We used Cosmopolitan Catering for our wedding at Louland Falls! My guests still cannot stop talking about how amazing the food was! Mark was very professional the entire time we were communicating and did a fantastic job of putting together our menu! We are so grateful we trusted them with our wedding!
If you’re looking for a wedding food catering company with a wide variety of options (helloooo s’mores bar!), delicious food (I’m looking at you, prime rib), fantastic pricing and staff that is so friendly and easy to work with, look no further! Mark Petrey and the Cosmo Catering staff made our wedding a hit with our guests! The whole process of choosing what food we wanted was extremely simple and working with Mark to plan it all was a breeze (he always responded quickly to emails and picked up the phone when called). It was also nice to know that if there was something that we wanted changed on the menu after we first discussed it, it wasn’t a huge deal. The quality of food we were given was fantastic and so was the price! From dinner to dessert to cake service to making sure plates were cleared, the staff was amazing! We actually also used them as our bar service, which they also did a fantastic job with. If we had to do it all over again, we wouldn’t change anything! Mark and the staff at Cosmo Catering are fantastic and we would definitely recommend using them for your wedding caterer!
I promise this will be worth the read. From the moment we met Mark we were not impressed. He never showed any interest in catering in our wedding. My husband and I got married at Louland Falls in June and he was the preferred caterer ( we were also told he and his crew were excellent and we didn't want to pay $300 to use someone else) so we had faith, after all, hes been in the wedding business for years. From the first email I sent him I let him know that I have celiac and he said "no problems I've catered tons of weddings that required gluten free!" So again, I was excited and had a little faith. About two months before our wedding the amazing Lize (previous owner of Louland Falls) announced she had to move away to be closer to family for medical reasons and she was leaving Louland in the hands of Mark. I instantly had anxiety. I told my fiance and my mom and they felt the same way. We met with him to discuss details and the whole time he was bad mouthing Lize, saying awful things. I almost walked out. As the wedding got closer Mark emailed my mom (she was a huge part of planning) asking for specific details for food as well as for the venue. A few days later he emailed me asking for the exact information my mom had sent him. We made a plan to speak on the phone about the details again after I'd sent them with my moms email attached. He then wanted to speak on the phone about the same details, so we set a time. I called at the agreed time...no answer and full mailbox, so I sent an email letting him know, hey I called when you are free I would love to talk about the details!- kind of thing. Nothing. So later on I call again, same thing, email sent. I get an email saying he will call at 6, so I made sure I was home and had everything ready and waited...until 6:45. He still seemed like he had no idea what was going on. He asked who was taking care of the linens and I explained that my mom was and some other things were going to be delivered. My anxiety grew. The NIGHT BEFORE the wedding, he calls my mom and asks "So who is taking care of the linens?" Are you freaking kidding me?? So lets get to the day. He never followed up with the room divider and cake table linen delivery and when he was told it wasn't under the brides last name he asked, "what other name could it be under?". My mom went full on momma bear. He had no idea. So now food. He assured me he and his crew had catered "tons of gluten free weddings!" Since me and only one other person required gluten free buns I asked for only 5, so we both could eat and I could have some to take to the hotel after....there was one gluten free dinner roll the size of my palm. And then, one of ladies serving gave my husband his regular all gluten bun, then grabbed mine without changing gloves or taking any precautions that we had spoke about, so I couldn't eat it. I only ate fruit as nothing else was gluten free.. As the night was winding down one of the ladies asked if I would like a plate to go and I asked if there were any gluten free buns left...nope. Just the one. I didnt have a chance to eat until we arrived in Mexico at 5pm the next day. Btw..gluten free requires more money. No one saw him the whole night. Thank God weddings don't revolve around food. Other than Mark and cosmopolitan catering, our day was a dream. I would not recommend at all.
We were very happy with Cosmopolitan Catering for our daughter's reception. The crepe bar was great. All the workers were really helpful. Mark also helped us with the cake set up and that was greatly appreciated. It was a delightful evening. Thanks Cosmopolitan Catering!
Cosmopolitan did an amazing job catering our Wedding a week ago. They helped guide us through what we needed, what we could afford and put together a delectable menu that everyone loved! We highly recommend them for any event!
Cosmopolitan Catering catered our outdoor wedding at Louland Falls, and they did such a fantastic job! They laid out all of the food on beautiful stone slabs, and even though we had basic picnic foods like croissant sandwiches, fruits & veggies, cheeses and crackers, they made it look like a super fancy arrangement! Not to mention everything tasted fantastic, and all of our guests were raving about them afterwards :) Would definitely recommend!
Mark was great to work with throughout the whole planning process and he made sure that we stayed within our budget as well as doing a tasting for us. I was very excited to eat the food we had picked out and had made sure to email him the complete list of food we wanted a week before the wedding. But the day of the wedding he made the wrong chicken and potato dish for the wedding dinner! I was very disappointed :( the food was still good but not as good as what I had ordered. He was also cross with my guests and snapped at them if they came to get seconds on the reception food. I think he stretched himself too thin this wedding season and it showed in my wedding unfortunately.
Amazing and friendly service. The food was unbelievably delicious.
The day my daughter and I met Mark, she had given up, and was ready to get married in Vegas! Cosmpolitan was recommended by a man that I work with. We met with his assistant, Dana, first. She was such a delight. She had us both at ease, and had convinced us that everything would be just fine. We instantly loved her!
When we met Mark, we knew that she was correct. The two of them seem to compliment each other, and worked so well together to help us plan, and come up with a beautiful and delicious menu. Even though money was not an issue, he made sure that he was fair, and did not make me feel that I was being charged according to what I could afford. That was refreshing.
Mark's presentation was amazing! He does such an incredible job, and pays such attention to detail. He also listened to my daugher, and made sure that she had the wedding she wanted.
His staff was professional, dressed nicely, and were extremely accomodating and helpful.
I would, and have many times recommended him. I can't wait until my second daughter gets married! I know it will go smoothly and be perfect.
Thank you Mark, and your staff for a job well done!
Cosmopolitan Catering catered our wedding last summer and did a very professional job. They were on time, had plenty of food, and the presention was beuatiful. They created menus based on our budget and there were no hidden costs. Overall we couldn't be happier. Highly recommend!!
Mark was so helpful by not just being my caterer but also helping with all the chaos of the reception center. he does an amazing job and an amazing looking spread. His food is delicious and he is just a wonderful person to handle any business with. Thank you so much
Several guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had! The price was very reasonable. We definitely recommend this caterer.
Cosmopolitan catering was fabulous. Mark was able to work with me on a specific menu that I wanted for the wedding dinner. His food tastes fabulous and is well priced.
His presentation of the food is spectacular. His website doesn't give very good pictures (they are kind of small) of what he does. His facebook page does a better job at showing off his presentation of food.
Mark was easy to work with and did a fabulous job of serving at the wedding and was there at the wedding himself.
I'd highly recommend him to anyone.
We had the crepe buffet from Cosmopolitan and loved it, and at only $7.00 a head, it was perfect for our budget wedding.
He stayed within my budget, offered delicious food, customized to my needs, and his staff were absolutely great to my guests. He became a little grumpy at the end of the wedding, but other than that he was really great to work with.
