We hired Cordial & Craft to bar tend the open bar at our wedding last week, and they were fantastic! We purchased all our own alcohol, and in addition to bar tenders Cordial & Craft provided garnishes, ice tins, cups, etc. Lexie was communicative, thorough, and lovely to work with in advance, and her two bartenders were professional and made delicious drinks. I also appreciate that no one shamed me for thinking that San Pellegrino was the same as tonic, ha. Excellent service!
I have thought long and hard about how I want to approach this review. Up until our wedding, communication with Lexie (the owner) was great, she was prompt, I believed we were on the same page, and she seemed to be on top of everything. We were planning for an Indian fusion wedding across the country, so it was very important for us to have all the details sorted out, I went with C&C because of the great reviews. However, the day of service was VERY disappointing and the way in which Lexie conducted her business and handled the fall out of the event was terrible. Lexie and team had many weeks/months to coordinate with the restaurant we were supplying food from, however, how the day was handled, it did not seem like they had done nearly enough planning and coordinating. As a bride and groom, this is the last thing we should worry about and while our planner did an excellent job shielding us from the brunt of this, we were not oblivious to the mess going on in the back because of the poor planning and lack of pre-communication. Additionally, most alarming, CC shut our bar service 30 min earlier than the contract stated and on OUR wedding day, Lexie (remind you, she is the owner) was arguing with us about timing UNTIL she realized after we + venue owner + planner showed her the contract. During our debrief call, she then denied shutting service early and blamed it on liability. While I understand liability and servicing, as a small business owner, I think it is equally important to take ownership of both the exceptional parts and failures of your service. Lexie failed to do this, even when she had several opportunities. Additionally, we hired ( at Lexie’s suggestion, knowing the guest count and alcoholic drinkers) 3 bartenders and 4 additional staff, which apparently on the day of was insufficient, so she decided to restaff and under staff the bar, causing for long lines and less bars then planned for (there was also disagreement in the contract vs. planning conversations/emails on number of bars, so please read your contracts closely if you decide to go with CC). While I understand as a business owner you have to make these calls, the way Lexie handled (or failed to handle) the day of, was very unprofessional and resulted in terrible service that I would not wish on any couple. Perhaps CC is short staffed, or their new staff is not trained properly, but Lexie did not handle the situation right, nor did she try and attempt to fix it, which was really disheartening considering how smoothly things went before the wedding. I would HIGHLY DISCOURAGE anyone planning a wedding to go with this company and I do not say that lightly.
Lexie was super to work with, and the bartender was a hit at our wedding. Everybody said that she was the coolest bartender they'd met. And the drinks were amazing! Lexie helped design custom cocktails for us, including a mocktail for a couple of us (including lightweights like my husband). The whole thing, from the artistry to the professionalism and communication, to the quality of the drinks and staff, was just perfect. Highly recommend!
I cannot say enough about how amazing Heidi and her team were. They made our big day exactly what we envisioned it. There was a huge storm that hit about ten minutes before our ceremony, but it honestly didn't matter because the rain plan was executed perfectly and Heidi was so sweet and encouraging and Crystal made sure that everything looked absolutely perfect inside. I loved how organized everything was and how little stress I had the day of about anything going on behind the scenes. I just had to show up and know that everything was being taken care of perfectly! Hiring a coordinator was the best decision we made about this wedding and I am so glad we got to meet these lovely folks!
We used Cordial + Craft's beverage and floral services for our wedding. They were incredibly flexible to work with on all quotes, willing to change details and make everything just the way we wanted. Our bar staff were not only professional, but super fun! Which we got many compliments on throughout the evening.
With the floral services, we ordered flowers for our ceremony arbor - they were INSANE. I cannot express enough the value received, the arrangement was breathtaking. We also ordered several strands of greenery garland for our reception area, which were so gorgeous and lush. Highly recommend this staff for all things wedding!
We hosted Taste of Compassion this past October. This event is one of the largest fundraisers in Western North Carolina.
We reached out to Cordial & Craft looking for the best price for our event. They gave us a huge deal enabling us to save money, and save more animals lives.

We worked with Cordial & Craft for our wedding this past September and they were nothing short of amazing! Heidi and Lexie were super responsive and worked with us to create custom cocktails for our big day! Not only that, we ended up hiring extra bartenders so our guests wouldn't need to go up to the bar during the evening and everyone keeps talking about how amazing their service was; nobody ever needed for anything! We had two bars (inside & outside) and they styled both to perfection! Their crew was knowledgeable and professional, yet all the guests had a great time interacting with everyone! Thank you guys for everything!!! It was truly the best day ever!
I found Cordial & Craft for my wedding after I was disappointed in another company’s customer service. WOW! I was blown away by the kindness received from Heidi from the very beginning. She listened to my needs and gave great advice and was so helpful. She and Lexie stayed in communication with me up until our big day. They put my mind at ease with any questions or concerns I had. Our bartender, Amanda, was also amazing! She was so personable and always had a smile on her face. There were no issues with service! I would highly recommend them to anyone and already have to a few venues!

One bartender went out of her way to make sure that my husband and I always had what we needed throughout the evening and we really appreciated that while running around to greet our guests. I am BEYOND thankful for the amazing work of Cordial + Craft! I used them as our floral & decor vendor for our wedding in Asheville last Saturday (May 5, 2018) and in an emergency, they actually ended up becoming our very last minute bartenders! They not only saved the day with their help but also made my wedding a dream come true! I worked with Crystal Lucinian throughout the planning process, until the very end, and she hands-down executed the EXACT idea/theme that I had wanted and imagined for my most important, special day to every last detail. Everything went smoothly as we worked together for MONTHS, planning the wedding of my dreams and she was extremely communicative. In fact, considering this was a destination wedding, I was planning everything here in St. Petersburg, Florida. Crystal's family actually lives about an hour or so away from me and when she was in town for the holidays Crystal took the time to drive out to meet me and go over my floral and decor needs. What a champ she is! Again, I am beyond thankful to work with such amazing people like Crystal and the Cordial + Craft crew.
Great working with them! We used them for both bringing the bar supplies and for the bar tending services at our wedding. The night went over great!! We had some left over alcohol, which we were okay with as we wanted to make sure we didn’t run out. We were able to bring it home at the end of the night as well! Highly recommend this company!
We loved, loved, loved working with Cordial & Craft. They covered more than just the bar--they helped with flowers, decor, planning, catering staff, photos, etc. Heidi, Lexie, Amanda, Crystal and the whole team are great with details. We had oysters on our first date and knew we wanted to serve them during our cocktail hour and they easily found and booked an oyster shucker to assist our chef. Those little details made all the difference! I highly recommend them for any event.
They also really understood our barnyard-boho theme + when I said I want my wedding "to look DIY, but I want to be surprised by it all," they totally got it and filled in all the gaps to give it that look and feel. I enjoyed the day so much knowing that they had taken care of all the details. Best of all, they enjoy their work and it really shines through. Everyone on the team was calm, collected and all smiles on our wedding day.
Could not be happier! Heidi and Lexi worked tirelessly to provide us with exactly what we wanted and within our budget. Folks! Ignore the $$$$ because you really are going to get a great deal from these guys! It's also priceless to get to the end of your wedding day and realise how flawless the food and bar service was, the staff (I dislike using that term but what can you do!) even came up to me while I was exhausted from endless photographs and asked if they could get me anything. I really appreciated that and it's those little details that make Cordial and Craft so worthwhile.
Cordial & Craft provided bar staff, took care of our bar, created signature cocktails, and provided us with a wedding planner; Amanda. Planning a wedding from another state is hard, but Amanda picked up where we left off and took the reigns, and made sure we had nothing to worry about. She would constantly check in with us on the day of to make sure we were okay, and everything flowed smoothly! Also, Heidi and Lexie are extremely efficient in answering emails! We had changed our minds about so many things throughout the whole planning process, they were extremely helpful about it all.
Hands down the best decision I made surrounding my wedding ceremony & reception was to hire Cordial & Craft! Heidi, Amanda, Cataldo, and Lexie provided more attention, specialized consideration, and general assistance than advertized and expected. Every interaction was pleasant, professional and helpful and resulted in my walking away absolutely confident that my wishes would be executed successfully and that I was not overlooking anything that may have otherwise contributed to an unexpected mishap on the day of the event.
Even a relaxed, indoor/outdoor, no-fuss wedding requires extensive planning and logistical considerations to ensure a smoothly flowing sequence of events while accounting for the various needs and expectations of guests. Heidi and Amanda took my preliminary plan and helped me fill-in all the missing details by sharing their previous event-planning experiences so that I could develop a comprehensive and individualized plan of my own. This happened over the course of weeks through various emails, text messages, and meetings over beer and tea. Heidi & Amanda’s love and excitement for weddings and other gatherings were abundantly clear, and they were truly invested in making my event spectacular and communicated effectively with the staff at Lake Eden.
Regarding decorations & set-up/clean-up, Amanda and Heidi’s decorations were breathtakingly beautiful from the windy hilltop ceremony to the rustic indoor barn reception. I had provided loose ideas and encouraged them to be creative. They even decorated the bride & groom cabin with flowers and wedding gifts, and they stocked the fridge with drinks & leftover food, which was an unexpected surprise at the end of the night!
Regarding photography, Cataldo made sure he knew our “must-have” shots ahead of time and even experimented with various lenses and lighting options on a site-visit to Lake Eden long before the day of the wedding. He and his photographer assistant, Lina, were on the sidelines- or right in the action at times – of every special mini-event throughout the day from pre-ceremony photos to the send-off. Cataldo and Lina were particularly gifted at working with my goofy, camera-shy groom and were directive but not demanding, relaxed but purposeful.
Regarding bartending and food service, Lexie and her supporting staff of bartenders and food attendants made sure that my guests had everything they needed from Old Fashions to assistance locating the gluten-free dessert option. The reception staff were pleasant and appeared to enjoy being part of our event!
I highly recommend Cordial & Craft for any event large or small and will forever be grateful to have had them at my wedding!
Cordial & Craft handled the bartending, bar catering, service staff, and food delivery for our wedding. Heidi and Lexi were so helpful in working with us (answering my many e-mails) and coordinating between multiple vendors leading up to and on our wedding day. They fulfilled our every request and on my wedding day I wasn't worried about a thing because I knew they had it under control!
Cordial and Craft could not have have been more helpful with recommendations, helpful tips, and assistance with picking crowd pleasers. Heidi was prompt and curtious throughout the whole planning process. We could not give enough praises to her and her team.
Heidi and her team were unbelievably helpful during the whole process of my wedding- from planning to the end of the wedding! Heidi was extremely good at communicating with my whole family, always responding promptly and putting a lot of time into finding our perfect drinks and price point. She was willing to work with us over and over again to make it flawless. The day of the wedding, everything was perfect! The specialty cocktails were a highlight. I would trust Cordial and Craft time and time again and I would recommend them to anyone! They made everything easy! :)
Cordial & Craft are excellent, especially Crystal. She went above and beyond to make sure our special day went smoothly. I especially appreciated her eagerness to take charge of specific decorating facets (ceiling tulle, etc.,) so that I could focus more on bridal things. Cordial and Craft was a huge asset to my son and his new wife's wedding event! They were well organized, extra helpful, had great ideas and really worked hard on the day of their wedding to make everything perfect! Crystal did a great job of coordinating all of the vendors so they were ready to go! They had an excellent bartending staff, too. It did not take us long to realize the value of their services! We highly recommend this wonderful company!
Cordial & Craft did an amazing job coordinating our wedding. In fact, I would say they worked magic. It was an out-of-the-box ceremony, with a blend of Scottish and Cherokee traditions. And the reception was carnival-themed, with an unbelievable cast of characters, including a fire-breather, a puppeteer, and a contortionist! Everything was above and beyond our expectations!

My parents and I worked with Heidi as a day-of planner for my wedding at Yesterday Spaces on 8/14/16. I am a Project Manager at my job, and was extremely impressed by Heidi's attention to detail, attentiveness, responsiveness, and positive attitude. She has a ton of knowledge about events and weddings and helped mine run very smoothly.
She even worked with my in-laws to help us find a caterer for our rehearsal dinner. Her team also provided the alcohol, which kept things really easy. She helped run the rehearsal so that we were all prepped for the big day.
She let me share my vision and offered great advice when I asked. She also answered so many questions about Asheville and the event in general over the months before the wedding.
I live on the West Coast so couldn't do the walk-through of the venue before the event, so she Facetimed me and my husband in and walked us through the venue for over an hour. That kind of service goes above and beyond!
The day of the wedding Heidi and her team (including Melissa, Lexie and Tristen) took care of the details to make sure everything was in place, vendors arrived, and even got the flower girls and ring bearers in place.
In the end, my wedding wouldn't have been so low-stress if Heidi and Cordial & Craft hadn't been there. I 100% recommend them!
Overall, I would highly recommend Cordial and Craft, Heidi, Rachel, and their team. They made sure our wedding vision came to life (and, in a lot of ways helped us create it), were always available and enthusiastic, and made sure things week of and day of went off without a problem!! We had 150 people at our wedding, and I ended up being a pretty detailed-oriented, organized, opinionated bride :)
PROS:
- Throughout the wedding process, I felt taken care of and respected. Both Rachel and Heidi always answered my emails within 72 hours, and we set up at least 4 skype/phone conversations over the 9 months of working with them. They also went out of their way to accommodate many vendor meetings/taste testings/etc. They gave recommendations of various vendors to use, but ultimately let me decide, and weren’t super picky or pushy at any point in the process.
- The team went above and beyond in many ways, esspecially since I was planning the wedding from another coast (I lived in San Francisco, and hadn’t spent a ton of time in the Asheville area). They shared ideas with me, but never made me feel pressured to take them.
- As the wedding got closer, they really stepped up and took over some things: (1) sensing that I was a hyper-organized bride, 2-months out from the wedding Rachel put together a beautifully detailed timeline for the day and map of the different locations with our decor items labeled. (2) about a month before they went to the venue without me, brought linens samples, Facetime-d me in, showed me the different samples in the different locations, helped me decide which linens, and then confirmed the linen order for me (3) we came up with a vision for our photo booth together, and Rachel spent an afternoon at Michael’s buying last minute materials and made sure the photo booth came to life! And it was PERFECT
- Day of, things went great. Both Heidi and Rachel were on site at the rehearsal dinner and at the wedding, starting at 10:30am (for a 3:30pm ceremony). I made sure all the decor items were there, but they handled ALL the setup (even putting stickers on items, unwrapping frames from boxes, etc) and all of the vendor coordination. My guests said it was the most thoughtful and organized wedding they’d been to. And I didn’t have to stress out at all that day!
- They handled me, our families, and our friends with amazing grace, and never showed frustration, angst, etc. They brought a ‘day of’ kit with everything we may need, including eye drops (when my eyelashes started falling off). They adjusted our schedule live as necessary. They also had to ‘cut off’ 3 people from the bar, and did so in a way that was totally loving and appropriate. They made sure we had food to take with us, and that our luggage made it on the bus.
THINGS TO KNOW:
- The rehearsal took a bit too long; if you have an experienced bridal party, you won't need to practice 3 times!
- We ran about 20 minutes behind the timeline, which stressed me out. I would just make sure to go through the timeline with them in detail if that could bother you!
- I think my guests drink a lot more than your average - so keep this in mind - but apparently they had to go get more alcohol 3 times. Heidi is super experienced at bars, and all in all, it worked out - we never ran out of alcohol from the guests perspective! BUT our 2 signature cocktails, our wine, and our beer all ran out the first time by 8:30 (only to run out 2 more times).
My husband and I are craft beer fanatics, so when our venue recommended Cordial and Craft, we jumped on it! We met with Heidi and Lexie before the wedding to plan out our drink menu which included a variety of local craft beers, red and white wine, and two cocktails (a cask old fashioned and a hot rum cider). They designed our bride and groom drinks, selected our red and white wines and helped us to select beers that would appeal to many different guests. Our guests loved everything, even our wine drinkers! Cordial and Craft also supplied mimosas for our morning brunch. They were a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend their services!
