed for one in which when I arrived, one of my dresses was tossed on the floor, both of pairs of shoes ($500 and $1000) were in a box spilling out. (It’s gets worse) .. She has had my dresses since July, it is now October and TWO weeks before I leave for my wedding. She has had my dresses for Three-four months. She had not started any alterations on one of my dresses until about a week ago. I told her I could not come to raleigh for any more fittings past the first week of October given the proximity of her shop to where I live and the number of times I had already been there where there had been little to no progress on my dresses (now 5 times). Despite her reassuring me that the modifications required were "easy " and would take no more than a few hours... Imagine my shock when she ended up cancelling my last appointment (October 5) with a promise that over the next three days she would prioritize my dress, send me updates, photos and videos etc and have it ready by Monday. I hesitantly agreed because I was under the impression the modifications would only take hours. I checked in multiple times for these pictures and updates over the last couple days with only bread crumb responses to “sit tight” ..no progress pictures or updates of any kind. I have essentially been “ghosted.” This is a wedding nightmare you only hear of in movies and never imagine would actually happen to you. I finally heard from her Sunday “The dresses are available tomorrow at 10am. Your wedding dress looks exactly the way it did when it arrived.” Meaning the dress does not fit and does has had no alterations as agreed upon. I now have ONE week to either find a new tailor or purchase a brand new dress. I have so much more documentation, photos and screenshots of the manipulation, bread crumbing, moving the goal posts and gaslighting. Another point I want to mention incase you’re like me and base choices off of social media following... I would not normally look into to something like this if I was not desperate for answers. More than 80% of her following are purchased bots. Incase it’s any insight on who she is as a person and if you can trust her. I’m starting to wonder if her reviews are also fabricated.

Marie was a dream to work with! She made me feel so special throughout the whole process and took every care to ensure that my dress was perfect for my wedding day.

Marie is just truly... the best. SO talented. SO funny. Wedding planning and prep can be overwhelming and stressful but I can confidently say stepping into Marie's studio for each fitting helped all that move to the sideline. Her authenticity and humor are unmatched and I cannot recommend her enough. She is really a master of her craft and a friend throughout the process!!

I called Marie crying because I had unknowingly ordered a tricky dress and was being told the dress needed a ton of alterations. From the first meeting Marie assured me it wasn't a big deal and the dress would look custom to me by the time my wedding day came. Wow, was she right. The amount of patience and attention to detail she and the team put into it was astounding. On the day, the dress slipped on like a glove and my now husband was floored when he saw me. Every little detail made a difference in the fit and the way I moved in it and there's no doubt it's because I went to Cordella Bridal. Marie and her team are phenomenal at what they do! Not only were they such a fun team to work with - they altered my dress perfectly to fit my body. They were so receptive to what I envisioned my dream dress to be and what I felt comfortable with in terms of fit. On my wedding day I just slipped into my dress - no extra undergarments, pads, bra, etc. I felt like a goddess and was able to dance the night away! Marie and Waverley were amazing to work with, I came to them after I had somebody else do alterations to my wedding dress and they had messed it up. They fixed it and made it better than before. I then asked for a custom cape to be made, I gave them an idea and they made me a masterpiece. There are not enough words to tell them how grateful I am. They are amazing at what they do. Setting the bar extremely high, they are an in league all on their own.

Marie and her team are not just dressmakers they are DREAM-MAKERS! I brought her a topper and a skirt with an idea to create them into one beautiful dress. The fabric was delicate and I wanted the back completely remade. It’s like she took the image out of head. My dress was stunning and she continued to give me the confidence to rock it! Marie and George at Cordella Bridal were such MVPs in my wedding planning process! Going to their beautiful shop each time to try on my wedding dress and talk next steps in the alterations journey ended up being some of the best, most relaxing moments of the whole engagement year. I cannot say enough kind things about Marie and George. They fit both my wedding and reception dress to PERFECTION :) I don't say that lightly. My wedding dress felt like a second skin and gave me the "Bridgerton"-esque fit of my dreams. For my reception dress, they took a Poshmark dress that was tailored to someone else to feel like it was custom-made for me. She was not only full of ideas, options and opinions... she was really funny. I recently returned to the studio to have two separate dresses altered. Marie and her team are SO wonderful! They are lively, honest, silly, so intelligent, and do AMAZING work. They are on the more expensive end, but I promise that it is worth every cent. All I can says is WOW! Marie and her team went above and beyond for me during my alterations process. They produce quality and timely alterations and I would recommend them to anyone in the NC or surrounding areas. Last minute I brought in a fur jacket that was not the most flattering and Marie cut the jacket and tailored it to fit like a dream. Not to mention all 1 week before my wedding date! They go above and beyond for their clients and truly make the process easy and magical. Loved every minute of working with them!

So so happy! I brought in a dress that I ordered online that was a big disappointment. She completely transformed the dress to my boho dream gown. She and her team were such a pleasure to work with. Her creativity, attention to detail and craftsmanship are unparalleled.

Absolutely fantastic. Cordella Bridal did my alterations for my wedding dress and they were amazing. They were amazing at giving advice on any alterations needed with the dress and made me feel confident in trusting them! Not only that my dress looked fantastic! When I picked up my dress for the big day everything was beautifully packaged and steamed ready to go for my big day. They were so good at making everything simple and stress free!

I was recommended Marie by my bridal shop. I had to cancel my wedding 3 times because of covid and my alteration process was by far the worst part of my wedding planning. I didn’t meet Marie until my third time going there, I worked mostly with her assistant. My dress fit fairly well prior to getting alterations however I wanted a more tight fit, when talking to Marie’s assistant she told me that the way it fit me was a European fit and that if I wanted it tighter that it would look “trashy and tacky”. I stood my ground and she stated that it’s just her job to let me know what she thought. The next time I went I showed up with a friend because I felt so uncomfortable the first time trying to speak up for what I wanted. This time when I tried on my dress they had not tighten it, I asked them why they hadn't and the assistant then asked me AGAIN if I really want it and that she feels it will look tacky... I showed the picture of it pinned by her and told her I want it like that. I also asked about adding buttons to the back of my dress and she told me it wouldn’t look good and said no, even though I had a picture of what the dress looked like with buttons. When I finally met Marie she was very unprofessional and only talked to her assistant about her life while acting as if I wasn’t there. When talking about final alterations I asked to skip out on a few of the things because I didn’t feel like it would make a big difference and I didn’t want to pay the extra amount. They did them anyway and charged me an extra $150 on top of the already absurd amount they charged me for the other alterations. On top of all of that they also took weeks, multiple emails in a row and phone calls in order to finally receive an answer from them. Needless to say I was not pleased, they were unprofessional and made what should have been the most fun part of wedding planning very unpleasant and stressful.

Marie & her team are the best at their craft! Marie is so fun, nice, and honest! I was so thankful for her attention to detail! My dress was perfect and way beyond my expectations!!

Marie and her team did an amazing job with the alterations on my dress. She was very detail oriented and made sure I had the perfect fit with my dress - it was even better than I ever imagined it would be and I was so excited to wear it on my wedding day. She is also really fun to work with and I enjoyed each appointment (laughs included)! Even though I had to completely change my wedding during these crazy pandemic times, I knew I could trust Marie with my dress and that was one less thing I had to figure out or think about which was extremely helpful.

Marie and her team are INCREDIBLE. I really can't speak highly enough of them. They were great about getting me in for fittings and alterations ahead of my wedding, and they also accommodated altering my dress post-wedding (to shorten it). They are so much fun and their work is FLAWLESS! The dress I bought at Gilded Bridal in Raleigh was actually 3 separate pieces that Marie had put together into a beautiful ensemble. I bought it off the rack and only had to make minimal alterations. My dress has many layers, and Marie was able to shorten all of them to the perfect length and made it fit me perfectly. If you want piece of mind with your alterations, definitely go to Marie and her team!!

THE BEST PLACE EVER!!! I came to Marie Cordella after getting my dress altered at another place that almost ruined my dress. Marie and Georgia were so kind to me about my mistake and were persistent on fixing my dress, they told me several times they wouldn’t let me walk down the aisle unless it was perfect! I really appreciated their willingness to take on the challenge and they completely transformed my dress into the most perfect dress I’d ever seen- it looked even better than it did in the store! Not to mention- they’re super friendly and funny yet professional, they made me feel so comfortable and confident, I could tell me dress was in good hands!

LOVE! My dress was fairly simple and I was pretty sure what I wanted though I definitely went down the Pinterest rabbit hole of a million possibilities. Marie was great at explaining what those options would look like in reality and honestly, reminding what would look best on my figure and be comfortable for an entire day. I wanted two different looks (ceremony and reception) and was convinced it wouldn't be possible, but Marie assured me it could be done AND look good. I'm so excited about my dress and appreciate how much fun she and her team made the entire process!

Marie's talents are like nothing I've ever seen before and resulted in me feeling like a million dollars on my wedding day. She's a designer who can take your vision of the dress you purchased and turn it into reality. I special ordered a simple silk crepe dress and added two inches to the waist because I have a long torso but it messed up the proportions of everything else on the dress. Marie and team had to basically create a new dress and it turned out beautifully. I got a ton of compliments on my wedding day and I felt like the dress was exactly how I wanted it to be. It is a collaborative effort though and you will have to speak up and say what you want, if you don't like something, etc. But any time I had a concern Marie completely met it with professionalism and a sincere desire to meet and exceed client needs. The price is worth the peace of mind and craftsmanship you get in the final product I promise you!

Marie and team are absolutely terrific. When I first walked into her shop, I was instantly welcomed. I brought her my dress after another seamstress in NJ had done a poor job of altering it. It looked terrible when I brought it in and I did not feel beautiful in it. Marie and her team validated all of my concerns with the dress and promised to make it better. And they delivered. My dress looked more beautiful than I could’ve ever hoped and working with the team was wonderful. They always made me feel like their most important customer and were always glad to see me. Their prices are more than fair for the quality of work they provide. Two people stepped on my dress during the wedding, which created a tear in the lining and pulled out one of the bustle points. I told the team and they encouraged me to bring it in. They fixed the dress on the same day for free. I’d highly recommend taking your dress to this team for alterations. They won’t let you down.

I was referred to Marie Cordella by my bridal shop. I loved my dress but my unique measurements made for a frumpy cut, I'll say. Marie was so personable and had me put on the dress and immediately went to work pinning it up. As she was pinning, I saw the dress come together the way I imagined. By the next fitting, I was already in love and from there, I met with Georgia for most of my additional fittings. Georgia is a talent in her own right, telling me the story of how she got into the business through sewing with her grandmother. Georgia took her time to look over the dress and think through each detail. When the dress was complete, I couldn't have been happier-until I woke up in the middle of the night the day before pick up. My dress was perfectly tailored to my body with a beautiful sweep train but I had been practicing a waltz that means I needed that sweep train to come up. I went in for pick up and explained to Georgia my concern. She put me back in the dress and we considered a bustle. But since the sweep was so slight, that wouldn't look good. So we decided to even the length across the dress. What I loved was that Georgia really took time to look at all the options before giving me the best advice. Ultimately, it was perfect for the wedding and my dance. These ladies are talented, personable and have professional integrity. My experience with them was aces. I highly recommend them. I hired Marie + team to work on my dress for my wedding. My bustle broke during the cocktail hour and my wedding coordinator had to jimmy rig it for the remaining hours of the night. I ended up having to tie it and it looked ... not great. I also contacted her multiple times after my wedding regarding fixing the dress post wedding with no response. Multiple emails, calls, and Instagram messages with no response. I enjoyed my experience in the studio but post that - not happy.

Marie altered a dress for me and made me feel like a princess! Her studio space was clean, & unique and her warm personality made it so easy. Excellent work!

Marie and her team at Cordella are incredible! I had a total dress fiasco -- the dress I originally purchased fell through and I had to buy a dress off the rack that I liked but didn't necessarily love. From the get-go Marie was 10000% committed to making sure I got my dream dress. Between alterations and a custom designed lace topper, I ended up with a dress that I loved even more than my original dress. Marie is a true expert -- if you're looking for someone to trust with your dress, look no further!

Marie is absolutely AMAZING! She was recommended by Gilded Bridal where I got my dress. She and her team were great to work with, paid attention to all the small details and made sure my dress fit me perfectly. I highly recommend her and her team. Many of my future-bride friends and family are also using her for their gowns! She is the best at what she does and it shows in her work.

I can't say enough great things about the designer, Marie Cordella, and her awesome team of assistants/seamstresses. I heard about Cordella Bridal from multiple friends and from several east coast bridal salons (where I initially tried on dresses.) Ultimately, I bought a base dress and had Marie make a gorgeous custom lace-overlay. I am so far beyond satisfied with my experience and can't say enough great things. My custom/modified dress was PERFECT. She wouldn't stop until it was better than I could have imagined. She literally insisted that I let her make my product better with each fitting. The studio is located in downtown, beautiful and thoughtfully styled. Her relationship with her main assistant is adorable. I miss going there! Marie is super skilled, attentive, diligent and hilarious. Do yourself a favor and have Cordella Bridal make any custom dresses, modify any garments or alter anything else related to your wedding <3

Very disappointed. Appointments are rushed, I did not feel listened to, and I was not able to try the dress on at pick up. My dress was literally falling off of me 2 days before my wedding. I had to have an emergency fitting with someone else, and they ended up fixing multiple different areas on the dress. They were honestly appalled with the work that was done/not done. They charged me a fraction of the price that I was charged by Marie, and they did significantly more work. When I tried to express my concern through emails, she was rude and condescending. She told me the dress did not fit due to significant weight loss...I did not lose weight or body mass between the week of picking up and trying it on. Her recommendation was to "put fashion tape literally all around the back and neckline" in order to keep my dress up. She has also posted false and hurtful things about me on her twitter and Facebook using my full name. This is my honest review and recommendation from one bride to another.

Marie fitted my dress for my recent wedding. She did an amazing job to make sure that my dress fit perfectly (and it did)! She went above and beyond and even helped customize my dog's wedding bow tie. I 100% recommend her!!!

Marie is AMAZING. She was a dream to work with, made sure my dress fit me perfectly, and created the most beautifully unique bustle. I would 10/10 recommend her to any bride.
